This video is a May 22, 2010 panel discussion at University of Denver, with Dennis Prager, Sarah Palin and Hugh Hewitt. Prager begins the discussion on "what is the greatest threat to America." His answer will surprise you. After Hugh Hewitt speaks with his adroit and short opinion, listen as Prager lays out the current "moment of darkness in American history." What a great panel of patriots. The short version of the video is second below. It mainly highlights Dennis Prager.

Remember the $787 billion stimulus? Of course you do. Three political scientists have just released their report on the massive piece of legislation that was spread far and wide to politicians whose districts were not the neediest, so no surprise the stimulus did not stimulate. So where is the Stimulus Czar Earl Devaney, tasked with safeguarding how the funds were spent?
$787 Billion Stimulus
The key quote:
...legislative leaders or lawmakers seated on committees of jurisdiction – steered resources disproportionately in their own direction. Why? Because they had the ability to do so.
Three political scientists, James G. Gimpel and Frances E. Lee of the University of Maryland, and Rebecca U. Thorpe of the University of Washington, presented a devastating critique of the first stimulus bill at the annual meeting of the American Political Science Association in Washington, D.C. last week.
Their paper, titled “The Distributive Politics of the Federal Stimulus: The Geography of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009,” finds that the funding allocated under last year’s massive spending measure was poorly targeted based on economic need.
Additionally, the way the funds were allocated fits with a lot of Americans’ negative preconceptions of how Washington really works.
Gimpel and his colleagues ask an important question. Did the stimulus money flow disproportionately to the areas with high unemployment and large numbers of mortgage foreclosures? The simple answer: No.
To the contrary, the study reveals the severity of the recession had little bearing on allocation of the dollars.
Yet distribution decisions were far from random. Gimpel and his colleagues write: “Clearly the ARRA did target federal resources to particular locations, just the wrong ones from a need standpoint.”
So how did the money get targeted? The research supports two other explanations. The first is known in political science circles as “distributive theory.”
This approach posits that members of Congress in key institutional positions – such as legislative leaders or lawmakers seated on committees of jurisdiction – steered resources disproportionately in their own direction. Why? Because they had the ability to do so....
Call it the “pork barrel” approach to politics.
What does Czar Earl Devaney have to say about this? Has anyone asked? Probably not. Where is Czar Earl Devaney?
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie faces another teacher's assault, and is more than capable of answering her. Christie obviously knows his stuff. This is an incredible face-off. "I stood here very respectfully and listened to you. If you want to put on a show, and giggle every time I talk, please sit down and I'll call on someone else."I don't know who the audience is, but they are supporting Christie with their applause.
New York Times columnist, Bob Herbert writes this week about America's dismal lack of education and our fascination with waywards like Lindsay Lohan. He laments our lack of industrial might, the fewer students applying for college, decries our joblessness, the economy - and the overall leadership of the world that we have let slip through our fingers. Herbert says America has put our brains on hold, and "everyone" is to blame for this miserable state of our nation. That begs a response, don't you think? Don't miss the video below.
Bob Herbert
What would a conservative have to say to Bob Herbert when he asks "where is the serious and widespread engagement" on these issues? We would tell him he isn't paying attention to the Right sources. If he took a peek to the Right he would see that we are hemorrhaging information and angst.
Among Herbert's concerns are: teachers are not teaching a curricula that is "interesting and inspiring." Grade school sex-ed must not be self-fulfilling for our youngsters. Cleanse the schools of Marxist/Communist teachers and teach real history - the Founding Fathers, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights - all stimulating and inspiring unless you are that Marxist/Communist teacher.
The struggle to strengthen the economy. Democrats wrecked it. They cheated responsible homeowners and rewarded irresponsible buyers. The plethora of easy money created swells of buyers, and the demand sent home prices soaring. When the adjustable rates kicked in, the irresponsible simply walked away. After all they had no home equity because they received a zero-down government loan. Banks sold the abandoned properties for far less than their customers paid for them, and the responsible homeowners in the neighborhood saw their home values plummet as well. It WAS the Democrats who deserve the blame. Blame Barney Franks, Maxine Waters and Chris Dodd. Here are the facts.
We have to mention the reprehensible spending habits of Republicans during the Bush years, right? Bush took office in January 2001 and served until January 2009. Barack Obama came to the U.S. Senate in January 2005 and served until mid-November 2008. Despite his whiny claims that the deficit belongs to G.W., the truth is, long before Obama descended to the White House he voted for each and every Bush budget. This from Rush Limbaugh:
He [Obama] never opposed anything about what Bush was doing. He was always of the
mind it wasn't enough. Now, if the Democrats "inherited" any deficit,
it was the fiscal year 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets.
That deficit in fiscal year 2007 was the lowest deficit in five years,
the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, the
Democrats in Congress took control of spending. They took control in
2007, and that includes Obama who voted for all of the budgets that Bush
put forth. He voted for every budget that busted whatever.
He
cannot say he opposed it. He cannot say he differed from it. He cannot
say he warned everybody. He was right in there! He voted for every one
of those budgets, so if he "inherited" anything, he inherited from
himself because he was right there. His only complaint during the Bush
administration was that they weren't spending enough.
In fact, Bush expanded the budget by $700 billion through 2008. Obama didn't fool with the small stuff. He added another $1 trillion. Here's a little tid-bit that you should know: "...Obama's budget" according to The Heritage Foundation, would add twice as much debt as G.W. Bush.
About the loss of our "industrial might:" Blame the unions. There is no need to lay out the facts here. We all know them much too well. The terrible truth has been revealed. Union contracts give companies good reason to go overseas and be "industrial" at a much lower cost, which in turn may lead to higher stockholder benefits back in the states. Americans don't build factories overseas for the fun of it - it 's a business decision. Get the unions in line with wages and benefits and remove the heavy green regulations on energy and we become "industrial" again.
About fewer students applying for a college education: White and middle class students are often turned down at the college of their choice. Excellent grades aren't enough to gain admittance. Parents willing to pay for their child's degree - to pay retail for it - doesn't do a thing to enhance their White child's chances. Why? Because affirmative action is still alive and well at University. If your child wants to go to a state school outside of your home state, very few slots are available for Caucasians. Should your White child aspire to an Ivy League school - good luck. The stats are literally stacked against him/her. In general, those spots are only open to Hispanics and Blacks entering with scholarships and grants. Their SAT's are handicapped and they jump to the front of the line. Whites and Asians with impressive grades are often not considered at all.
"Being Hispanic conferred an admissions boost over being white ... equivalent to 130 SAT points (out of 1,600), while being black rather than white conferred a 310-point SAT advantage. Asians, however, suffered an admissions penalty compared to whites equivalent to 140 SAT points."
"To have the same chance of gaining admission as a black student with a SAT score of 1100, a Hispanic student otherwise equally matched in background characteristics would have to have 1230, a white student a 1410, and an Asian student a 1550."
When you tell your child all his/her life, that if he works hard, and gets good grades, he can go to almost any school he wants - then you find you have lied to him for years, it is beyond discouraging.
But long before university, school vouchers could change elementary education for the better. Republicans want vouchers. Democrats hate them. but vouchers are the bane of Democrats. Legislation often doesn't make it out of committee - even knowing public schools are a recipe for failure. It is all about the money. The government gives public schools a stipend for each student in a classroom. Democrats must live with choosing the money and unions over the children.
Remember that one of the first things Obama did after taking office was to cut-off low-income blacks from scholarships to his daughter's school, the Sidwell Friends. Republicans fought for vouchers. Obama said he was open to them, he lied. Democrats had all the power but sided with the unions over the children. I dare you to watch the video below and tell me how exactly Democrats want better education.
Herbert said:
According to a new report from the College Board, the U.S. is 12th among
developed nations in the percentage of 25- to 34-year-olds with
college degrees. The report said, “As America’s aging and highly
educated work force moves into retirement, the nation will rely on young
Americans to increase our standing in the world.”
The problem is that today’s young Americans are not coming close to
acquiring the education and training needed to carry out that mission.
They’re not even in the ballpark. In that key group, 25- to
34-year-olds with a college degree, the U.S. ranks behind Canada, South
Korea, Russia, Japan, New Zealand, Ireland, Norway, Israel, France,
Belgium and Australia. That is beyond pathetic.
I agree - it is beyond pathetic, so maybe Bob Herbert will use his bi-weekly column to shame Democrats and their head-butting quest to put union interests ahead of education.
Herbert ends his article saying that after many years, and much accomplishment we led education worldwide, but we "foolishly applied the brakes." I agree. We wore out the brakes as we jammed them to the floor, desperately trying to stop the world and grab onto political correctness. In doing so, we dumbed down our schools, added worthless classes - even letting some students opt out of math and science because it was "hard." Now our brake pads are disintegrating and on fire, and there's no one in the "ruling" Democrat party committed to repairing them. Not everyone put their brains on hold, Mr. Herbert. I suggest those who did, get out of the way and let us handle it. Another suggestion from my hubby: "Bob, read Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams or Herman Cain please.

Dr. Walter Watson of Augusta, Georgia is 100 years old. He is the chairman of the Gynecology Department of an Augusta hospital, and he still drives to work a couple of times a week. He still practices but no longer delivers children. Unbelievably, Dr. Watson is estimated to have delivered 10 percent of Augusta's babies, and he is considered the oldest physician in the U.S.
Dr. Walter "Curley" Watson
The good Doctor is more of a presence at University Hospital than an active physician in the hospital today:
The staff clearly loves him, and he loves them. But it's the patients who seem to most appreciate Dr. Watson and his tireless, unending devotion to medicine. Between 1944, when Dr. Watson delivered his first baby, and 1995 when he stopped doing obstetrics, Dr. Watson ushered in a small army of satisfied customers.
Today, they're known simply as the "Watson babies." They range in age from 15 to 66 and their ranks are innumerable.
So how many babies has Dr. Watson delivered?
"Somewhere between 15,000 and 18,000," Dr. Watson said.
Curley is also the oldest living graduate of The Citadel," The Military College of South Carolina."
In the second video he says he has delivered plenty of twins but no triplets. Dr. Watson's wife, Audrey, is 85 years old and looks smashing. They have 5 children, 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. He attributes a loving family, eating right, good genes and a lot of exercise for his long healthy life.
In these days of political turmoil, the following videos are a vitamin for the soul.
A new report shows at some of the private universities considered among our finest, Blacks and Hispanics are given a sizable advantage over White conservatives and Christians. The writer of this piece points out the GOP knows this and has shamefully done nothing about it, said nothing about it, and when doling out the taxpayer dollars, racism is not a factor.
The Espenshade-Radford study compiled information from eight "highly competitive private colleges and universities with freshman SAT entering scores of 1360. Black and Hispanics were expected to each have a 5% to 7% presence on campus. Apparently, races are handicapped:
"Being Hispanic conferred an admissions boost over being white ... equivalent to 130 SAT points (out of 1,600), while being black rather than white conferred a 310-point SAT advantage. Asians, however, suffered an admissions penalty compared to whites equivalent to 140 SAT points."
"To have the same chance of gaining admission as a black student with a SAT score of 1100, a Hispanic student otherwise equally matched in background characteristics would have to have 1230, a white student a 1410, and an Asian student a 1550."
Note that Asians are expected to have a perfect SAT score to gain entry with a "Jamaican or Kenyan" with an 1150? If the student is a member of Future Farmers of America, the 4-H Clubs or Junior ROTC, that will lower your odds of admission by over 50%. Let that secret stay with the family.
Why are SAT scores manipulated in 2010?
Our American sons and daughters, nieces and nephews, Black and White, Asian or other have never experienced slavery, and those same American sons and daughters, nieces and nephews, have never enslaved anyone - and never wanted to.
For these young people, grandparents may have been a part of the civil rights movement, if not physically, in spirit. I understand that Blacks lost businesses, homes - many terrible things over the years, but these American sons and daughters are applying to very prestigious schools. Slavery is in the past - no matter what Black Panther King Samir Shabazz says standing on a street corner somewhere. It's done for these young people. They're on their way and they got there with help of family and teachers - maybe aunts and uncles and neighbors and pastors.
Again, why are SAT scores being manipulated in 2010?
White kids from poor families who score as well as white kids from wealthy families – think George W. Bush – not only get no break, they seem to be the most undesirable and unwanted of all students.
For these schools are not interested in a diversity that would include "born-again Christians from the Bible belt, students from Appalachia and other rural and small-town areas, people who have served in the U.S. military, those who have grown up on farms or ranches, Mormons, Pentecostals, Jehovah's Witnesses, lower- and middle-class Catholics, working class 'white ethnics,' social and political conservatives, wheelchair users, married students, married students with children or older students just starting into college and raising children."
"Lower-class whites prove to be all-around losers" at the elite schools. They are rarely accepted. Lower-class Hispanics and blacks are eight to 10 times more likely to get in with the same scores.
The article I'm quoting from is by Patrick Buchanan, and I know how his name brings scowls and clenched fists, but it isn't his study. He's just reporting it and he makes an excellent point:
That such bigotry is pervasive in 2010 at institutions that preen about how progressive they are is disgusting. That a GOP which purports to represents Middle America, whose young are bearing the brunt of this bigotry, has remained largely silent is shameful.
If we care about our families, and their futures, we will do something about this - like deny our taxpayer federal dollars - more revolts on the steps of Congress until something gets done.
Having said that, who wants their kids in racist schools like this anyway? Do we really think these unnamed schools are worth the well-being of our children? The GOP needs to hear from us. This must become an issue, and I suggest we get to it after the November elections, whether we have children or not. I want my taxes "stayed" from these racist academies of higher learning. Jeremiah Wright taught a five day course at the Chicago Theological Seminary last week, on the grounds of Chicago University. He had a lot to say to his small class of no more than 20 "older" African-American women who could afford to pay the $300 if not needed for college credit, or $1000+ for credit. Wright claims that Martin Luther King was wrong to advocate for non-violence for blacks "born in the oven of America." Who would pay the man to praise this country? Anyone?
Barack Obama with Jeremiah Wright
Forty-two years after the death of Martin Luther King, I think Wright is calling for violence against Whites.
From the New York Post here are some of the more disgusting quotes, although his "God d**n America" can't be topped for the worst of his outrages, and s you read them, remember that Barack Obama and Michelle sat in this church for 20 years:
We probably have more African-Americans who've been brainwashed than we have South Africans who've been brainwashed, he said, and seemed to allude to President Obama twice: "Unfortunately, I got in trouble with a fella for saying this...All your commentaries are written by oppressors." At the mention of nation of Islam head Louis Farrakhan - whom Obama disavowed during the campaign - black leaders "go cutting' and duckin,' he said.
"You are not now, nor have you ever been, nor will you ever be a brother to white folk," he said. "And if you do not realize that, you are in serious trouble."
The civil-rights movement," Wright said, "was never about racial equality. It was always about becoming white . . . to master what [they] do." Martin Luther King, he said, was misguided for advocating nonviolence among his people, "born in the oven of America."
"White folk done took this country"
Jeremiah Wright Home built in the oven of America
You probably remember that Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC) built a million dollar home in a gated in the Odyssey Club neighborhood on a golf course. The New York Post has an interesting bit of info: before the $1M home, the Wrights lived in a two-story house in an affluent subdivision "surrounded by roadblocks: the line between rich and poor is literal. His former neighbors all say he kept to himself."
NewsBusters' Noel Sheppard has more and says no one besides the New York Post reported this incendiary event. Once more, who would pay this man to talk nice?
Bay of Rigs didn't begin leaking at the time of the oil spill. It goes all the way back to releasing the Lockerbie terrorist who was said to be dying. Could the oil perpetually abiding in our beautiful Gulf of Mexico be lingering because dispersants are where the money is, even though they seem not to be working? Wait till you hear who owns the company making the chemicals being dumped into our waters.
Oil in Plaquemines, LA Marshlands
Here's the story on a fast track. Pan Am 103 exploded over Lockerbie Scotland on December 21, 1988. Everyone aboard died - all 270, 180 Americans. Libyan Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi was convicted of planting the bomb and sentenced to life in prison.
BP and its employees donate $77,051.00 to the Obama campaign, and a couple of million to Democrats.
The bomber spent about 20 years of a life sentence in a Scottish prison. After a controversial terminal prostate cancer diagnosis, he was sent back to Libya. Physicians said he had only three months to live.
The release of the Lockerbie bomber from prison would liberate Britain’s largest industrial company from a string of problems hampering its $900 million (£546 million) Libyan gas projects, industry sources claimed last night.
BP, the oil giant, signed a deal with Libya in 2007 to explore for gas in the west of the country and offshore. But since then it has faced a string of bureaucratic obstacles, including delays securing official permits and approvals to import equipment through Libyan customs, the sources said.
Obama didn't make much noise about Scotland releasing the bomber. He asked Libya not to have a big celebration on camera. They did it anyway.
The State Department notified lawmakers earlier this month of its intent to disburse $2.5 million in economic aid to Libya, including $400,000 for Qaddafi’s foundations. Of the $400,000 half will go to a foundation run by the leader’s son, Saif, and the other half to one run by his daughter, Aisha.
Republicans shut-down the $2.5 million Obama-Hillary Libyan scam.
In September 2009 the economic crisis still rages, "while government deficits are artificially showing quarterly GDP growth or stability after the free fall in Q1 of 2009, consumer spending is contracting due to massive unemployment and stagnation or reduction in real wages." The economic crisis still rages. And Hillary and Obama want to give Libya millions.
March 2010: BP CEO Tony Hayward sold 223,288 shares of his BP stock - approximately one-third of his holding. That timely sale saved him about $619,000 when BP stock plunged after the spill. Lucky guy. Reportedly he paid off the mortgage on his "mansion."
Fast forward to the BP Gulf oil spill, April 2010.
The Post and Mail Rig-Gate - Bay of Rigs - Industry giants own the dispersants, including Al Gore, George Soros, Goldman Sachs and Warren Buffet - and is connected to the University of Chicago:
The real money is in the use of dispersements. There is a company called purchased NALCO.
NALCO is based in Chicago with subsidiaries in Brazil, Russia, India, China and Indonesia.
NALCO is associated with the University of Chicago Argonne program. The Obamas both worked for the University of Chicago. UChicago Argonne received $164,000,000 in stimulus funds this past year and just added two new executives to its roster: one from NALCO, the other from the Department of Education.
If you dig a little deeper you will find NALCO is also associated with Warren Buffett, Maurice Strong, Al Gore, Soros, Appollo, Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, Hathaway Berkshire.
Warren Buffet/Hathaway Berkshire increased their holding in NALCO just last November. (Timing is everything). The dispersant chemical is known as Corexit. What it does is hold the oil below the water's surface. It is supposed to break up the spill into smaller pools.
It is toxic and banned in Europe. NALCO says they are using older and newer versions of Corexit in the Gulf. (Why would you need a newer version, if the old one was fine?)
There are big money and even bigger players in this scam. While they are letting the oil blow wide open into the Gulf, the stakes and profit rise.
The dolphins, whales, manatees, sea turtles and fish suffocate and die. The coastal regions, salt marshes, tourist attractions and the shore front properties are being destroyed, possibly permanently. The air quality is diminished. The Gulf of Mexico fishing industry is decimated.
The stock of Corexit 9500 took an 18 percent jump after its use became public. Rodney F. Chase, former Deputy Group Chief Executive of BP is on the NALCO board of directors.
On Obama's trip to the Grand Isle on the Louisiana coast, his motorcade passed a building adorned with his portrait reminiscent of posters of him during his presidential campaign.Instead of "hope" or "change," the words "what now?" were on his forehead.
...the AP didn't mention the Jindal for President sign
This administration makes Watergate look like your kids birthday party. Follow the money to Obama's Bay of Rigs. (Sojourner, a reader at Maggie's Notebook left a tip in comments about this story - as I've said before, I love my readers.) Check out this blog talking about the fines BP will be hit with through the Clean Water Act, and why dispersants have been so handy for them. If the oil is "dispersed" it can't be counted.
Marco Rubio out-raised Charlie Crist in the first quarter of 2010 by $2.5 million. Crist began his fundraising efforts in the second quarter of 2009 raising $4.4 million. It was downhill from there. In the third quarter Crist brought in only half of the previous quarter - $2.5 million. By the fourth quarter, Rubio was close, raising $1.76 million to to Crist's $2.1 million. By the end of March 2010 Rubio's coffers were plush with $3.6 million to Crist's $1.1 million. But it makes no difference that Floridians can clearly distinguish a Conservative from a RINO - Senator John Cornyn and his committee of "Senatorial pickers" still support Crist.
Marco Rubio
Once again, can't help but think how misguided the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) can be, as they endorsed Crist practically before he was even running, and unfortunately continue to follow the error of their ways. NRSC chairman, Sen. John Cornyn said he is "honor-bound to leave it as it is." So Rubio joins other worthy and conservative candidates without support from their own Party.
Last Spring, the NRSC threw its support behind Crist...Cornyn defended the endorsement as "selfish." After meeting with former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who opted out of running for the seat, he said Crist was seen as "the ideal candidate" because he's a good fundraiser."
Florida Republicans passed controversial education reform which ends teacher tenure, and will pay teachers according to the achievement of their students - known as "merit pay." Florida teachers are not happy about it and they are pressuring Crist to veto the bill. Crist said no other issue has put as much pressure on him as this bill, passed by his own party. Early-on he supported the bill. Now he's not sure. He has to make a decision by Friday April 16th.
Crist said one of the most important things a public servant can do is "listen." He is listening, he says. The question is always, to whom are you listening? The people who want to clean up the schools, and want their children to learn, or the powerful Teacher's Union?
Jeb Bush has endorsed Marco Rubio "kinda-sorta." Some are theorizing that if Jeb comes out and publicly endorses Crist, Crist will let the bill pass. If not, then he vetoes the bill. This is a stellar reminder of why we do not want Floridians to send Charlie Crist to the U.S. Senate. His vote is always up for sale.
Rubio still trails Crist in total fundraising some $6.9 million to $10.1 million, so keep the funds rolling-in to Rubio. He will need it as we draw nearer to November. For some biographical background on Rubio, read this.
The shooter of Todd T. Brown has not been identified, but he appeared in front of the judge today for a decision on his detention. The murderer was also 14 years old. He was detained, and returned to the Neaves-Davis Detention Center, Madison County, Alabama. The state made a motion for the shooter to be charged as an adult.
In Memory of Todd Brown at Discovery Middle School
Todd Brown, 14, was standing in the hallway of his school, Discovery Middle School in Madison, Alabama, talking with other students, when the shooter, another ninth grader, and a Discovery student, walked up to him and shot him in the back of the head. He died in-hospital a short time later.
David Lemon at Clay to Bronze 2010 just sent this heads-up about an effort to be finalized in March, to change textbooks with changes like removing Daniel Boone, General George Patton, Nathan Hale, Columbus Day and Christmas. But how about this:
Replacing the term "American" with "Global Citizen"– stating that
students need to be shaped "for responsible citizenship in a global
society" without any mention of citizenship in American society.
Leftists Hijacking Textbooks
Graphic: Get the T-Shirt
Here it is in its entirety. If you are blogger, please blog it. If you missed Huckabee tonight, view it tomorrow (Sunday) at 8 pm EST:
This weekend Mathew D. Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty
Counsel and Dean of Liberty University School of Law, will appear on Mike Huckabee’s show
to discuss potentially dramatic changes to the framework of textbooks
that are being discussed by the Texas State Board of Education (TSBOE).
Huckabee and Staver will be revealing suggested changes, some of which
are still under discussion. The show will begin at 8:00 p.m. on
Saturday and 2:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, Eastern Time.
TSBOE will soon finalize the language that textbook publishers use
to align their textbooks to current standards. As Texas is a leader in
textbooks, most other states purchase the same educational materials.
The textbook controversy in Texas affects every American because, to
have a bright future, we must know our past. America has a rich past
founded on Judeo-Christian values and to forget them, or worse, to
distort them, will doom our future. Those who want to reshape America
begin by rewriting our past. We repeat the mistakes of the past when we
are ignorant of them.
Some of the suggestions that have come forward at various times include:
~ Removing references to Daniel Boone, General George Patton, Nathan Hale, Columbus Day, and Christmas.
~ Including the cultural impact of hip hop music, ACLU lawyer clarence Darrow, and the Hindu holiday of Diwali
~ Replacing the term "American" with "Global Citizen" - stating that students need to be shaped "for responsible citizenship in a gloval society" without any mention of citizenship in American society.
~ Replacing expansionism and free enterprise with imperialism and capitalism.
The Board's next meeting is in March and the final reading and adoption of the social studies guidelines will be in May.
Make your voice heard now, before the next meeting. Please call the board at 512-463-9734 and encourage them to promote traditional, pro-American language in their guidelines, or you may email them at sboeteks@tea.state.tx.us.
e placed The Holy Suit and Tie once again upon His body, and ascended once again to the Dome. There the assembled chapter of the Congress, the Holy Justices of the land, the members of the anointed Cabinet and guests from near and far sat awaiting His words. Unlike the year before, He wasn't popular. Every plan, every idea He had, was rejected by the people.
"We do not want your Cap and Trade, Health Care, or other Moonbat ideas. Your bowing down to dictators, despots and tyrants around the world does not put us at ease You have apologized to everyone for all the supposed evils that we were suspected of doing. You are getting ready to destroy our laws, by declaring the Holy Document invalid. We have heard enough lies from you, your dogs Emanuel, Axelrod, Pelosi and Reid. We've heard them all and we've learned a couple of things."
The Anointed One just smiled and then addressed the Nation:
short year ago I took office, but that is just a breeze in time. Look back upon our Founding Fathers, our struggles during the Civil War, the Depression. We did not flounder or despair. Nor did we despair through out the struggles of the Civil Rights Movement. And I will not despair now.
For I inherited a bad economy that was shaken to its core. I opposed all of the bailouts done, for I saw the harm they will do. My stimulus plan has created jobs in teaching, rescue, construction and other sectors.
We need Health Care now! I demand Congress to pass. Cap and Trade too. Forget about the Holy Document. There is too much to do.
I am a man of the people, representative of the Middle Class, My values are the same as yours. I love this country so much I would never bad name it. But we did wrong with the Muslim world, and other places too. I said to them I am sorry, there is nothing you can do.
I said I would create jobs, and that I will do. For every man and woman. New industries, new factories, Red, White, Blue, and Green. We must compete with China, Korea, and Germany too. This we must excel in if we are going to continually survive.
I will eliminate the nukes of the world, starting with our own. For did not the Great Reagan of old try to achieve this very goal.
People through out the land write to Me with their problems. A businessman in Denver*, or in Philadelphia, a teacher in the city, the cop on the beat, a child who wants to know why Mommy and Daddy lost their jobs, another who just lost his home. I read all their letters, I know all their problems, and I will solve them all.
I could go on all night, but that will do no good at all. I promised you Hope and Change, and did not lie to you on that, for I am not President #43.
And after The Anointed One had finished His speech, His followers were full of glee. For they just knew that once again He had saved the day.
But from right across the river, from the city of Richmond in the land of Virginia, came a new prophet from the right. Bob The Wise McDonnell.
The Prophet spoke of those with a job, how 1 in 10 lost theirs.
He spoke of the despair the nation felt, of how the economy was gone.
He spoke of the need for smaller government, how The Anointed One did spend.
He said that the time for spending cuts and freezes were last year, not when your polling number has shown you have failed.
The Prophet McDonnell told the people that it isn't too late.
That the time has come to sit and wait,
So The Anointed One could not shove His agenda down our throats.
He told the assembled people and media the truth.
And our solutions aren't 1,000-page bills that no one has fully read,
After being crafted behind closed doors with special interests.
In fact, many of our proposals are available online at solutions.gop.gov, and we welcome your ideas on Facebook and Twitter.
He told them this and more.
And through it all, the world went on, the nation will endure.
The GOP got Teddy's seat, they can get more they will.
For the people have seen the truth, heard the lies and broken promises.
Unlike those on the left, the right will not just yell.
They are the ones, in Midterm years, come out in droves to vote.
Reid, Frank and Boxer, plus many more are running scared tonight.
For the GOP has the will, the drive and the clout,
To drive the Moonbats back into the dark.
We just have to wait for November to do it!
* The President mentioned many people in his speech, but none by name, nor did he recognize any of them in the balcony (he only recognized his wife). Could it be they are all named: Ellie Light?
Blogger Gary Fouse is an adjunct teacher at UC-Irvine. If you have visited his blog at fousesquawk you know that he regularly keeps us informed on the unbelievably astounding antics of academia. Gary is known for ringing the bell on the Muslim influence on the campus of UC-Irvine, and keeps a keen eye on Islam around the world. In this article, he highlights the forcing of faculty and staff to contribute to political causes they find "highly objectional."
"Whaddaya mean youse don't support the Palestinians?"
One of Gary's latest articles is on the political activism of the California Faculty Association. He has granted permission to reprint it. Friends, these are things we need to know.
I am posting an article on American Thinker by my colleague,
Leila Beckwith, Professor Emeritus at UCLA, on the political abuses
being carried out by the California Faculty Association, which includes
compulsory dues by non-union teachers and the use of funds to promote
political causes-like the Palestinian cause and the anti-Israel cause.
I have had the pleasure of meeting Professor Beckwith. She is one of
the saner voices to be found at UCLA. I have also passed on this
article to the Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation for their
information. Read Prof. Beckwith's American Thinker article here.
State employee unions are one of the main causes that have brought
California to the point of bankruptcy. This article is also well-timed
when you consider that the Democrats in Congress are presently
attempting to pass "Card-Check" legislation that would make it
increasingly difficult for workers to avoid union coercion and union
membership. Never mind. Our present government is doing every thing in
its power to increase the numbers and power of unions.
In this case, I first think it is outrageous that if a worker chooses
not to join a union, they still have to have wages deducted to go to
said union. It is even more outrageous that unions involve themselves
in political and international affairs, using members dues to promote
political causes that members may not agree with.
In addition, would someone please explain to me why a teachers union in
California needs something called a Peace and Justice committee? What's
that all about? And what does the Israel/Palestinian conflict have to
do with California teachers?
As professor Beckwith explains, the CFA simply creates such a committee
and appoints people with the appropriate (leftist) point of view. So
they appoint this professor of Latin American history (Liberation
Theology, no less)as its head, one Manzar Faroohar, who is, naturally,
an activist against the Israeli state.
So there you are all you teachers in the California State University
system who are members of the CFA or have to pay dues anyway. This is
where your money goes. If you are Jewish and/or support the Israeli
state's right to exist and defend itself from terrorists, you are
paying to support the other side. What does all that have to do with
improving education-in a state where education is a national disgrace
at the secondary level and is vastly overrated at the university level
because of the dominance of left-wing loons in the professorships?
Nothing.
Fortunately for me, as an adjunct teacher at UC-Irvine, I don't have to
join any union or pay them one dime. The day that changes, I am gone. I
have never belonged to a union in my life, and I intend to keep that
record intact to the end. I just hope that those employees who are
impacted by this disgrace read Professor Beckwith's article, know their
rights, and act upon them.
Frank M. Lombard, the Duke University pedophile father of two adoptive black sons has apparently accepted "guilt" for his crime and a plea agreement will be announced on December 17th.
Frank M. Lombard
According to the Herald Sun, an "information" was filed on December 1st in Washington D.C.:
The filing of an information, since it implies the defendant's
acceptance of guilt, typically means that a plea agreement is imminent.
The one-page information that Lombard will acknowledge today states
that he forced a minor to "engage in sexually explicit conduct ... for
the purpose of transmitting a live visual depiction of such conduct."
The sentence for sexual exploitation of a minor is generally around 15 years....
According to the original arrest warrant, Lombard allegedly told an
undercover police officer that he had sexually molested the child
himself multiple times.
It is unbelievable to me that Lombard will spend only 15 years behind bars for the terrible things he did to his own boy. The adopted child that Lombard admittedly molested was just 5-years-old at the time of Lombard's arrest. We do not know how long the child endured this horrible environment in his own home, with another adoptive father and Duke University employee, Kenneth Shipp, who says he knew nothing at all about Lombard's rape of their own child.
The FBI's sting reports said that Lombard told a prison inmate that he drugged the boy with benedryl to keep him quiet and that his crime was much easier when the boy was not old enough to talk.
Until now, the media has been repugnantly silent about Lombard. I have a lot of material about Lombard, his neighborhood, the neighborhood developer and what life might have been like for this little boy. As far as I know, no one is reporting that these children might be safe now, receiving the mericiful counseling they deserve to help them get on with their lives.
If you are not familiar with the Frank M. Lombard case, links to all the background are below, including FBI reports and the words of the prison inmate to watched, live, Lombard rape his own child. Do you think 15 years is justice for these children?
Frank Lombard, the father who raped his own adopted child, molested his own child on live camera for the enjoyment of a prison inmate, and offered his child to a stranger to do the same, has finally been fired from Duke University.
Frank M. Lombard
While we've waited for Duke to do something, we now hear that Duke officials are cooperating with police and FBI.
Reports are that Lombard is charged with "attempting to induce someone to cross state lines to engage in a sexual offense." So far, I have seen no mention of charges of child rape, child molestation, or child abuse. This originally from heraldsun.southernheadlines.com
DURHAM -- The Duke University official charged with soliciting adults over the Internet to have sex with a 5-year-old boy told an undercover police officer that he had sexually molested the child himself multiple times, according to an arrest warrant.
If you are not familiar with the case, related links are listed below, but here's the terrible and short story: Frank Lombard was a Duke University professor. He was an Associate Director of the Center for Health Policy at Duke. He is believed to have adopted two Black boys. The child involved in this case is 5-years-old. There is no information as to the child's age at the time the abuse began.
Lombard lives with his partner, Ken Shipp, also a Duke employee at 24 Indigo Creek Trail in a planned community, Eno Commons, Durham, N.C. It is believed that North Carolina law allows only one gay or lesbian parent to legally be an adoptive parent, so Shipp's role within the family is unclear. Lombard was caught in an internet sting with a video chat with an undercover officer.
A search warrant filed for Lombard's house further outlines the case against him and includes a transcript of the chat between an undercover officer and "F.L."
In the chat, "F.L.” told the officer that abusing the child was "easier when he was too young to know what was happening and when he couldn't talk ...He had a little too much Benadryl. Was knocked out."
In a subsequent online chat, the warrant says, “F.L.” invited the officer to fly to Durham to have sexual contact with the child. He even suggested a hotel.
Lombard faces a federal charge of attempting to induce someone to cross state lines to engage in a sexual offense. He was being held without bond at the Durham County jail Friday. A conviction would carry a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
Another inmate has told authorities that he witnessed "F.L." also known as cooper2 or cooperese, molest his son on live camera.
It is believed that Lombard is in a Durham, N.C. jail awaiting extradition to Washington, D.C.
Back to the charges. Maybe the snitch is being vetted. That's the only reason I can think of that would preclude charges for raping and molesting your own little boy. While he "pimped" his child across state lines, in my book that pales in comparison to what he, himself, did to his own child.
Lombard, 42, is charged by complaint with a violation of 18 USC 2242(a); an offense that could result in a maximum sentence of 20 years.
From the press release, and about the snitch:
The complaint alleges Task Force members were told by a confidential source that he/she had witnessed on three or four occasions an individual, alleged to be Lombard, performing oral sex and other sex acts on a child believed to be under the age of ten. The confidential source indicted he was told that others had sexually molested the child. The source was also told that the individual’s live-in, male partner had not participated in the sexual abuse. The complaint alleges that Lombard subsequently told an MPD detective, posing on line as an interested party, that he had performed multiple sexual acts on his 5-year-old adopted child and that that the task force member could do the same if he flew to the Raleigh/Durham area. A warrant for Lombard’s arrest was then obtained.
This is the first time I've read that the snitch was told [allegedly by Lombard] that the little boy had been made available to others in the past.
One of the earlier reports on former Duke University professor, Frank Lombard showed a complaint of Lombard saying he was "into incest." This is some two years before he was finally jailed for allegedly raping, molesting, and attempting to offer his adopted 5-year-old son for sex to a stranger. In addition to these terrible crimes against his child, he molested him on camera in online chat and video sessions.
ICUii also shared with the FBI a complaint filed in January 2007 against Frank Lombard from another user. That user alleged Lombard said he "was into incest" and had adopted two African-American children, the affidavit says.
In the June 2009 online chat that put Lombard in jail, the undercover police officer chatting with Lombard reports the following:
F.L." [Frank Lombard] described specific sex acts he had performed on a 5-year-old child and said that he lived in Durham.
In the chat transcript, WRAL reports, "F.L." is asked how he got access to a child so young. "Adopted," he replied, and said that the process was "not so hard ... esp (sic) for a black boy."
In the chat, "F.L." told Palchak that abusing the child was "easier when he was too young to know what was happening and when he couldn't talk ...He had a little too much Benadryl. Was knocked out."
Frank Lombard, the Duke University professor who raped and molested his five-year-old son and offered him up for others to do the same, had a public wish list of books and DVD's on Amazon. Amazon has scrubbed that list and I'm asking why?
Frank Lombard
I'm also asking if it is possible to hack an Amazon wish list or create the list in some one else's name?
Here are at least some of the books on Lombard's list taken directly from the pdf I created yesterday at Amazon. The list of books follow the list of DVD's. Too bad you can't see the DVD covers. They tell their own story. I wonder if the "boys" pictured are of legal age?

Sherri Zann Rosenthal is the developer of the communal cohousing development where Frank Lombard, the Duke University professor and gay pedophile rapist dad lives with his partner Kenneth Shipp. Shipp is also a staff member at Duke University.
Sherri Zann Rosenthal
Sherri Zann Rosenthal's Zann Developments LLC created Eno Commons where Frank Lombard and his partner, Kenneth Shipp live. She is a city attorney in Durham, N.C. where this awful scene is playing out. Rosenthal is an openly gay activist, and her partner, Daya Breckinridge is on the Nursing school staff at Duke University and owns 'Yoga in the Hood' studio.
In a webpage describing Eno Commons says this:
People of all ages, races, religious beliefs, and affectional preferences are invited to make Eno Commons their home.
Open to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and/or Transgender members
Restrictions on Romantic Relationships (between consenting adults): No
Eno Commons
There are 22 households in Eno Commons consisting of 38 adults. There are 22 children, of which 11% "identify as 'people of color' (all are children)." The website directs the reader to an article in IndyWeek which interviews gay and lesbian parents about the legal travails of being same-sex parents. The article is centered around Cathy Surles and Kelly Rimer and their two adopted boys. The Surles-Rimer family lives in Eno Commons.
I know you remember that Durham and Duke University were in the Nation's headlights for a couple of years after some Duke Lacrosse players were accused of raping an "exotic dancer." In the end, the young men were cleared and all charges were dropped, MSM driveled to a drip when the men were exonerated, and we have little press on Lombard and his son...even though some working for the city and some working for Duke seem to have connections.
Sherri Zann Rosenthal works in the Durham City Attorney's Office. Her position is unclear. At times I've read that she is a an assistant City Attorney. Tracey Cline became the first Black and first woman to be elected as Durham District Attorney. She was second chair to Mike Nifong, the District Attorney at the time, who tried his darndest to take the Lacrosse players to trial.
Cline claimed that she knew absolutely nothing about Nifong railroading the defendents in the rape case, but who believes that? She was the backup prosecutor, and she won the election for District Attorney anyway.
Also listed as a part of the Durham city offices is Sharon A. Thompson of the Sharon Thompson Law Group. She is heavily involved with gay and lesbian parents.
Then we move to Duke University where the nursing program was front and center with medical evidence used against the Lacrosse players. As a supposed-victim, Crystal Magnum claimed she was raped, was treated at the Duke University Medical Center. It's confusing and I'm just going to skim the surface, but a nurse there was rushed through receiving certain credentials (SANE) to allow her to testify against the Lacrosse players. Her name is Tara Livecy. She was charged with giving false and misleading evidence, or something close to that.
The Duke University Medical Center was implicated for "breaching it's duties."
Whether connected or not, I have to ask, what in the world is going on in Durham and at Duke? Frank Lombard worked for Duke before his arrest. He is now on leave and you can't find him anywhere on the University's website.
His gay partner, Kenneth Shipp works at Duke. Daya Breckenbridge, Sherri Zann Rosenthal's lesbian partner works for Duke. Was her nursing supervisor possibly Theresa Arico - also implicated in the charges against Tara Livecy?
And we find that Lombard and Shipp live in the commune developed by Rosenthal, advertised to be welcoming to all manner of gender and sexual descriptions - and where children live in "paradise."
Where is Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton? Surely they are outraged at what this White guy did to this little Black boy. Come on Reverends! Let's hear what you have to say.
