Ron Wyden and Jim Huffman
Now get this, found at TheBlaze:
Wyden, who was influential in getting section 1332 included in the national health care bill, said he “wrote Section 1332 specifically with Oregon in mind.” He has been an ardent supporter of individual mandates in the past, authoring the Wyden-Bennett health care bill that included such a requirement.A liar and a hypocrite in Congress could be replaced by Ron Huffman, a constitutional expert.
From the Wall Street Journal:
One little-known provision of the bill allows states to opt out of the "requirement that individuals purchase health insurance," Mr. Wyden wrote, and "Because you and I believe that the heart of real health reform is affordability and not mandates, I wanted to bring this feature of Section 1332 to the attention of you and the legislature."
Now, that's news. One of the Democratic Party's leading experts on health care wants his state to dump the individual mandate that is among ObamaCare's core features.Remember, the administration says they must have the individual mandate to pay for the cost of this terrible legislation. So, if Oregon can opt-out, we know other states can opt-out. Who will make up the dollar difference? The answer: you and I. Come on Oregon! There is EVERYTHING to like about a candidate who will respect the rule of law.
