China's Trade Deficit - A Chance to Get Even?

Findalis' Monkey in the Middle reports that "China is down to 12 days worth of coal," and muses that this is an opportunity for the U.S.

An AP headline this morning: "China calls for help on climate change"
China called on the international community Thursday to increase the flow of technology to developing countries to help them fight climate change. Minister of Science and Technology Wan Gang said developed nations "need to establish a mechanism for technological transfer" of environmentally friendly technology so developing countries can afford them.
Reject the U.N. posted on California's recently signed "compact" with the United Nations in China to "share ideas and research" on cleaning up China's air. Findalis' Monkey in the Middle raises a hot button issue. Will the U.S. take advantage of China's calls for help and even-out the trade deficit with this Communist country that clearly never has the best interests of any free country in mind?
