Old Glory has been removed from the Department of Justice (DOJ) website banner and replaced with a black background and white print. A new motto now resides on the webpage - a quote of which its origins are not completely certain, but were greatly admired by former Attorney General Janet Reno in January 2001, something she and Eric Holder apparently have in common. The quote is usually attributed to C. Wilfred Jenks, a Director-General of the U.N.'s International Labor Organization which busies itself with "the promotion of social justice."
Most telling: Jenks, as director of the ILO is credited with putting in place the first Soviet senior member of the UN organization, and also with creating an environment that allowed the ILO to give "observer status" to the Palestinian Liberation Organization, and to issue anti-Israeli statements, which precipitated efforts by the U.S. Congress to withdraw U.S. membership from the ILO. The U.S. actually did withdraw in the mid-1970s due to the organization's leftist leanings.
"It was Jenks's efforts that helped make the ILO a tool of the socialist and communist movement," says one of the DOJ lawyers. "We used to joke about how fitting it was that this was Janet Reno's favorite quote to use in speeches, and now the Obama folks think it encapsulates out department's mission."

The President of the European Central Bank, Jean-Claude Trichet, told
Forbes that global governance is extremely necessary if we want to
prevent another financial crisis. In his prepared printed and spoken
remarks to the Council on Foreign Relations, Trichet emphasized that
politicians, economists, and financiers must work across the Atlantic
and collaborate on methods to create an international set of standards.
It is his belief that through global governance, the resiliency of the
global financial system can be assured, noting that ultimately it was
governments’ use of taxpayer’s money, equivalent to around 25% of GDP on

Five members of Australia's parliament have resigned in protest over the country's emissions trading legislation - Australia's own carbon tax and Cap and Trade scam. Ian Pilmer is a professor at the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Adelaide, and is a two-time winner of Australia's Eureka Prize, the country's highest scientific honor. Pilmer has called Al Gore's book, An Inconvenient Truth, as "long on scientific misrepresentations." He is an author of seven books, and a fierce debunker of man-made global warming. As in the U.S., the need for emissions reduction at the cost of major Western countries, is a very hot topic.

CBS anchorman Walter Cronkite retired from his position as "the most trusted man in America" in 1981. America thought they knew all there was to know about this distinguished newsman that they invited into their home each evening. The truth is, we didn't have a clue, and we certainly didn't know what he was doing behind the scenes. Walter Cronkite was a World Federalist and in that vein, he said he was happy to sit at the right hand of Satan. The background is that Walter Cronkite was a member of the World Federalist Movement. Norman Cousins was a past president of the organization. The World Federalists want a new world order of international law and international justice for individuals. The World Federalist Movement headquarters, known as the Institute for Global Policy, is located in New York City across from the United Nations. The best estimate of membership is between 30,000 and 50,000 members. The video below is a bit long, so I've transcribed portions if you do not have time to watch the entire "event." Norman Cousins introduces Walter Cronkite and presents the Norman Cousins Global Governance Award to him. Cousins lauds Cronkite for being a lifelong advocate of the principal of world governance. Cousins either quotes Cronkite as saying "world governance is the structure necessary for global justice," or this is a statement made by Cousins in his introduction. The video is not clear on who said what. Cronkite takes the podium and honors Cousins by saying he had hoped to address Cousins as "Mr. President," one day. In Cronkite's remarks he opens with "the first priority of human kind is to establish an effective system of world law that will assure peace and justice among peoples of all the world." He says that as a journalist, "I had my own strong opinions and I put them aside, now however my circumstances are considerably different and I'm in a position to speak my mind, and by God, I'm going to do it:
[We have the opportunity to] influence the future of civilization, whether our planet is going to live or die, to drift into chaos and violence or whether through a monumental educational and political effort we will achieve a world of peace under a system of law where individual violators of that law are brought to justice.Cronkite says our belief in war is a "savage" belief.
We Americans are going to have to yield-up some of our sovereignty. That's going to be to many a bitter pill. Mr. Cronkite's quest for world peace is a noble one. To believe that a world court designed to administer justice to individuals, in order to get that peace, is either incredibly naive or traitorous. Had there been a world court in the days of Alexander Hamilton, Mr. Cronkite would have been a subject of Queen Elizabeth - if indeed the Muslim world had allowed her to reign. Make no doubt about it, it will be the U.N. and a few power-mongers who will administer that governance, as well as global social justice on you and me.

This can happen only if global corporations, international financial and trade institutions and Governments are subject to effective democratic control by the people..."You get the picture. What is wrong with this picture? We learned this weekend that a Spanish judge, Baltasar Garzon, is preparing to prosecute six Americans who worked as senior legal and policy advisers to former President George W. Bush - including former Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales and Undersecretary of Defense Douglas J. Feith. The purported crime? The opinions they provided Mr. Bush supported the use of torture against enemy combatants.Most Americans would find this assertion of what has come to be called “transnational law” to be troubling on several grounds. Its application is an affront to due process and the rule of law in this country. It would criminalize internal U.S. policymaking deliberations, with profound implications for U.S. sovereignty. If allowed to run its course, this prosecution would have a profoundly chilling effect on the willingness of subordinates to provide a president with advice or perhaps even to serve in government.
America's Left loves Europe for all the wrong reasons. There's the architecture, the mountains and hillsides, the fabulous food and drink, the seaside villas, the bullet trains, the traditional dress, the modern fashion, and the savoir-faire personas.
Those are the right reasons to love Europe, even adore Europe, but hoping to emulate the politics and the ruling class - it's a dangerous thing.
Europe's history is living under the tyranny of Kings or worse, or on the brink of it. Like the Big Cat that has tasted human flesh for the first time, the lust for it never diminishes. It is human nature to distract the citizenry and grab the power, because Europe has had more than a mouthful. When the desire for power stalks, the people cannot take time for a second look. Europe is blinking and taking second looks, and I suspect they always will.
An American President must take the sweet lessons of America's particular brand of democracy to the rest of the world. They either embrace it as a model or live under their own vision of freedom, whatever that may be. We haven't lived as Europe has lived. European democracy? That glove doesn't fit America.

Will we reject torture and stand for the rule of law? The answer to the title of this post is "yes." It is not a joke and it is not mis-stated or over-stated.
According to Senator Jim Inhofe's office today, Obama's Global Poverty Act, Senate Bill 2433, may not come to the floor until September, unless "energy" is resolved sooner than expected.
Senate Bill 2433 is vile Legislation and it is sponsored by Senator Obama. If this legislation passes, I cannot say that everything I've outlined below will be automatically adhered to, because as a Nation the masses would rise-up, but Senator Obama is an Internationalist, a Globalist, a Socialist. If we give him the opportunity, (and his co-sponsors as well, and certainly if he becomes President, he will collaborate with the United Nations in every way he can. He believes in this stuff folks. Be alarmed!
A comment on a forum board somewhere made me take an even closer look at the details of the Bill. I've scoured the documents involved before, and again now - a lot of very long text and very small print - links provided herein.
The comment that caught my attention was this:
"I wouldn't worry about Senate Bill 2433 tying the U.S. to anything other than eradicating global poverty. The remainder of the Millennium Development Goal (MDG) is not tied to the U.S. through this Bill."That is simply wrong. According to United Nation's MDG agreement, signed by many countries, including the United States, the key to the mission and vision of the Bill is the U.N. Millennium Development Goal (MDG), which Senator Obama includes in his legislation, specifically tying the eradication of poverty to achieving the goals of the MDG. (Link to Bill at end of article). Here's a quote from Millennium Development Goal that will give you more than a hint of what is planned for you and me:

Leading academics and watchdog groups allege that the UN's main offset fund is being routinely abused by chemical, wind, gas and hydro companies who are claiming emission reduction credits for projects that should not qualify. The result is that no genuine pollution cuts are being made, undermining assurances by the UK government and others that carbon markets are dramatically reducing greenhouse gases, the researchers say.
The criticism centres on the UN's clean development mechanism (CDM), an international system established by the Kyoto process that allows rich countries to meet emissions targets by funding clean energy projects in developing nations.
Credits from the project are being bought by European companies and governments who are unable to meet their carbon reduction targets.
The market for CDM credits is growing fast. At present it is worth nearly $20bn a year, but this is expected to grow to over $100bn within four years. More than 1,000 projects have so far been approved, and 2,000 more are making their way through the process.
A working paper from two senior Stanford University academics examined more than 3,000 projects applying for or already granted up to $10bn of credits from the UN's CDM funds over the next four years, and concluded that the majority should not be considered for assistance. "They would be built anyway," says David Victor, law professor at the Californian university. "It looks like between one and two thirds of all the total CDM offsets do not represent actual emission cuts."
Governments consider that CDM is vital to reducing global emissions under the terms of the Kyoto treaty. To earn credits under the mechanism, emission reductions must be in addition to those that would have taken place without the project. But critics argue this "additionality" is impossible to prove and open to abuse. The Stanford paper, by Victor and his colleague Michael Wara, found that nearly every new hydro, wind and natural gas-fired plant expected to be built in China in the next four years is applying for CDM credits, even though it is Chinese policy to encourage these industries.
"Traders are finding ways of gaining credits that they would never have had before. You will never know accurately, but rich countries are clearly overpaying by a massive amount," said Victor.
A separate study published this week by US watchdog group International Rivers argues that nearly three quarters of all registered CDM projects were complete at the time of approval, suggesting that CDM money was not needed to finance them.
