Farooque Ahmed Arrested for Planning Multiple Bombings in D.C. area

The Department of Justice has announced the arrest of Farooque Ahmed for planning to assist in multiple bombings at Metrorail stations in the Washington, D.C. area. He is believed to have ties to al-Qaeda. Another naturalized Muslim plans targets his country. Watch for updates and photos when available.

Ahmed, 34, is from Ashburn, Virginia. He said he planned to kill as many people as he could, and on the list of places to bomb is the metro station close to Arlington Cemetery.

"It’s chilling that a man from Ashburn is accused of casing rail stations with the goal of killing as many Metro riders as possible through simultaneous bomb attacks," said U.S. Attorney Neil H. MacBride. "Today’s arrest highlights the terrorism threat that exists in Northern Virginia and our ability to find those seeking to harm U.S. citizens and neutralize them before they can act. We are grateful for the outstanding work of the FBI in detecting and disrupting this plot."

Yesterday, a federal grand jury in Alexandria, Va., returned a three-count indictment against Ahmed, a naturalized U.S. citizen born in Pakistan, charging him with attempting to provide material support to a designated terrorist organization, collecting information to assist in planning a terrorist attack on a transit facility, and attempting to provide material support to help carry out multiple bombings to cause mass casualties at D.C.-area Metrorail stations. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 50 years in prison.

Ahmed will make his first appearance before a judge at 2 pm EDT today.

According to the indictment, from April 2010 through Oct. 25, 2010, Ahmed attempted to assist others whom he believed to be members of al-Qaeda in planning multiple bombings to cause mass casualties at Metrorail stations. On April 18, 2010, Ahmed allegedly drove to a hotel in Dulles, Va., and met with a courier he believed to be affiliated with a terrorist organization who provided Ahmed with a document that provided potential locations at which future meetings could be arranged. On or about May 15, 2010, at a hotel in Herndon, Va., Ahmed allegedly agreed to watch and photograph another hotel in Washington, D.C., and a Metrorail station in Arlington, Va., to obtain information about their security and busiest periods.

According to the indictment, Ahmed allegedly participated in surveillance and recorded video images of Metrorail stations in Arlington, Va., on four occasions. On or about July 19, 2010, in a hotel room in Sterling, Va., Ahmed allegedly handed a memory stick containing video images of a Metrorail station in Arlington to an individual whom Ahmed believed to be affiliated with al-Qaeda. On that same day, Ahmed allegedly agreed to assess the security of two other Metrorail stations in Arlington as locations of terrorist attacks.

The indictment further alleges that, on or about Sept. 28, 2010, in a hotel room in Herndon, Ahmed handed a USB drive containing images of two Metrorail stations in Arlington to an individual whom Ahmed believed to be affiliated with al-Qaeda.

According to the indictment, on or about Sept. 28, 2010, Ahmed provided to an individual whom he believed to be affiliated with al-Qaeda diagrams that Ahmed drew of three Metrorail stations in Arlington and provided suggestions as to where explosives should be placed on trains in Metrorail stations in Arlington to kill the most people in simultaneous attacks planned for 2011.

Krystal Ball Raunchy Photos: Democrat US Senate Candidate Krystal Ball's Porn Pics Posted

Krystal Ball, a Virginia Democrat running for a US Senate seat, says a conservative blogger published "sexist" photos of her doing something "orally" to a Rudolph the Reindeer phallic shaped nose worn by her ex-husband, as she moved around at a party with her husband on a leash. The Daily mail reports that Ball said she cannot rule out that the photos were posted to her own Facebook or Twitter page, by her own hand.

She, of course, is "shocked,""angry" and blames her Republican opponent, Congressman Rob Wittman who said he has nothing to do with it and has asked that the pic be removed from the Internet.

I would have some sympathy for Ball, considering the photos were supposedly taken at a private Halloween party about 6 years ago. However, Ball believes it just might be possible that she, herself, posted the photos to social networking sites. If she didn't, she apparently might have, or she would have said, hey I would never, never post those pics. My sympathy empathy quickly dissapated. See the photos here. Source.

Elias Abuelazam Palestinian Arab Killer of Blacks: Antwoine Marshall I.D.s Elias Abuelazam

Elias Abuelazam, also known as Elias Abullazam, has been arrested and is believed to be a Palestinian Arab, perhaps previously residing in Israel...after first being reported to be White...and then Jewish. It is possible he is a Palestinian Christian..., and then again, maybe not. While he has not been charged, he is believed to be a serial killer of Blacks, suspected of some 20 stabbings. Antwoine Marshall, the first victim, identified an FBI photo in the early morning hours today. Five of the 20 did not survive. Police believe the attacks are racially motivated, and it is important to note that law enforcement authorities have not formally charged Elias Abuelazam/Abullazam.

Haaretz reports that Abuelazam is an Israeli citizen, formerly living in Ramle, Israel. The report says that he was living legally in the U.S. with a green card, and recently visited Israel for the wedding of a sister. Note that Haaretz says nothing about Abuelazam being Christian.

One Ramle resident said Abuelazam left Israel at age 19 or 20 after finishing high school.

Another resident said Abuelazam was orphaned by his father at a young age.

The resident added that Abuelazam was allegedly involved with criminals and had a violent streak, which led his mother to send him abroad.

However, other neighbors who studied with Abuelazam in high school said he avoided violence, despite his physical build. They added, however, that Abuelazam seemed to have undergone significant changes during his recent visit to Israel.

A., a former neighbor and classmate, said Abuelazam was pleasant during the time they studied together, but that lately he would picks fights with "anyone who looked him in the eye."

He added when Abuelazam got angry, it took three people to restrain him.

"In recent years he experienced something that changed him entirely. He started using drugs, so his family sent him abroad."

Other rumors in Ramle alleged that Abuelazam engaged in relationships with older women in the U.S. who then supported him financially.

Elias Abuelazam married American Jessica Hirth in mid-2004. They were married for three years and divorced in 2007. His former mother-in-law, Kimberly Hirth said Abuelazam "was just the sweetest guy." At the time of the marriage, he worked at the Piedmont Behavioral Health Center (now Northridge Behaviorial Healthcare). Jessica Hirth has remarried and is now Jessica Nimitz. Abuelazam has a sister living in Leesburg, Virginia.

The attacker has consistently been described as a tall, muscular white man who often wears a baseball cap. He often gets close to victims by asking for directions or for help with his car; other times he says nothing at all while he approaches his targets from behind. All of the victims were alone when they were attacked.

Abuelazam, 33,  was arrested at the Atlanta airport as he tried to board a Delta Flight 152 to Tel Aviv, Israel. He left a wake of victims in Michigan, Virginia, and Ohio. The first stabbing victim survived the attack and was visited by the FBI this morning, shown a photo of Elias Abuelazam and was able to identify him as his attacker. In this report, posted at 2:23 PM CDT, he is still identified as an Israeli.

The attacks began surfacing in late spring, and picked up the pace as the stabber traversed the country.

Police have said they usually follow a pattern: The suspect approaches black men late at night on lonely urban roads and asks for directions or help with a broken-down car. Then, without warning, he pulls out a knife and strikes. Then, he speeds away in his vehicle, leaving them for dead.

The brazen nature and the frequency of the attacks -- the assailant has struck an average of about once every four days since the first stabbing in May -- has terrified some of those in cities he's already targeted.

The youngest victim was 17; the oldest was 60. They ranged in size from 5-foot-4 inches and 120 pounds to 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds.

Sixteen stabbings of the 20 attacks happened in Flint, Michigan, where Abuelazam worked in a convenience store. He was stopped for a traffic violation in Arlington, Virginia last week. He was "wanted on a simple assault warrant in Leesburg," Virginia but was released on his own recognizance. He has a string of mishaps with the law, including an arrest in December 2007 for felony gun possession. Those charges were dropped in 2008.

Once a Green Chevy Blazer became the focus of the hunt, Abuelazam's time as a free man and a killer shortened considerably.

Abuelazam asked his first known victim, Antwoine Marshall, to help him with his green SUV. He was stabbed twice as he opened the hood of the car. The stabbing cut three of his organs. He has a long scar from his chest to his pelvic area.

On August 3rd a Leesburg, Virginia teenager was stabbed in the back while jogging. A few days later a 67-year-old man in the same area was stabbed while sitting on the steps of his apartment. On August 6th Abuelazam again asked a man to help fix his green SUV. He hit the helper in the head with a hammer. That attack was recorded by a nearby security camera.

A Flint, Michigan neighbor said she noticed the green Chevy Blazer in the driveway of a house, but did not call the police because he was "a dark Middle Eastern man," and descriptions always said the man wanted was White.

Other than the articles linked herein, there is not a lot of confirmation about who Elias Abuelazam is, if he indeed lived in Israel as an Arab citizen, and certainly little confirming that he is Christian. Updates coming as available.

Adrian Lamo apparently spoke to several people about Manning, but it was Webster who made the contact with the Army, who then contacted Lamo. Three days after Lamo called Webster, Manning was detained in Kuwait on May 29th.

Bradley Manning is being held at the Marine base at Quantico, Virginia. WikiLeaks and Courage to Resist say they will supplement up to $100,000 for a civilian attorney to work with Manning's Military attorney.

A protest in support of Manning is expected at Quantico tomorrow (Sunday, August 8th), with Code Pink leading the way. According to an email I received Gathering of Eagles will also be there to greet the Pinkys, which is believed to be funded by George Soros.

Carlos Montana Sister Denise Mosier: Carlos Montana Illegal Repeat Offender Kills Nun

Illegal migrant Carlos Montano has killed Virginia Nun Sister Denise Mosier while driving drunk. Montana has two previous drunk driving charges.

According to ICE, Montana was "in the deportation process," was out of custody on his own "recognizance."

The crash at around 8:30 Sunday morning killed Sister Denise Mosierand injured two other nuns as they were driving to a retreat at the Benedictine Monastery in Bristow, Va. The two injured nuns were in critical but stable condition late Monday, according to St. Gertrude High School in Richmond run by the Benedictine Sisters of Virginia. 

Apparently ICE policy does not include retention of those determined to be in the country illegally, even when the offender has been previously arrested. The death of Sister Denise Mosier, and the critical injuries of two other Nuns is on the hands of illegal migrant policies.

"I have been saying for months now that this administration's new policy of concentrating almost solely on 'criminal aliens,' and not enforcing the laws by deporting known illegal aliens, would have devastating consequences. Now, we see the tragic results this 'virtual amnesty' policy of the Obama administration has caused," said Rep. Harold Rogers of Kentucky, the ranking Republican on the House Appropriations homeland security subcommittee.

In a June 30 memo, John T. Morton, assistant secretary of homeland security for ICE, said agents should focus their capture and deportation efforts on illegal immigrants who were suspected of terrorism, had been convicted of violent crimes or were repeat offenders, gang members or "aliens who otherwise pose a serious risk to public safety." He did not define what rose to the level of serious risk.

The latest ICE statistics show that the agency has stepped up deportations of criminals, but has slowed deportation of other illegal immigrants. The agency also is holding fewer illegal immigrants at any one time than it did last year, according to the statistics.

Every drunk driving charge should be penalized with a day or two in jail. Perhaps neophytes, who would rarely drive drunk, would be convinced never to do it again, but once driving under the influence is a second offense, there should be no mercy. Carlos Montana deserves to spend the rest of his life in an American prison. Prayers for Sister Denise and the injured Nuns.

RFK Jr says No Sleds, No Ice Skating in Virginia or DC

As the shining City on the hill...that big city of big government corruption, digs its way out of an historic snow storm, we are reminded that Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy's weirdly green son, RFK, Jr. said the areas around Washington DC rarely see snow...no need for sleds, no need for ice skates because global warming has done away with winter.

Nevermind that the average winter snow is about 17," and has been for years. Nevermind that the warmest winter on record was way back in 1932.  "Junior" made his claims, rife with adjectives, in a Los Angeles Times column titled Palin's Big Oil Infatuation, in September 2008.

John Winthrop, as governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1867, said:

For we must consider that we shall be as a City upon a hill. The eyes of all people are upon us. So, that if we shall deal falsely with our God in this work we have undertaken, and so cause him to withdraw his present help from us, we shall be a story and byword throughout the world.

The eyes of "all the people" are upon these fabricating, cheating and scheming thugs.

In Virginia, the weather also has changed dramatically. Snow is so scarce today that most Virginia children probably don't own a sled. But neighbors came to our home at Hickory Hill nearly every winter weekend to ride saucers and Flexible Flyers.

The biggest snowstorms in the area in recent years was February 2003 with 16.7," and this February 2003 was also among the snowiest months ever. January 1996 recorded 23.8,"  1979 with 30.6." In March 1999 8.4" of snow is recorded. Washington DC and its surrounds should not be unfamiliar with snow, as these are among the biggest snowstorms. Annually, the area sees at least 17" of snow. In the winter of 1997-1998 and 1975-1976, under two inches of snow were recorded.

Alavi Foundation Assets Seized: Iranian Mosques Schools Seized

Federal prosecutors filed a civil "complaint" leading to the seizure of four Iranian mosques in the U.S., as well as a Fifth Avenue skyscraper, known as the Piaget Building.

The Piaget Building is managed by the Alavi Foundation and owned by the Iranian government as well as filing an amended complaint "seeking the Foundation's "majority stake" in the building located in Midtown at  650 Park Avene, New York, New York.

[Alavi] working with a front company known as Assa Corp., illegally funneled millions in rental income to Iran's state-owned Bank Melli. Bank Melli has been accused by a U.S. Treasury official of providing support for Iran's nuclear program, and it is illegal in the United States to do business with the bank

Bank Melli Iran is reported to have $48 billion in Shariah-compliant assets, with Iran holding more Islamic assets than all other countries. Iranian banks account for 6 of the top 10 Islamice Institutions worldwide.

In their amended complaint, U.S. prosecutors alleged Alavi has been providing numerous services to Iran's government, including managing the building, running a charitable organization for the Iranian government and transferring funds from the building's management company to Bank Melli.

While all of the properties under forfeiture may remain open as proceedings go forward, and no Iranian spokesman or mosque leader would speak of the action, neither would they open their doors:

At the Islamic Institute of New York, a mosque and school in Queens, two U.S. marshals came to the door and rang the bell repeatedly. The marshals taped a forfeiture notice to the window and left a large document sitting on the ground. After they left a group of men came out of the building and took the document.

Mosques are located in Queens, NY, and schools in Huston and Rockville, Maryland and an Islamic center in Carmichael, California. In Virginia, a 100-acre property.

This minute on FOX, Alavi is denying any part of their operation is owned by the Iranian government. While one earlier report said no action was taken today at the properties, FOX News' Eric Shawn just reported that boxes were removed from the Piaget Building today.

Assets are believed to total more than $500 million, with mosques, schools and Islamic centers in Maryland, California, Houston and New York, including a 36-story office building in New York, and more than 100 acres in Virginia.

Confiscating the properties would be a sharp blow against Iran, which has been accused by the U.S. government of bankrolling terrorism and trying to build a nuclear bomb.

The sleek, modern building, last valued at $570 million to $650 million in 2007, has served as an important source of income for the foundation over the past 36 years. The most recent tax records show the foundation earned $4.5 million from rents in 2007.

Rents collected from the building help fund the centers and other ventures, such as sending educational literature to imprisoned Muslims in the U.S. The foundation has also invested in dozens of mosques around the country and supported Iranian academics at prominent universities.

If federal prosecutors seize the skyscraper, the Alavi Foundation would have almost no way to continue supporting the Islamic centers, which house schools and mosques. That could leave a major void in Shiite communities, and hard feelings toward the FBI.

It's about time radical Islam has a problem with the FBI. The article says Alavi Foundation has been suspected of terrorist ties for THREE DECADES. This is not good news for the three young Americans held hostage in Iran for crossing the border from Iraq. Sarah Shourd, Shane Bauer and Joshua Fattal were charged this week with espionage and will be tried in Iran. We'll see if the Iranian mosques and schools become bargaining chips for the release of Shourd, Bauer and Fattal.

AMA Votes Health Care: President touts AMA support: AMA members outraged

The American Medical Association (AMA) has been forced refused to revisit their endorsement of ObamaCare. See an update 11-08-09 below.

Small problem. The AMA endorsed health care reform proposed by the House without taking a vote of delegates. Obama announced that he had the support of the AMA. Physicians not supporting the legislation are a tad upset. They want their voices heard.

 Some members are outraged that the group's trustees made the endorsement without the formal approval of the organization's House of Delegates.

From Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA), the House Minority Whip:

I frankly do not think the AMA represents the wishes of the physicians in the communities throughout the ground in this country."

The AMA will NOT vote to repeal the already unauthorized endorsement of the health care bill.
