It is essential to realize that politics are no longer "local." Sending Renee to the The People's House is important regardless of where you live. Every Democrat vote across the country affects you in Des Moines, your sister in Dallas or my family in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We must fund these constitutional conservatives, most of whom are not well-known.
Renee has a new video interview on William Jacobson's blog, Le-gal In-sur-rec-tion, as well as his own thoughts on the importance of this race, and the importance of turning the House Republican. The following is from one of my posts, as an introduction to Renee, then jog on over to Le-gal In-sur-rec-tion for the new video and Jacobson's commentary.
Renee is a constitutional conservative - an excellent candidate for the House. This from a previous post:
She is pro-tax cuts, pro-tax reform with lower taxes "across the board." She believes marriage should be between a man and a woman. Ellmers supports strong border enforcement and is against amnesty. She wants a system of strong employment verification to protect the employer. She wants Guantanamo kept open, and terrorist suspects tried in a military venue. She revers the Second Amendment and your right to keep and bear arms. Ellmers supports off-shore drilling, and believes it will be a boost to her home state of North Carolina. She is against Cap-and-Trade.On energy:
I support off-shore drilling – it could be a boon for North Carolina’s economy. I oppose President Obama’s ‘Cap and Trade’ bill which raises taxes on energy, then uses the tax money to send $300 billion in foreign aid to Third World nations so they can build so-called ‘Green Industries.Bob Etheridge, a proud and egotistical member of the "ruling class," man-handled in a not-too-gentle manner, a young University student attempting to ask him a question about the Obama administration. If you have not seen it, you'll find it at Le-gal In-sur-rec-tion linked above, or just follow the link below to Renee's profile. Donate to Renee Ellmers for Congress here.
