Bobby Bright Nancy Pelosi: Bobby Bright Jokes About Nancy Pelosi Dying

Pelosi's toxicity reaches deep into the South, where Blue Dog Democrat Rep. Bobby Bright (Ala-2nd District) is scrambling to keep his seat against challenger Republican Martha Roby who says "Our congressman voted for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House. How he voted any other time is irrelevant." Ouch! Bright, who bills himself as the the most independent member in Congress joked about Pelosi falling ill and dying, among other possibilities, that might put him in a position of not having to vote for her again.

The Montgomery Advertiser:
Speaking at a local Chamber of Commerce event, Bright "joked that Pelosi might lose her own election, decide not to run for the speaker’s job or otherwise not be available,"
He then suggested "jokingly" that Pelosi could fall ill and die in the coming months, thus preventing him from having to vote for her as Speaker. His remarks reportedly drew laughter from the audience.
From The Hill (take a look at the comments on this article)
The Cook Political Report lists Bright's seat as leaning Democratic, but he represents a district that Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) won in the 2008 presidential race with 68 percent of the vote.
The Montgomery Advertiser says the race between Bright and Republican Martha Roby will be one of the most competitive in the Nation this fall. If you can donate to Martha, or want to know more about her, visit her Roby for Congress website here.
