Obamas Cairo Speech Taken From Imam Feisal Raufs Book: Feisal Rauf Courted Mayor Bloomberg

Iman Feisal Rauf said Barack Obama used a chapter of his book to write his Arab-lauded Cairo speech. Rauf said "entire parts" of his book were transferred to Obama's speech by "one of those who participated in writing the speech." The speech writer is not named. Rauf made this admission speaking in Arabic. He also said he "courted" New York City Michael Bloomberg. Jihad is alive and well in New York City and the Oval Office. Rauf's book has one self-admitted goal in mind - getting the West to accept Muslim countries with their jihad and their Shariah law. Note below that Rauf expects the West, including our Government, our teachers and our press to make the way for Islam.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf

According to the imam, his book outlines what the Christian community, Jewish community, educators, the media and THE U.S. GOVERNMENT must do for Muslim countries to have "good relations with America."

From Web Today quoting Feisal Adbud Rauf (find a link to the audio at Web Today):
"For example, in my book in the Arabic version page 293, what did I write? What are the things that the United States Needs to do. If you examine this chapter you will find that the Obama speech in Cairo was all taken from this section [Section 6]..."
The clue was revealed while Rauf was answering a question regarding President Barack Obama's speech in which Rauf replied:
"The speech was wonderful and wise in this choice of words, the Prime Minister of Malaysia after the speech disclosed to me that it is now easy for any president of a Muslim country to establish good relations with America, and I am not going to hide from you that one of those who participated in writing the speech, transferred entire parts of my book 'A new Vision for Muslims and the West, which he referred to U.S. interests being compatible with top interests of the Muslim world."
Rauf speaks of courting Bloomberg and the Jewish community. This article written by Walid Shoebat reminds us that Imam Rauf speaks in a very moderate and peaceful tone when speaking to Western audiences, but that tone changes when speaking to Arabic speakers "exposing him as a direct supporter of terrorism, both financially and verbally." Walid Shoebat is a former terrorist and the author of Why I Left Jihad, Why We Want to Kill You, and God's War on Terror. He is an American citizen and lives in the U.S.

Magdi Khalil and Abdallah al-Hadlaq Support Israel's Stopping the Flotilla

Magdi Khalil is an Eqyptian-American writer and Abdallah al-Hadlaq is a Kuwaiti journalist. On Al Jazeera TV Khalil blamed increased hostility toward Israel on Western anarchists and said Arab discourse has fueled "illusions and hatred."  Abdallah al-Hadlaq, a Kuwaiti journalist writing in Al-Watan, supported Israel's stopping of the terror flotilla. Both men maintain that it was well-know the flotilla was not peaceful.

Magdi Khalil

Magdi Khalil's June 15th appearance on Al-Jazeera TV - a contentious interview - he noted the terrorist connections of the flotilla, which includes The Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief (IHH). Khalil calls IHH "a terrorist organization."

From MEMRI:
Magdi Khalil: Whenever there is an incident, Israel does 'damage control.' This is part of the Israeli defense tactics. These are successful people, not like Ahmadinejad, who said that Security Council Resolution 1929 should be thrown into the garbage bin. They deal with things seriously. These people know the meaning of world opinion.
And here, Khalil also blames "leftist anarchists in the West" for renewed hostility toward Israel by the West.
Magdi Khalil: The Islamists, along with the leftist anarchists in the West and some neo-Nazis, have renewed the hostility towards Israel and the West.
The interviewer tries to quiet Khalil, but it doesn't work, as he points out that the number of people killed in Arab police stations is much higher than those killed in Israeli-Arab wars. (yes, he said "wars.")

Politics and Capitalism quotes Khalil chiding Israel for actually believing the Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan's characterization of the flotilla activists as "peaceful people." Khalil said simply, the Turkish PM is an "Islamist" and should not be trusted.

Abdallah Al-Hadlaq, writing that the organizers were supporters of "the terroristic Hamas," Hizbullah, al-Qaeda and Global Jihad, Abdallah Al-Hadlaq said the flotilla was "a pre-planned provocation against Israel," and the [Israeli] soldiers had no choice but to respond." Investigative Project quotes him saying "the world is obsessed" with Gaza while ignoring other important world events, and there is a double standard when it comes to Israel:

Hadlaq explains that there is a "terrible silence, lack of consideration, and indifference that has overcome the world…with regard to more important and more valuable [issues] that merit attention far more than this murky piece of land called the Gaza Strip."
Iran is specifically pointed out by Abdallah. Read the story at Investigative Project on Terrorism and The Elder of Ziyon.

This CAMERA (Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America) blog quotes Abdallah al-Hadlaq responding to a Breaking the Silence condemnation of Israel, saying he rejects Gaza's many and varying accusations war crimes committed by Israel, saying the IDF follows international law and obeys order "despite the stress of battle."
However these allegations are to be rejected because the IDF has proved that its troops follow international law and obey orders despite the stress of battle. These testimonies lack sourcing or corroboration, thus preventing any conclusions from being drawn... Furthermore, it was the ostracized Hamas that caused much grief when it fired dozens of Qassam missiles at innocent civilians in the southern towns and villages of Israel. The IDF had no choice but to fight back causing the deaths of 1400 Palestinians, half of them civilians used as human shields by Hamas, in addition to the 5,000 wounded. Israel lost just 10 soldiers and 3 civilians.
I find this very encouraging, and hope these two men can live their lives to a ripe old ages, but I can hear the fatwas now.

Egypt Strips Citizenship from Men Married to Jews: A Touch of Hitler's Hand

Egypt and Israel have had a tentative peace for thirty years. It has mostly worked. Now as the world, including the U.S. moves to isolate Israel, Egypt is emboldened and joins the fray in a very big way. Egyptian men married to Jews of Jewish descent will be stripped of their citizenship. I feel a distinct touch of Hitler's hand, here.

Map of Israel 2010

Some 30,000 Egyptian men are married to Jewish women. About 10 percent of the 30,000 are Arab Jews, who are not included in this latest legal dictum. Egyptian men married to Israeli women will lose their Egyptian citizenship. Their children will not be allowed to serve in the Egyptian military.  Does anyone think the discrimination will stop here?

Now that the U.S. has signed the United Nation's Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), and singled out Israel to rid their nuclear arsenal, Barack Obama signaled Islamic nations that he is, indeed, on their side. Obama has paved the way for the elimination of Israel.

The language of the NPT calls on Israel to sign the Treaty. It does not call for other nuclear nations, India, Pakistan, and North Korea to de-nuke, or to sign.

Take a look at the map above. Israel's borders are a nightmare to defend. The enemy is everywhere. With Gaza and with the Golan Heights, defense becomes easier for Israelis.

Today, Egypt is embolden, and this move to wipe out the citizenship married to Jewish women is a terrible tolling bell. Without the support of the U.S. for Israel, the entire Middle East will be feeling their Wheaties pita and hummus.

In May 1948, eleven minutes after the Unites States recognized the State of Israel, neighboring nations, including Egypt, invaded the new sovereign nation. By July 1949, Egypt had taken control of Gaza from the "proposed Palestinian state." By Fall 1949, Jordan controlled Gaza.

In 1956, Israel has Gaza again, but again gives it up.

In Spring 1967, some 500,000 troops, including Egypt, surrounded the tiny piece of land know as Israel. Israel's water was cut off. In May, Egypt set up a sea blockade of Israeli ships.
Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Jordan and Saudi Arabia formed a "defense pact." Egyptian President Nasser said "Our basic objective will be the destruction if Israel.
In June 1967, Israel found it necessary to defend their homeland from its neighboring armies of 500,000.
After a three days of fierce fighting, especially in and around Jerusalem, Israeli forces defeated the Jordanians and gained control of all of Jerusalem as well as the West Bank, the historical heartland of the Jewish people known to Israelis as Judea and Samaria. Following an air attack by the Syrians on the first day of the war, Israel dealt a shattering blow to the Syrian air force. ...on fifth day of the war, the Israelis mustered enough forces to remove the Syrian threat from the Golan Heights. This difficult operation was completed the following day, bringing the active phase of the war to a close.
In return for peace with Egypt, Israel returned the Sinai, but once again has control of Gaza (which The League of Nations mandated). Israel stayed in Gaza this time.

In October 1973 Israel's neighbors again surrounded the Jewish nation. Israel retook the Golan Heights. By the time the useless U.N. ceasefire was put in place, Israel had surrounded the Egyptian Third Army.

By 1979 Egypt and Israel sign another peace treaty, known to most Americans as The Camp David accords.

In 1993, Israel once again gave up the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. In 2005 the withdrawal was "official."

Today, with a peace treaty between Israel and Egypt still in place, Egypt has decided to revoke the citizenship of Egyptian men because they are married to an abhorrent Jew. The report says nothing about Egyptian women married to Israeli men. Perhaps the women were officially exiled at the time of the marriage. After all, they are only Muslim women. We will do well to think about the avenues used by the Nazi's to cull out the Jews. Here we go again. Will we ignore it again?

Israelis Warned to Get Out of the Sinai Now!

On Tuesday, Israelis were warned to get out of Egypt's Sinai Peninsula...now. Israel's Counter-Terrorism Bureau warned of plans to kidnap Israeli nationals and smuggle them to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah tunnels I've mentioned several times.

Israel, the Sinai Peninsula and The Red Sea

In a very unusual move, Brigadier-General Nitzan Nuriel, the head of the Counter-Terrorism Bureau asked this:
Families of Israelis now in Sinai are requested to make contact and update them of this travel warning."
The Bureau issued warnings before Passover and asked Israelis not to travel to the area:
Despite the warning, Israel's Airports Authority recorded a 36% jump in the number of Israelis traveling to Sinai this Passover compared to last. Some 20,000 Israelis passed through Israel's souther border during the holiday.
How can that be explained???
Despite the Bureau warnings, few Israelis were seen leaving Sinai through the central border crossing in Taba.

From YNetNews:
Nuriel [Brigadier-General Nitzan Nuriel] added that Israel believes that whatever organization is behind the latest abduction warning, it is being operated by Hamas, adding that an adbucted Israeli may end up being tranfferred to Gaza via Rafah's tunnels...
New and up-to-date intelligence information accumuated, and it points to a terror cell completing its preparations, marking a target, receiving the green light, and carrying out the act -- or en route to carrying it out," he said

Rumors are already spreading that some Israelis have been kidnapped, although the rumors have not been confirmed.

This report says thousands of Israelis routinely vacation along the Red Sea coast [the one that Moses parted].

Egypt Mubarak Denies Israel: Israel Egypt Peace Treaty

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak confirmed the need of the free world to turn the backside of freedom on oppressive and murderous Islamic regimes, no longer offering the respect of "recognizing" them as sovereign, until they return the favor to their neighbors. Islam will not live happily or even grumpily with freedom, and certainly not if any form of "respect" is a condition of that living.

Hosni Mubarak
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did well the job of a besieged leader this week. He "led" with his policy speech on June 14th, and raised the mantle of the existing peace treaty with Egypt and Jordan:
If we join hands and work together for peace, together with our neighbors, there is no limit to the development and prosperity we can achieve for our two peoples in economy, trade, agriculture, tourism and education. Fortunately, Egypt and Jordan have left this circle of enmity. The signing of peace treaties with them have brought about and end of their claims against Israel, an end to the conflict, bringing peace.
As Israel offered a leg-up to technology, agriculture, trade, education and safety for all the people in the area, Arabs who can't provide anything of any value for themselves or anyone else, said they were "outraged." In true I-am-great-Arab-man mode, Egypt's Mubarak joined the choir as he said the demand that Palestinians recognize Israel as the Jewish homeland "ruined the chance for peace." So this fight that Mubarak brought to the forefront has nothing to do with Netanyahu's demand for a demilitiarized Palestinian state. It has to do with "recognizing" Israel as a state and as the Jewish homeland. Well, Muslims cannot have that, even if "recognizing" Israel is exactly what Egypt treatied to do when they signed the Israel-Egypt peace treaty in 1979. Taken directly from the Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty, is this:
Article III (1) a They recognize and will respect each other's right to live in peace within their secure and recognized boundaries; (1) b They recognize and will respect each other's right to live in peace within their secure and recognized boundaries (3) The Parties agree that the normal relationship established between them will include full recognition, ...
The agreement was signed by the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Government of the State of Israel. That's the "State" of Israel. When Egyptian President Anwar Sadat signed the agreement with Israel, he was not agreeing to recognize Jews in Brooklyn, so what is Mubarak talking about? There are a few things to remember about the 30-year-old peace treaty. For one thing, Egypt came to the table because Israel took them to a very uncomfortable woodshed and rendered them whupped-upon in the worst way. They couldn't believe the beating they got at the behest of the tiny start-up nation of Israel, and the world couldn't believe it either, but...Egypt attacked Israel four times and four times Egypt lost. Egypt needed that peace treaty. The treaty was reason to celebrate for the Israeli people, and for those Egyptians who feared losing a loved one to Israel's wrath, it was good for Egyptians, as well, but a daunting precedent was set. As a condition of the treaty, Israel returned all their spoils of war to their attacker. Everything went back to Egypt. It was historic and it was unfortunate. From that time forward, Israel has been expected to "give back" and "give up," anything and everything that punished the attacker for attacking in the first place. Additionally, Israel has been expected to give up whatever negotiators asked them to give. Daniel Pipes makes several sobering observations about Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty, but perhaps the starkest is the this precedent:
...war can be concluded through negotiations rather than by one side giving up.
Winning the battle...possessing the mightiest power and being willing to use that power sends the clearest message. As Netanyahu said in his speech:
Many good people have told us that withdrawal from the territories is the key to peace with the Palestinians. Well we withdrew. But the fact is that every withdrawal was met with massive waves of terror by suicide bombers and thousands of missiles. We tried to withdraw with an agreement and without an agreement. We tried a partial withdrawal and a full withdrawal. In the year 2000 and again last year, I proposed with good will, an almost total withdrawal in exchange for an end to the conflict and twice our offers were rejected. We evacuated every last inch of the Gaza strip and we uprooted settlements, and evicted thousands of Israelis from their homes and in response we received a hail of missiles on our cities towns and children.
Negotiations do nothing unless you have already won your battles, your enemy is in retreat, and your fist remains clenched and raised until your demands are met. The lesson for Israel is don't "give back" and especially don't give up the borders you need to keep your country safe.

Israeli Youth Videos: Youth in Israel Send Message to Obama

The following videos feature young Israelis and American Jews answering the question: What do you think about President Obama's Cairo speech? Language Warning: Strong use of the "F" word and the "N" word. Don't watch the first video if you are easily offended. The second video is a more measured, but mixed, response. The videos are produced by an American documentary maker, Blumenthal and are moving around the Internet with the moniker "Feeling the Hate in Jerusalem." I'm not seeing "hate" in these videos. I see deep frustration, dismay, fear and a feeling of gross unfairness with the way Israel is treated by the world. While I do not condone the language, these are young people and their lives lay ahead with great uncertainty. How would you feel if your country was under physical assault from all sides? The first video begins with a young man in a bandanna speaking. Ignore this - just get past it. His response is not indicative of what is to come. His remarks are clearly racist. The filmmakers have been criticized for using "inebriated teenagers." You'll see the difference in response between those clearly drinking and those not, in the second video. Blumenthal says that absolutely no remarks positive to President Obama were edited out. Here's a preview:

1) You're all about talking to the Arabs," says one. "You're going to Cairo making a speech to the Muslim world trying to get them to love you, what about the Jews, man? What are we, chopped liver? You don't care about us. Are we nothing to you? Do we matter? Do you care if we get driven into the sea? Do you care if we get nuked? Are we even... ugh... do you care about us?!" 2) My grandmother was in Auschwitz, Obama," he adds. "We're not going to take any Auschwitz bullshit! Listen, Obama, my grandma's number was 1268493, I remember her number on her arm, dude. And listen, never again will we deal with this, never again!" 3) Another member of the group stands up and declares, "I worked for the Obama campaign, but honestly, you f**kin' with Israel, you mother, STOP IT!" He stands and points his finger at the camera lens.

Homily To The Muslims.

By Findalis

Book of Obama, Chapter 6
It came to pass that on the 4th day of the month of June, the Anointed One journeyed to the land of the Pharaohs. In the city of Cairo, where no Pharaoh had ever walked, the Anointed One, spoke to the assembled at the Hall of Learning.
I carry to you the goodwill of MY people of America and the peace of the Mosques of America: assalaamu alaykum. We in the West have kept the Muslim down in the gutter for too long. We have colonized your lands, stolen your property and kept you in ignorance. But I will CHANGE that. On 9/11 you attacked us, and we were angry. But that is now over. We can work together without us mentioning 9/11, all is forgiven. This CHANGE will not be easy. This CHANGE will not take place overnight. It will take a year or two, but I will bring CHANGE and HOPE to all the Muslim world. I tell you that I am a Christian, but MY father, grandfather and brother were all Muslims. I spent many years as a boy in a Muslim land. I worked with Muslims in Chicago. And I learned your history. How you developed Algebra (actually invented in India) , the Magnetic Compass (invented in China), pens and printing(invented in China), all the while bringing peace, prosperity, and harmony to the world ( as long as the Christians, Jews and Hindus paid a special tax and lived as second class citizens). Your level of medicine rivaled that of the modern world of today (that is if you like dipping fly wings into your tea and drinking it to cure disease). How you brought about the Renaissance and Enlightenment (both would have come earlier if Muslim armies hadn't invaded Europe). I know that Muslims were fundamental to the establishment of the United States. That Muslims fought in our wars, served in government, stood for civil rights, started businesses, taught at our Universities, excelled in our sports arenas, won Nobel Prizes, built our tallest building, and lit the Olympic Torch (all within the last 50 years). We were first recognized by Morocco (that is after France, Great Britain, and Spain). You have a bad misconception of ME. MY America is Muslim friendly with a Mosque in every state and 1200 in the nation. We welcome Muslims with open arms. You are free to force your women to wear your burkas, insist on forcing Christians and Jews into a Dhimmi role, and kill your female relatives if they upset your honor. Just don't show anti-Semitic pictures. Don't yell your true feelings of hatred in the world. We are all humans. We must all respect that. I will state it again: America is not at war with Islam. (So please don't attack us again, right?) I will not keep MY troops in Afghanistan or Iraq. I will have them away from those lands within a few years. (I'm gonna need them to destroy Israel.) We will keep up the illusion of fighting the extremists with the help of of the Muslim world. (I know you don't want them to lose and I need to save face.) We will defeat them together. (Or not, they are useful to keep the sheep scared.) I will bring a solution to the Palestinian problem. It is all the fault of the Israelis. They will do what I will say. There will be peace. For I will make Israel give the Palestinians everything that they want, and the Palestinians will not have to do anything. And if there isn't peace, then I will blame the failure on the Israelis. I will allow Iran to have Nukes, and will make everyone give up theirs instead. That way the Muslim world can have as many Nukes they wish to force their will on others. I grant Freedom of Religion to all Muslims. The 7 million Muslims in America (There are no more than 3 million Muslims in America) have such freedom. That is why we welcome efforts like Saudi Arabian King Abdullah's Interfaith dialogue (How many churches and synagogues are there in Saudi Arabia?) and Turkey's leadership in the Alliance of Civilizations (As long as non-Muslims accept the Dhimmitude). The right of women to wear the hajib I give freely. You should educate them, but remember your faith does not allow them to be treated equally. I give you the gift of Democracy. But only the Democracy that you want. I urge you to treat your non-Muslims with dignity, but remember they are Dhimmis and you know the rights they are to have. And then He spoke from the Koran, He spoke the words of peace and understanding.
The assembled in the Hall of Learning rose in great cheers. For He will give them the world on a platter and they have to do almost nothing. No more cries of: "Death to Israel!" No more whispers and planning. All they have to do is sit back and let it happen. But a wind began to stir. The discord of dissent was coming from the Holy City. The Leader of the Hebrews, Netanyahu arose. He spoke the words of discourse loud enough for all to hear:
NO WE WON'T!!!!!!!

Solving the Palestinian Problem

Cross posted by Findalis of Monkey in the Middle Daniel Pipes is director of the Middle East Forum and Taube distinguished visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution of Stanford University. This is his latest essay from the Jerusalem Post

Israel's war against Hamas brings up the old quandary: What to do about the Palestinians? Western states, including Israel, need to set goals to figure out their policy toward the West Bank and Gaza. Let's first review what we know does not and cannot work:
  • Israeli control. Neither side wishes to continue the situation that began in 1967, when the IDF took control of a population that is religiously, culturally, economically and politically different and hostile.
  • A Palestinian state. The 1993 Oslo Accords began this process but a toxic brew of anarchy, ideological extremism, anti-Semitism, jihadism and warlordism led to complete Palestinian failure.
  • A binational state: Given the two populations' strong mutual antipathy, the prospect of a combined Israel-Palestine (what Muammar Gaddafi calls "Israstine") is as absurd as it seems.
Excluding these three prospects leaves only one practical approach, which worked tolerably well in the period 1948-67: Shared Jordanian-Egyptian rule, with Amman ruling the West Bank and Cairo running Gaza. TO BE sure, this back-to-the-future approach inspires little enthusiasm. Not only was Jordanian-Egyptian rule undistinguished, but resurrecting this arrangement will frustrate Palestinian impulses, be they nationalist or Islamist. Further, Cairo never wanted Gaza and has vehemently rejected its return. Accordingly, one academic analyst dismisses this idea as "an elusive fantasy that can only obscure real and difficult choices." It is not. The failures of Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority and the "peace process," has prompted rethinking in Amman and Jerusalem. Indeed, the Christian Science Monitor's Ilene Prusher found already in 2007 that the idea of a West Bank-Jordan confederation "seems to be gaining traction on both sides of the Jordan River." The Jordanian government, which enthusiastically annexed the West Bank in 1950 and abandoned its claims only under duress in 1988, shows signs of wanting to return. Dan Diker and Pinhas Inbari documented for Middle East Quarterly in 2006 how the PA's "failure to assert control and become a politically viable entity has caused Amman to reconsider whether a hands-off strategy toward the West Bank is in its best interests." Israeli officialdom has also shown itself open to this idea, occasionally calling for Jordanian troops to enter the West Bank. Despairing of self-rule, some Palestinians welcome the Jordanian option. An unnamed senior PA official told Diker and Inbari that a form of federation or confederation with Jordan offers "the only reasonable, stable, long-term solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict." Hanna Seniora opined that "the current weakened prospects for a two-state solution forces us to revisit the possibility of a confederation with Jordan." The New York Times's Hassan Fattah quotes a Palestinian in Jordan: "Everything has been ruined for us - we've been fighting for 60 years and nothing is left. It would be better if Jordan ran things in Palestine, if King Abdullah could take control of the West Bank." NOR IS this just talk: Diker and Inbari report that back-channel PA-Jordan negotiations in 2003-04 "resulted in an agreement in principle to send 30,000 Badr Force members," to the West Bank. And while Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak announced a year ago that "Gaza is not part of Egypt, nor will it ever be," his is hardly the last word. First, Mubarak notwithstanding, Egyptians overwhelmingly want a strong tie to Gaza; Hamas concurs; and Israeli leaders sometimes agree. So the basis for an overhaul in policy exists. Secondly, Gaza is arguably more a part of Egypt than of "Palestine." During most of the Islamic period, it was either controlled by Cairo or part of Egypt administratively. Gazan colloquial Arabic is identical to what Egyptians living in Sinai speak. Economically, Gaza has most connections to Egypt. Hamas itself derives from the Muslim Brethren, an Egyptian organization. Is it time to think of Gazans as Egyptians? Thirdly, Jerusalem could out-maneuver Mubarak. Were it to announce a date when it ends the provisioning of all water, electricity, food, medicine and other trade, and accepts enhanced Egyptian security in Gaza, Cairo would have to take responsibility for Gaza. Among other advantages, this would make it accountable for Gazan security, finally putting an end to the thousands of Hamas rocket and mortar assaults. The Jordan-Egypt option quickens no pulses, but that may be its value. It offers a uniquely sober way to solve the "Palestinian problem."
The Palestinian people have demonstrated that they cannot govern themselves, no matter how many dollars or euros are donated to them. They have not built an infrastructure, working hospitals or schools, roads or sewers, or any of the necessary improvements on their lands that every government must do to maintain law and order. Instead they allow thugs and murderers to rule over them, imposing 7th Century codes of law, and causing massive shortages in every item except bigotry and anger. Since they cannot or will not govern themselves, and Israel is fed up with the whole process, the time has come to force Egypt and Jordan to take these troublesome people back. The Palestinian Problem is not a Jewish or Israeli one, it is an Arab one. And it is time for the Arabs to finally solve it once and for all!

What Can You Do In 270 Seconds?

Cross posted by Findalis of Monkey in the Middle An interesting question needless to say. 270 seconds = 4 minutes. You can boil an egg. You can kiss your spouse. You can give your children a big hug. If you are Israel, you can destroy 40 Tunnels that connect Gaza to Egypt.

The IAF destroyed 40 tunnels that connected the Egyptian and Gazan sides of Rafiah (Rafah) in a bombing sortie that lasted 270 seconds Sunday afternoon. Plumes of black smoke mushroomed into the air one after the other as the IAF cast bombs at the tunnels which line the Philadelphi Corridor between Egypt and Gaza. The Corridor is supposed to be guarded by Egyptian forces but these have proven unable or unwilling to prevent large-scale smuggling of weapons and other supplies into Gaza. A high ranking military source said that all of the tunnels which have been used by Hamas to smuggle weapons have been destroyed. Observers said the IAF may have used U.S.-supplied "bunker buster" bombs to destroy some the tunnels. As part of the psychological warfare against Gaza, hundreds of residents of Gaza received recorded telephone calls in which they were warned: "You are in danger. In order to save your life and that of your family you must leave this place. This is a message from the Israel Defense Force." The top source said that the IAF has carried out 213 sorties over Gaza since Operation Cast Lead began, 56 of them by combat helicopters. Most of the sorties were carried out Sunday. He said that some of the tunnels were buried deep in the ground and their demolition was made possible thanks to accurate information supplied by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency). The source said that the fighting would go on for a long time and warned that we would see "difficult days" in the course of the operation.
Strange war this is. The enemy calls up the civilians in Gaza and tells them to take cover. When did Hamas ever do that for the people of Sderot. Day 2 of Operation Cast Lead is going well. Hamas still fires rockets into Israel, this time reaching as far as Ashdod, Israel is hitting military targets with precision and accuracy.
Gaza terrorists continued firing rockets at the western Negev Sunday afternoon, although the pace of the attacks had slowed by 4:00 p.m.

Three people, including a 12-year-old boy, suffered shrapnel wounds and several others suffered traumatic shock Sunday afternoon when the missiles bombarded the coastal city of Ashkelon at mid-day.

The terrorists are using 122-mm Grad-type Katyusha missiles, of the type that can reach a range of up to 40 kilometers. Several cars were also damaged after one of the missiles struck the southern end of the port city. The second missile landed in an unidentified location. Less than an hour later, two rockets exploded in the Eshkol region. No one was injured and no damage was reported.

And the usual noise is coming out of Lebanon. Again the people of Lebanon will suffer for the actions of Hizbollah.

Hizbullah terrorists have vowed to open a second front against Israel in the north in retaliation for the IDF military operation against Hamas terrorists in Gaza.

Terrorist chief Hassan Nasrallah issued a statement on Hizbullah's Al-Manar television station Sunday, vowing that "northern Israel will burn as Gaza is burning." Nasrallah rarely appears in person; he speaks via a video hook-up from his hideout due to fears of assassination by Israeli agents, following the 2006 Second Lebanon War. Hizbullah officials were quoted in a number of Arabic-language publications on Saturday warning that they would not permit Israel to attack Gaza without retaliating. Last week seven Katyusha rockets were discovered primed and ready for launching in southern Lebanon, located near the northern border of Israel. All seven were aimed at targets in the Jewish State. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert -- anticipating such a reaction -- warned Hizbullah Saturday night in his speech informing the nation about the military operation in Gaza that any "others who may seek to take advantage of the situation would be wise not to."

In 2006 the world saw the dead children but not the dead Hizbollah fighters. Reports say that Hizbollah was decimated with losses of over 60%. I believe those reports since Hassan Nasrallah ordered that no funeral for any fighter be shown on the news, only those for civilian casualties. Thus the world got an distorted view of the war.

This time it is different. This time the Israeli people are 100% behind this action. This time the media is showing more pictures of dead and wounded Hamas fighters (I will not give them the honorific of soldier). And this time Israel will prevail.
