New Orleans Acorn Office Raid: Buddy Caldwell Raids Acorn New Orleans

Weeks ago, Louisiana State Attorney General Buddy Caldwell issued a subpoena for documents from ACORN's New Orleans headquarters. Now weeks later, comes the search warrant and raid. Surely that office has been sanitized by now. Oh well...

The raid came with no notice on November 6th. "Several dozen" computers were confiscated along with boxes of records. Caldwell's subpoena resulted from an investigation alleging embezzlement of funds ($5 million) by Dale Rathke, the brother of ACORN founder, Wade Rathke.
