Non-Citizen Legal Residents May Get to Vote in Maine

The only way it gets more ridiculous is to let illegal residents vote. Is this legal anywhere? We must learn that "all politics are not local." When Abdirizad Daud votes Democrat as a non-citizen, his vote affects me and my family. Non-citizen voters must be barred. I don't care what taxes they pay. If they don't want to pay taxes, go home. Our vote is our voice and our "say." You should not have a voice if you are not a citizen.

After 20+ years in the U.S. his English is "limited," and he cannot afford to become a citizen. Besides that, Allah would have a hissy fit. Daud longs to become a Democrat.

Portland residents will vote Nov. 2 on a proposal to give legal residents who are not U.S. citizens the right to vote in local elections, joining places like San Francisco and Chicago that have already loosened the rules or are considering it.

Noncitizens hold down jobs, pay taxes, own businesses, volunteer in the community and serve in the military, and it's only fair they be allowed to vote, Rwaganje said.

"We have immigrants who are playing key roles in different issues of this country, but they don't get the right to vote," said Rwaganje, 40, who moved to the U.S. because of political strife in his native Congo and runs a nonprofit that offers financial advice to immigrants.

Opponents of the measure say immigrants already have an avenue to cast ballots -- by becoming citizens. Allowing noncitizens to vote dilutes the meaning of citizenship, they say, adding that it could lead to fraud and unfairly sway elections.

"My primary objection is I don't think it is right, I don't think it is just, I don't think it is fair," Portland resident Barbara Campbell Harvey said.

San Francisco also has a ballot question on Nov. 2nd to decide whether or not to let non-citizens vote. In the article linked above you'll learn of other cities already giving non-citizens the right to vote in some instances. But first think about this little ditty:

Faisal Shazad Life Sentence: Times Square Bomber Faisal Shahzad Statement

Times Square bomber-wanna-be Faisal Shahzad has received a sentence of Life in Prison and has issued a statement making it clear why any Muslim-militant can NEVER be believed. Shazad is a naturalized American citizen. When asked about his pledge of allegiance to the U.S., Shahzad said "I did swear but I did not mean it." See a video below.

On May 1st Faisal Shahzad, 31, left a bomb in a 1993 Nissan Pathfiner and parked it in New York's busy Times Square. He walked away and waited for the explosion that never happened beyond a sputter.

He lit the fuse of his crude, homemade bomb, then fled on foot, pausing along the way to listen for the explosion that never came, court papers said.

A street vendor spotted smoke coming from the vehicle and alerted police, who quickly cleared the area. The bomb attempt set off an intense investigation that culminated two days later with investigators plucking Shahzad off a Dubai-bound plane at a New York airport.

Shazhad pleaded guilty, and said he hoped to kill at least forty people with the failed bomb which the FBI duplicated and said the explosion ripped a SUV in half, caused a huge fireball and "shredded" four other vehicles parked in the vicinity.

Unless the U.S. leaves Muslim lands alone, he warned, "we will be attacking U.S., and I plead guilty to that."

It is believed Shahzad married Huma Asif Mian in an "arranged" marriage on December 24, 2004. Mian was born in Colorado and recently graduated the University of Colorado with a degree in Accounting. Her father, Mohammad Asif Mian is a petroleum engineer "expert," who "registered Democrat," in Connecticut, will be incarcerated.  Shazhad told the court he believes only in Islamic Shariah law and Muslim "soldiers" will never accept democracy. There are reports that Huma Asif Mian fled to Pakistan.

GOP Generic Ballot 10-Point Lead

This has to hurt not only Democrats but their friends inside the Gallup organization. The GOP has a 10-point lead on the generic ballot - an "unprecedented" lead according to the pollster.

Republicans lead by 51% to 41% among registered voters in Gallup weekly tracking of 2010 congressional voting preferences. The 10-percentage-point lead is the GOP's largest so far this year and is its largest in Gallup's history of tracking the midterm generic ballot for Congress.

These results are based on aggregated data from registered voters surveyed Aug. 23-29 as part of Gallup Daily tracking. This marks the fifth week in a row in which Republicans have held an advantage over Democrats -- one that has ranged between 3 and 10 points.

The Republican leads of 6, 7, and 10 points this month are all higher than any previous midterm Republican advantage in Gallup's history of tracking the generic ballot, which dates to 1942. Prior to this year, the highest such gap was five points, measured in June 2002 and July 1994. Elections in both of these years resulted in significant Republican gains in House seats.

Babs Streisand No-Show Co-Host of Obama Fundraiser

Obama was the star at a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee fundraiser, and Babs Streisand and hubby James Brolin, who were loudly-announced co-hosts, were a no-show. Same with Jeffrey Katzenberg. Obama said the idea of the soiree was to "reward" those who took the tough votes. Video below.

Reports are mixed about the cost. Politico says the cost to co-host was $30,400 per couple, but CBS says the cost to attend was $30,400 per couple. The high dollar price gets the couple a photo taken with Obama.

Labor Secretary Hilda Solis was one of the celebrity co-hosts.  Did taxpayers fund the Solis opportunity to mix with Steven Spielberg and Judd Apatow, as well as have a photo taken with BO? I can come to close to guaranteeing that Solis didn't pay the fee out of her own pocket.

But, of course, the big news is that Babs didn't show - she who has taken every opportunity to cozy up to Democrat presidents - stayed home. Now that the news is out that Obama stole the election from Streisand's favorite, Hillary Clinton, maybe Babs has had enough. I know I've had enough of Barbra and James Brolin. Nameless Spending Bill Punishes States, Rewards Democrats

Like every piece of legislation coming out of Congress these days, the more you know about the Democrats "stimulus" bill with no name, the worse it gets. Today's editorial in the Wall Street Journal brings to light the worst parts of this bad bill.

Specifically, the bill stipulates that federal funds must supplement, not replace, state spending on education. Also, in each state, next year's spending on elementary and secondary education as a percentage of total state revenues must be equal to or greater than the previous year's level.

Governor Haley Barbour of Mississippi did the math and figured out his state will be worse off. Mr. Barbour says the bill will force his state "to rewrite its current year [fiscal 2011] budget. Preliminary estimates of the Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration show that we will now have to spend between $50-100 million of state funds—funds that must be taken away from public safety, human services, mental health and other state priorities and given to education—in order for an additional $98 million of federal funds to be granted to education. There is no justification for the federal government hijacking state budgets, but that is exactly what Congress has done."

That's not all. The legislation would actually force Texas legislators to violate their own constitution.

For Texas, and only Texas, this funding rule will be in place through 2013. This is a form of punishment because the Beltway crowd believes the Lone Star State didn't spend enough of its 2009 stimulus money. Apparently Texas politicians have been clinging to the quaint notion that the government should try to live within its means.

Texans also seem to have an old-fashioned appreciation for the rule of law. On Friday, 22 GOP Members of the state's Congressional delegation sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. "This provision would have Texas violate her own State Constitution," they wrote. "The Texas Legislature has sole authority to determine State appropriations. Moreover, one Legislature cannot bind a future Legislature. Requiring the State to assure that a future Texas Legislature would commit to spend funds in accordance with these provisions would violate the Texas Constitution."

Texas Governor Rick Perry is also opposed to this new "assistance" from the federal government. He understands that one-time payments that force permanently higher state obligations are a windfall for government employees. But if given the choice, taxpayers would just say no.

Of course, we keep hearing that it's all about "the children" and saving the jobs of teachers. But the Journal also goes on to note that a Michigan teachers union refused to concede to changes in its members' health plan. The concession would have reduced the cost of family coverage from $23,000 per year to $17,000. It's like going from a Mercedes to a Cadillac, but they would have none of that. Why would they, when Congress and President Obama were waiting in the wings, ready to send them taxpayer funds they can use to fund their exorbitant benefit packages, all the while sending money back to the Democrats to help finance their campaigns.

No wonder Obama can't get his approval ratings out of the gutter. He and his fellow Democrats are legislating from the gutter. No matter how much they spend, the economy keeps getting worse. The Fed announced more plans to "stimulate" the economy and the stock market responded with its worst day in over a month. So much for confidence. The trade deficit is getting worse and millions of unemployed Americans can't find jobs.

This graph shows that none of the so called stimulus has stimulated anything but poverty and dependence in America.



No wonder the Democrats don't want to run on their record. Who would?

Henry Waxman says Dems Hardest to Pull into Line Won't be Back After Elections: Waxman Republican Tyranny in Senate

Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) says the Democrats in the House who have been the toughest to "pull into line" won't win relection, making it easier for a Democrat House majority to control - yes he believes they will maintain control. But Henry is discouraged by the Senate's Republican "tyranny of 60 votes." Interesting in that Democrats never fail to make an issue of conservative talk of tyranny emanating from the White House.

Maintaining control means buying votes:

Waxman has rewarded loyalty to the Democratic agenda through his leadership political action committee, L.A. PAC. Each of the 14 donations of $5,000 the committee made after the final healthcare vote in March went to Democrats who voted yes. 

But buying the votes doesn't always work

A single contribution of a lesser amount, $3,000, was sent in April to Rep. Walt Minnick (D-Idaho), one of the party’s most vulnerable members, who voted against the bill. In January, Waxman gave $10,000 to Rep. Zack Space (D-Ohio), a month after he voted for the initial House version of healthcare reform. Two months later, Space voted against the final bill. 

And Waxman predicts a conundrum for Republicans:

“With the increased Republican margins, they won’t be able to act as if they have no responsibilities. I think they are going to be called on to be accountable … so that may produce opportunities for bipartisanship,” Waxman said.

Waxman is serving his 18th term in the House. His district included Hollyood, Malibue and Santa Monica. In 2009 he was considered the second most partisan Dem behind Pelosi

Toxic Obama to Stay Away from Democrat Campaigns: Obamas Voter Database Not Open to Rank and File

As Judgement Day nears, a toxic Barack Obama has promised nine Democrat members of the U.S. House  he will "stay away" from their campaigning if they prefer to keep him off the radar. He is inviting small contingents of Congress to lunch with him to "relieve tensions." Others wonder if Obama is vested in their return to Congress, and even whether he sees himself as the head of the Democrat party. This president is not sharing his considerable voter database with the rank-and-file.

Democrats up for election want to keep the focus on the "issues" and not on Obama. The delusional Left hasn't figured out that the "Obama issues" are the problem. Did I mention they still plan to blame Bush for everything to show that the November election is not a referendum on Obama.

Democrats who are on the ballot hope to make the election about issues other than Mr. Obama, including the benefits to their constituents of the health care and stimulus legislation and the argument that voting Republican means a return to the policies of President George W. Bush.

That line of thinking is largely shared inside the West Wing, where advisers are trying to determine the balance between using Mr. Obama to inspire voters and keeping him from becoming a defining negative presence. Already, Mr. Obama is popping up more as a target in Republican campaign advertisements than as a positive presence in Democratic ones.

Others say their requests for fundraisers with the Prez "get lost in the bureaucracy:

And members of Congress have raised objections for not being notified that grants or federal projects would be announced in their districts.

In other words, all the glory goes to the Dictator, and a Dictator doesn't need a "Party."

I can't wait for their August Townhalls, when constituents across the country let these lame-brained politicians know that health care and the stimulus are the issue, and their vote for both will send them home next January.

Conversations like this one leave me speechless. I'll address just one point: Mike Wallace zings Newt for saying Supreme Court Justice, then nominee, Sonia Sotomayor was racist. Sotomayor was absolutely racist. She is a member of LaRaza which wants to take and claim the lower half of the U.S. for Hispanics, and that's not the only evidence of racism. About Shirley Sherrod, Howard Dean doesn't care about the facts in the Sherrod case, and continues to maintain that Fox News is responsible for her firing - it's hilarious. Mike Wallace over and over states the facts. Dean doesn't care. Note that Dean seems surprised that Fox News didn't talk about Shirley Sherrod or air the video until she had been fired and it was widely known that the White House was behind her firing. Democrats don't know &^$#)@*. Apparently they never read anything except their mainstream White House-controlled propaganda squad.

Scott Brown: Why Do I Always Have to Vote with Democrats?

Senator Scott Brown asks "Why is it that I'm always the one that has to vote with the Democrats?" If he isn't regretting that question now, he should be.  How revealing is that? Why would Senator Brown want to reach across the aisle to Democrats when they never reach back, and the bigger question, why would he extend a hand to unconstitutional legislation?

This Boston.com article says Republicans haven't supported Brown's alternative to the Democrat's extended unemployment benefits bill. Can it be that Republicans have offered the same over and over and always been ignored? Republicans want the extended benefits paid for with available unused stimulus funds.

“Why is it that I’m always the one that has to vote with the Democrats?’’ Brown lamented. “Bipartisanship is a two-way street, you know? Why can’t they also work together to pay for these things within the budget, within the monies that we already have? Why is it that we always have to add to the deficit?’’

 To that question in the bold type above, we don't have "to add to the deficit" unless RINOs vote with Democrats. Brown apparently doesn't watch the news, and apparently doesn't have an historical clue. Democrats have made it clear they will not pay for extended benefits. Brown says the $35 billion unspent stimulus is a D.C. slush fund, but he appears shocked that Democrats will not capitulate and actually take a portion of a Republican idea. I'm guessing some of the unused stimulus money will somehow make it to some needy Liberal's campaign war chest.

We've been watching this sideshow for years. Democrats never reach across the aisle. Perhaps that's why he is "always the one that has to vote with Democrats." Shameful! Maybe he was misquoted? What do you think? Thanks to Fox Nation and Weasel Zippers who had a very nice link there today.

Barb Davis White is Keith Ellison's Challenger: The Strangest 2010 Election Story!

This is one of the strangest stories of the 2010 elections. Barb Davis White, a Republican, conservative, pro-life constitutionalists candidate for Minnesota's  5th Congressional District has just filed as a Democrat to face the first of two Muslims in the U.S. Congress, Keith Ellison (D-Minn-5th) in November 2010. Why would a true conservative file as a Democrat? The Minnesota GOP endorsed Joel Demos, a Pentecostal minister. More on Demos coming. See two videos below.

In 2008, White lost to Ellison, but she received 25% of the Republican vote and the highest percentage of any Republican on the ballot. With the state GOP behind Demos, White decided to run as an Independent, but no one candidate won the 60% of delegate votes at the nominating convention on May 20th. 

White says as she canvassed the 5th District, she found many Democrats wanting a choice other than Keith Ellison. In the video below, she says these Democrats know she is a pro-life, conservative, constitutionalists.

Nothing I read explains why the GOP would step out for Joel Demos. Most of what I read believes he hasn't a chance against Ellison. Some believe Barb White Davis isn't in the Jesse-Ventura-mold, and that's her problem with the state party.

Barb's plan is this: She is running as an Independent Democrat. She talked to Democrat neighbors. They want a choice in the August primary. Barb plans to knock Ellison off of the ballot. She plans to give the Democrats the choice they are seeking - anyone other than Keith Ellison.

White is active with various tea parties, attending many events and speaking at many events. She is endorsed by Change the Congress in 2010.

In February, Ms. White, who opposes same-sex marriage, grabbed national attention when she said "Rosa Parks did move to the front of the bus to support sodomy," and then she offered this:

There is no difference between a black person and a white person other than their skin color when there's a tremendous difference between a man and a woman. Allowing a black woman and a white man to marry does not change the definition of marriage. However, allowing two men or two women to marry would fundamentally change that definition."

Endorsing Demos for Congress in Minnesota’s 5th CD was the Minnesota GOP’s first big mistake of the 2010 election cycle.

Barb Davis White, the 2008 GOP endorsed candidate in Minnesota’s 5th CD for Congress would have been a “feather in the cap” of the Minnesota GOP if they would of made a commitment to Ms. White, her campaign staff and the community. The arrogance and exclusion of conversations with Barb, who received almost 25% of the votes in 2008 – more than any other endorsed Republican running for Congress in Minnesota’s 5th CD was a heinous and reckless over-sight by the leadership of Minnesota’s Republican Party. If the Minnesota GOP would back Barb Davis White, now that former chairman Ron Carey is gone (or lurking with the intent to participate) – Barb Davis White can beat Ellison in 2010. People in Minnesota’s 5th congressional district will see a benefit to not vote “R” or “D” and send a message to big party madness.

At this point, I know nothing about Demos except reading some opinions around the blogs. More on him to come.

We'll see where this goes, and I'll add info as it becomes available. The thing is, someone must remove Keith Ellison from Congress.

Now a word about Keith Ellison:

Keith Ellison and Barack Obama

Keith Ellison, who is also Keith Hakim, is the first Muslim to be sent to Congress from any state, and the first to be sworn on the Koran. He is an attorney, a Democrat and an Black convert to Islam. He was raised Roman Catholic in Detroit and is a supporter of the Nation of Islam's leader, Louis Farrakhan (aka Louis Eugene Walcott).

According to GovTrack, Ellison is a "far-left Democrat." Find some informative links about Ellison's donors and connections to the Muslim Brotherhood here.

Ellison is a fundraiser for the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). Nihad Awad, the head of CAIR and James Yee, a Muslim Guantanamo cleric were featured speakers at Ellison's Congressional fundraiser.

The fact that the FBI has broken all ties with CAIR, saying CAIR is not "an appropriate liasion partner," should be enough to divert Keith Ellison's affection for the organization. This report quotes an FBI assistant director, Richard C. Powers, saying the FBI is unsure whether the relationship between CAIR and Hamas ever was severed. So, with all of CAIR's presence on Capitol Hill, with their mammoth media blitzs and lobbying efforts, with their denial of terrorist ties, the FBI cannot support their claims...yet CAIR continues to walk the halls of Congress...and Keith Ellison continues to support the organization.

The question is, who can unseat Keith Ellison? Thanks to Creeping Shariah

Sharron Angle Sean Hannity Video: Sharron Angle: The Right Contract with America is U.S. Constitution

Nevada Republican Senate candidate, Sharron Angle, will face Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) in the November elections, or better put, Reid will face Angle. Sharron Angle

Reid has announced that he is proud of his record, he defends his earmarks, in a time of obscene spending, and he's crazy for Barack Obama. I can't wait for Obama to trek to Las Vegas to stump for Harry. It is widely believed that Billy-Bob Clinton saved Senator Blanche Lincoln's bacon in Arkansas. Billy hasn't felt so good about himself since Monica flipped her thong in the Oval Office, but he will be on the campaign trail with Dingy Harry.

The man Democrats are calling the most powerful man in the Senate is under 50% in the polls. This from the Wall Street Journal:

...a new poll [June 12th] out by Rasmussen shows Ms. Angle jumping to an 11-point lead over the incumbent [Harry Reid]...Eighty-eight percent of Republicans support her compared to a mere 68% of Democrats who back Mr. Reid. Independents also favor her by 10 points. 

Here's the good stuff: Angle supports the Oath Keepers, a group in law enforcement who are audacious enough to pledge to protect citizens against governmental unconstitutional acts - such as subverting the second amendment, violating a state's sovereignty and, or carrying out a governmental blockade of American cities. That's the agenda of a true constitutionalists.

Angle's angle is to take us out of the U.N. Music to my ears. On the count of three...all together now, Get the U.S. out of the U.N., and the U.N. out of the U.S.

Be still my heart: She wants to privatize Social Security and dump the Departments of Energy and Education' repeal the 16th Amendment which enslaved Americans with the federal income tax and maybe, institute a Flat tax. Angle does not plan to leave us taxless. Puhleeeese! All of you constipated idiots out there opining that she would "make it impossible for the government to work," grow up. Both Fair and Flat tax experts show how it be done, and be revenue neutral.

Ms. Angle had the endorsement of many of the Tea Parties, and The Club for Growth.

Believe me, Americans are thirsty for a Sharron Angle. Harry Reid doesn't know what's coming at him, his Democrat money be damned, but HuffPo says Angle is providing a "treasure chest of goodies" for Dirty Harry. The naivete, or maybe fear, is as thick as $100 bills in a Nevada casino.

Friends, we have to send our money to Sharron Angle. She campaigned out of her house. I know she will be respectful of our money, and use it to get the job done. Nevadans will be buried in television spots for Reid. Mark Levin Alvin Greene: Jim Clyburn - Greene is a Democrat Plant: Clyburn calls for DOJ Investigation

Mark Levin, the Great One, interviewed Alvin Greene the very controversial Democrat who won the South Carolina Senate primary. Greene, reportedly a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Political Science, defeated his Democrat opponent, Vic Rawl, who is a judge and a former South Carolina state lawmaker. Some think he won because his name starts with an "A." South Carolina Congressman Jim Clyburn thinks Greene is a Republican plant. He has asked DOJ to investigate. Yeah, he really did. Alvin M. Greene

Greene might be controversial for several reasons. First might be that he is charged with showing obscene photos to a female student, Camille McCoy, inside the computer lab of the University of South Carolina. Felony charges are pending. Greene won't talk about it. The girl has. See the second video below.

Greene, 32, was honorably discharged from the military, but involuntarily. He is a veteran of 13 years in the Air Force and the Army. He "left" the Air Force in August 2009. Greene won't talk about his military service.

Off topic, but oh well...this sounds like the flip side of Michelle Obama's law license.  All evidence indicates Michelle voluntarily rendered her law license inactive under Rule 770-771 and avoided disciplinary action, possibly disbarment. In the event she wants her license back, she has to begin the process of a "hearing and review" again.

Back to Alvin Greene.

An embarrassed Democrat party says Greene is a Republican plant. Levin pushes him on it and he says he has been a Democrat all of his life and is definitely not a Republican plant. Democrat Congressman James Clyburn, who is always good for a few laughs, and a couple of barf bags each year, has asked the Department of Justice to investigate. Actually, that's no laughing matter because the DOJ is as corrupt and partisan as Code Pink. Maybe we should be concerned.

No one knows where he got the money to run. He says he saved the $10,440 filing fee by saving two years of his military pay.  Levin asks him about it and he repeats that he saved in while enlisted. He didn't campaign, doesn't have a website - or a cell phone. He had no consultants and didn't plant a single yard sign...has $114 in the bank, but won the primary.

Now this is just a rumor. I saw a comment somewhere which shall remain anonymous, who said Greene worked for him in the Air Force and his discharge was an Administrative discharge - saying that Greene was incompetent and couldn't accomplish the simplest of tasks. That's a relief. Greene should do just fine on the Democrat side of the Senate.

In November, Greene will run against Republican icon, Senator Jim DeMint, one of the finest souls in the Senate - actually in the entire city of Washington, D.C. The Washington Post muses that Greene won the primary because his first name, Alvin, starts with an "A." Let the circus begin.
