Thin-Skinned, Bratish President Treated Like a Dog

Obama speaking in Milwaukee today explained how he will stimulate the economy, yet again, for a bargain basement price of $50,000,000,000 taxpayers dollars.  But this juvenile thumb-sucking president denigrated and insulted dogs everywhere by whining that Republicans "talk about me like a dog." No examples were offered. New video added.

Treated Like a Dog - Get it at Zazzle

Democrats must know if they vote for this thing, their career as a public extortioner is over.

But then Ed Morrissey at Hot Air differs:
Don’t be too sure it won’t pass Congress before November.  Transportation bills like this give Capitol Hill denizens plenty of opportunity to get pork for their home districts and states.  In this election cycle, pork may be all Democrats can use as an argument for re-election.  They certainly larded the first stimulus bill with plenty of home-town pork, and with $50 billion more in borrowed cash, don’t expect them to be shy the second time around.
However, don’t expect it to work, either.  The original Porkulus had $105 billion in so-called “infrastructure investments,” and none of it produced any economic growth.  Transportation accounted for $48 billion; energy infrastructure and R&D got the same amount of money.  Housing got $10 billion.  Front loaded or not, the money got allocated and borrowed, and we’re back to flatlining economic growth just eighteen months later — only now we have a lot more debt on top of the other problems we had.
From the Green Room, Doctor Zero:
President Obama “unveiled” his new “stimulus” plan in Wisconsin today.  It was a lot like watching an alcoholic unveil his new plan to get sober by switching to lite beer
But Daily Kos writer Joan McCarter, believes this is excellent news - "a solid, job-creating policy," she says, and even provides a White House "fact sheet" for us.  Republicans will have a tough time talking this one down according to McCarter.

I'm keeping my money on this expenditure failing, and I call on Obama to apologize to dogs everywhere. By the way, Wisconsin Senator Russ Feingold (D) was a no-show for the Obama speech. He wanted none of it. Remember when O referred to himself as 'Mutt?'  Source

Democrat Hit List Targets BP Republicans

Get this. Democrats have added five Republican senators to their "hit list," naming them BP Republicans. Nevermind that Barack Obama received the biggest donation of anyone in Congress from BP, and millions arrived in the warchests of prominent Democrats. Ah, none of that has anything to do with "the list." The list is merely...convenient - and targets hotly contested seats. To be clear (as Obama would say), it really has nothing to do with BP, and everything to do with a Democrat smear. Democrat funds will flood into these races. Read below what you can do about it.

Democrat Hit List

The Liberal battle cry ringing forth: "stop standing in the way and start working with President Obama and Democrats," the list names a Republican senator and a Republican congressman Sen. David Vitter (LA) and Rep. Joe Barton (TX). The remaining three are candidates trying to unseat Democrats: Candidates for the Senate, Ron Johnson (WI), Dino Rossi (WA) and Pat Toomey (PA).

Previously designated BP Republicans are Rep. Joe Barton (TX) and candidates for the Senate, Sharron Angle (NV) and Rand Paul (KY).

Let's keep these people on our donations list - as little or as much as possible to give. If you have not made online donations before, it is very, very easy. It is safe and your name can be kept private. It takes about 2 minutes, no longer. Every cent counts, and if you do donate, please put a notation that you are donating with the Ten Buck Friday bloggers and readers. No on in Ten Buck Fridays benefits in any way by the donations made. Our Internet presence can be a force for great good. By the time November rolls around, let's make our candidates aware that we are here, working for them, knowing they will be working for us.

Kopps Custard Manager Asks Biden to Lower Taxes: Joe Ignores Him - Eats his Free Ice Cream

What a jerk. Joe Biden was in Greenfield, Wisconsin for a fundraiser for Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WI). He and his entourage stop by Kopp's Custard Stand. Biden donns a two-corner hat, gets behind the counter and does something unuseful. We see him with a cone of yummy-looking frozen custard. He loses the hat and tries to pay. The smiling Manager tells him the custard is comp'd, then asks Biden to "lower taxes." Biden doesn't even look the guy's way. He completely ignores him and walks away. Arrogant, rude, brutish and uncalled for behavior. Update: see second video below, in which Real Clear Politics says Biden called the Manager a "smartass."

Peggy West Arizona Long Way From Border: Milwaukee Embarrassment

Not only does Peggy West, a Milwaukee County Supervisor, not know that Arizona is "not a ways removed" from the Mexico border, she thinks Jan Brewer's fruitless photo op with Obama means Brewer actually had the concern of this bloodless President. Watch the video.

Brewer has phoned, emailed, faxed and traveled to Washington DC to get Obama's attention. She sat with him and they were photographed. He promised an answer to her plea for help to control the wild border Arizonans deal with every day. At the end of the two weeks, Brewer heard from a foreign television station of Obama's DOJ plan to sue the state, and now this. Check this out. This is the second part of the answer to the good people of Arizona.

TucsonCitizen says Peggy West is a Democrat.

Sean Duffy Sarah Palin: Palin Endorses Sean Duffy: TVs Sean Duffy Challenges Dave Obey

Sean Duffy is challenging Congressman Dave Obey (D-WI) for his Wisconsin 7th District House seat. Duffy, a Real World Boston TV participant some 13 years ago, has received the endorsement of former Governor Sarah Palin, who says Duffy is a "solid fiscal conservative."

Sean Duffy

Duffy, 38, a former 1997 Real-World-Boston contestant, is currently serving as Ashland County's DA. Palin endorsed him on Facebook, and now Duffy has the distinction of raising more campaign money than any recent Obey challenger.

Sean and Rachel Campos-Duffy and family

Dave Obey, referred to by Palin as a "Liberal Goliath," introduced the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 - also known as the Stimulus Bill.

Duffy is married to Rachel Campos-Duffy and they have 5 children - a 6th is on the way.  Mrs. Duffy is a columnist for Parentdish.com. Sean is the tenth of eleven children, born and raised in Hayward, Wisconsin. He is a three-time world Lumberjack champion, and began the sport at the age of 5. His first world champsionship came at age 18. In 2004 he named the Honorary Athlete of the Wisconsin Badger Games, and he paid for a portion of college and law school by appearing in the Scheer's Lumberjack Show. His children are taught to logroll as soon as they are old enough. Visit his website to see an adorable little boy and girl doing just that.

Duffy says he cuts his own wood every fall, has and tends a vegetable garden, likes to iron his own shirts and his favorite movie is Braveheart.

In contrast to his Democrat opponent who has held his seat since 1969, Duffy says "he was a congressman during Woodstock." Duffy had not yet been born when Obey took office.

Did I mention that Sarah Palin has endorsed Sean Duffy? Read more about her endorsement at Texas for Sarah Palin. Here's a snippet from Sarah:
In this election year, we'll see many daring Davids take on entrenched Goliaths. Just one of these many brave souls is a northern Wisconsin patriot named Sean Duffy. He's running in Wisconsin's 7th congressional district against a liberal Goliath who's been in Congress over 40 years now and has the dubious distinction of being the author of the stimulus bill....If you're frustrated about the waste in the stimulus bill, please support a solid fiscal conservative who will work to repeal it.

Paul Ryan Questions Obama on Budget: Obama Runs for the Hills

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) questioned President Obama about the budget today at the Republican's Balitmore Conference. The short story is, Ryan asked the President  how he justifies building-in an 84% increase to the 2009 budget, and then freezing the 2011 budget, on top of the increase.

Paul Ryan

The President tried to spin the increase as a function of "automatic stablizers" kicking in due to the "enormous recession," and would have kicked in with any President. After a couple of pages of Obama's response, Ryan ends with this:
RYAN: I would simply say that automatic stabilizer spending is mandatory spending. The discretionary spending, the bills that Congresses signs -- that you sign into law, that has increased 84 percent. So . .
OBAMA: We'll have a -- we'll have a longer debate on the budget numbers there, all right?
Ryan is smart enough no to hold his breath. Read the entire transcript here.
