Gallup Republican Lead Highest Ever: GOP Gallup Lead Historic

Gallup's generic polling shows Republicans in a 49%-43% lead over Democrats. It's "historic" folks. "Historic" as in never before have Republicans held a 6% lead over Democrats in a generic poll. Can that be true? Have Republicans really been that unpopular through the years, or is it just the fact that Gallup is doing the polling? Sources here and here.

Lest there be any misunderstanding, I am in no way saying we have the fight won in November. In fact, just the opposite. I just found it "unique" that Gallup would call this poll "historical" (or is it histrionic?)

Snarky Basterd at Feed Your ADHD left a link in comments, that needs discussing. The link details the challenges Conservatives will be up against in November. It has little to do with the worth of the candidate on either side. It has everything to do with the "machine" that again will be on the streets and in the polling places for Obama. Organizing for America (OFA) is already in high gear. SEIU has promised to spend $100 million for Democrat candidates (yet we are bailing out their pension funds). ACORN will come at us under whatever their new names are. Nothing will change. We can expect fraud, deception and intimidation. We need to volunteer in our communities - and especially in the polling places.

Read OFA Peril: Ignore at our own risk, note how OFA handled new Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown, and follow the link to Anita Moncreif's article. We know how Obama's "machine" works. If we ignore it, we risk everything.
