Laurie David: I'm Not Having an Affair with Al Gore

Late yesterday, after the Star Magazine story that Al Gore has been having an affair with Laurie David for two years, Laurie David has told The Huffington Post she is not, and has never had an affair with Al Gore.

Ms. David, the ex-wife of television and film mogul, Larry David, says the story "is a total fabrication." From Huffington Post:

I adore both Al and Tipper. I look at them both as family. And I have happily been in a serious relationship since my divorce [2007].

Read the Star Magazine report here, which also says the David's divorced after reports that she was having an affair with the caretaker (or maybe a contractor) at their Martha's Vineyard home. An "insider" is quoted saying Al-baby and Laurie went from "friends to lovers." "It couldn't be avoided," the "insider" added.  So which is it?

According to Laurie David's agent, Dorian Karchmar, who gave a statement to People Magazin, "This report is completely, patently false.... I have no idea where it started from or why, but it is absolutely, positively and patently untrue."

Did anyone hear a woman on Fox News yesterday say she was a friend of Tipper Gore's and Tipper knew about the affair, but said she and Al had been "drifiting apart" for sometime? I wish I had paid more attention.

Larry David is the creator of Seinfeld and the star of Curb Your Enthusiasm.  Apparently, Al-baby has said nothing about the reports, unless this report is true, which says both Laurie and Al deny an affair, but no press "biggie" is claiming to have gotten a statement from the former Vice_President. Stay tuned.
