Socialism - Liberalism Quotation
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened." – Norman Thomas
A British doctor and 6 Americans were lined-up, robbed and shot on Friday, August 6th. The first reports say they were doing mission work with International Assistance Mission (IAM). A total of ten are dead, including Afghans.
Nuristan, Afghanistan - American Troops
The Taliban complaint against the group is that they were teaching Christianity and spying for America. Just my opinion here, but there is an abundance of need in non-Islamic countries. I wish our good-hearted Christians would use their energy for good works in those safer, but worthy area.
Zabihullah Mujahed, a Taliban spokesman said "They were Christian missionaries and we killed them all." The British physician, Dr. Karen Woo worked in an eye clinic in the remote Nuristan province. Her convoy was attacked as the group returned to Kabul. A shepherd reportedly found the bodies with passports missing.
The director of the International Assistance Mission charity, Dirk Frans, said the group's medical team was last heard from Wednesday as the aid workers were returning to Kabul from an eye clinic in Nuristan.
Their bullet-riddled bodies were discovered Friday in Badakhshan, where the team was traveling through believing it to be safer.
The Taliban has claimed responsibility for killing the group, which also included a German, a Briton and two Afghans.
The names of the dead found with Dr. Woo in Afghanistan have not been released.
Magdi Khalil is an Eqyptian-American writer and Abdallah al-Hadlaq is a Kuwaiti journalist. On Al Jazeera TV Khalil blamed increased hostility toward Israel on Western anarchists and said Arab discourse has fueled "illusions and hatred." Abdallah al-Hadlaq, a Kuwaiti journalist writing in Al-Watan, supported Israel's stopping of the terror flotilla. Both men maintain that it was well-know the flotilla was not peaceful.
Magdi Khalil
Magdi Khalil's June 15th appearance on Al-Jazeera TV - a contentious interview - he noted the terrorist connections of the flotilla, which includes The Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief (IHH). Khalil calls IHH "a terrorist organization."
Magdi Khalil: Whenever there is an incident, Israel does 'damage control.' This is part of the Israeli defense tactics. These are successful people, not like Ahmadinejad, who said that Security Council Resolution 1929 should be thrown into the garbage bin. They deal with things seriously. These people know the meaning of world opinion.
And here, Khalil also blames "leftist anarchists in the West" for renewed hostility toward Israel by the West.
Magdi Khalil: The Islamists, along with the leftist anarchists in the West and some neo-Nazis, have renewed the hostility towards Israel and the West.
The interviewer tries to quiet Khalil, but it doesn't work, as he points out that the number of people killed in Arab police stations is much higher than those killed in Israeli-Arab wars. (yes, he said "wars.")
Politics and Capitalism quotes Khalil chiding Israel for actually believing the Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan's characterization of the flotilla activists as "peaceful people." Khalil said simply, the Turkish PM is an "Islamist" and should not be trusted.
Abdallah Al-Hadlaq, writing that the organizers were supporters of "the terroristic Hamas," Hizbullah, al-Qaeda and Global Jihad, Abdallah Al-Hadlaq said the flotilla was "a pre-planned provocation against Israel," and the [Israeli] soldiers had no choice but to respond." Investigative Project quotes him saying "the world is obsessed" with Gaza while ignoring other important world events, and there is a double standard when it comes to Israel:
Hadlaq explains that there is a "terrible silence, lack of consideration, and indifference that has overcome the world…with regard to more important and more valuable [issues] that merit attention far more than this murky piece of land called the Gaza Strip."
This CAMERA (Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America) blog quotes Abdallah al-Hadlaq responding to a Breaking the Silence condemnation of Israel, saying he rejects Gaza's many and varying accusations war crimes committed by Israel, saying the IDF follows international law and obeys order "despite the stress of battle."
However these allegations are to be rejected because the IDF has proved that its troops follow international law and obey orders despite the stress of battle. These testimonies lack sourcing or corroboration, thus preventing any conclusions from being drawn... Furthermore, it was the ostracized Hamas that caused much grief when it fired dozens of Qassam missiles at innocent civilians in the southern towns and villages of Israel. The IDF had no choice but to fight back causing the deaths of 1400 Palestinians, half of them civilians used as human shields by Hamas, in addition to the 5,000 wounded. Israel lost just 10 soldiers and 3 civilians.
I find this very encouraging, and hope these two men can live their lives to a ripe old ages, but I can hear the fatwas now.
Israel trucked the cleared aid from the terrorist flotilla to the Gaza border, but Hamas refused to accept the delivery. Apparently, Gaza doesn't-need-no stinkin'-aid until Israel has released all detainees, including all al-Qaeda and Muslim Brotherhood members.
Israel-Gaza-Egypt Borders
Twenty trucks of aid were refused. Will Israel truck it back to the border when Hamas gets in the mood?
If you believe Israel is "occupying," do some research, because you are wrong. "Occupation" aside, Hamas and Hizbollah charters call for the extermination of Israel. Until that changes, there will be no peace. It won't change, so get used to the fact that there will be no peace - which is exactly the way Hamas wants it.
"Christian" militias can be radical, be radicalized, and be extremist, but Muslims cannot. This coming from the White House, of course. Our national security documents will no longer refer to "Islamic radicalism," but some Americans fit the description nicely for this oppressive regime.
Rightwing Extremism... Radicalization and Recruitment
The status of our war veterans was also taken in vein in the same report.
Because it is secret, we don't know what our enemies will be called by our government, but we are told that Obama is taking the lead from President Ronald Reagan. That's right. When in China, Reagan "never mentioned communism or democracy:"
That shift away from terrorism has been building for a year, since Obama went to Cairo and promised a "new beginning" in the relationship between the U.S. and the Muslim world. The White House believes the previous administration based that relationship entirely on fighting terrorism and winning the war of ideas.
The philosophy behind erasing "islamic radicals" from our consciousness comes from the thought that "the overwhelming majority" of people in Islamic countries are not going to become terrorists, but it completely ignores the fact that their Holy book, presumably read by every Muslim, does advocate for killing everyone that is not Muslim and I have not seen or heard of one single Muslim...not one, that objects to the directive of Allah to kill...kill...kill. The fact that they may never try to do so, is inordinately lame.
This is not only a problem in the United States. It is a problem all over the Western world. How are the people of Western Europe to understand their own reality if they cannot speak truthfully, and openly, about the ideology of Islam? If they have noticed -- and they have at long last noticed -- that Muslim immigrants are particularly aggressive, demanding, hostile, and un-integrable, save always for a small, discrete minority of people who arrive as Muslims but become integrable only to the precise extent that they cease to take Islam to heart, or even, in the best cases, as a result of the mental freedom and physical security that the West offers them, become estranged permanently from Islam (for who knows better what Islam is all about, than Wafa Sultan, and Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and Magdi Allam, and all the other outstanding and brilliant apostates who offer us their articulate testimonies?), should the peoples of Western Europe not allow themselves to employ the only vocabulary that allows them to discuss this matter?
This administration will continue to be completely ignorant of the truth and it will not service us well. Having said that, I am pleased that Obama, et.al, continues to be outrageous. We are madder than hell, and we are not getting over it so...bring it on.
Attorney General Eric Holder hired nine lawyers who previously defended accused al Qaeda members. These lawyers now work out of the Department of Justice. The DOJ has not been forthcoming with the names of the lawyers or the cases they are connected to. If it was proper to defend accused al Qaeda in private practice, why should their names not be released? So what is DOJ hiding? We have the right to know. Fill our Justice Department with jihadist sympathizers, and we have the right to know. See a current Megyn Kelly video below.
Eric Holder and Barack Obama
The third ranking Associate Attorney General, Thomas J. Perrelli recused himself from 39 cases of terrorist detainees because he had had participated in prior proceedings before coming to Justice, or had in some way been affiliated with - 39 cases, an astonishing number. Whole careers are being made by defending those wanting to attack our country.
Perelli, you'll remember, allowed the case against the New Black Panthers to drop, even with considerable eyewitness evidence, and a video, that voter intimidation took place at a Philadelphia polling place. The three New Black Panthers involved were Muslim, as are the detainees.
Senator Charles Grassley (R-IW), joined by fellow Republican members of the Judiciary Committee, requested the names of all detainee cases from which DOJ attorneys
were recused, along with the names of the lawyers defending them. Three
months later Grassley received a letter from a Holder aide, Ronald
Welch, filled with what Grassley characterized as "bureaucratic
mumbo-jumbo that failed to answer" his simple questions. The press had reported the names of Neal Katyal, who represented Osama bin Laden's drive and Jennifer Kaskal who worked for Human Rights Watch.
Welch
told Grassley at least nine lawyers at DOJ represented detainees or
worked on amicus briefs on the behalf of detainees, but provided names for only two.
The country has the right to know what the predilections of people in the Ustice Department are toward terrorism, especially if they're giving constitutional rights to terrorists. To me, this is a case of our public servants or political appointees having an agenda of their own instead of being concerned with the national security of the United States.
This letter [from Welch] creates a lot of suspicion about conflicts of interest. Without the names and details, we have a reason to question what's really going on here.
Here's what we do know: In March, the Legal Times named 14 Justice Department lawyers whose firms at leaset did significant detainee work and who therefore might need recusals in specific cases. They included Mr. Holder himself, Mr. Perrelli, then-Deputy Attorney General David J. Ogden, and a list of mid-to-high-ranking underlings that includes lawyers James Garland, John Bies, Aaron Lewis, Stuart Delery, Eric Columbus, Chad Golder, Bran Hauck,Donald Verrilli, Lanny Breuer, Tony West and Neal Katyal.
Mr. Grassley added the name of Jennifer Daskal, who was known as a particularly avid promoter of the terrorist detainees.
The DOJ held the information close and revealed little. According to the New York Times, Holder has not been helpful.
Mr. [Eric] Columbus, himself, not just someone from his former law firm, was an attorney of record in portions of the landmark case of Boumediene v. Bush where a divided Supreme Court ruled that detainees so enjoy access to U.S. Courts.
This is important because Mr. Columbus' job as senior counsel for the deputy attorney general gives him some supervisory authority over both the Criminal and National Security divisions of the Justice Department - the very divisions involved with deciding how to handle the detainees.
The Washington Times speculates that another of the unnamed lawyers is Jonathan G. Cederbaum who worked on the Boumediene case.
Holder insists that there is nothing unusual about an attorney once defending an opposing side, now contributing to the prosecutorial side, but this is different. This is about national security, and it a place we haven't been before. Eric Holder has been at war with America since he took office - and maybe before.
Grassley tells Megyn Kelly, if they do not provide the names "they are going to regret it." You'll hear that there is a $500 million budget to do something with these terrorists - or not.

No wonder Umar Faruk Abdulmutallab's name did not show up on our terrorist watch lists. The folks at the National Counterterrorism Center were scurrying around to meet the deadline for their new 2010 counterterrorism calendar, which is an interactive four-color publication - under the masterful direction of the National Counterterrorism Chief, Michael Leiter. There is also a 'daily planner' version in a pdf doc. Not sure how we use it for daily planning. It is 160 pages - that's a lot to print out. hmmmm. Maybe we can order it, but...don't see that info anywhere on the website.
Counterterrorism Calendar 2010
The interactive calendar details terrorist groups, methods and tactics, terrorist profiles, and a list of rightwing extremists (nah, just kidding about that last one). There is an interactive map with a guide to the history, areas of operation and the current status of terrorist groups. I launched the map and found al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (Yemen) - the one Janet Napolitano was so amazed to find still yet determined to kill us, or maybe it was news to her the Yemen group even existed.
I launched the interactive historical timeline of terrorism and clicked on December. Abdulmutallab was not profiled. Maybe we're still not certain the Christmas Day underpants bomber was a terrorist.
Under Methods and Tactics, there is a category for "Terrorism Definitions." "Politically motivated violence" is mentioned. Religious violence is not mentioned, but that's fair because Islam is a government, not just a religion. You might remember that we recently officially renamed terrorists as "unprivileged enemy belligerents." "Belligerents are mentioned as "mismatched in their military capabilities...."
We have only four countries listed as state sponsors of terrorism: Cuba, Iran, Sudan and Syria.
The Terrorist Exclusion List Designees (TEL) excludes members of their organization on the list from immigrating. Hamas didn't make the list.
A Massachusetts College has banned clothing that obscures the face, including veils and burqas. Former student Tarek Mehanna is the son of a professor at the school. He was arrested in October on some very scary charges.
Tarek Mehanna (2000)
A Muslim man, and an alumnus of The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Services, was charged with "plotting terror strikes." The College announced a campus-wide ban on veils, niqabs, burqas, which they say is unrelated to Tarek Mehanna's arrest.
Tarek Mehanna is the son of Prof. Ahmed Mehanna, who works at the Boston campus. The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) is getting ready to get really noisy on the issue. Ibrahim Hooper is rushing to the defense of the Muslim women on campus - it is a sacred mission to keep Muslim women hidden. Some of the women are probably rejoicing that a modicum of personal freedom may be coming their way.
Mehanna, of Sudbury, was arrested Oct. 21. He is accused of conspiring
with two men to randomly shoot mall shoppers and kill U.S. public
officials and soldiers in Iraq. Mehanna's family has denied the charges
and Mehanna has drawn strong, public support from friends and students
he taught at a Muslim school in Worcester.
Mehanna's father,
Ahmed Mehanna, teaches at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy's
campus in Boston. He did not respond to requests for comment.
Tarek Mehanna, 27, the son of a well-liked Boston pharmacology
professor, was arrested by federal officials at his parents' sumptuous
suburban home Wednesday, charged with lying about trips to the Middle
East and accused of plotting an assassination attempt and the mall
attack....
Tarek Mehanna, a 2000 graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury High School, was by
all accounts a regular guy who earned a doctorate from the
Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences where his father
is on staff. He taught math and religion to children at his Worcester
mosque's Alhuda Academy.
The mosque mentioned above is where the Mehanna family worshipped. The charges against Tarek Mehanna are not small. He is charged with plotting terror "for years," - even before the attacks on September 11, 2001:
Federal terrorism investigators are alleging that Tarek Mehanna
researched and planned attacks both in the U.S. and abroad for years.
They claim he began researching terrorist training camps in Pakistan as
far back as 2001, before the Sept. 11 attacks.
According to court affidavits, Mehanna allegedly discussed with two
other men, identified as Ahmad Abousamra and Daniel Maldonado, crimes
ranging from an assassination of unnamed U.S. leaders to opening fire
on civilians inside a crowded shopping mall.
Authorities claim Mehanna flew to Yemen in 2004 to find a terrorist
camp and communicated with Maldonado and Abousamra through code words,
such as "making peanut butter and jelly," to signify fighting in
Somalia and "culinary school" for terrorist camps.
Ahmed Mehanna said his son is a "loyal citizen:"
He said he has not seen his son since Tarek's arrest and subsequent
court arraignment, where his son briefly refused to stand for the judge
and tossed a chair to the floor....
Asked whether he thought his son could be a terrorist, he said, "Terrorist? That's news to me."
The College can count on an expensive lawsuit coming their way by CAIR. I can see Attorney General Eric Holder stepping in and putting a thumb on the new College rules. Let's hope this school is well-funded and will be supported by people of Massachusetts, if necessary. I applaud the school for this action. It is a brave step in a dangerous world.
Yemen is a hot bed for jihad propagation beginning at birth. With 23.8 million people, 46.2% of the citizenry are under 14 years old; males number 5.6 million and females 5.4 million. The median average age in the country is 16.8 years old. That is just what jihad needs, millions and millions of radical teenagers. In 2009, an average of 6.32 children were born to each Yemen woman. Propagating baby jihadists is how radical Islam plans to take over your world and mine.

As far back as 2007 officials at Walter Reed knew that there were problems with Nidal Hasan, yet they did nothing. They chose to ignore the signs for whatever reason they had.
Two years ago, a top psychiatrist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center was so concerned about what he saw as Nidal Hasan's incompetence and reckless behavior that he put those concerns in writing. NPR has obtained a copy of the memo, the first evaluation that has surfaced from Hasan's file.
Officials at Walter Reed sent that memo to Fort Hood this year when Hasan was transferred there.
Nevertheless, commanders still assigned Hasan — accused of killing 13 people in a mass shooting at Fort Hood on Nov. 5 — to work with some of the Army's most troubled and vulnerable soldiers.
I wonder if Hasan was a Christian or Jewish would he have gotten the same easy pass that he did.
Just read the memo and wonder what the US Army considers to be good psychiatric care?

Memorandum for: Credentials Committee
Subject: CPT Nidal Hasan
1. I am the program director for NCC Psychiatry Residency Training Program. I took over as PD in MAR 2007 and was Assistant PD from July 2006. I have been a faculty member of the residency since July 2004.
2. This memo is based on my personal knowledge of and the documented incidences in CPT Hasan’s Resident Training File.
3. The Faculty has serious concerns about CPT Hasan’s professionalism and work ethic. Clinically he is competent to deliver safe patient care. But he demonstrates a pattern of poor judgment and a lack of professionalism. In his PGY-2 year, he was counseled for inappropriately discussing religious topics with his assigned patients. He also required a period of in-program remediation when he was discovered to have not documented appropriately an ER encounter with a homicidal patient who subsequently eloped from the ER. He did successfully remediate this problem. At the end of his PGY-2 year, he was placed on administrative probation by the NCC GMEC for failure to take and pass USMLE Step 3 and to obtain an unrestricted state medical license by the end of his PGY-2 year; as a result he was not promoted to PGY-3 on time. He did eventually complete step 3 and get a license and was promoted to PGY-3. He was counseled for having a poor record of attendance at didactics and lower than expected PRITE scores. One year he failed to show for his PRITE examination at all. During his PGY-3 year, he was counseled for being consistently late to NNMC morning report. During his PGY-4 year, he was discovered to have only seen 30 outpatients in 38 week of outpatient continuity clinic. He was required to make this missed clinic time up using his elective. He failed his HGT/WGT screening and was found to be out of standards with body fat % and was counseled on that.
Lastly, he missed a night of call for MGMC ER and then did not respond to numerous pages by my office the next day.
4. Take together; these issues demonstrate a lack of professionalism and work ethics. He is able to self-correct with supervision. However, at this point he should not need so much supervision. In spite of all of this, I am not able to say he is not competent to graduate nor do I think a period of academic probation now at the end of his training will be beneficial. He would be able to contain his behavior enough to complete any period of probation successfully. My purpose in writing this letter is to give the credentials committee the benefit of full disclosure and the opportunity to modify CPT Hasan’s plan of supervision following initial privileging.
5. I did discuss this memo with CPT Hasan and informed him I would be adding it to his initial credentialing paperwork.
6. POC is the undersigned and may be reached at 202-XXX-XXXX or email at XXX/
Sincerely,
Scott Moran, MAJ, MC
Program Director
NCC Psychiatry Residency Training
A memo like that by a civilian hospital would destroy anyone's career, regardless of race or religion. But not in the military. What the US Army only wants is diversity for the sake of diversity. Not competency. Thus Hasan's passing grade and promotion.
In the old US Army, Hasan not only would have been investigate for his anti-American, treasonous (it is treason to side with the enemy during war-time) views, but would have failed in his quest to become a psychiatrist, been given a discharge (or asked to resign) and forced to pay the taxpayers back for his medical school.
No one would have died at Ft. Hood, and Hasan could have emigrated to one of the 57 Islamic countries that could have used his talents.
Oh for the good old days!
