Coakley Memo Blames Washington Dems

A memo written by a Coakley adviser blames Washington, D.C. Dems for screwing up her 20 point lead in December. It is obvious that Martha Coakley can't act on her own, think on her own and certainly not campaign on her own.

Contributions didn't come in early enough, but that's not the only gripe of the Coakley campaign. They are blaming a sharp drop in the polls on the the December passing of health care, the Christmas Eve underpants bomber, and Senator Ben Nelson's ugly stunt and subsequent payoff.

Senator Nelson's actions specifically hurt Coakley who was forced to backtrack on her opposition to the abortion restriction amendment.

Democrats concerns with Obama's Afghanistan plan forced Coakley to oppose the Afghan war in the primary, which hurt her in the general.

Claims about Coakley's Scant Campaigning and Miscues Were Exaggerated

Poor Marcia. Democrats wouldn't raise money for her, so she had to do it herself - devoting significant time to doing it herself, and because of the lack of fundraising, she could not release television ads in a timely manner.

And perhaps the funniest: Brown "capitalized" on Democrat health care, cap and trade and tax increases.

Read it all here.
