Opportunities in America - Michelle Obama

As I was visiting over at Charming, Just Charming yesterday and (thank you, GuyK) his "Best Read of the Day" lead me to Jan's blog at Vinegar and Honey. Jan has up a guest article written by the excellent Ed Kaitz at American Thinker.

Mr. Kaitz tells a story about some time he spent in New Orleans in the 1980's. The issue then, as it is today: Black American's anger toward White America.

Relevant to the Kaitz piece are a few words of advice from Michelle Obama to the women of Zanesville, Ohio, (excerpted from The Corner on National Review by Byron York):

Don’t go into corporate America. You know, become teachers. Work for the community. Be social workers. Be a nurse. Those are the careers that we need, and we’re encouraging our young people to do that. But if you make that choice, as we did, to move out of the money-making industry into the helping industry, then your salaries respond.
While I could blog volumes about getting American women out of "the money-making industry," I'd rather you read the post at Vinegar and Honey. It ties frighteningly to Barack Obama's Presidential campaign and his vision for America.
