JFK Terminal 8 Security Breach: Florida Passenger Breaches Security

Terminal 8 at JFK was evacuated and shut down today after a man opened a restricted door and set off an alarm. The man has not been identified or found. He apparently arrived at the terminal on a flight from Florida. See the photo below released from a video camera in the terminal. Update: 1-17-09: The man seen in the photo below is under arrest and is identified as Jules Paul Bouloute from Brooklyn, who was returning from Haiti to the U.S. He is being arraigned today and charged with criminal trespass.

JFK Terminal 8 Security Breach - Florida Passenger

Flights were delayed for hours. If I innocently went through an airport door and an alarm sounded, I think I might turn around and go back, offer my apologies, and try to hide my embarassment. Not this guy! Port Authority is searching for the man.

The breach happened about 3:30 p.m. Security began letting passengers back into the terminal about 6 p.m., and each had to be rescreened.
