A 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Okinawa, Japan today. A tsunami warning was issued, but has been cancelled. The epicenter was 81km off of the island of Okinawa. A 5.1 magnitude earthquake also hit the Philippines on 2-27-10, 140km south of Davao on Mindanao Island. No deaths reported either in Japan or the Philippines.
