G.W. Bush Talks About His New Book, Decision Points (Video)

Former President George W. Bush spoke at the University of Alabama this week and talked about his new book, Decision Points. The video below points out that G.W. has never spoken-out about his "decisions," and has been loathe to speak out against the ugly dialog coming from Barack Obama and the years of pummeling from the mainstream media.

He apparently does speak candidly in the book. There will be revelations, and I believe this book will be a huge seller - but we will not hear him bash the Obama administration. We have long-waited to hear the stories of the decisions this principled, good-hearted man faced.

Bush speaking at the University of Alabama:

"It's about the decisions I made as president, and it's very anecdotal. Here are the stories, and you can decide what you would have done," he was quoted as saying in the the Press-Register of Mobile.  The 64-year-old said the tome gives some understanding to the decisions he made on tough issues like the handling of 9/11 and the Iraq war. The president, who has become a target of both Democrats and President Obama since he left office, refused to comment on the current state of political affairs. "You're not going to see me out opining or offering my critique. Frankly, I don't think it's good for the country to have a former president criticize his successor," Bush said.

In keeping with G.W.'s non-confrontational manner, the book will not be released until after the mid-term elections, with a Decision Points release date of November 9th, 2010.

Bobby Bright Nancy Pelosi: Bobby Bright Jokes About Nancy Pelosi Dying

Pelosi's toxicity reaches deep into the South, where Blue Dog Democrat Rep. Bobby Bright (Ala-2nd District) is scrambling to keep his seat against challenger Republican Martha Roby who says "Our congressman voted for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House. How he voted any other time is irrelevant." Ouch! Bright, who bills himself as the the most independent member in Congress joked about Pelosi falling ill and dying, among other possibilities, that might put him in a position of not having to vote for her again.

Speaking at a local Chamber of Commerce event, Bright "joked that Pelosi might lose her own election, decide not to run for the speaker’s job or otherwise not be available," 

He then suggested "jokingly" that Pelosi could fall ill and die in the coming months, thus preventing him from having to vote for her as Speaker. His remarks reportedly drew laughter from the audience.

The Cook Political Report lists Bright's seat as leaning Democratic, but he represents a district that Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) won in the 2008 presidential race with 68 percent of the vote.

Alabama Cop Keeps Videographers Off Public Beach with Ambulance, Paramedic and Fire Trucks

Marguerite Cravatt along with a co-producer and cameraman have traveled the Gulf coast area extensively. On what should have been a busy beach day, the only activity is that of the BP cleanup and "a medical emergency" needing ambulance and a fire truck.

The video below is of an Alabama beach in Gulf Shores. As Cravatt tried to video the action, out of the way of the "emergency," but in camera range and on public property, an Alabama police officer tried to stop her. During that time, more paramedics arrive, and another ambulance arrives and eventually takes someone out on a stretcher.

Marguerite says she is an "independent producer," and with her small crew is traveling the Gulf Coast area and documenting the oil spill:

We collected video footage from the epicenter - Venice, as well as Grand Isle, New Orleans, the French Quarter, and we toured the swamps and the marshes of Louisiana. We drove the coastline of Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida, and we saw oil, oil, and more oil. Hundreds of miles of beaches destroyed.

Heavy Oil Miles Out in Gulf: Sharks Dolphins Swimming in Oil Video

This video offers 9 minutes of aerial views of the Gulf, starting at Gulf Shores, Alabama.  At the time, the area was in a no-fly zone. In the second video the narrator explains how the plane was able to get around the closed airspace. The date is June 21st, 2010. John Wathen, known as the Hurricane Creekkeper, said he and the crew see solid masses of oil at 17 miles out. The entire Gulf is covered. "There is no more clean water."

At 23 miles out, the heaviest sheen of oil was found. - a "rainbow of death."  The video shows dolphins and sharks - swimming in oil.

In the second video below, Wathen is interviewed on CNN. The first 1:45 is a replay of the aerial video, then the interview begins. He says this is much, much bigger than we are being told. Wathen is a representative of Save our Gulf, which has 7 waterkeeper programs. He speaks of how difficult it was to realize "this is hopeless, hopeless to think that we can't keep this coming on shore and affecting our communities."

Nunguesser is very vocal. He talked about Thad Allen, the U.S. Coast Guard and the government's reluctance to let the A-Whale begin gathering the oil. See the A-Whale video, and how it works here, as well as Nunguesser saying if the clean-up fails, it will be Obama's fault.

While at BP Oil Slick, take a look at this article which says BP claims they are not covering over oiled sand on the beaches with more sand, yet on July 2, 2010 the writer watched them do so for over 24 hours. Apparently the Coast Guard stood by and watched it too. Be sure to watch the video. This gets sadder and more frightening by the day. While this affects all of us, and breaks our hearts, the people in the affected area are in special need our prayers.

We can send our press into the heat of Iraq and Afghanistan, but their presence in the Gulf is forbidden by the administration - it's all about their "personal safety" dontcha know. This is outrageous, as you will see in the video. Is air space still closed?

 Obama is still looking for some ass to kick. He chose the press. If you don't see it, it didn't happen. I'd love to see Anderson Cooper this pumped about the border. We could sure use some press about the Arizona and Texas problem. Cooper says "we are not the problem here," but he and others in the mainstream media have become the problem because they won't tell the stories with any sense of thoroughness or urgency. Seriously, does anyone know if the airspace over the spill has been opened?

Greta van Susteran revealed tonight that Beth Holloway paid a partial payment to van der Sloot  in exchange for information on the location of her missing daughter Natalee Holloway.

Today, the U.S. Government filed a suit in U.S. District Court charging Joran van der Sloot with extortion. A "financial institution in Birmingham, Alabama issued the payment. Van der Sloot wouldn't talk until he received the entire $250,000 payment.

Amy Bishop Bill Delahunt Wendy Murphy: Delahunt Defends his Influence Peddling that Kept Amy Bishop from being Charged

Wendy Murphy, a victim's rights advocat takes Rep. Bill Delahunt to task. Delahunt was instrumental in University of Alabama at Huntsville (UAH) killer, Amy Bishop Anderson, not being charged in the murder of her brother.

The story was that police were readying to book Bishop in 1986 when the Police Chief Polio talked to Delahunt, then the District Attorney, by phone. When he hung up, Bishop was released.

Rather than taking responsibility, Delahunt pointed the finger of blame at Braintree cops, claiming it was their fault he knew nothing about the fact that after Bishop shot her brother to death, she ran to a nearby auto body shop and aimed the weapon at an employee. Delahunt said he would have filed weapons charges against Bishop, had he known, so that she could have gotten necessary “mental health” services. 

Murphy points a few gaping whole in the current U.S. Democrat Congressman's postition:

1) The question is not whether he charged her, but is whether it was murder or not.

2) He blames Braintree, Mass. police for not giving him a proper report on the incident, but "in every homicide, it's the District Attorney, not the police who decide whether criminal charges are appropriate. The shooting was front page news. Delahunt had to know the details.

3) Delahunt says a witness' testimony, from a confrontation with Bishop and her rifle right after she killed her brother, was not the issue. Delahunt never explored a motive. Didn't explore the autopsy findings, and the fact that you really can't accidentally shoot someone with a 12-guage pump-action shotgun.

4) A State Trooper assigned to Delahunt's office filed a report saying it was an accident with only Bishop's account of the shooting.

5)...Delahunt also had independent control over the autopsy, which would have been critical to a determination that the shooting was “accidental” because autopsies in shooting deaths show the trajectory of the wound. For example, a bullet that goes “straight” through a body- as apparently was the case with Amy’s brother – would disprove that the weapon went off “by accident” because an “accidental” shooting would create an “angled” rather than “straight” trajectory.

Debra M. Moriarity was the closet colleague to work with Amy Bishop Anderson and she has described the events leading to the shootings, death and wounding of 6 University of Alabama at Huntsville (UAH) staff members.

Moriarity, 55, has been at UAH since 1983. She is a professor of biochemistry, and the dean of the graduate school. Her laboratory was located next to Amy Bishop's. Here are snippets of her story:

For almost an hour, the meeting focused on departmental business. Ms. Moriarity was looking at some papers on the table when the first shot was fired, killing the chairman of the department, Gopi K. Podila.

Ms. Moriarity looked up and saw Ms. Bishop fire the second shot. Apparently, Ms. Bishop was simply going down the line, starting with the people closest to her, killing Mr. Podila, Adriel D. Johnson Sr., and Maria Ragland Davis, all professors, and severely wounding Stephanie Monticciolo, a department administrator, and Joseph G. Leahy, a professor. All were shot in the head.

Another professor, Luis Rogelio Cruz-Vera, was shot in the chest.

After the second shot, Ms. Moriarity dove under the table. "I was thinking 'Oh, my God, this has to stop," she said.

Ms. Moriarity crawled beneath the rectangular table toward Ms. Bishop, who was blocking the doorway. She grabbed at Ms. Bishop's legs and pushed at her, yelling, "I have helped you before, I can help you again!" Ms. Moriarity had in fact worked with Ms. Bishop, and they shared some similar research interests.

Ms. Bishop stepped away from her grasp. While still on the floor, Ms. Moriarity managed to crawl partially out into the hallway. Ms. Bishop, who continued shooting the entire time, then turned her attention to Ms. Moriarity, placing two hands on the gun and pointing it at her. Ms. Bishop's expression was angry—"intense eyes, a set jaw," Ms. Moriarity recalled.

With Ms. Moriarity looking up at her, Ms. Bishop pulled the trigger twice. The gun clicked, apparently out of bullets.

Ms. Moriarity scrambled back to the room. Meanwhile, Ms. Bishop, now barely in the hallway, appeared to be rummaging in her bag, perhaps attempting to reload. Ms. Moriarity took advantage of Ms. Bishop's fumbling and closed the door. Others in the room then helped her push the table against the door, fearing that Ms. Bishop would continue her rampage.

 Dr. Moriarity's colleague, Joseph Ng, said her actions took a lot of guts, and saved lives. In the meantime, Amy Bishop Anderson is said to be on suicide watch, which may be routine for a week or two. Jail officials say she is interacting normally, "just like anyone else," and a psychiatric nurse working with Bishop says she has not exhibited any suicidal tendencies.

The stories about Bishop are beginning to leak. According to an unnamed source who knows Bishop, she was an enigmatic egghead and talking to her was "like crawling to the bottom of a coal mine with the lights off. I don't think [her husband] ever really understood her. I don't think anybody did."

Amy Bishop's husband, Jim Anderson, has told reporters that he and his wife visited a firing range a few days before the Huntsville shooting at the University of Alabama. He is, however, clueless about where Bishop got the gun to kill and wound the faculty members at the school. - or maybe not. Press reports differ about how the gun came into her possession, and her husband made an odd statement about "therapy."

According to Anderson, the trip to the firing range was not a routine outing. In fact, she did not tell him why she was interested in "target practice, and apparently he did not ask. But then this dotty husband, who was questioned along with Amy, when the Harvard professor where Bishop worked received pipe bombs in the mail, says, well...he knew she had a gun, but did not know where or when she got it.

This report says Anderson said his wife had been to the driving range one other time with a friend. He told his her to get rid of the gun, he did not want it in the house or around their four children, ranging in age from 8 to 18:

Ms. Bishop, according to her husband, had borrowed the gun and was considering buying it. Last summer, he said, someone followed her across the campus. "She was worried about crazy students," he said. Mr. Anderson said had he warned his wife: "OK, but you can't carry it to work."

 A curious comment from Anderson about his wife and therapy:

Mr. Anderson said his wife was not taking antidepressant drugs and was not in therapy. "Therapy was moving ahead -- keep pushing," he said. After his wife was denied tenure, he said he had sat her down and said, "You're beautiful, you're smart, you have an IQ above 160, let's figure out what you want to do."

Bishop graduated Northeastern University in 1988 and received her doctorate from Harvard in genetics in 1993. University of Alabama colleagues are quoted saying she was "pretty smart," and "knew her stuff," but her superiors questioned her ability to supervise others

According to Anderson, the trip to the indoor shooting range occurred a "couple of weeks" before she murdered three and severely wounded three, two of whom are still in critical condition.

The first reaction is to ask how a University would have a person like Amy Bishop on staff, but an Illinois law professor has said if Bishop was not booked, the incident would not have shown up on background checks.

He said there are more extensive and expensive types of background checks that might have turned up those incidents.

"But we normally don't do those for a reason and a respect for privacy. They are very invasive," Finkle said. "You can't function in an atmosphere of suspicion."

Bishop was cleared of shooting and killing her 18 year-old-brother some 20 years ago. That case will be reopened, according to police. She reportedly fired three shots in that incident: once into a wall, once into her brother and once into the ceiling. Dr. Amy Bishop was the prime suspect in a 1993 mail pipe bombing attempt of a Harvard Medical School professor. Read about the novel found on her computer. Updates and Details as they evolve. Update 2-15-10 below.

The 1993 attempted bombing happened at the same time the Unabomber was being sought. Those working with Bishop at the time say they were terrified:

We were completely rattled -- it was the time of the Unabomber," former co-worker Sylvia Fluckiger said of the two homemade pipe bombs that were sent to the professor's house. The bombs were later detonated by the bomb squad.

Ms. Fluckiger said Bishop and the Dr. Paul Rosenberg had a disagreement.

I just know there was an argument ... that the police questioned her," Fluckiger said. "She had told me they talked to her about those bombs. She had like a grin on her face."

This report says that Dr. Rosenberg either did, or planned to, give Bishop a negative job performance evaluation.

The Amy Bishop saga should make it mandatory that background checks for University personnel be thorough. What are these people doing on our campus' with our children?

Investigators told ABC News that during the investigation into the bombing they found a novel on her computer that described a scientist who had shot her brother and then sought redemption.

Bishop and her husband, Jim Anderson were both questioned about the package containing two bombs was sent to Dr. Rosenberg's home in Newton, Massachusetts. The case remains unsolved.

ABC is reporting that the 1993 investigation will not be reopened, but the shooting and death of Bishop's brother, Seth Bishop, will be reopened.

Update 2-15-10:

A Braintree, Mass. man say he was at work at an auto dealership the day Bishop shot her brother. Here's a snippet of the story - and after this, think about how this woman could have cleared in the death of her brother so easily:

Tom Pettigrew, 45, told the Herald he was working at the Dave Dinger Ford auto repair shop in South Braintree, near the former Bishop home, when he saw the gun-wielding woman run into the dealership with what he thought was a BB gun.

Pettigrew said he heard noise coming from where car keys are stored, so he went to investigate.

“I go over to the door and I can sense that she’s right near the door,” Pettigrew said. “I’m thinking it’s a BB gun. I open the door and she’s right there and we basically bumped into each other and I got a shotgun right in my chest!”

And she’s like, ‘Hands up!’ and I’m like, ‘Yes ma’am’


Bishop appeared agitated and nervous, Pettigrew said. The University of Alabama professor now accused of killing three colleagues Friday said she needed a car because, “I got into a fight with my husband and he’s going to kill me,” the worker recalled.

Pettigrew says Bishop was walking through dealership looking at cars when the police arrived. Police questioned him, he told his story, but he never heard from them again. Read the entire story here.

Rep. Bill Delahunt (D-MASS) was the District Attorney at the time that University of Alabama Huntsville (UAH) shooter, Amy Bishop shot and killed her brother in 1986. Something I've heard nothing about is the current Chief of Police in Braintree, Massachusetts, saying in the video below, that Amy Bishop pointed the shotgun at a passing vehicle as she fled her home, after shooting her brother.

Bishop opened fire on colleagues at UAH, last week, killing three and leaving three critically wounded. As the news raced throughout the country, we learned that Dr. Bishop had also shot her 18 year old brother, Seth Bishop, some 24 years ago. He died within minutes of arriving at the hospital. Charges against Amy Bishop were mysteriously dropped, but police around at that time, still remember the case - but they do not all remember it the same way. In fact, even Amy and her mother remember the circumstances differently, of the shot that killed their brother and son.

According to the current Braintree police chief, Paul H. Frazier, Amy Bishop fatally shot her 18-year-old brother, Seth, on Dec. 6, 1986, but was set free the same day by Braintree Police under orders from then-Police Chief John Polio.

In news accounts at the time, Polio called the death an accident that happened when Bishop was learning how to unload a shotgun.

Frazier challenged that account today, saying instead that Bishop shot her brother during an argument and fled on foot with the 12-gauge shotgun before being captured by police, who handcuffed her and took her to the station. The case file, including the report of the incident, disappeared shortly thereafter, he said. 

Police released Bishop after a telephone conversation with then-District Attorney Bill Delahunt, long an advocate for confiscating the guns of American citizens.

The police officers here were very upset about that," said Frazier, who was a patrolman at the time and spoke to officers who remembered the incident that day, including one who filed a report on it. 

In the video below, you will hear current Police Chief Frazier say Amy's mother was a "public figure" and that is why she was never charged in the murder of her brother. Gateway Pundit has the scoop on Judith Bishop at the time her son died. AND also, Frazier says that when Amy Bishop left the house after shooting her brother, she aimed the shotgun at a passing car (about 1:56 minutes in).

The case files on the death of Seth Bishop have been missing since 1987-1988, but yesterday the  police released a 12-page report written on the day of the shooting, saying that Amy Bishop was "too emotional" to be questioned. Authorities returned to the home 11 days later and met with Amy and her parents "individually."

According to the investigation report, after Amy and her father had a disagreement, he left for a shopping trip and she went to her room. Amy decided to go to her parents’ room to teach herself to load the shotgun the family had acquired the previous year for protection after a break-in. She succeeded but could not remove the shells, and the gun fired in the bedroom. Amy then went downstairs to ask for help unloading it and inadvertently shot her brother while her mother watched, according to the report.

Makes me think her father did the right thing by leaving the house.

 Amy’s mother said Amy asked her for help unloading the gun; she told Amy to be careful where she pointed it, and that Amy turned and accidentally shot her brother. Her mother said she screamed and called the police, as Amy ran out of the house.

Amy said she asked her brother, not her mother, for help unloading the gun, and that she was pointing it beside her leg for safety. She said her brother told her to point it up instead. As he walked across the kitchen floor, someone said something, and Amy turned and the gun went off.

David Codrea at The Examiner has a new bit of information on the UAH shooting. Amy Bishop dumped her gun in a second-floor bathroom before exiting the building. Oh, and did I mention that searches show that the mainstream media, for the most part, is NOT MENTIONING DELAHUNT, or that he is a Democrat. I have have one mention in the New York Times.

Amy Bishop UAH Shooter Shot and Killed Brother 20 Years Ago: Was it an Accident? Maybe Not.

Molly Hennenberg at FOXNews just reported that Dr. Amy Bishop, the University of Alabama at Huntsville (UAH) professor who allegedly killed three and wounded three of her colleagues, shot and killed her brother in Massachusetts when she was 20-years-old. Was it an accident? It depends on who you talk to.

The incident is believed to be an accident by some. She was "unloading a shotgun in the family home," in Massachusetts, and a shot killed Seth M. Bishop, 18.

From the Boston Globe:

The Boston Globe reported at the time that Amy Bishop had accidentally shot her 18-year-old brother, Seth M. Bishop, an accomplished violinist who had won a number of science awards, in Braintree.

Braintree Police Chief Paul Frazier confirmed today at a news conference that Amy Bishop had fatally shot her brother. But Frazier offered a different account of the shooting, saying Bishop had shot her brother during an argument and was being booked by police when the police chief at the time ordered the booking process stopped and Bishop released to her mother.

Frazier said he was basing his statements on the memories of one of his officers who was on the department at the time and had arrested Bishop. He said the records from the case have been missing since at least 1987.

Amy Bishop is the mother of four.

The wounded are Dr. Joseph Leahy, professor of microbiology and Stephanie Monticciolo, a department assistant were in critical condition last night. Dr. Luis Rogelio Cruz-Vera, a professor of molecular biology is reported to be in stable condition.

Dr. Amy Bishop, 42, has been charged on three counts of capital murder in the first degree and three counts of assault in the first degree. Update 2-13-10 12:07 PM EST: In a press conference occurring now, the report is that Bishop has been charged with one count of capital murder, not three counts.

Todd T. Brown Shooter to be Tried as Adult: 14 Yr Old Shooter at Discovery Middle School to be Tried as Adult

The shooter of Todd T. Brown has not been identified, but he appeared in front of the judge today for a decision on his detention. The murderer was also 14 years old. He was detained, and returned to the Neaves-Davis Detention Center, Madison County, Alabama. The state made a motion for the shooter to be charged as an adult.

Todd Brown, 14, was standing in the hallway of his school, Discovery Middle School in Madison, Alabama, talking with other students, when the shooter, another ninth grader, and a Discovery student, walked up to him and shot him in the back of the head. He died in-hospital a short time later.

Omar Hammami is an America member of al-Qaeda with the adopted name of Abu Mansour (Mansoor) al-Amriki. The Daphne, Alabama native, with a southern belle mom and Syrian dad, is indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of providing material support for terrorists. Hammami-al-Amriki is believed to be in Somalia. Al-Amriki's father, Shafik Hammami, is a follower of Islam and has had his own dust-ups with the press. His mother Debra, and Shafik can be seen here in a photo with Omar's older sister, Dena. Shafik Hammami came to the US from Damascus, Syria in 1972 to pursue his civil engineering degree at the University of South Alabama. Mrs. Hammami is a school teacher. Daphne, Alabama is on the Mobile Bay.

An article in the New York Times today portrays Hammami as a popular, and cool, all-American boy: president of his sophomore class, dating the most popular blonde in the school, class clown, "gifted student,"..."remarkable charisma," but a FOXNews report from September 2009 when the indictment was handed down, tells another story. If the NYT article is true, Omar Hammami made a drastic turn toward extremist Islam within one year:

Cynthia McMeans, who taught Omar Hammami in an international studies class and a Model United Nations program, said the teenager affected a Middle Eastern accent almost overnight during his junior year at Daphne High School.

As a teenager, Hammami had turned from the Baptist beliefs of his mother to the Muslim religion his father practiced, McMeans said, and in the spring of 2001, he expressed sympathy toward hard-line Islamic regimes.

"He was just starting on that path, when he was in the 11th grade," McMeans said. "It wasn't the religion part of it that was scary, it was supporting Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida and the Taliban and the Sharia law."...

 He had a lot of potential and was smart. He could've done anything," McMeans said. "It doesn't surprise me that Omar isn't just a regular terrorist -- he's infamous. It's sad but it's not surprising.

The NYT article printed one of Hammami's 7th grade poems:

My reality is a bore, I wish, I want, I need the wall to fall and the monster to let me pass, the leash to snap, the chains to break...I've got a taste of glory, the ticket, but where is my train?

Hammami was baptised in his mother's Baptist church. Friends recall him saying that he was a believer, but his third trip to Syria when just before beginning his sophomore year, found him in "profound spiritual struggle." His "girlfriend," Lauren Stevenson, said the "cohesiveness of [Islamic] brotherhood" drew him in.

For a while, Hammami seemed to be two people. He would smoke a cigarette and then feel guilty. He treasured his Friday-night routine -- the football game and the meal at Waffle House -- but started pulling away from his friends to go to the mosque. Soon he was praying at school. "It took a lot to become the 'weirdo guy who prays in the library,' " Hammami later wrote.

Mike Faulk, a journalist, had an intense run-in with Hammami in Ms. McMeans classroom:

Omar Hammami was raised in the Plantation Hills subdivision in Daphne, and McMeans said the teen had a Southern accent when he first started her class.

As the lessons progressed, he became more dedicated to Islam, praying daily at the school, McMeans said, and he revealed radical political views.

One day, Hammami attacked another student who teased him for speaking Arabic in class, according to McMeans and the classmate, Mike Faulk.

"His calm face turned sour and before I had even noticed it he was on his feet and running around desks toward me," Faulk wrote in a blog post. "I stayed in my seat just staring at him having no idea what he was about to do. Then he put his hands around my throat, clamped down as tight as he could so that no air was coming in or out and just stared me right in the eyes."

Faulk, who now works as a journalist, told the Press-Register on Saturday that he also noticed signs that Hammami was sympathetic to al-Qaida.

Hammami scored in the 93rd percentile on his A.C.T.'s. He skipped his senior year in high school and enrolled at the University of South Alabama, where he became president of the Muslim Student Association (MSA)

Remember when the 6th Century Bamyan Buddhas were destroyed by the Taliban in central Afghanistan? Hammami defended the Taliban in McMeans classroom.

McMeans said Hammami called her shortly after the attacks [9/11/01], concerned about the media attention he received.

"You do a big disservice to all the Muslims and all the Arabic people around here if you spout off some kind of crazy jihadist stuff," McMeans recalled telling him. "You should be very careful about what you say."

Sheik Abu Mansour (Mansoor) al-Amriki is known as "The American," and is considered a high-ranking official of al-Shabab.

He is currently in Somalia, training new recruits to al-Shabab - many of them American boys of Somali descent....

He is the star of al-Shabab's most recent recruitment video - a highly sophisticated video that employs hip-hop and looks more like an extreme version of "Survivor" - his face exposed for the first time. (He has appeared on al-Jazeera, but with his face obscured.) The boys are all obscured, but they, too, are clearly American, the Sheikh acknowledging their sudden lack of American comforts: "The only reason we are staying here, away from families, cities, ice, candy bars," he says, "is because we're waiting to meet the enemy."

See this article where it is reported Hammami found his Islamic mentors had been "hiding many parts of the religion that have a direct relationship to jihad and politics...." The same report says that Hammami aka al-Amriki married a Somali woman living in Toronto, Canada.

Within a matter of weeks, he persuaded her to socialize with only women and to wear the abaya, a cloaklike garment.

They married in March 2005. Hammami and his pregnant wife settled in Alexandria, Egypt along with converted friends in Toronto. In Alexandria, he became convinced that "jihad" was an obligation. He joined Shabaab in late 2006. Throughout, he kept in touch with his sister, Dena, by email. By 2008, he was a leader on the battlefield.

Debra Hammami, his mother, said she was "shocked" that this is the path her son has taken. She never spoke of al-Qaeda to her son, she said. Obviously, a completely delusional mother. Shafik Hammami is a civil engineer with the Alabama Department of Transportation and a former president of the Islamic Society of Mobile.

If you watched the video, you heard an al-Qaeda expert say that some of the young American Somalis shown could possibly return to the US to recruit or attack. Six thousand Somali refugees are coming to the US under a humanitarian refugee program. We are assured that any links to terrorism are being investigated. Such assurances do little to make me feel more comfortable.

Perhaps you have read that Obama has asked his national security team to investigate the claims of human rights violations in Afghanistan by Allied Forces against the Taliban. The short story is, there is a group claiming that we put 2000 Taliban in a railroad container to move them somewhere, they suffocated and we buried them in a mass grave. All this happened in 2001. Obama’s Surgeon General Pick…Finally No Controversy! Wait…Better Think Again

Let’s face it….all seemed so innocent yesterday as we saw Regina Benjamin nominated as Surgeon General of the United States by Barack Hussein Obama…here was this rural doctor from Alabama, this champion of non-profit healthcare…a doctor who herself was a victim of Hurricane Katrina. Well folks, what I have found out about our President is this - nothing is innocent and nothing isn’t calculated. It’s all about pieces of a jigsaw puzzle fitting into the finished product and quite frankly, more and more Americans are waking up to the fact that the finished product is uglier than sin. We might just come to understand why Regina Benjamin runs a “non profit” clinic. It took a little digging into some facts about Regina Benjamin but I couldn’t quite understand the following:

Why is a rural doctor from the poorer section of Alabama connected to President Obama’s shocking announcement this past weekend that he will investigate U.S. involvement in the alleged mass murder of Taliban prisoners in Afghanistan in the early days of the War in Afghanistan?

I know, you think that I’ve finally lost it here, don’t you? haha Well, let me try and connect the dots for you. First off, from the article at Yahoo News, let’s take a glance at this rags to riches story of Dr. Benjamin:

Pushed by the need in her own shrimping community of Bayou La Batre, Ala., and its diverse patient mix — white, black and, increasingly immigrants from Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos — Benjamin, 51, has emerged as a national leader in the call to improve health disparities. She became the first black woman and the first doctor under age 40 elected to the American Medical Association’s board of trustees, and in 2002 became the first black woman to head a state medical society.

Impressive, to say the least. However, not every organization that Regina Benjamin belongs to was included in that Yahoo article or the White House press releases. From the Fox News article, we find that Dr. Benjamin has held another seat of authority:

Okay, I meant to put up a Wikipedia reference to that fact that Benjamin is on the board of Physicians for Human Rights but from the time last night when I noticed it at Wiki til this morning, that information has mysteriously (or conveniently) been deleted from the Wikipedia information.

So, since Regina Benjamin serves in such a high capacity at Physicians for Human Rights (PHR), I decided to find out more about that organization.

I invite you to view the home page of Physicians for Human Rights here and after viewing that home page, I ask you…does that organization not resemble the most radical of activist groups in America? I mean, for pete’s sakes, that home page looks like something you’d find at Code Pink or one of the anarchist sites! You notice all of the calls to expose President Bush and Vice President Cheney’s role in the Afghanistan incident from years ago?

And the light went on over my head. I decided to pull up the news story from Fox News that I cited just yesterday in the story of how Obama shockingly has reversed course and decided to investigate the U.S. role in the alleged massacre of 2,000 Taliban prisoners by the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan back in 2001. I knew I had seen the organization, Physicians for Human Rights, mentioned there..or at least thought I had seen it and lo and behold, I saw it here:

Reacting to the interview, Physicians for Human Rights hailed Obama’s decision. “President Obama is right to say that U.S. and Afghan violations of the laws of war must be investigated,” said Nathaniel Raymond, a Physicians for Human Rights researcher. “If the Obama administration finds that criminal wrongdoing occurred in this case, those responsible — whether American or Afghan officials — must be prosecuted.”

Okay. Take a deep breath, because I’m not done yet. We have just seen how the newly nominated Regina Benjamin sits on the board, in a position of highest authority, at Physicians for Human Rights. And, we now have seen where that organization is calling for the prosecution of any American officials responsible for the 2001 alleged incident in Afghanistan (i’m assuming most of us have inserted “Bush/Cheney” in place of “officials”). So you have to be asking yourself just why this Physicians for Human Rights organization seems so radical….doesn’t their mission seem a bit too….oh, how should I put it….political?

Hold on to your chairs as we look at the dude that founded Physicians for Human Rights. The gentleman’s name is Dr. Jonathan Fine. Now, Dr. Fine is retired now but I want you to look at this from the PHR site that describes the mantra of this organization:

Dr. Fine also led investigations into the massive use of tear gas in South Korea and chemical weapons against Kurds in Iraq. Under his tenure, PHR documented human rights violations in Colombia, El Salvador, the Balkans, Israel and the West Bank, and Iraq following the Persian Gulf War.

Okay, look at that more closely with me:

1. PHR looked into violations made my South Korea, not North Korea

2. PHR looked into human rights violations in Colombia but not Venezuela or Cuba

3. PHR addressed human rights violation in Israel but not in Gaza, Saudi Arabia or Syria

4. PHR investigated violations of human rights in Iraq AFTER the Persian Gulf War but has not investigated human rights violations in Iran, Pakistan, China or Russia

So, you could ask me, why are you spending so much time on this, Holger? Because I have determined that every single appointment, every single decision and every single action taken by our new President in the past six months can be linked to his furthering a Socialist/Marxist agenda for America.

This woman, Regina Benjamin, stood up in front of the press corps yesterday, supposedly with this down home all-American image and the whole time the American people did NOT get to see her for what she is…she is a radical activist in the movement of Socialism in this country - she helps direct an organization that demanded that Barack Obama do its bidding and he did. This is an alliance between a front group of radical activism and the head of our government.

Barack Hussein Obama. A President who has now used the post in America most associated for watching out for the health and welfare of American citizens to further his socialist agenda.

Regina Benjamin. A simple, rural doctor tending to the poor in Alabama? Think again, America, think again.
