Blood Money

Cross-posted over at PoliticalVindication!

It's not often we get a glimpse of what goes on behind the closed doors of an abortion clinic. Planned Parenthood, accused routinely of callously profiting off of a service far more deadly than flavored cigarettes or Big Pharma, have hit hard times. A former director of a PP clinic has experienced a conversion, and is letting the world know the company business plan:

She said the move to increase abortions came as Planned Parenthood experienced financial difficulties due to the troubled economy.

"Abortion is the most lucrative part of Planned Parenthood's operations," she said. "Even though they're two separate corporations, all of the money goes into one pot. With the family planning corporation really suffering, they depend on the abortion corporation to balance their budget, help get them out of the hole and help make income for the company."

"They really wanted to increase the number of abortions so that they could increase their income," she told the news service.

Naturally they would look for a way to make the abortion procedure more efficient?

She said her facility did abortions every other Saturday but began increasing the number of abortions in order to increase revenues. One method involved increasing the number of abortions done with the dangerous mifepristone abortion drug.

"One of the ways they were able to up the number of patients that they saw was they started doing the RU-486 chemical abortions all throughout the week," she said.

The left wants us to hate those greedy insurance companies and evil Energy companies; they argue for raising taxes by stoking envy and instigating class warfare; they stand indignant when their political aspirations are met with a little Tea Party resistance. You'd be forgiven if you thought that Rush Limbaugh supported slavery or that conservatives were hanging census workers from trees. If you argue against man-made global warming your Nazi-esque. If you're a "teabagger" you're sporting swastikas. George Bush is Hitler-esque. If you're against same-sex marriage you're a Hater, and only a race-baitor would blame the economic collapse on the Community Reinvestment Act. Most of all, Republicans are against socialized healthcare because we want people to die. For all the political prejudice progressives spew out, how is it that the only truly obvious moral abomination on the political field happens also to be a huge financial contributor to their party? The Democratic party is funded by blood money - literally.

The liberals doth protest too much, methinks.
