If the rumor is true, Mr. Basso was summoned to the White House to explain the "disturbing video." We don't know know for certain if Mr. Basso was called to the White House and, for certain we do know if the White House thinks Basso's videos are, indeed, disturbing. Stay tuned. Luton March Cancelled: Luton March Rescheduled

The March for England organization scheduled a planned peaceful demonstration for March 28th in Luton, England. The purpose of the march was to demonstrate against Muslim thugs who loudly "protested at a homecoming parade in Luton on March 11th for forces of the Royal Anglican Regiment returning from Iraq." The Home Secretary [similar to the U.S. Homeland Security] said the Muslim protest was not against the law, but it was clearly upsetting to the community. Much of the community believes that Luton is a front for al-Qaeda in Britain. So the community planned a peaceful protest against the radical Muslims who yelled obscenities at the returning soldiers (see first video below). They were not forbidden to march, but in the end, the march was canceled out of respect to authorities because authorities did not:

...want to inflame the situation when the town is doing well in returning to its usual state of harmony.

Those wanting to demonstrate against the Muslim thugs were called Right Wing Fascists by some city Fathers. One said they need to "have a look at their sad lives." You see other statements in the second video below. How would you feel if the same happened in your neighborhood? So while either Muslims or non-Muslims can gather to demonstrate, it is only the white and maybe blue eyed Brits that are called upon to keep the peace, no matter the cost. And liberty and freedom of speech slip through the cracks of a inept government. And Islam laughs up it's sleeve. Luton is located 32 miles north of London and has a population of about 230,000. The parade has been rescheduled for St. George's Day, April 23rd. Another gathering in Luton is scheduled for April 12th. Details are in the video. EU Likes Obama's Afghan Strategy: Promises 'Civilian Surge'

No only does the EU like Obama's Afghanistan strategy, they like it because it is a European-style-strategy. They like it so much that they are answering President Obama's call for the rest of the world to help with the battle. Sure...we'll send help. We will provide a "civilian surge." What?

"(Obama's) new strategy comes very close to the European ideas about the mission in Afghanistan," said German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier during informal EU talks in the Czech Republic on Friday, March 27.

The US president unveiled his administration's strategic review for Afghanistan in a renewed effort to stabilize the country, saying a major goal will be to shut down the al-Qaeda terrorist network in Afghanistan and Pakistan using a bolstered troop presence.

"We have a clear and focused goal: to disrupt, dismantle and defeat al-Qaeda in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and to prevent their return to either country in the future," Obama said.

The announcement came at a time when violence in Afghanistan is at its highest level since US-led forces invaded in 2001 to oust the Taliban from power.

It echoed a long-standing European view that the Taliban insurgency cannot be defeated by military means alone. Instead, the US is now planning a wider approach to the problem, involving Pakistan and other regional players, and helping Afghanistan take care of its own security.

"I believe that the president's announcement today will strike a very strong chord with Europeans," said British Foreign Minister David Miliband, whose country is the second-largest contributor after the US to NATO's operations in Afghanistan.

The bottom line is, several countries are clamoring to help train the Afghan police (and that's a good thing), but no one wants to fight the Taliban, even though President Obama said today, we will defeat them. In today's speech, the President said we have a goal:

...to disrupt, dismantle and defeat al-Qaida in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and prevent their return to either country in the future.

This is good. I wonder where they'll go. One thing is certain, it won't be Iraq. Here's more:

I'm liking it. The U.S. military has learned a lot in Iraq. Now they will take this hard-earned knowledge go Afghanistan, and we must pray that the bureaucrats, both political and military will let our brave men and woman fight this fight and get it over with. Much of this would have been accomplished years ago if it were not for our pitiful, pandering and cowardly Congress.

This is not simply an American problem - far from it, Obama said.

Afghanistan is "an international security challenge of the highest order....The safety of people around the world is at stake."

It's worth asking once again: where's the part about all the other countries actually fighting alongside us...because now the World has warm and fuzzy feelings about us...us and our brave new leader? Hellooooooo. Is anyone other than the Brits coming to fight? We will disrupt, dismantle, and defeat the agitators of the Afghan people, as well as the entire free world - but the whole messy thing isn't a war, and the Taliban and al-Qaeda are not an "enemy." White House Summons Bob Basso: Thomas Paine Summoned to White House?

I assume the report that actor Bob Basso, who portrays Thomas Paine so brilliantly, really has been "summoned" to the White House. What I'm not so clear about is the report that he was "summoned" there, as WND daily says: "to discuss the disturbing nature of the videos." They are awaiting confirmation of the meeting, so stay tuned. If you haven't seen this "disturbing" video, you can view it below. If this report is true, and the ominous "summons" puts Bob Basso in a bullseye for censorship, then we'd better move those tea parties up to, well, maybe tomorrow. You know, it would take a lot for me to believe that the White House might want to "discourage" (strong-arm) an amazing work like this one - but, today, I realize that this is the Barack Obama administration and our freedom of free speech is in peril. EXPOSE! A.C.O.R.N. BEHIND PROTESTS AT AIG HOMES - Under S.E.I.U. RENT-A-MOB CONTRACT

A Glenn Beck interview with an election attorney has exposed the fact that the SEIU (Service Employees INTERNATIONAL

Union) contracted the angry mob which intimidated AIG employees at their own homes this past week. According to this report,

the "Muscle for Money" program, revealed by a former A.C.O.R.N.employee at hearings held last October, involves formal

work contracts between the SEIU & A.C.O.R.N. in which poor persons are paid to make targeted, aggressive protests.

These "protests" are then covered by the MainStreamMedia with the appearance of spontaneous events led by "everyday

citizens."

Beck followed up on the mobs which terrorized AIG executives homes when he noticed the protesters were arriving in

organized buses, which were rented by A.C.O.R.N. Referencing A.C.O.R.N.'s shady history, the reporter referred back

to A.C.O.R.N.'s arrangements of voting booths in Nevada casinos as their instrument for assuring Obama's "win"

of last year's Primary caucus in the state. A.C.O.R.N is also being investigated on criminal vote fraud complaints

in several other states for related misconduct.

The "bus tour" attack on AIG families was, specifically, arranged by Connetticcut's (sp) Working Families Party

as one of A.C.O.R.N. & S.E.I.U.'s many public faces. Cleta Mitchell, an attorney who has followed the underlying

connections of these groups explained that the S.E.I.U. has spent tens of millions of dollars on all kinds of

organizations over the last five years. Federally funded in part, and also supported by George Soros, one of

A.C.O.R.N.'s multifold "campaigns" for change includes the legalization of drugs in the U.S.

As Beck noted, former A.C.O.R.N. employees repulsed by the organization's methods and associations have

contributed to exposing their tactics but avoid public statements. One such witness invited on air declined,

expressing fear for her two year old daughter's safety.

attention on waves of AIG protests has been used to fuel public enmity toward corporations in order to

U.N. Official Steals: Afghan Women Reporting from Kabul

The United Nations has all manner of crooks inside it's 40-story, blue-tinted glass walls, and not surprisingly, some are Americans.

An American, ex-U.N. official, is accused of stealing from funds allocated for Afghanistan's roads, schools and clinics. The former U.N. official, Gary K Helseth, diverted "hundreds of thousands of dollars from the "Development Funds" into his own bank account - or as Hot Air says, "into his favorite charity - himself."

Helseth is charged with stealing $65,000 in cash from a U.N. safe.

The task force said Helseth instructed a subordinate to take $65,000 in cash for him from a U.N. safe and fabricated a bogus lease indicating the money was paid to the property's landlord.

Helseth said the money was reimbursement for a personal investment in the home renovation, which he said benefited the United Nations.

He allegedly paid rent, paid for home renovations, opulent parties at his Kabul home "where guests dined on Beluga caviar, Norwegian salmon and foie gras." There was $7,500 for Ethopian furniture, $10,000 for silk Afghan carpets and $2,200 for floral arrangements." He funneled $20,000 FROM a U.S. program to build women's dormitories at the Kabul University - INTO renovating his Kabul home. The expense for sports equipment? $66,000, and there was $30,000 for a new Lexus. Mr. Helseth apparently did some good things with the monies at his disposal, but...

...the operation was plagued by "record keeping [that] did not comply with even the most basic standards of international financial accounting," the task force said. By 2005, Helseth's office was distributing more than $1 million a day in cash,,,

A 180-page report suggests that the U.N. refer the case to U.S. and Afghan authorities for criminal prosecution. The reports says that Helseth should repay approximately $480,000. Read more in a report from Kabul published in RAWA, a publication of The Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan. On the RAWA 'About Us' page, I found the following statement:

The US "War on terrorism" removed the Taliban regime in October 2001, but it has not removed religious fundamentalism which is the main cause of all our miseries. In fact, by reinstalling the warlords in power in Afghanistan, the US administration is replacing one fundamentalist regime with another. The US government and Mr.Karzai mostly rely on Northern Alliance criminal leaders who are as brutal and misogynist as the Taliban.

RAWA believes that freedom and democracy can’t be donated; it is the duty of the people of a country to fight and achieve these values. Under the US-supported government, the sworn enemies of human rights, democracy and secularism have gripped their claws over our country and attempt to restore their religious fascism on our people.

Whenever fundamentalists exist as a military and political force in our injured land, the problem of Afghanistan will not be solved. Today RAWA's mission for women's rights is far from over and we have to work hard for establishment of an independent, free, democratic and secular Afghanistan. We need the solidarity and support of all people around the world.

Today, President Barack Obama announced his new plan for Afghanistan, the Taliban and Al-Qaeda. RAWA recently reported on how the Taliban Grabs Share of Reconstruction Aid. Here's a snippet:

Mirahmad has a very important job to do: he is the mirab, or water regulator, in his native Pushtrod district of Farah province. It is Mirahmad who ensures that the villages under his control receive adequate water for their fields.

When the state-sponsored National Solidarity Programme, NSP, gave Pushtrod 200,000 afghani (40,000 US dollars) to clean out the Nawbahar canal irrigation canal, he was overjoyed.

“But then the Taliban asked for 40 per cent of the money,” he told IWPR. “Otherwise they were not going to let us do the work. So we had to buy them a four-by-four.”

While the Taliban drive around in their new vehicle, Mirahmad is trying desperately to stretch the remaining funds to complete the project.

Prevention is the best protection against have one's money stolen. I would like to see the "overseers" (the management) over how the money to be spent, brought to court also. Next in importance after "prevention" being the best policy" comes the law of "if you do the crime you will do the time." Harsh court policies for thieves work if they are just applied.

UNRWA, where is the money going?

by Anav Silverman In recent years, billions of dollars have poured into Gaza from hundreds of countries and international organizations. How much of that money has actually reached Palestinian civilians, effectively improving their quality of life and economy, has yet to be completely determined thanks to vague audits and on-line information. Only recently, with a relatively silent international press, have there been questions from top political leaders, primarily from US, about the way in which the donor money will be transferred into Gaza. At an Egyptian donor’s conference organized by Norway and Egypt in early March, more than 75 international donors and organizations met to announce their financial support of the reconstruction in Gaza. Over $5.2 billion were pledged at the conference, surprising the Palestinian Authority who originally called for $2.8 billion needed to build-up Gaza. In light of the US pledge of $900 million, the second largest following Saudi Arabia‘s $1 billion at the conference, US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton stated that no US funds earmarked for Gaza would end up in the “wrong hands.” By wrong hands, Clinton meant Hamas, the militant Islamist Palestinian party in complete control of the Gaza Strip. Over $300 million dollars of the US pledge money will be going to Gaza reconstruction, while the rest of the $600 million has been earmarked to Palestinian Authority‘s Mahmoud Abbas. However, there is another set of “wrong hands” in this scenario through which the transfer of funds may very well pass through, hands that are not considered a neutral player in the Arab-Israeli conflict. US State department spokesman, Gordon Duguid stated that Gaza support would be provided through USAID, in coordination with UN agencies that will most likely include UNRWA. UNRWA, the United Nations Relief Works Agency, established in 1949 to aid Palestinian refugees, has shown dangerous partiality to Hamas terrorists. In 2004, former UNRWA commissioner-General Peter Hansen revealed to the Canadian Broadcasting Company that UNRWA may very well employ Hamas members. “I am sure that there are Hamas members on the UNRWA payroll and I don’t see that as crime,” Hansen infamously stated. He further added, that “We do not do political vetting and exclude people from one persuasion as against another.” UNRWA has employed several high profile terrorists which include top Islamic Jihad rocket maker, Awad Al-Qiq who was killed in an Israeli air strike last May 2008. Al-Qiq was the headmaster and science instructor at an UNRWA school in Rafah, Gaza. Another terrorist, Hamas’s interior minister and head of the Executive Force, Said Siyam, was a teacher for over two decades in UNRWA schools. Fox News recently reported that UNRWA does not ask its employees whether they are members of, or affiliated with, a terrorist organization such as Hamas or Islamic Jihad. UNRWA also offers no formal screening to ensure that its employees are not affiliated with terrorist organizations. During Operation Cast Lead, UNRWA officials accused Israel of firing into an UNRWA school, killing dozens of Palestinian civilians seeking refuge. Israel maintained that Palestinian rocket launchers locate next to the school had fired mortars on IDF soldiers, which prompted the army's response. Later, UN official Maxwell Gaylord, reversed the UN’s stance stating that the shelling and fatalities had actually taken place outside of the school. But the media damage to Israel had already been done.

Over 180 Palestinian rockets strike Israel since ceasefire

by Anav Silverman Over 180 Palestinian rockets have been fired at Israel since the unilateral ceasefire began on January 18, according to the IDF Spokeperson's Unit. The latest Qassam rocket attack targeted Ashkelon on Tuesday, March 24 after a 10 day lull. A Qassam rocket fired from the Gaza Strip hit the Ashkelon are on Tuesday afternoon. No injuries or damage were reported. Between March 17-24, three Palestinian mortar shells were fired at IDF forces operating along the border security fence. Hamas's Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades claimed responsibility for the mortar shells fired on March 22. The last rocket attacks on Israel took place a week ago, on March 14, when Palestinian rockets slammed into the western Negev. The last rocket attack on Sderot took place on March 5, when a Qassam slammed into an open area in Sderot. Although Hamas recently condemned the Qassam rocket fire from the Gaza Strip, the rocket attacks have continued throughout March. Hamas stated that although it has fired thousands of rockets in the past, its military wing was not behind recent attacks. The militant Islamic group in control of Gaza also stated that it was actively investigating who was responsible for the rocket fire. On the day on which Israeli PM Ehud Olmert declared the ceasefire effective, January 18, Palestinian terror networks fired a total of 19 rockets at Israeli civilians in the south. Three of the rockets were fired after Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other Palestinian networks declared a truce on the afternoon of January 18. A week into the ceasefire, one IDF soldier was killed and three wounded in a roadside bombing on January 27. Qassams, mortar shells, and Grad rockets have continued slam into Israel sporadically since the truce, with Sderot and western Negev residents entering bomb shelters between one to two times a week. On February 1, the first grad-Katyusha was fired at Israel since Operation Cast Lead, following two more Grad rockets fired at southern Israel on February 13 and February 21 respectively. On February 28, nine rockets including two newly advanced Grad-type rockets slammed into Ashkelon. In what was the worst attack since the ceasefire, a Grad rocket slammed into an Ashkelon school, causing heavy damages. The Grad rocket tore through the school, after the air raid siren sounded in the morning, with shrapnel destroying several classrooms. Seven people living nearby the school suffered from stress-related trauma. The Ashkelon municipality was forced to shut down the school for sometime until repairs could be made. For the people of Southern Israel, there is no cease-fire, no truce. Yet the liberals moonbats cry that Israel must honor the cease-fire, the truce. Why aren't they screaming for Hamas to do the same?

Attacking Sderot at DePaul University

by Jacob Shrybman One week ago I shared the human side of the conflict in southern Israel and told my personal stories from Sderot in a presentation at Depaul University in Chicago sponsored by StandWithUs, Hillel, and the university’s Political Science department. As a representative of Sderot Media Center, I traveled from Israel to explain the daily reality of rocket fire that has been plaguing the country for the past eight years. Still one week after I told personal stories of having 15 seconds to run for my life, because of the overshadowing anti-Semitic harassment and disruption caused by pro-Hamas student and non-student organizations my message of understanding and empathy for the people of southern Israel has not yet permeated peoples’ minds.

I wasn’t 30 hours off the plane from Israel before I was greeted with more direct anti-Semitism than qassam rockets fired at Sderot. Several anti-Israel posters draped the entrance to the building in which I was to tell my personal stories. I began my presentation with a small audience of around 20 people and as my presentation went on the room began filling with people not merely against Israel’s political policies and action but people in clear support of the terrorist organization Hamas. When I welcomed the custom of a question and answer period following my presentation the very right of free speech that I welcomed to the audience of now over 100 people was thrown in my face and denied to me. To start the question and answer period, an audience member verbally attacked me, stated his support for the firing of rockets into Israel, and ended his anti-Semitic rhetoric filled rant with a question irrelevant to anything in my presentation. I then pointed out to the audience the same fact I want to point out in this article, that this person was not simply criticizing Israel but was clearly expressing his support for the terrorist organization Hamas. Before I could finish answering the question that was underneath all the threatening hate filled propaganda in this audience member’s statement I was interrupted and silenced by the overwhelming Hamas supporters. Next another audience member rose up in the front of the room and screamed out calling me a “dirty whore” in Arabic and proceeded to grab his crotch and scream “Here’s your qassam!” in Arabic. I am not surprised at the reaction from DePaul University. It is an established fact that the majority of US Collages and Universities openly support anti-Semitism and this rhetoric. In fact a student who is Jewish will get lower grades by the majority of their professors if it is brought to the professor' s attention that the student is a Jew. It is chic to be an anti-Semite now on 99% of the campuses today. Documentation of this has become a goal of Gary Fouse of Fousequawk. I ask you, my reader to remember the people of Sderot and Southern Israel in your prayers. I am going to ask you to consider carefully what school you are planning to attend (or your child) and whether that school allows hate speech such as is seen in the video above and others that can be found on the internet. Do you want your child indoctrinated into Nazi rhetoric? Do you want your hard earned dollars supporting Nazi ideology disguised as sympathy for Palastinians? If you are an allumni of such a school and a supporter of Israel, why are you sending the school money to continue these activities? Rep. Souder Card Check: Democrats Urged Mexico to Respect the Secret Ballot

I was visiting blog@MoreWhat and reading a piece by George Will titled The Toxic Assets We Elected. It's a great piece. From there, I found a comment by Rep. Mark Souder (R-IN). See a video below. In his address on the House floor, Souder says:

Madam Chairman, well, renaming things does not change the acts."

No kidding! He is talking about Card Check legislation, formally know as "The Employee Free Choice Act." Card Check is a Democrat scheme to produce a law that deprives union members of a secret ballot when voting on union matters - in other words, this bill will eliminate private ballots. Think about it. Take away a employee's secret ballot - call it "The Employee Free Choice Act." Yes, Rep. Souder, renaming things does not change the acts.

My first observation: Daniel Hannan is not speaking with a teleprompter in the video below. This man stood in Parliament with Prime Minister Brown sitting at table in front of him, and explained with great specificity why Brown is now the devalued Prime Minister of a devalued Government.

Prime Minister, I see you’ve already mastered the essential craft of the European politician, namely the ability to say one thing in this chamber and a very different thing to your home electorate. You’ve spoken here about free trade, and amen to that. Who would have guessed, listening to you just now, that you were the author of the phrase ‘British jobs for British workers’ and that you have subsidised, where you have not nationalised outright, swathes of our economy, including the car industry and many of the banks?

Perhaps you would have more moral authority in this house if your actions matched your words? Perhaps you would have more legitimacy in the councils of the world if the United Kingdom were not going into this recession in the worst condition of any G20 country?

 The truth, Prime Minister, is that you have run out of our money. The country as a whole is now in negative equity. Every British child is born owing around £20,000. Servicing the interest on that debt is going to cost more than educating the child.

Now, once again today you try to spread the blame around; you spoke about an international recession, international crisis. Well, it is true that we are all sailing together into the squalls. But not every vessel in the convoy is in the same dilapidated condition. Other ships used the good years to caulk their hulls and clear their rigging; in other words – to pay off debt.

But you used the good years to raise borrowing yet further. As a consequence, under your captaincy, our hull is pressed deep into the water line under the accumulated weight of your debt We are now running a deficit that touches 10% of GDP, an almost unbelievable figure. More than Pakistan, more than Hungary; countries where the IMF have already been called in.

Now, it’s not that you’re not apologising; like everyone else I have long accepted that you’re pathologically incapable of accepting responsibility for these things. It’s that you’re carrying on, wilfully worsening our situation, wantonly spending what little we have left.

Last year - in the last twelve months – a hundred thousand private sector jobs have been lost and yet you created thirty thousand public sector jobs. Prime Minister, you cannot carry on for ever squeezing the productive bit of the economy in order to fund an unprecedented engorgement of the unproductive bit. You cannot spend your way out of recession or borrow your way out of debt. And when you repeat, in that wooden and perfunctory way, that our situation is better than others, that we’re ‘well-placed to weather the storm’, I have to tell you that you sound like a Brezhnev-era apparatchik giving the party line.

You know, and we know, and you know that we know that it’s nonsense! Everyone knows that Britain is worse off than any other country as we go into these hard times. The IMF has said so; the European Commission has said so; the markets have said so – which is why our currency has devalued by thirty percent. And soon the voters too will get their chance to say so. They can see what the markets have already seen: that you are the devalued Prime Minister of a devalued government.

Luton, England: Anti-Al Qaeda Protest: March 28th, 2009

The Pentagon, under the direction of Barack Obama, has banned the use of "The Global War on Terror." But we all know where the terror is, and it is global, and all of it is perpetrated by Islam. Our friends in England are fighting a battle that is being denied by those in the media and Parliament. Brits are running scared. They are afraid to speak out or show-up...with some brave exceptions. Here's a message for Lionheart: The threat to the life of the nation has never been greater since the Second World War, and it is happening now in our generation. The militant wing of the Islamic religion is hell bent on causing mass murder and mayhem against the British people as they seek to force us to bend and bow in submission to their religious ideology – This cannot be doubted! 7/7, the Glasgow airport car bombing, the ‘Tiger Tiger’ nightclub failed car bombing and all other thwarted attempts are proof enough of their intent towards us. It might only be a small minority who carry out these acts, but that does not mean that they are not supported by the vast majority (a debatable issue). The Home Secretary has now stated, after being given a new report on tackling Islamic extremism in Britain, that there is an increased threat of a dirty bomb attack being carried out against us. The threat is not new, so as the report states regarding the proliferation of nuclear, biological and chemical substances, it is only a matter of time until there is a successful terrorist attack that outweighs in gravity the attacks that have already been perpetrated against us by Al Qaeda. It’s not ‘if’. It is ‘when’, ‘where’, and ‘how big’? The Home Secretary has said that it is the responsibility of not just the Government to tackle the threat now posed to our national security, but also that of the wider community. Quote: She cited the example of the Muslim activists who recently protested at a homecoming parade in Luton for British forces returning from Iraq. She said: "The civil challenge means that, if people feel it appropriate to demonstrate against our troops coming home from defending this country abroad, we - as Government and others - will say in turn that we think that that's wrong. "Not that they've broken the law - one of the things we're defending in this country is the right to free speech, but that isn't free speech that will go unhindered or unchallenged by either Government or, I think, the broader community." The organiser of the official event pulled out of leading this through fear of controversy, and has rearranged for London in April. We the people, are so incensed at what took place on March 10th that we will be meeting in Luton on Saturday with or without Luton Council’s permission. That is just the common consensus amongst the people. If we the people cannot stand up to this abhorrent behaviour by this civil enemy, then who is going to? As the Home Secretary has said: “but that isn't free speech that will go unhindered or unchallenged by either Government or, I think, the broader community." The broader community will be meeting in Luton on Saturday March 28th at 12.25 to demonstrate and challenge those extremists living in our country. Each and every person working within the mainstream media have a responsibility to your country too. Are we not all in this together? What if it is you or one of your relatives caught up in a mass ‘dirty bomb’ attack in London at some point in the future? We the people need your help to tell the country that we will be meeting in Luton on Saturday. The BBC and ITV give Anjem Choudry, the Osama Bin Laden of British militant Islam a platform to promote his vile ideology, yet they refuse to help those seeking to challenge that. Isn’t it about time, for the sake of the future life of the nation, that those in power start to help the common people with their aims and objectives? Now is that time, and it concerns Luton, which has been the scene of so much Al Qaeda terrorist activity, including Al Qaeda’s deceleration of war against us on the morning of 7/7. We can do what we do through the internet, and arouse the few, but with mainstream media coverage we can arouse the many from amongst the broader community to come out in support. Overseas Contingency Operation: The Voice of Evil and Deception

The Pentagon has issued a new directive at the behest of Barack Obama: No more use of "Long War" or "Global War on Terror." The newest deception is "Overseas Contingency Operation." Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi abolished the term "War on Terror" from use in the U.S. House of Representatives last year, and as a result, there are no more allocations in the budget for the Global War on Terror. Perhaps the War on Terror has been trashed and forgotten by our Representatives and Senators, but not from the hearts and minds of the people. Then, new Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said the government will refer to "terror" as "man man disasters." "Normal" people were flabbergasted and enraged. Now the Pentagon has issued a new directive - in writing - and it seems, a new warning. The Global War on Terror is officially the Overseas Contingency Operations. Obama does not want anyone to bring the War on Terror to his sanctified government facilities. What happens to these? Will they be cast upon the growing trash heap of Obama obscenities? What happens when a soldier proudly visits the Capital or the White House, in uniform complete with medals? What happens if they must testify about anything, dressed in uniform. As a soldier, wouldn't it be thrilling to wear a brass Overseas Contingency Operations Expedition medal? These medals are awarded to members of the military: The left is The Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and on the right is the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. The expeditionary medal:

The chief of staff of the Air Force authorizes the wearing of the GWOT-S for those individuals who either directly or indirectly supported the designated operations. Individuals must have participated in or served in support of the Global War on Terrorism-specified operations on or after Sept. 11, 2001 to a future date to be determined... Service members must be assigned, attached or mobilized to a unit participating in or serving in support of designated operations for 30 consecutive days or 60 nonconsecutive days there is no time limit required for nonconsecutive days to be accumulated or meet one of the following criteria: Be engaged in actual combat against the enemy and under circumstances involving grave danger of death or serious bodily injury from enemy action; 2) While participating in the specified operation, regardless of time, is killed, wounded or injured requiring medical evacuation.

The Service Medal:

Service members must be assigned, attached or mobilized to a unit participating in or serving in support of designated operations for 30 consecutive days or 60 nonconsecutive days, or meet one of the following criteria: Be engaged in actual combat against the enemy and under circumstances involving grave danger of death or serious bodily injury from enemy action, regardless of time in the area of eligibility. While participating in the designated operation, regardless of time, be killed, wounded or injured requiring medical evacuation from the area of eligibility.

We won't need medals, anyway, so why fret. We have no enemies. There are no "enemy combatants." They have been banned also. Attorney General Eric Holder said this move will allow us to operate in a manner that strengthens our national security. I don't know how Secretary of Defense Gates can continue-on in the Obama administration.

Credit Crunch or Business Expansion Loans Not Needed?

The New York Times has an interesting piece on businesses that cannot get a loan due to the "credit squeeze" on Main Street vs. not needing a loan because no expansion of their business is needed. David Leonhardt says the lack of need for business inventory is the problem and that few needing a business loan have been turned down - but rather, businesses do not need a loan. Leonhardt points out that "No large company has failed to meet its weekly payroll, as Obama warned last year might happen." His local Toyota dealership has no problems securing loans:

Leonhardt examines "just how the financial crisis is - and is not - affecting Main Street:

There is no doubt that the economy is in terrible shape. The overall volume of loans is, in fact, falling. But is that because banks won’t lend? Or because businesses and families don’t want to borrow?

Just one more example of Obama et al creating a false perception of the economy.

Chicagoans Vandalize Parking Meters (Video)

If you lived in Chicago, and you may, your quality of life may have been significantly diminished if you must plug parking meters to get where you want to go. Chicagoans have been vandalizing parking meters in some parts of the city.

As parking meters were being updated throughout Chicago to handle exorbitantly high fees, vandalized meters were found - everywhere. Chicagoans are mad, and creative. How are the meters being vandalized? Here are a few comments from TheExpiredMeter.com:

An entire block of parking meters, numbering nearly 20, were spotted along west Irving Park in the Albany Park neighborhood, that had both the front and back of their heads spray painted black. Once spray painted, these meters are unreadable by Parking Enforcement Aides and therefore, vehicles can’t be ticketed as it’s impossible to see if the meters were fed or not. One individual calling his or her self “Illinois Patriot,” is calling for direct vandalism attacks to disable parking meters.

“WE, the people, need to start fighting back! Here are some ideas to fight back:,” states Illinois Patriot in a communique to The Expired Meter. “A good shot of expanding foam should feed the meter’s coin slot nicely. Don’t get caught… Epoxy putties and VHB sided foam tapes show additional promise for field expedient mayhem and merriment.”

One local blogger has championed feeding meters with pennies and nickels instead of quarters. While the other change does not register, once the meter’s coin reservoirs are filled, the meter will read FAIL and is inoperable, cannot be fed and is essentially a free parking spot.

LAZ is a Chicago company which collects the money for the New York owner which paid the city $1.2 billion to lease the city's 36,000 meters for 75 years. They've pasted new stickers on them, doubled the rates to as much as a quarter for five minutes in the Loop. That's $3 an hour to $2 an hour in many other neighborhoods. People are angry.

All over the city, we saw stretches of meters empty in places where people had been fighting for spots. Having to put in 12 quarters an hour was either too inconvenient or too expensive.

A parking meter revolt is underway. The people's revolt - their own new stimulus - is a way to put quarters back into their own pocket.

Notre Dame: Obama Commencement Speech - Bishop Boycotts

President Barack Obama is scheduled to deliver the commencement speech for the University of Notre Dame's 2009 graduation class. Notre Dame has not only invited President Obama to speak at the ceremony, they will bestow upon him an honorary doctor of laws degree. Bishop John D'Arcy, whose Diocese includes the University of Notre Dame, says he will boycott the ceremony.

Bishop D'Arcy is known for his efforts to protect parishioners from abusive priests. He had very harsh words for the University's choice of speakers. Speaking of Obama's decision to federally fund embryonic stem cell research, D'Arcy said the President:

...has now placed in public policy ... his long-stated unwillingness to hold human life sacred. While claiming to separate politics from science, he has in fact separated science from ethics and has brought the American government, for the first time in history, into supporting direct destruction of innocent human life... A White House spokesperson replied, saying that the President welcomes the "spirit of debate and healthy disagreement on important issues.

National Review Online gathered comments from educational experts and Catholicism. George Weigel, an American Catholic author, founder of The James Madison Foundation and a Distinguished Senior Fellow of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, was especially poignant:

Notre Dame’s decision to make President Obama its 2009 commencement speaker is a very bad thing. It’s bad for Notre Dame, bad for Catholic moral witness in America, and bad for the bishops who are trying to mount a defense against the Obama administration’s assault on the conscience rights of Catholic health-care professionals. The invitation to deliver a commencement address, especially when coupled with the award of an honorary degree, is not a neutral act. It’s an act by which a Catholic institution of higher learning says, “This is a life worth emulating according to our understanding of the true, the good, and the beautiful.” It is frankly beyond my imagining how Notre Dame can say that of a president who has put the United States back into the business of funding abortion abroad; a president who made a mockery of the very idea of moral argument in his speech announcing federal funding for embryo-destructive stem cell research; a president whose administration and its congressional allies are snatching tuition vouchers out of the hands of desperately poor Washington, D.C., children who just as desperately want to attend Catholic schools.

The Cardinal Newman Society has sponsored an online petition to encourage the University to rescind the invitation. The petition has 115,123 signers. Over 11,000 have signed since I first viewed the petition last evening. You can sign the petition at NotreDameScandal.com. It is interesting to note that the Catholic vote for Obama was the largest faith vote among the "religions," with 54 percent of Catholics voting for Obama. The accompanying article with the chart below from The Pew Forum says that "Obama performed particularly well among Latino Catholics," - 67 percent voted for Obama. The President's views on the sanctity of life were widely known during the campaign. As an Illinois state senator, Obama voted to kill a bill that would prevent killing a baby born alive. Nurse Jill Stanek was all over television and radio testifying to what Obama's views on infanticide really meant, and her personal experience with the issue. Really, it cannot get worse than that - but he won anyway. During the campaign, he told us that he would immediately recind a Bush executive order preventing taxpayer money being used overseas for funding abortions - and if you didn't believe him then, it was one of his first acts as President. ACORN Whistleblowers: ACORN Pays Poor People to Protest and Worse

A former Washington, D.C. ACORN employee, Anita MonCrief, testified last Fall that the community organizers, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now's (ACORN), "unofficial" program "Muscle for the Money" was funded by Corporations, and hired poor people to "intimidate people and protest."

It gets ugly when Ms. MonCrief is mentioned. After that testimony in Pennsylvania, ACORN called her a liar and thief.

ACORN's Mr. Whelan said Ms. Moncrief was never a part of the organization's management and was fired for stealing. Nothing she says has any credibility, he said.

Anita MonCrief's boss at ACORN agreed to testify also, and showed up at the hearing, but...after MonCrief's witness, stating that her supervisor, Karyn Gillette, was contacted by the Obama campaign, Gillette disappeared from the court room. MonCrief's attorney, Heather Heidelbaugh, said Gillette was no where to be found.

She wasn’t put up on the stand. Why? Because I would have asked her and she would have been under oath and she would have had to answer.

This week another hearing was held in Washington, D.C. Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) chaired the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties subcommittee hearing titled "Lessons Learned from the 2008 Election." Heidelbaugh was present and testified. Anita MonCrief and other whistleblowers attended the hearing as guests and did not testify. Connie Hair, writing for HumanEvents.com, said she interviewed MonCrief at the hearing. According to Hair, Ms. MonCrief said the following:

ACORN itself is sometimes paid by foundations per registration and, in some case,s they would send copies of the voter registration cards straight to the funder....Workers are improperly trained. … They are trained to never ask, ‘Are you registered to vote?’ because if the person says ‘Yes,’ they have to move on. They ask, ‘Did you vote in the last election,’ and if the person says ‘No,’ they register them again. This is how they duplicate registrations and flood the offices.

Hair said the most controversial testimony of the day was that "whistleblower testimony" revealed a "scheme by which ACORN and Project vote are paid by foundations per voter registered and the submission of copies of actual voter registration cards to the foundations, which is a violation of federal law."

Testimony also revealed ACORN’s unofficial “Muscle for the Money” program directed at fundraising from corporations. Allegations were made of payments from Service Employees International Union (SEIU) to ACORN's D.C office to harass The Carlyle Group and specifically David Rubenstein, a founder of the company. Even though ACORN D.C. had no interest in The Carlyle Group, they were allegedly paid by SEIU to go break up a banquet and protest at Rubenstein’s house.

At some point in the subcommittee hearing, Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), Chairman of the House Committee on the Judiciary, appeared without notice. Conyers said he had been unaware of the hearing on ACORN. Conyers called the "accusations made against ACORN" a serious matter. He called for someone from ACORN to come forth and offer a defense against the charges. No one came forward. Conyers asked subcommittee chairman Nadler to hold another hearing on ACORN so that ACORN could be present. According to HumanEvents.com Nadler appeared shocked and said he would take the suggestion "under advisement." Rep. Conyers didn't let the matter drop.

I think that it would be something that would be worth our time. We've never had one person representing ACORN before the committee. ... I think in all fairness we ought to really examine it.

Nadler reportedly replied that he would call another hearing when he had "credible allegations of misconduct." Apparently, he heard none that day, despite Rep. Conyers' concerns. Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) sits on the subcommittee also and said the following to Ms. Hair:

If we know that an organization is guilty of fraud, and we provide them the money and the wherewithal to continue the fraud, then we are accessories to fraud. The only difference between us and a criminal is that we have the ability to pass laws that say even though we’re criminals we’re doing our criminal work legally. It doesn’t make it moral, it doesn’t make it ethical, it just makes it legal to say we can be accessories to fraud by providing the money.

Reaction to Obama Gaffes Miss the Larger Point

If you did not watch the Tonight Show or 60 Minutes when President Obama was interviewed you may also have missed some of the commentary around the internet and various news outlets indicating both venues were not without problems further suggesting puzzling choices by the White House.

Mary Kate Cary at US News and World Report is of the opinion that the 60 Minutes interview was a good choice because Steve Kroft is not a professional comedian and no gaffes were present by her observation plus it was done at the White House causing Obama to look Presidential.

Other reports and commentary feature criticism of Obama’s special olympics gaffe on Leno and describe what Kroft said about his laughing on 60 Minutes as being punchdrunk. You would not have to look far to find more reports or reactions to President Obama as responding in puzzling ways to other serious events. And news in general has started showing a lack of confidence in President Obama and his team.

If anybody was wondering why Barack Obama chose 60 Minutes as the one news outlet for an interview on his buy-my-economic-proposals-please TV tour, they got their answer Sunday night: Beyond the 16 million viewers who tune in each week, correspondent Steve Kroft played it safe and soft with the President, much as he had done during the election last year.

The NYT fish wrap points out the 60 Minutes Obama interview drew 16 million viewers and Entertainment Weekly indicates that won the Sunday ratings. In this day of tivo’d or recorded or video on demand everything one could safely watch the NCAA basketball tournament confident anything newsworthy from the interview would be available later.

The conclusion to draw is the Obama crew has done nothing to make their agenda or plans more palatable. Take for instance the taxpayer partnership with private investors for ‘toxic asset’ purchases promoted by Obama.

At least one member of Congress was heard reacting to the same nonsense to be noted here. The taxpayer will invest about 93% while the private sector will invest 7% and the profit or loss will be shared equally? How is that a good deal for anyone but the 7% investor?

You and a friend or family member find a great investment. The friend or relative proposes you invest $9300 of the ten thousand venture while he invests $700 and you will share the profit. If the investment went up 20% and you sold it you would get $1000 return on your $9300 (a 10.75% ROI) while your friend or relative would get the same $1000 and experience a whopping 242%+ ROI. Are you dumb enough to take that lopsided risk?

Obviously if your investment is a total failure your loss is nearly ten grand while your partner loses less than a thousand.

This is probably the most telling example of how stupid things are in Washington. If this is the carrot you have to dangle for private investment in toxic assets then what is so bad about the common fix of Chapter 11?

So the special olympics gaffe or ‘punchdrunk’ gaffe of Mr Obama pale in comparison to the ridiculous game plan his brain trust floated for buying toxic assets of failed US ripoffs.

I urge the public to continue to reject proposals offered thus far to supposedly solve economic problems. If those who continue to participate in the irrational love fest for the new President with no evidence to support that position the only thing we can look forward to is not holding the rest of Washington accountable. Just the fact that few are aware or upset about the current 3.6 TRILLION dollar budget and numerous other TRILLION dollar proposals or current liabilities facing public funding for this great nation is enough to forecast a continued downturn. One thing that Kroft asked Obama that was presented on Blog @ MoreWhat.com long ago is this. Mr President, is there a limit to what we can spend? Obama’s answer was essentially we can spend until we can no longer find money to borrow. Isn’t that part of what got us in this mess to begin with?

And some may wonder why I have no confidence in the federal government including OMG, the leader of the free world, President Barack Obama. Ya, I again left out his middle name as it only seems to p–s people off even though PBHO chose to use it at his inauguration. Just one more little tidbit that makes little sense.

Taking the Law to the Lawless

Seeing that the anti-Americanists have managed to subvert the judiciary in this nation to the extent that more unconstitutional laws have been passed than constitutional ones, I was wondering if we could use the courts to reverse that trend. One never knows.

So, I went to my attorney that I have used for years for many things and made an appointment for one of those 30-minute free consultations. I presented my idea/desire to my attorney and that 30-minute free consultation lasted more than two hours.

At issue was the viability of a lawsuit against congress for violating the constitution.

I was asked what I would settle for, how much money I was looking for, what kind of damages was I wanting to be compensated for, etc.

I told them that I was not seeking damages in a monetary settlement. I was demanding that either the United States federal government either return to our Constitutional Republic or make the changes they wanted to make by constitutional amendments instead of passing federal laws which made the path clear for legislating around the constitution.

Like I said, over two hours later, I witnessed six lawyers getting on board with the idea. I have no idea where this is going to go but I guess that as long as I pay their fees, they will take this as far as they are able.

What I am looking for is this: 30,000,000 Americans making appointments with their attorneys via the 30-minute free consultations to begin making waves through the legal system. Can you imagine what noise that would make if all of a sudden, our unconstitutional congress critters were getting hit with law suit after law suit demanding they perform their constitutional duties?

There are some Senators as well but I haven’t compiled that list yet.

Remember, if you go with this idea, go to your attorneys as if you are the one making this inquiry and don’t tell them others are doing this as well. Let them talk amongst themselves and let them “discover” the Tsunami rising. Also, go armed. If you don’t know the violations against the constitution, you won’t go anywhere with this. I was able to show them the blatant and outright fraudulent behavior of the current and past sessions of congress.

We read the constitution and tried to reconcile the “will of the congress will be done” and the “will of the congress has been heard” and the “the Senate will have final say over states rights” and the “federal statutes trump states rights” garbage. I also brought to their attention where several judges told American citizens that they had no standing in questioning anything the government does. I lit a fire under four of them. Two remain skeptical. But that’s OK.

The man that owns the firm has called me twice since I was there and I may have an appointment with other attorneys from partnered firms. It was even suggested that this could very well turn into a national class-action suit. We’ll see.

So, please make your appointments and go for broke. What do we have to lose? The more important question is this…what do we have to gain?  Our country?  Our Heritage?
