WorldNetDaily's Joseph Farah
This year, in anticipation of the event, which will take place on May 1, 2010, WND tendered $6,750 USD for three tables. However, the WHCA cashed only one of the checks, number 13662, for one table...The amount of the check is $2,250.00 USD. Accordingly, WHCA accepted WND's offer to buy at least one table for the event."Remember when the White House tried to bar Major Garrett, a Fox News reporter from a press pool event? Members of the MSM came to the rescue and said if Fox was not admitted, they would not cover the event. I don't see ABC, NBC or CBS coming to the defense of WorldNetDaily, which says its online readership has reached 8 million.
Joseph Farah, founder and CEO of WND, says the White House Correspondents dinner is not just a social event. "It is a news event," and he accuses the White House press corps of playing the role of "palace" guards.
We're one of the fastest growing news organizations in the country, while most of our competitors are shrinking. Yet, many of them are getting up six, seven, eight tables. We'll see what happens with this lawsuit. The best way for the MSM to thwart WND is to keep the lawsuit lingering past May 1st.
