Palin: Murkowski Goes Low, Attacks Joe Miller's Military Record

Sarah Palin, "The" Mama Grizzly, said Senator Lisa Murkowski dishonored herself by attacking Republican candidate for Lisa's senate seat, Joe Miller's military record. Actually Palin said she had "never seen a candidate stoop so low," as Murkowski did in Monday night's debate. See the video below.

But perhaps the most shocking part of all in this debate was when the incumbent Senator used Joe Miller’s distinguished military service as a means to attack him. Joe Miller graduated from West Point, fought in Desert Storm, and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service to our country. I find it astonishing that a sitting U.S. Senator from Alaska would challenge the honor of a decorated combat veteran.
Thanks to Murkowski, the incumbent who lost in the primaries, but nevertheless is running as a write-in candidate, Miller is facing a three-way race. Another Republican (Murkowski) setting a Constitutional-Congress up for failure. She is only barely Republican, as demonstrated by GovTrack:

Sarah makes a critical point out of Murkowski's Liberal-ways: Amnesty: yes! Border fence: no! Come on Alaska, why would you vote for that?

Palin:
I’ve seen some pretty ugly campaigning, and what they’re throwing at Joe right now is nasty. Joe’s opponents can’t run on the issues because they’re wrong on them – whether it’s repealing and de-funding Obamacare, fighting against cap-and-tax, protecting our borders, or pushing hard for responsible resource development. They can’t win in a fair fight on the issues, so they sling mud...
The sitting Senator also came out against Arizona’s right to protect its borders. She called for us to “enforce the laws that are currently on the books,” but didn’t seem to understand that that is precisely what Arizona is trying to do to protect itself because the federal government refuses to enforce our laws. Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised by her lackadaisical attitude to border security when we consider that she has repeatedly voted against funding a border fence and voted in favor of amnesty.
Here's the attack on Joe Miller, and listen as Murkowski says Miller "is not fit to lead."

Libertarians Keep Scott Kohlhass: Murkowski Not the Libertarian Candidate: NRSC Goes Home - Almost

Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski (R) is in an almost dead-heat tie (but not quite) with Republican Joe Miller for Murkowski's Senate seat. A counting of absentee ballots, ballots with validity problems and early ballots starts tomorrow with Miller holding the lead with about 2 points. Speculations have been rampant that the Libertarian Party might drop their current nominee in favor of Murkowski but after an emergency meeting, announced today they will stay with their candidate, Scott Kohlhass, the Party Chairman.

Joe Miller and Lisa Murkowski

Approximately 20,000-25,000 ballots remain uncounted. Miller leads by 1,668 votes.  In the meantime, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) rushed to aid Murkowski, now says it will pull out of the state, leaving behind only an attorney who is still working on Murkowski's behalf. Joe Miller isn't much comforted by the news, and asks who "employed" the attorney.

Despite Senator Jon Cornyn's assurance that the vote count will not be tampered with, Miller is not convinced:
Despite Cornyn's assurance, though, Miller is still not convinced attempts to "skew" the election have ended. He said there "certainly is an effort to skew the results" in favor of Murkowski. Miller, an attorney and Iraq war veteran, said national operatives are still in the state, but he is not sure who employs them.
Murkowski did not approach the Libertarian Party about the possibility of becoming their candidate. A newly released Public Policy Polling survey indicated that Murkowski would far well in November as the Libertarian candidate. Libertarians, however, say there are fundamental differences between Murkowski and the Libertarian platform.
The poll said that in the three-way race, Miller received 38 percent, Murkowski received 34 percent and Democratic nominee Scott McAdams received 22 percent...
The news is also a major boost for Democrats and McAdams, who the poll showed had a much better change in the race against Miller if Murkowski is not a cnadidate. The survey also showed Miller leading McAdams, 47 percent to 39 percent.
Palin-endorsed Joe Miller was considered a long-shot even with the Cuda's golden touch. No one expected Miller to oust sitting-Senator Murkowski. The good news for Murkowski is that the majority of uncounted votes, or at least the number she needs to retain her seat may, indeed, be found among the those ballots.

Lisa Murkowski Joe Miller: NRSC in Alaska for Murkowski: Joe Miller Promises a Watchful Arizona Recount

Palin-endorsed Republican Joe Miller running against sitting Senator from Alaska, Lisa Murkowski, says the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) may be meddling in the results of the primary held Tuesday, August 25th. Votes are still being counted, and Murkowski called on the NRSC to come to her aid - which the NRSC explains is simply "dispatching" their general counsel "to guide the state through the process of counting absentee ballots." Hilariously, Alaska Party Republicans supporting Murkowski are holding on to the hope that the absentee ballots were cast BEFORE the last Tea Party gathering. Not only are Democrats fearing Tea Party candidates, establishment Republicans are trembling in their wingtips too.

Joe Miller and Sarah Palin

Before Tuesday, anyone on the outside looking in didn't think Miller had a prayer of ending up in the U.S. Senate. The Left had already written the headlines: "Palin Power Waning." It was all too delicious for the lame-stream propaganda squad, and then the almost-worst-possible-thing happened - Sarah's candidate, Joe Miller, had a small lead and...and...held it right to the end. Murkowski must win 3 of every 5 absentee votes to return to the Senate, unless she decides to run as the Libertarian Party nominee, which she is apparently considering - but likely only after a full recount.

From Swampland:
Miller criticized not just the NRSC, but also the RNC. Asked why he ran as a Republican and not an independent, he said his problem was not with the party's platform.
"But the leadership of the party has fled so far from that platform -- it's not even funny. This is an accountability issue," he said. "I am for the platform. What I see in the leadership of the RNC, what I see across this country is basically an embracing of big government, entitlement spending and basically getting as far away from the platform on every fiscal and social issue that you can -- you can believe."
Lisa Murkowski is a "moderate" Republican and any Republican (with about three exceptions) is better than none, but perhaps we have the opportunity for a more constitutional conservative. The Democrat opponent is Scott McAdams, and so far, there is no Alaskan fire burning under his campaign. So here we go into another recount, between two Republicans and once again, the NRSC is in the middle of a race between a conservative and a moderate. I'm hoping the NRSC will maintain some degree of integrity and do what they say they are doing: assuring a fair recount.

Lisa Murkowski Joe Miller: Palin Endorsed Joe Miller Wins Seat for Senate from Alaska

Unless votes appear from an unknown source, Joe Miller, a Sarah Palin-endorsed Republican for Lisa Murkowski's seat in the U.S. Senate has won the Republican primary. Listening to Larry Sabato right now on Fox saying all the uncounted votes are not enough to send Murkowski back to Washington, D.C. Ninety-eight percent of the votes have been counted, according to Sabato. A win for Miller has not been officially announced, so my disclaimer is this: if Miller does not win, he came perilously close for Murkowski.

Joe Miller

Here is a classic Palin tweet [current time 11:10 a.m. CDT]:
9 hours ago: Keeping fingers crossed, powder dry, prayers upward...
Press and pundits have gleefully said Sarah is losing her clout, even in her own State. Murkowski was expected to win the Primary with a double-digit win.

Doing a search engine search for "Joe Miller wins Alaska Senate Primary," I see no msm media reporting the story, other than the Washington Post hedging their bets. Today the MSM is in mourning, learning the hard lesson that Sarah Palin supports the sames values and principles that freedom-loving Americans support.

Read about and Lisa Murkowski and Joe Miller, who is an attorney and a decorated Gulf War veteran, at Cassy Fiano's.
