Burt Reynolds Loni Anderson: Burt and Loni Reuniting

A new TV show will star formerly married, now 16 years divorced, Burt Reynolds and Loni Anderson.

In a replay of real life, the once-feuding couple will play bickering seniors living in a retirement home - and the show will be scripted by famed All in the Familycreator Norman Lear, The ENQUIRER learned exclusively.

Both Burt. 74 and  Loni, 65,  are veterans of sitcom hits. 

Loni was the busty blonde hottie of WKRP in Cincinnati. And Burt made Evening Shade a hit.

During the Burt and Loni marriage, they adopted a son, Quinton Anderson Reynolds, who would be about 22 years old now. It appears that Burt has not remarried after his divorce from Anderson. Loni married Bob Flick, a founding member of The Brother Four folk band, in May 2008.

There are reports that Reynolds had quintuple bypass surgery in March of this year.  Just dreadful that the new show will be filmed in a "retirement home." No word yet on which network will air the episodes. Source for news of the upcoming show: National Enquirer

But, that's not all the Enquirer has to say about this pair. In an August 2010 article. Apparently Reynolds had to enter "alcohol and pain pill rehab in 2009 after collapsing at his home in Hobe Sound, FL. Loni said he owned her $400,000 in back child support. She said she felt sorry for him, and did not want to tag him a "deadbeat dad."

His child support was set at $4,000 a month, which Anderson said was only paid sporadically, although he made more than 20 movies since their divorce. So now we get the story. Loni would not demean the man she hopes to have a TV hit with, and perhaps a part of his pay check will go to Anderson. See the Enquirer article.

Zsa Zsa Gabor Plastinated? Frederic von Anhalt wants Zsa Zsa's Body Plastinated

I don't really know how a body gets plastinated, but I some vague, unpleasant visuals. Ninety-three year old Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband, Frederic von Anhalt says he wants to preserve her beauty by plastination after she dies. See a video below.

Zsa Zsa is back in the hospital in critical condition. She requested last rights several weeks ago. You may remember that von Anhalt thought he was in the running for the biological father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby daughter but Larry Birkhead won that one after a DNA test. Von Anhalt wants to plastinate his wife's" body in the context of a scene in one of her films"

Von Anhalt is about 68 years old. In his 40's he was adopted by Princess Marie-Auguste of Anhalt who was the daughter-in-law of Kaiser Wilhelm II. After von Anhalt's marriage to Zsa Zsa in 1986 they adopted together, "several men." The "adoptions" grant the men the use of the word "Prince von Anhalt," or Prinz von Anhalt along whatever other name they use. German newspapers have accused Frederic of "selling" the title he received from Marie-Auguste.

In 2007 Frederic von Anhalt says he was robbed and stripped of all clothing, at gunpoint, by three "attractive" women. He said he was bound and handcuffed, although he called police on a cell phone.

Absurd Quote of the Day: Obamas "Rare" Bow to Hollywood

An online site reporting yesterday that Obama would appear at a fundraiser with Hollywood moguls, said his appearance would be "a rare bow" to Hollywood. I have to ask if writer Ira Teinowitz lives on this planet. Ira, just google the Hollywood types routinely invited to the White House to lobby or enjoy taxpayer cocktails...please. However, the event for Obama last night was likely an uncomfortable moment for some, as Hollywood has been silently falling away from their support of The One, or have they? Perhaps an example: co-host of the event Barbra Streisand was a no-show.

Zoe Saldana New "N" Word: Zoe Saldana Avatar Star says Hollywood is Racist:

Zoe Saldana, the love interest in Avatar, says there's a new "n" word in Hollywood. She is told she's "too dark." Filmmakers want to go more "traditional," she said. "Traditional," according to Zoe, is the new "n" word. So where's the lawsuits? Where are the claims of racial discrimination in Hollywood?

It is quite a claim to say that Hollywood, the Leftist center of the United States (behind San Francisco), would demand "tradition" meaning "white" when casting their films. They can't sell a black or brown woman as white? Avatar director, James Cameron, needed a brown or darker woman for Avatar, so the beautiful Zoe got the job. But had her skin been lighter - I guess not. Cameron could have told us Saldana is white. That should have taken care of the problem.

This is how it works in Hollywood: Cameron tells us global warming is real, we scoff, he calls us a**holes. Tom Hanks says America's defense against Japan was racist and terrorist, says we were suicide bombers in the air, and thinks he is a history genius. We won't be seeing his movies.

I'm waiting for Cameron's film casting a fair-skinned blonde as a black women, or a black women as a fair-skinned blonde. Just give us some 3-D glasses and tell us that black woman is white. Let's even the playing field.

So, if casting calls are for "traditional" women, meaning white, that's ironic. Hollywood despises tradition. Saldana says when she is told she "looks dark," she asks "Dark compared to whom? This is just my skin." So where are the lawsuits against Hollywood producers? Any white-owned-business outside of the film industry would be defending in court against discrimination suits, constantly until it ruined them, if they refused to hire minorities because a minority presence might affect their bottom line.

...the difference between Hollywood and the real world is that for whatever reason the entertainment industry is allowed to openly discriminate. If some racist producer believes casting a black actress as the love interest opposite a white man will damage the film’s profitability, he or she is free to not offer an actress like Saldana the job based solely on her skin color and his selfish desire to maximize profits.

On the other hand, if some racist producer wants to pick up market share in Mexico, he’ll openly discriminate against a white actor in order to hire a Mexican actor. This is another purely mercenary hiring decision based solely on race and profit.

McDonald’s could decide that the best way to improve market share in certain neighborhoods is to hire only hot-looking cooks and cashiers of a certain skin color. They could also empirically prove that this Hollywood-ish hiring decision brought them higher profits. They’re still going to be sued dry. 

But Hollywood’s a special place above the laws you and I and every other business in America must abide by. In order to increase profits, they’re allowed to be just as racist and sexist as they accuse everyone else of being.

Just because you call it “demographics” doesn’t mean it’s not prejudice.

Zoe Saldana's father is Dominican and her mother Puerto Rican. She was born in New Jersey and raised in Queen, New York.  At the age of ten, she moved with ther family to the Dominican Republic and lived there for 7 years before returning to the U.S. 

Glenn Beck on Tom Hanks' Military Annihilation Accusations

First, a word from Tom Hanks:

Pacific, now, is coming out where it represents a war of racism and terror. It seemed as though the only way to complete one of these battles on a small speck of rock, in the middle of nowhere, is to, I'm sorry, Kill them all. Does that sound familiar with what we are going through today.

Is this what schools teach today? Is this what young adults believe the War in the Pacific was all about?

Japan was set to expand into Asia to countries that did not welcome her. She needed oil. No one  assumed she would not find the oil and take it. There were many complexities in Japan's relations with Britain and France, which complicated matters in the U.S.  Once Japan replaced the Peace Party with their War Party, the stage was set. The plan was to seize the oil fields in the Indies, and they saw the U.S. as an enemy in that endeavor. So they attacked Pearl Harbor.  How is this argued any other way?

America had two choices to end the war. Invade Japan or drop the bombs. An invasion was estimated to leave 35% of our landing forces dead - at least, depending on the size of the Japanese forces greeting us. Civilians were in training to join the fighting forces. Estimates of the dead including both Japanese and American forces were estimated at 250,000 to five million. Some 105,000 people perished in the explosions in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The original purpose of the atomic bomb was to clear the beaches for a land invasion, so had the war not ended with the bombings of two cities, the bombs would likely have been used on the beaches. And Americans would have died.

Is Hanks' case that after the Japanese attacked us at Pearl Harbor, American soldiers should have, in the end, laid down their lives for the Japanese, rather than ending the war. Apparently, that is what he thinks.

Had we wanted to "kill them all," we could have killed them all. Instead we killed fewer, while they were killing us. If we wanted to "kill them all" today, we could do so. Obviously, that is not our goal. We are building schools, hospitals, electrical grids and water plants. None of which worked for the people under Saddam Hussein.

It deeply offends me that Tom Hanks says the war with Japan was about racism and terror, and that today, we want to "kill them all," as our own soldiers have been blown apart trying to make Iraqi towns safe for the people.

These days, Sean Penn is more palatable than Tom Hanks.

Back in World War II, we viewed the Japanese as 'yellow, slant-eyed dogs' that believed in different gods. They were out to kiss us because our way of living was different. We, in turn, wanted to annihilate them because they were different. Does that sound familiar, by any chance, to what's going on today?"

I read a comment saying that Tom Hanks' had more in common with Forrest Gump than we could imagine, but Forrest was a patriot. He didn't make stuff up. It was what it was, and it wasn't what Tom Hanks says it was.

The video below is Glenn Beck with radio sidekicks Pat and Stu. This is a longer discussion but one worth having and listening to. Beck makes the point that America must begin looking out for herself. The way we do that is strike a lethal blow when we are struck, get back to our lives as quickly as possible - and in the main, quit protecting those able to protect themselves.
