Paris Lewis aka Malik Zulu Shabazz is New Black Panther Leader: Malik Shabazz Black Panthers Ready to Rumble with Glenn Beck

Paris Lewis, a convert to Islam, is known today as Malik Zulu Shabazz. In the video interview below with a Russian-English language news channel, Shabazz says his New Black Panther Party (NBPP) is "ready to rumble," and will meet Glenn Beck at the "Washington monument." According to Shabazz, the NBPP is ready for "rightwingers," and he names some, but leaves Sarah Palin out of his list of "rumblees." Apparently, they want no part of Mama Grizzly, Sarah Palin who will be appearing at Beck's Restoring Honor.

Shabazz also said the New Black Panther "will deal with all rightwingers," including Michael Steele, J. Christian Adams, the DOJ whistleblower,  Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA-10th) who tried to subpoena the DOJ for information about the NBPP voter intimidation case, and TEA parties.

Without blogs and Fox News, you would know nothing about the voter intimidation case against the New Black Panthers, because mainstream media refuses to talk about this anti-American, Jew-hating, screed-spewing organization which tried to keep voters from exercising their right to vote for their choice in the 2008 presidential elections. UPDATE: 7-9-10 1:00 pm EDT - Oops, in the video below you'll hear Lewis/Shabazz say Fox will not allow him on. Just heard that Megyn Kelly is interviewing him at about 2:30 p.m. EDT. Here is a statement dated July 8, 2010 from GlennBeck.com, after saying no one applying for these permits receives them hand until about three days before the event:

[Beck] ...we have not only the permit, the space of the Lincoln Memorial, we have the space — we have taken the mall and asked for the space from the Lincoln Memorial all the way to the capitol building. We have the entire mall reserved for that day. Not because we're expecting that whole place to be filled but because we wanted to make sure counterprotests and everything else, we want this to be a peaceful event. 

There is only one sliver of the mall that we don't have. It was reserved by the White House and it is like a quarter of the space behind the Washington Memorial. So we wanted to make it a safe space, we wanted to make it a peaceful space, we wanted to do justice to the space. It is a sacred space to me as well, and anybody who thinks that we're going to desecrate the image of Lincoln, Washington, or even MLK, I invite you to come and bring your family because you will be amazed. You will be amazed at how uplifting this will be.

So where is the press? We're talking about a sacred and Constitutional right to go to the polls uninhibited. Where is the press?

The Beck rally on August 28th will meet on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to move the "restoration" theme forward:

"a non-political event that pays tribute to America's service personnel and other upstanding citizens who embody our nation's founding principles of integrity truth and honor."

August 28th is the 47th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr's I Have a Dream speech at the Lincoln monument. Lewis/Shabazz says his group will meet Beck on "the 27th." They'll have to camp out because the rally begins on the 28th - or maybe they plan to catch Beck without the masses, overseeing the setup the day before???

If you plan to attend the Beck's rally, find time and information about how to get into the Lincoln Memorial on rally day here. One thing to mention, on Left websites there are people saying the National Park Service says Beck does not yet have a permit approved for the National Mall area on the 28th, and others say the permit is for the area in front of the reflecting pool, not on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. The question: does Beck have the permit? Surely he would not hype this event with an event license.

Shabazz says the NBPP is also "ready to rumble" with Michael Steele chairman of the RNC, TEA parties, Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA) who is investigating the Department of Justice (DOJ) dismissal against the NBPP's voter intimidation in Philadelphia, and J. Christian Adams, the whistleblower that resigned the DOJ after being told that there will be no justice for White victims of voter fraud and/or intimidation - bottom line, Justice will not prosecute Blacks participating in voter fraud or intimidation.

Bill Kristol Calls for Michael Steele's Resignation: Steele Tries to Recover

The Weekly Standard's Bill Kristol asked Michael Steele to resign his position as Chairman of the Republican party, after saying Afghanistan is a "war of Obama's choosing."

Steele's exact words:

"Keep in mind again, federal candidates, this was a war of Obama's choosing. This was not something that the United States had actively prosecuted or wanted to engage in." And, "if [Obama] is such a student of history, has he not understood that you know that's the one thing you don't do, is engage in a land war in Afghanistan?"

What was Steele thinking? He has had some gaffes in the past but this one shows a blatant ignorance of the war in Afghanistan.

Kristol's retort:

Needless to say, the war in Afghanistan was not "a war of Obama’s choosing." It has been prosecuted by the United States under Presidents Bush and Obama. Republicans have consistently supported the effort. Indeed, as the DNC Communications Director (of all people) has said, your statement "puts [you] at odds with about 100 percent of the Republican Party."

Steele has tried to answer. The Weekly Standard has printed a new statement, time-stamped 4:10 p.m. EDT July 2, 2010. Read it here. It answers nothing, but does make clear there is no way Steele could 'splain himself.

Now I join those thinking it is time for Michael Steele to step down from his position as Chairman of the Republican National Committee. This interview puts legals and illegals in the same basket and tries to make them one. Speaking of Arizona's new illegal immigration law, Steele gives the basket a shake and says we certainly do need these people, but who is he speaking of - legals or illegals? Of "those coming to the process legally, the GOP must be "mindful our prior actions and our prior rhetoric...has not been the most welcoming and supportive to those wanting to learn English and get a job. He suggests we get on with the apple pie and singing a few bars of the Star Spangled Banner. What? He eventually mentions the Rule of Law.

Republicans have never been unwelcoming to those "assimilating" legally. Shame on Steele, who I have unwaveringly supported, even when he said the Party was racist.

As a Party, we must be proud of standing for the Rule of Law, Had we respected our country's Rule of Law throughout the years, the U.S. would be safer and more economically stable, and the Arizona governor wouldn't be in the news today.

Recently, as Steele tried to explain away some Republican Committee irresponsible spending, by saying some of the criticism might be be rooted in racism.

Steele is bouncing on and off the Party walls. It's time for him to go. We need a strong supporter of the Rule of Law heading the Party. It will gain us votes, and it is the right and honorable thing to do, in every case, not just illegal aliens.

Michael Steele DePaul University: Steele: No Reason for Blacks to Vote Republican

I haven't said much about Michael Steele and the oddities that keep popping up associated with his chairmanship of the Republican National Committee, but...now...I think he must step down. Steele has told a group DePaul University students that African Americans "don't have a reason" to vote for Republicans. Then he opined that some whites are afraid to be in the same room with him. It is time for Steele to move on.

One of the easiest questions to answer, if you understand and believe in conservatism, is what the Republican party has to offer to students at DePaul University or any other university.

How about offering "opportunity," and "freedom" and "lower taxes" and "smaller government," as opposed to "a mortgage that you didn't have to qualify for and afford to pay each month." Steele, a self-described "Lincoln conservative," is a fine example of a very important principle: the color of your skin does not matter in the Republican party. This is has been proven over and over if you look at the political and cabinet  appointments of George W. Bush.

I want to hear from Steele what the Democrat party has done for DePaul students.

Steele has found a way to rise to the top through the Republican party, but the man is not a believer in conservative principles. He must go. Now.

David Paterson Will Not Run for Reelection

Beleaguered New York Governor David Paterson is expected to announce today he will not run for reelection. Press conference planned for an 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM time frame.

The New York Post confirms Paterson will not run. Politico cites Democrats calling for Paterson to drop his re-election bid, including President Barack Obama.

New York's black Democrats had been reluctant to publicly voice their private skepticism of New York's first black governor, but Perkins said the "disturbing" report that the governor had interfered in an aide's domestic violence case forced his hand, and that he would call Paterson to tell him today.

Michael Steele, Chairman of the RNC, made the following comment last September about Obama's involvement:

I found that to be stunning, that the White House would send word to one of only two black governors in the country not to run for re-election,” Mr. Steele said on CBS’s Face the Nation Sunday. He also questioned why the White House had not exerted similar pressure on Jon Corzine, the Democratic governor of New Jersey, who has also suffered from very low approval ratings.

Paterson's scandals got hotter as one of his close aides, David W. Johnson, was suspended without pay, finally, this week on accusations of a violent domestic assault on his live-in girlfriend on Halloween night.

At every turn, the woman involved met a brick wall. She could not get protective orders served on Johnson. In the end, she talked to Governor Paterson by phone (unclear who made the to whom) and the next day, she failed to show up in court and her case was dismissed.

Attorney Andrew Cuomo, at Paterson's request, began an investigation into State Police and the Governor's office. Yesterday, Denise O'Donnell, a Paterson Cabinet official charged with overseeing the Police, stepped down.

Just yesterday Paterson was indicating he will run, but Rep. Steve Israel (D-NY), a close friend of Paterson's asked Paterson to step out of the race. "Sometimes, friends have to speak unpleasant truths."

David Paterson's scandal monitor seemed to perk-up daily, after stepping into office to replace disgraced New York Governor Eliot Spitzer. Polls are showing that Attorney General Andrew Cuomo is the leading Democrat for the 2010 race. In 2008, a New York Daily News headline said Gov. Paterson admits to sex with other women for years. That wasn't the whole story. Paterson said both he an his wife routinely had extramarital affairs.

The NRCC is backing Doug Hoffman, officially, for the NY23 Republican candidate, now that RINO DeDe Hoffman exited left. See post election update below.

The NRCC released this statement yesterday (snippets):

With Assemblywoman Scozzafava suspending her campaign, we urge voters to support Doug Hoffman's candidacy in New York's 23rd Congressional District.

"He is the only active candidate in the race who supports lower taxes, fiscal responsibility and opposes Nancy Pelosi's agenda of government-run healthcare, more government and less jobs.

"We look forward to welcoming Doug Hoffman into the House Republican Conference as we work together for the good of our nation."

From the RNC's Michael Steele:

Effective immediately, the RNC will endorse and support the conservative candidate in the race, Doug Hoffman. Doug's campaign will receive the financial backing of the RNC, and get-out-the-vote efforts to defeat Bill Owens on Tuesday.

With three days to go to funnel some funds to Hoffman, I'm waiting for the NRCC's next move, and it better be quick. A check of NRCC Chairman, Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX) website shows no official statement from him.
