NRCC wastes $900000 on Scozzafava: What is the RNCC doing for Hoffman now?

The NRCC has spent $900,000 to get DeDe Scozzafava elected in New York's 23rd district special election on November 3rd. Scozzafava "suspended" her candidacy today - $900,000 wasted - donated by Republican and or conservative voters. $900,000.

As RedState's Eric Erickson says, NRCC chair, Pete Sessions is "batting his eye lashes at Doug Hoffman" while "wearing a fig leaf." The grand old party establishment has no choice but to get behind the conservative choice in NY23, Doug Hoffman. Congressman Pete Sessions gulped and said:

He [Hoffman] would be very welcome, with open arms.

Doug Hoffman is running as a candidate for the Conservative Party in New York and there is a lot of talk about a third party gaining momentum which will, in the end, be hurtful to Republicans, but Hoffman tried to gain the Republican nomination. He is/was a registered Republican but could not get the party chair's support.

I have not left the Republican Party. The Republican Party has left me and has turned its back on the voters of the 23rd Congressional District and on the values that made our party strong," Hoffman said in prepared remarks after his introduction.

Republican leaders in the people's House, John Boehner and Eric Cantor have learned an important lesson from their shotgun endorsement of a RINO Republican, who in truth is a liberal Democrat: Republicans want more than talk about conservatism, we want conservatism.

While it is not much remembered these days, the Republican party is historically the party of conservatism. The party has been hijacked - steamrolled by the "politically correct" movement that began with Bill Clinton. We don't need a third party. We just need conservative candidates, so that we can vote for them and put conservatives in Congress.

Message to the Congressman Pet Sessions and NRCC Executive Direction at the NRCC: just give us conservative candidates and let us show you how to take the party back from PC voters.

So, how much of the $900,000 is still scheduled for advertising for Scozzafava over the next three days? Has the NRCC pulled ads for the assemblywoman? Is the NRCC furiously producing ads for Hoffman? What is the RNCC doing for Doug Hoffman in the next three days?

RINO DeDe Scozzafava Quits NY23: Hoffman NRCC Funds Available? Scozzafavas Scuzzy Suggestion

RINO DeDe Scozzafava tearfully quit suspended the NY23 special election for New York's 23rd Congressional District. It begs the question, will the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) switch their big campaign contributions to conservative candidate Doug Hoffman? In a last attempt to desecrate conservatism, Scozzafava's scuzzy and subtle suggestion that her name will remain on the ballot and, although she is not in the race, voters can still cast a vote for her, is despicable.

Scozzafava has a long-time liberal-leaning-performance as a Republican in New York. Hoffman is a business man who lives just outside the congressional district and says he was "redistricted out" of the voting area. His candidacy got a giant boost when former governor, Sarah Palin stepped in and supported him, over Newt Gingrich's foolish endorsement of Scozzafava. The sparks flew.

Endorsements for Hoffman have come from Governor Tim Pawlenty, former Governor George Pataki, former senators, Fred Thompson and Rick Santorum, Dr. James Dobson, Concerned Women for America, Club for Growth, Steve Forbes, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, The Minuteman PAC, Rep. Jeff Flake, and the Wholesale-Distributor PAC, among others.

The New York Post is endorsing Hoffman and says assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava:

"...is the product of an obscenely corrupt political bargain by GOP bosses that sells out their party - and New Yorkers generally....

And then comes the damning claims of Scozzafava's cozy relationship with socialists tied to ACORN:

With the backing of the ACORN-allied Working Families Party, she supports Big Labor's favorite organizing bill -- card-check -- as well as the federal stimulus, opposed by every House Republican.

Sounding just Democrat, DeDe's farewell message is a whine and devious message:

In recent days, polls have indicated that my chances of winning this election are not as strong as we would like them to be.

On Election Day my name will appear on the ballot, but victory is unlikely. To those who support me – and to those who choose not to – I offer my sincerest thanks.

Even in defeat Scozzafava's smary behavior continues. Rather than sincerely asking that her supporters switch their vote to conservative Doug Hoffman, she hints that votes can still be cast for her. Are her supporters really Republicans? The district yielded a 52% vote for Barack Obama in November 2008. Was that just a vote against Bush? Are her supporters RINOs too, who will cast their vote for Owens? Whatever the answer, Scozzafava should have said that a vote for Hoffman is the proper way to Republicans and her. In such an important contest, Scozzafava's subtle suggestion is unforgivably scuzzy.

In latest polling dated October 31, Siena shows Hoffman at 35%, Owens at 36% and Scozzafava 20%.

So RNC, can you hear us now? While Hoffman can still lose Tuesday's election to Democrat candidate David Owens, conservatives are sending the message that we will no longer tolerate RINO traitors. We will fund conservatism, and, Newt, we are willing to take the chance that Nancy Pelosi will be "Speaker for Life," in order to try to do the right thing for the future of our country and families.

Michael Hilton Arrest Warrant Court Date: Becky Shay AFP Duped and Dumped Reporter

An arrest warrant was issued Thursday for the Hardin, MT security fraudster, Michael Hilton. Hilton appeared in a Los Angeles court Friday, saying he was broke. At least one investor who lost $175,000 to Hilton and his escapades, isn't buying it. Becky Shay is the AFP duped and dumped reporter.

Before Hardin, Hilton had $1.4+ million in judgments against him in three separate fraud lawsuits. The arrest warrant was issued because Hilton failed to appear in a Los Angeles Superior Court, year 2000, civil fraud lawsuit to repay $700,000. That lawsuit had multiple plaintiffs. This report says "he left yet another trail of bad checks and unhappy investors who now want their money back."

Becky Shay was a reporter for the Billings Gazette when Hilton hired her to work as AFP's director of public relations. Shay had covered the jail facility for the Gazette since it's construction. She reportedly was to be paid $60,000 a year by American Police Force, a company car and help with the downpayment on a home. Shay will likely be best known for this comment about AFP:

I made a great career choice...Here I am feeling the best I've ever felt about myself...At a great point in my life...I know enough about where the money is coming from to be confident signing on with them.

Ms. Shay reportedly left her job with the Billings Gazette after 9 years, with little to no notice. Shay said she received a cash bonus when she signed-on with AFP. Michael Hilton said he never paid anyone anything in Hardin, is $2,000 overdrawn on his corporate bank account and his personal account is empty as well.

In the few days after Hilton drove his SUV's into town, Shay was a busy woman. As rumors swirled that Hilton was taking over the town, Shay said received death threats, and the implications were that the threats came from Hardin residents. The Billings Gazette newsroom told me today by phone that Becky Shay is not back on the staff of the paper.

The woman who had been working as his spokeswoman said she, too, is now seeking money from Hilton.

"I'm looking at it thinking there's a lot of people going after him for money right now," said Becky Shay, who quit her job as a newspaper reporter to work for Hilton. "I'd love the money he owes me, but I'm okay. What I have is the freedom to start a new career."

Michael Hilton, whose birth name is Miodrag Dokich, and his American Police Force (AFP) arrived in Hardin, MT with black Mercedes SUV's and a Serbian-like magnetic emblem on the side, emblazoned with "Hardin Police." The problem: Hardin, Montana doesn't have a police force.

Residents were uneasy. Rumors raced. Was Hilton and his gang taking over the tiny town of Hardin? Then the news broke that Hilton, a native of Yugoslavia/Montenegro, planned to run the new, but completely empty 464-bed jail facilty. The eyes of the nation were on Hilton and Hardin, and city fathers had not a clue that Hilton had a lengthy rap sheet and a lengthy prison incarceration behind him, 17 aliases and made his living as a con man:

Hardin economic development officials signed a contract with Hilton in early September calling for his company, American Police Force, to operate the city's never-used jail and fill it with inmates.

But the deal was never ratified by a bank overseeing the jail, and it collapsed after media revelations about Hilton's criminal background.

Board members for Hardin's economic development agency, the Two Rivers Authority, have said they never investigated Hilton's background and didn't know of his criminal history until after they signed a deal with him.

But Hilton said Friday that he confessed his past as early as July to the authority's executive director, Greg Smith, and was told it would not be a problem.

Smith, who has since resigned, could not be reached immediately for comment.

Becky Shay, the duped and dumped reporter is looking for a new job career, and Hilton is believed to be out on bail of $2,000.

A list made available by the White House shows that both William Ayers and Jeremiah Wright have visited the White House since President Obama took office. William Ayers was there twice, once on May 2, 2009  and once on April 9 January 27 , 2009. Jeremiah Wright arrived on March 24, 2009 with no record of departure. Neither had an audience with the President of the United States (POTUS), and according to officials, neither are the William Ayers or the Jeremiah Wright. See 10-31-09 update below.

The most interesting observation is that Andrew L. Stern, the president of SEIU (Service Employees International Union) met with Mr. Obama more times than anyone on this particular list - 7 times, none of them in Oval Office. (see update about Stern below)

Michelle Malkin headline of 10-25-09: SEIU leads new banking shakedown campaign. We can see from the small list of POTUS visitors above that Obama has concentrated on SEIU and bankers. If I were a banker, I think I'd give some thought to Barack Obama being a spy for SEIU.

Hygiene and Hijabs: CAIR Hijab in Medical Facilities?

A Muslim female doctor contacted CAIR to plead her case for wearing a hijab while working in a medical facility.

The unnamed doctor apparently living in Texas was informed in a job interview with CareNow, that the facility has a "no hat" policy. Naturally, the doctor thinks that has nothing to do with her hijab.

Being that I wear a head scarf to cover my hair as part of my religious practice, I felt very discriminated against.

CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) has quoted the Civil Rights Act of 1964 in a letter to CareNow, but this has nothing to do with civil rights. It has everything to do with hygiene and security.

Britain has been fighting this battle for some time now. Women working at Liverpool's Alder Hey children's hospital did not want to "wash up" in the prescribed, and long-held necessary procedure because their forearms would be exposed. The hospital would make no exceptions in this critical matter.

There is no place in sterile environments for hijabs, burqas and unwashed forearms.

We'll see how this turns out. CAIR undoubtedly will use taxpayer money, through their tax exempt, non-profit status, to sue CareNow in Texas. Can we keep hijabs out of medicine?

Barack Obama to Poll Afghanistan Tribal Leaders, Militias

Barack Obama has asked senior officials to perform a "province-by-province" analysis of how Afghanistan is being "managed." Who would have thought of polling Afghan tribal leaders and militias? Only Barack Obama - and this as he visits Dover Airbase to salute the dead returning from Afghanistan, saying that the experience will influence his decisions on the war. See video below.

I'm nearly at a loss here. For more than 60 days, President Barack Hussein Obama has sat on this thumbs in contemplating the URGENT troop request from his General in Afghanistan - this decision by Obama has lasted longer than some military campaigns in U.S. history...but wait we have, and wait have the troops, whose necks are on the line.

We've sat and sat and sat while Obama has held meeting after meeting (with golf and international trips inbetween) and now, when there were rumors that a decision was finally, FINALLY near...Barack Hussein Obama has decided that he wants a poll done of Afghan tribal leaders across the country as to whether they need "help" or not.

I AM NEARLY ******* SPEECHLESS HERE!

Why doesn't this damn clown just come out and tell us that he isn't going to make up his mind until he can finally get a better picture of how the polls in America are shaping up so he can make the best decision for himself, politically.

And no where in [the Washington Post] this article does it say anything about how long this Putz-in-Chief thinks this little polling of Afghan tribal leaders will take or quite frankly, how he's going to do it. I figure that 75% of the people sent out to interview the tribal leaders will be shot dead by the Taliban during the process. Somebody ******* pinch me here....this HAS GOT TO BE A NIGHTMARE!

President Obama paid tribute to 18 Americans killed in Afghanistan this week by standing in salute as the caskets were taken from an aircraft.

Hours after a personal encounter with the grim cost of war, President Barack Obama said Thursday the sight of 18 flag-covered cases holding the remains of Americans killed this week in Afghanistan can't help but influence his thinking about sending more troops overseas..

His exact words were:

The burden that both our troops and their families bear in any wartime situation is going to bear on how I see these conflicts," he said

Apparently General McChrystal will have to wait until polls close.

Keith Ellison CAIR Interns: Keith Ellison Defends CAIR Interns

Rep. Keith Ellison says there is no need to investigate interns placed on strategic security committees by CAIR. See video below.

It was discovered recently that CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) spent $50,000 in 2007 to place interns on Capitol Hill. Republican's called for an investigation of the CAIR interns thought to be put in sensitive security committee positions within Congress. This from Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN):

The idea that we should investigate Muslim interns as spies is a blow to the very principle of religious freedom that our founding fathers cherished so dearly,” said Ellison from the House floor on Monday.

Notice in the video Ellison uses the term "anti-Islamicists" to describe protesters of CAIR,
but no identification of CAIR as "anti-American," pro-Hamas and pro-Islamic-Caliphate. Also no mention from Ellison that CAIR "bought" these intern operative placements, probably with the stashed funds reaped from a non-profit status:

Claiming to be a civil rights organization, CAIR enjoys a 501(c)(3) tax exempt, tax deductible charity designation from the Internal Revenue Service, meaning the group does not pay taxes, and contributions are tax deductible.  Yet internal memos reveal CAIR exercises an extensive, aggressive lobbying operation aimed at directly influencing policy outcomes in direct violation of their non-profit, tax exempt status.

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), the only Muslim member of Congress, and the first and only member to be sworn into office on a Koran, continues to help the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) raise money. Ellison was recently, and has been for years, a featured CAIR fundraiser.

The Minneapolis-area Democrat is just returning a courtesy. CAIR's Nihad Awad, who once claimed "I am a supporter of the Hamas movement" and James Yee, a Muslim Guantanamo cleric, spoke at Rep. Ellison's own political fundraiser. In October 2006, as a congressional candidate, Ellison was the keynote speaker for CAIR in Florida. That event went under-the-radar virtually no reporting except for FrontPageMag, and bloggers.

The fact that the FBI has broken all ties with CAIR, saying CAIR is not "an appropriate liasion partner," should be enough to divert Keith Ellison's affection for the organization. This report quotes an FBI assistant director, Richard C. Powers, saying the FBI is unsure whether the relationship between CAIR and Hamas ever was severed. So, with all of CAIR's presence on Capitol Hill, with their mammoth media blitzs and lobbying efforts, with their denial of terrorist ties, the FBI cannot support their claims...yet CAIR continues to walk the halls of Congress.

CAIR and its chairman emeritus, Omar Ahmad, were named un-indicted co-conspirators in the HLF case. Both Ahmad and CAIR's current national executive director, Nihad Awad, were revealed on government wiretaps as having been active participants in early Hamas-related organizational meetings in the United States. During testimony, FBI agent Lara Burns described CAIR as a front organization.

The American-born convert to Islam, Keith Ellison, also known as as Keith Ellison Muhammad, Keith X Ellison and Keith Hakim, according to Campus Watch also appeared with Prince Alwaleed bin-Talal, who you will remember had his $10 million donation to New York City after 9-11 rejected by then-Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

As CNN stated at the time, "the prince suggested U.S. policies in the Middle East contributed to the September 11 attacks."

In addition to Talal's inability to blame the terrorists for September 11, he has a record of financially supporting suicide bombing, having given $27 million to the Saudi Committee for the Support of the al-Quds Intifada through his Kingdom Holding Company . As the London Times stated in April of 2002, "The committee will continue to provide direct assistance to the families of Palestinian martyrs and those wounded while resisting the occupation."

The Weekly Standard calls Ellison "Louis Farrakhan's First Congressman." Others refer to him as "CAIR's first U.S. congressman. During his 2006 campaign, Ellison had to tap dance around his former (?) association with the Louis Farrakhan's Nation of Islam. He had the audacity to tell his Jewish voters that he did not realize the Nation of Islam was anti-semitic. That's all it took, and he gained the "endorsement of the Jewish Community Relations Council and the Minneapolis-based American Jewish World.

Family Matters reports that the Minnesota Congressman appeared in September at yet another CAIR event. Republicans from Arizona, Senator John Kyle and Reps. Trent Franks and John Shadegg wrote a joint letter to Ellison "urging" him to cancel his appearance.

...to reconsider associating with CAIR and to cancel his appearance. The Republican legislators cited the fact that CAIR hasquestionalbe ties to the terror group Hamas as established by evidence submitted in the recent Holy Land Foundation trial in which CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator. Further, there have been several high-ranking CAIR operatives who have been either indicted or convicted of having transgressed the law....

This week Ellison wrote an op-ed for The Hill. He says the years of sanctions on Iran have taught us one important less: sanctions don't work. He conveniently doesn't mention that the U.N.'s Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) has defeated every move to place meaningful sanctions on Iran.

In July 2007, Ellison addressed the Atheists for Human Rights and defined Dick Cheney and President Bush's actions as almost like the "Riechstag fire, kind of reminds me of that. After the Reichstag was burned, they blamed the Communists for it and it put the leader of that country [Hitler] in a position where he could basically have authority to do whatever he wanted. The fact is that I'm not saying [9-11-] was a [U.S.] plan, or anything like that because, you know, that's how they put you in the nut-ball box...

While Conservatives believe there are similarities to President Obama's agenda and Marxism - and are loudly criticized for it - Keith Ellison compared Dick Cheney and George W. Bush to Hilter, but only a tiny peep from the mainstream media.

Keith Ellison is another tax-invader-elected-official. He evaded monies due to the IRS for five separate years between 1992 and 2000. The IRS had to slap leins on his home. He failed to report 2006 "contributions, discrepancies in cash balances and misclassified disbursements, in 2002-2004 when he served in the Minnesota House.The Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board subpoenaed him, fined him numerous times and reprimanded him, and was sued twice by the State Attorney General..

This U.S. elected official did not pay traffic fines and tickets, and has had his driver's license suspended. This report cites the Star Tribune:

State records also show that Ellison has received nine traffic tickets for moving violations since January of 2000.

He got five for speeding, one for following too closely, one for failing to obey a sign, one for not having a driver's license with him, and one for not having proof of insurance.

Ellison acknowledged previous suspensions but said, "I don't know how many prior suspensions I've had. I don't keep count. ... At the end of the day, my thought is that this congressional district has a lot of problems, and we have to focus on those problems."

The Muslim American Society received "nearly $900,000 in taxpayer money in 2006 and 2007" and then sent Keith Ellison on his tony Haj to Mecca - all expenses paid - a $13,000+ trip for this spiritual sojourn.

It is time to get CAIR out of American politics, or at least, it is time the mainstream media began informing Americans on CAIR:

Much of the money that was funneled into the coffers of Ellison’s campaign can be traced to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), an organization that has ties to Hamas. In June of 1994, three leaders of the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), a group that was the brainchild of Hamas deputy Mousa Abu Marzook (Marzouk), incorporated CAIR. One of the leaders was CAIR’s Executive Director and, himself, a Hamas supporter, Nihad Awad.

Awad – who stated at a September 2000 rally, “[The Jews] have been saying ‘Next year in Jerusalem’; we say ‘Next year to all Palestine’” – personally gave thousands of dollars to Ellison’s campaign. The other head of CAIR, the group’s National Chairman, Parvez Ahmed, also gave large sums to Ellison. In addition, CAIR sponsored numerous fundraisers for Ellison – including secret fundraisers held outside the candidate’s state – where the group raised tens of thousands of dollars for him.

Mike Pence Dr. Nancy: Dr. Nancy Snyderman Corrected by Mike Pence

Rep. Mike Pence, in an interview with MSNBC's Dr. Nancy, said Speaker Pelosi released PelosiCare today - a plan that has now grown from 1,000 pages to 1,900 pages and contains the word "shall" 3,425 times. Dr. Nancy Snyderman asked Pence why Americans cannot have the same "federal plan" that members of Congress enjoys, and "why is there a firewall around your plan?" Pence corrected her, gently, saying there is no government option in the health care Congress receives, and it is not a government plan. See video below.

That's the thing. Liberal commentators don't have a clue how the world works.

About that the word "shall," it's a mandate - someone "shall" do something. There is nothing optional about "shall."

Mike Pence said this bill is a "freight train of higher taxes, mandates and bureaucracy." Several times, Pence said Americans should have health care they can purchase across state lines, which would, like the plans covering Congress, bring down the cost of health care. We all know that our health care costs would be dramatically reduced once competition is a part of the process.

Chip Reid Robert Gibbs: Robert Gibbs Chip Reid on DNC Donors and White House Perks:

CBS reporter Chip Reid got a bit pushy today with Robert Gibbs, and Gibbs was not successful in cutting him off, although he tried. See video below.

According to CBS, the DNC "document" "spells out exactly" what the deepest pockets can buy:"

Those who raise "$300,000 before the 2010 midterm elections" get quarterly meetings with "senior members of the Obama Administration... twice-monthly conference calls... (and) contribute to shaping policy agendas." In other words, the kind of access most Americans can only dream of

Gibbs insisted that this White House, the most transparent White House ever, said they would release the names and dates of everyone entering the White House, but when Reid pushed further and asked if the names would be" just a name on a list," or would the names be identified with their donations, Gibbs referred Reid to the DNC - twice.

Reid objected, saying White House officials were involved. Was this a quid-pro-quo, Reid asked.

Saying that "hundreds of thousands of people have visited the White House" since inauguration day (9 months), Gibbs dismissed the suggestion that donors have access to the White House bowling alleys, but CBS quotes some of those donors who wish to remain anonymous (so...will their names appear on "the list?):

Several bundlers, who didn't wish to be named, describe invitations to use the executive office bowling alley with family and friends, and a surprise birthday visit to the White House to see the president.

CBS took the DNC document to a former Federal Election Commission chair, Scott Thomas, who said this:

"It's okay to have a big bash and people can have a nice piece of rubber chicken but where you actually start drawing people in who have given the money to the policy discussions - I think there ought to be some way to draw a line there," Thomas said.

I believe this happens in all administrations to some extent, but the proper question, as Chip Reid posed it: Is it a quid pro quo, because if it is, then the White House is definitely on a political auction block.

Luqman Ameen Abdullah was killed in an FBI raid after attempts to complete an arrest warrant.  A shootout between imam Abdullah, some of his followers and the FBI resulted in the death. Update 11-1-09 below.

The shooting occured at a warehouse in Dearborn, MI. An FBI spokesperson said Abdullah refused to surrender and fired a weapon at the federal agents. A 2-year investigation named 11 people in a criminal complaint.Abdullah's oldest son Mujahid Carswell (30) was arrested by The Royal Canadian Mounted Police today. Two men are still sought: Yassir ali Khan (30) and Mohammad Philistine of Ontario.

Thomas (53) is an American born convert to Islam. The original mosque was located at 4118 Joy Road in Detroit. In January 2009, the members were evicted for non-payment of property taxes by the Detroit Police. 

The mosque members are reportedly American born blacks. Abdullah was the prayer leader of a small and violence-oriented mosque following Islamic Ummah. As with all Islamic organizations, Ummah's mission is to set up an Islamic caliphate in the U.S., and throughout the world governed by Sharia Law.

Abdullah told followers that it was their "duty to oppose the FBI and the government and it does not matter if they die" and to "simply shoot a cop in the head" if they wanted the officer's bulletproof vest, Leon wrote.

The affidavit also said bombs, guns and even the recipe for TNT were among Abdullah's regular topics with his allies. Group members and former members said they were "willing to do anything Abdullah instructs and/or preaches, even including criminal conduct and acts of violence," the FBI agent wrote.

 As expected, CAIR's (Council on American-Islamic Relations) executive director Dawud Walid claims that Abdullah opened the mosque to the homeless, and fed the indigent at a soup kitchen - that would happen right after the prayers to Allah to destroy democracy and hand the country to Islam.

Sources said to be close to Luqman Ameen Abdullah participated in the two-year investigation, gathering recorded conversations.

Abdullah received at least 20 percent of any profit and claimed the "Prophet Muhammad said that it is okay to participate in theft; as long as that person prays, they are in a good state," Leone wrote in the affidavit.

This report opens with this ominous statement:

From Washington to the personal homes of federal agents, the suspects involved in Wednesday's raids in metro Detroit allegedly targeted a wide range of places and people.

All radical Islamicists want to duplicate or do more than the terror that happened on September 11, 2001 - unless they can't, and then the goal is, whatever terror can be achieved. If terror cannot be wrought, then the plan is to steal from others and live off of the booty.  From the 43-page indictment:

• In November 2008, Abdullah talked with an undercover agent about a doctor captured in Afghanistan who had been wanted by the FBI Abdullah then talked about jihad and going after what he called "super agents." • While in Atlanta, Abdullah said of their police officers: "Their department will have a bad day when they deal with me."

• "Abdullah informed" an undercover agent "that a member of his community in Detroit had shot police officers."

• He referred to Washington as a possible target.

There are numerous discussions about killing police in the complaint. Was this all talk and no action - other than firing on a federal officer? Was Abdullah a talker and not a doer? I don't know. Debbie Schlussel has an interesting take on this, and talks about the greater threat of the "non-Black Arab Muslims... in the area:

Sadly, this has been a repeated pattern throughout the country.  The FBI uses informants to recruit Black (and other) Muslim converts to discuss planning a terrorist attack because they’re too lazy and too politically correct to go after the far more serious threat of Muslim Arabs who are already engaging in this activity, without prompting or entrapment from an outside FBI impetus.

This report says that "hundreds" turned for Luqman Ameen Abdullahs funeral in Detroit yesterday.

...hushed prayers Saturday at the funeral for a slain Detroit mosque leader while authorities across the border in Canada made the final two arrests in a criminal case that is stirring some anger in the Muslim community.

Mourners spoke of him as a generous man and a "good brother." According to the report, "no one metioned the FBI's claim that he had a violent, anti-government ideology." Abdullah told his followers to "simply shoot a cop in the head." He tried and he failed. And he died. Will the day ever come in a community like this,  when Muslims can say " I thought he was a good man. I didn't know about this background, and now that I know, I condemn it," rather than ignoring that one of theirs was a menace to the country?

Everyone named in the arrest warrant are now in custody, including Abdullah's son, Carswell.

He quotes a Cuban immigrant who is grateful that America was here, because it gave him a place to flee to.

Dejavu. Reagan quotes Senator J.W. Fullbright (D-AR) saying that President Lyndon Johnson is "our moral teacher," and the U.S. Constitution is an antiquated document. Listen as he talks about the plight of farmers under government programs, and a proposed program to stamp out juvenile delinquency by placing the delinquents in a "camp," which will cost taxpayers $4,700 per "camper," but "we can send them to Harvard for $2,700.

Reagan talks about Social Security, forced government health insurance and subordinating America's interest to an institution which has become structurally unsound [United Nations], has no interest in democracy and remains silent as millions are enslaved in the Soviet Union and satellite nations.

Cash for Clunkers Cost Taxpayers $24000: Taxpayers Paid $24,000 Per Clunker

The "wildly popular" government program called Cash for Clunkers rev'ed up auto sales until the program ended. In the end, Cash for Clunkers cost taxpayers $24,000 for each car sold.

According to a CNN report, 690,000 cars were sold using the "get free government money" program. The article says 125,000 of those sold were autos that would have sold anyway:

...the overwhelming majority of sales would have taken place anyway at some time in the last half of 2009 [Edmunds.com] That means the government ended up spending about $24,000 each for those 125,000 additional vehicle sales.

The Department of Transportation (DOT) is not happy with the way Edmunds.com analyzes the Cash for Clunkers program.

A spokesman for Ford Motor Company attributes the program with kick-starting the economy. Edmunds.com says without Cash for Clunkers, October sales would be even higher.

DNC DeFaced Flag Contest Finalist: DNC US Flag Descration Video; Health Care and the American Flag

The DNC held a contest. Submit a video in favor of Democrat health care reform. One of the 20 finalists exercises his right to free speech and support of the government plan by desecrating the American flag.

The judges, according to the "Organizing for American" website were "qualified" Democratic National Committee (DNC) "employee judges."

A contestant whose video didn’t make the final-20 cut complains that a video “defacing the flag” won’t do much to help President Barack Obama or the Democrats sell health care reform.

“They should never pick that,” said the contestant, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. “It makes the Democrats look really, really bad.”

Judges for the final winner will be DNC Chair Tim Kaine, Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-PA), actress Rosario Dawson and actor Dule Hill, the "public," and will.i.am - the frontman for Black Eyed Peas who wrote the song "Yes We Can," for the Obama campaign.

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) asked the proper questions in this NFL investigation, grills NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell on his comments about Rush Limbaugh, and then in the video, you can hear Goodell's weasel words.

Goodell did not answer King's question. I think he was in shock, because he had to take a while to muster up any answer at all. Goodell obviously doesn't talk to conservatives often. It is obvious he does not understand "straight talk."

Hate Crimes Bill Double Jeopardy: Hate Crimes Bill Dual Sovereignty

The Hate Crimes Bill was stuffed inside the military appropriations bill, in honor of deceased Senator Ted Kennedy, and passed into Law today. Now our government has the legal authority to retry cases that resolved without a guilty verdict. I had to read it twice. Actually I read that several more times. This law actually will allow the DOJ to retry cases that were adjudged "innocent" or "not guilty." It's not about double jeopardy. It is all about dual sovereignty. See update 10-27-09 below.

Hans Bader writing for Stop the ACLU explains how this happens:

...the bill's sponsors seek to use it to reprosecute people in federal court who have already been found innocent of hate crimes in state court, taking advantage of the "dual sovereignty" loophole in constitutional protections against double jeopardy.

The double jeopardy clause lives within the The 5th Amendment. Dual Sovereignty is a legal doctrine. As I've read some examples of how dual sovereignty can inject itself and remain constitutional, the example of Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City Murrah Building bomber, is often mentioned. McVeigh could be tried both in Oklahoma and in Federal Court, but he was tried in federal court for the murder of 8 federal employees, rather than the 168 people he murdered in Oklahoma.

This article gives some good examples of how dual sovereignty is used, but says this:

The dual sovereignty doctrine is controversial, but there are not very many instances of successive state and federal prosecutions. Both the federal and state governments have imposed limits on their ability to re-prosecute the same conduct. The federal limit is found in a Department of Justice policy that generally forbids prosecuting conduct that has already been prosecuted.

There are exceptions for cases in which justice was not done in the prior prosecution—for example, the judge or prosecutor was corrupt or the jury entered an acquittal that was clearly against the evidence.

So apparently this DOJ and Barack Obama believe that justice is not done often enough, and that courts often do not punish those who commit hate crimes?

No discussion is necessary of the fact that any violent act against anyone is hateful. No matter your color, your gender, your sexual persuasion, your ethnicity - a violent act is criminal and should be punished, but here is a closing question: is it possible for a straight white person to have a crime of "hate" perpetrated against him/her?

A commenter mentioned that he read the Bill and saw nothing to indicate "double jeopardy." I think the real issue is "dual sovereignty" which negates the double jeopardy. The text of the Bill is here.

Here is a portion that I believe gives the DOJ the opportunity to retry a hate crime:
(b) (1) IN GENERAL - No prosecution of any offense described in the subsection may be undertaken by the United States, except under the certification in writing of the Attorney General, or his designee, that- (C) the verdict or sentence obtained pursuant to State charges left demonstratively unvindicated the Federal interest in eradicating bias-motivated violence; or (D) a prosecution by the United States is in the public interest and necessary to secure substantial justice.

(b) (2) RULE OF CONSTRUCTION- Nothing in this subsection shall be construed to limit the authority of Federal officers, or a Federal grand jury, to investigate possible violations of this section.

We believe that MSHCPA [Matthew Shepard hate Crimes Prevention Act] will do little good and a great deal of harm.  Its most important effect will be to allow federal authorities to re-prosecute a broad category of defendants who have already been acquitted by state juries—as in the Rodney King and Crown Heights cases more than a decade ago Due to the exception for prosecutions by “dual sovereigns,” such double prosecutions are technically not violations of the Double Jeopardy Clause of the U.S. Constitution  But they are very much a violation of the spirit that drove the framers of the Bill of Rights, who never dreamed that federal criminal jurisdiction would be expanded to the point where an astonishing proportion of crimes are now both state and federal offenses.  We regard the broad federalization of crime as a menace to civil liberties.  There is no better place to draw the line on that process than with a bill that purports to protect civil rights.

The text of the Bill states that its purpose is to eliminate "the badges...and relics of slavery and involuntary servitude." (7)

Another mission of the Bill is give the States a total of $5 million dollars in 2010 and again in 2011 to aid in their investigations and prosecutions. This, in my opinion, violates the "sham and cover" limit on dual sovereignty - meaning that the Feds cannot encourage a state, or aid a state with assistance or funds to bring about a guilty verdict. I'm not an attorney, but the information from TheFreeLibrary cited below addresses this.

The text of the Bill in (6)(E) says the Feds have a right to become involved in many cases because "Such violence is committed using articles that have traveled in interstate commerce." In otherwords, the killer brought a knife from his homestead state, or a state he/she traveled through, and used it in a murder.

Update 10-27-09:

This article and this subject has garnered a lot of interest and many opinions. First, I am looking for the text of the Dual Sovereignty Doctrine. It shouldn't be that difficult to find, but so far I have not found it.

I'm going to post information here, or maybe "opinions" is a better term, on how the doctrine works with the 5th Amendment and the double jeopardy clause. This will be a spot to drop documents that may provide answers. Maybe we will eventually see clearly why the Obama administration might want to retry cases already tried.

Keep in mind this thought: Dual sovereignty can be used when a resident of a U.S. State commits a crime that affect a federal interest - maybe a federal building, or institution or federal employee.

So what part does a "hate crime" have if nothing "federal" is involved. For instance, the recent murder of Bill Sparkman, a part time off-duty census taker in Kentucky, could allow the mudererers, if caught, to be tried by both a federal and a state court. What if the person found in the woods that day, where Mr. Sparkman was found, had no connection to the feds, other than being a resident of the United States. What if it was clearly a murder based on the person's ethnicity or sexual persuasion? The answer is, it no longer matters.

Can the feds, now with the new law, try everyone deemed to be guilty of a hate crime?

While I understand that the Dual Sovereignty Doctrine does allow for prosecution by both Federal and State court in some instances, that would probably affect crimes committed but not yet tried, or crimes still yet to be committed.

But the administration now has the authority to try those already adjudged not guilty or innocent. Would that be for trials that have just currently been completed? Or can the administration go through the files searching for crimes against gays, transgenders and ethnicities, and go back as many years as they want? Is there a statute of limitations with the new hate crime bill?

The principles underlying the dual sovereignty doctrine are not explicitly or implicitly expressed in the federal Constitution or in the constitution of any state, but are rather the product of judicial construction.

The doctrine arose primarily to accommodate the demands of concurrent state-federal jurisdiction in our unique system of federalism. Under a federalist system, governmental power is divided between two separate and independent entities: a central government responsible for national affairs and local governments responsible for local affairs....

While the foundation for the dual sovereignty doctrine can be traced to a number of early Supreme Court cases,(90) the Court did not actually employ the doctrine in its reasoning until United States v. Lanza in 1922.(91) In Lanza, the defendants were prosecuted and convicted in the state of Washington for manufacturing, transporting, and possessing liquor in violation of the prohibition laws.(92) Subsequently, the federal government sought to prosecute the defendants for violating the National Prohibition Act.(93)...

The court did not, however, fully eliminate the double jeopardy prohibition from this context. The dual sovereignty doctrine continues to be limited by what is referred to as the "sham" exception, which was described by the Bartkus Court.

The sham exception provides that a prosecution by one sovereign cannot be used as a "sham and a cover" for another sovereign's re-prosecution of the same defendant.

This doctrine would operate to prevent, on double jeopardy grounds, a prosecution brought by one sovereign with the encouragement and support of another sovereign that has already failed in its attempt to prosecute the same defendant.

The doctrine is founded on the rationale that the two sovereigns are acting as one. Unfortunately, this exception has been construed so narrowly as to make it difficult to be utilized successfully.

Fox News Michael Clemente Robert Gibbs Meet Privately

You know I hate this. No meetings between Fox and Robert Gibbs. How about complete separation of news and the White House? - except for the White House Correspondents Dinner. Just love those. Apparently, Michael Clemente and Robert Gibbs met and the question is: has a truce been reached?

This report says that Fox News Channel's Senior V-P, Michael Clemente, and White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs met in Gibbs' office in Washington, D.C. "Gibbs reached out to Clemente...." Nevertheless:

A Fox source said that the marching orders are to “continue doing what we’re doing – reporting the news, asking tough questions and providing analysis/opinion on shows like O’Reilly, Beck and Hannity.”

That's good news.

A U.S. News and World Report article quotes the White House:

"They're still at it," says a senior Obama aide, who adds that White House officials don't expect to fire another shot in the battle unless FOX strikes first."

There is no indication in U.S. News and World report that a meeting between Clemente and Gibbs occurred.

Valerie Jarrett, the other half of Barack's brain was interviewed on CNN. When Campbell Brown asked Jarrett if she thought Fox News was biased, Jarrett replied,  "of course Fox is biased," but she and the other half of her brain plan to keep speaking "truth to power." Her message was hilariously mixed. When Ms. Brown rewinds the tape, she'll find she let a good opportunity go to waste, although I give her credit for asking Jarrett the "biased' question twice. Iyad Awadallah is CAIR Intern: Iyad Awadallah Jim DeMint: CAIR Intern Evicted

CAIR interns are in the news today. First, we learned that a CAIR memorandum says it spent $50,000 to place two "fellows" in Congress in 2007, and now we learn that Iyad Awadallah, a Cair intern on Capitol Hill was forced to leave the US Capitol Visitors Center Congressional Auditorium "after behaving in a threatening manner..."

According to this hot post at The Jawa Report, Awadallah appeared at a conference on "Freedom of Speech and Religion" today and began to videotape the speakers. He was told the conference registration did not allow taping of any kind, or the taking of photographs. That didn't stop him.  He was removed from the building by Capitol Hill police just before Senator Jim DeMint was to speak.

According to The Jawa Report, the scheduled speakers have "been the subject of death threats by Muslims."

CAIR attacks:

The [CAIR] press release claimed that Awadallah was told by one conference participant that “we want to cut their [Muslims’] necks off.” However, Awadallah entered the auditorium during one of the sessions and never had the opportunity to speak with any of the conference attendees.

John Allen Muhammad Death Penalty: John Allen Muhammad is John Allen Williams: Muhammad November 10 Lethal Injection

The Washington, D.C. Beltway Sniper, who took the lives of 10 people in 2002 will receive a lethal injection at a Virginia prison on November 10th. Only 7 years and less than one month for the death penalty to actually be administered. Virginia is doing something right. Oh, wait, how silly of me. An appeal is planned. Muhammad is in the news today because he refused to choose the way he would die - either lethal injection or electrocution. Lethal injection is Virginia's "default" choice. See video below. Lee Boyd Malvo and John Allen Muhammad

John Allen Muhammad (49) converted to Islam through the Nation of Islam in 1987, and changed his name from Williams to Muhammad. His partner in the deaths, Lee Boyd Malvo was in the U.S. illegally.

The two left a trail of death in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. Thirteen shootings occurred. Ten died. Both men are suspected of killings in Louisiana and Alabama.

Muhammad was found guilty of the death of one person in Virginia, 6 in Maryland, and was sentenced to death in August 2005.

Malvo is 24-years-old today and was 17 at the time of murders. He met Muhammad through his mother who had a "strong friendship" with the killer. In a foray to the U.S., the mother, Una Sceon James left her son with Muhammad, in Antigua. Lee Boyd Malvo is serving multiple life prison sentences without the possibility of parole.

Four persons survived: Paul LaRuffa, 55 at the time, Caroline Seawell 43 of Fredericksburg, VA, Iran Brown, just 13 years old and on his way to school in Bowie, Maryland and Jeffrey Hopper, 37, in Ashland, Virginia.

LaRuffa was shot a month before the other victims. His computer was stolen by the shooters and was later recovered by authorities with "shooting sites marked with skulls and crossbones and locations of planned further killings..." LaRuffa was shot 5 times:

Did I feel each shot? I heard them all, but I can't tell you. The worst I felt was something hitting me," he said. "One second you're sitting there, and a millisecond later there's blood pouring out of your body. 

He was confronted by a boy wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a T-shirt that read, "I only have to be nice to one person a day. Today's not your day." LaRuffa continues his life with bullet fragments near his chest and spine, and a surgical scar running from his chest to his navel.
Iran Brown was interviewed by CNN about 2 months after he was shot:

"I'm not in any pain right now. I feel normal, I just can't lift heavy things like I did before," 13-year-old Iran Brown told reporters at Children's National Medical Center.

I feel great and am looking forward to picking up my life where I left off. That includes a lot of basketball and hanging out with my friends," Brown said.
He said he was able to shoot baskets, but not as many as he used to.

Caroline Seawell, a stay-at-home mom of two at the time, went shopping and loaded a holiday scarecrow and a wreath into her minivan. A bullet went through her back and exited her chest and lodged in her Toyota minivan. She knew immediately that she had been shot. First she said a prayer, and then she told a stranger in the parking lot. He didn't believe her.
She had talked about the "snipers" with her husband over breakfast that morning.

Jeffrey Hopper and his wife Stephanie were traveling home to Melbourne, FL. Hopper knew about the shootings and "tried very hard to make sure we had enough gas to get past D.C." After dinner, the couple walked to their car. Stephanie had a cookie in each hand. She had just leaned over to her husband for a quick kiss and he was hit. When Hopper testified in October 2003, he had just had his "most recent" surgery of 5, to "reconstruct his abdominal muscles."

Claudine Parker, a clerk at a Montgomery, AL liquor store was shot and killed in September 2002. Muhammad's palm prints were found at the crime scene.

I don't know about you, but I am beyond weary of these animals living for years after receiving a death sentence. It makes no sense, and it is designed for attorneys to milk the system. I don't object to an appeal, but let's face it, the trial documents are available. An appeal usually allows for nothing additional to be introduced that was not already introduced during the trial proceedings. Taking years to get to an appeals decision is not justice for anyone.

Update 11-10-09 Execution Night:

Fox News has just reported that John Williams Muhammad's last chance for a stay-of-execution has been eliminated. Virginia Governor Tim Kaine has ordered that he receive his full punishment by execution tonight via lethal injection - 9 p.m. EST.

Rifqa Bary Omar Tarazi: Rifqa Bary David Colley: Rifqa Bary Court Prisoner

Rifqa Bary is the 17-year-old who fled her family home in Ohio for fear of her Muslim father. Rifqa's family is from Sri Lanka, and in the United States illegally. She was at the mercy of her father's attorney, David Colley, who no longer represents the parents. Enter attorney Omar Tarazi. Ms. Bary is now at the mercy of this lawyer and an Ohio court, an Ohio foster home and her parents, Mohamed and Aysha Bary.

Rifqa Bary

When Rifqa fled to Orlando, Florida in July 2009, the story of the young woman who converted to Christianity was everywhere. Rifqa denied Islam and embraced Christianity. That's not the meat of the story though; the "meat" is that this 17-year-old said her father was abusive and she feared for her life. Christianity is a side story. A Florida court proved this.

Florida's Judge Daniel Dawson said he would not send Rifqa back to Ohio until he received the family's immigration documents. Since the family is here illegally, that should have been enough to keep Rifqa in her foster home, but it did not. Mr. and Mrs. Bary faced "contempt of court" charges by refusing to turn over their documentation.

But the court caved, and a Facebook post reportedly written by Jamal Jivanjee, said to be Rifqa's friend and a pastor, claims a bait-and-switch put Rifqa back in Ohio with no protection.

...in order to have the immigration issue go away for Rifqa's parents, Mohammad Bary's attorney, David Colley, cut a 'behind the scenes' deal in which the Florida court would drop the contempt of court issue regarding their immigration situation in exchange for an assurance that they would leave Rifqa alone and let her stay in foster care for the next 9 months until she is 18.

RedCounty's Jerry Gordon, says that David Colley was fired because the Bary's could not afford to pay him, so the Ohio court appointed Omar Tarazi:

Instead of Rifqa Bary being declared a dependent of the State of Ohio, put on a fast track for a green card and ultimate US Citizenship, she’s in foster care custody facing a lengthy dependency hearing.

Gordon also says that Tarazi had the help of attorney Shayan Elahi in Florida, and that both men were "successful" in getting Rifqa back to Ohio. As you'll read below, Gordon affirms the suspicion that both men are being paid by CAIR.

The JAWA Report says Florida investigators attempted to "investigate" the Columbus, Ohio Muslim community and the mosque attended by Rifqa's parents:

We can now report that those FDLE investigators were led on a wild goose chase to avoid the unsavory and terror-tied elements of the Bary family mosque by CAIR's Islamist mole in the Ohio Dept. of Public Safety, Omar Alomari, director of the ODPS Office of Multicultural Affairs.

As a result, those same FDLE investigators were sent reeling yesterday with the filing and release of an extensively footnoted 35 page brief by Rifqa's attorney....Why couldn't they discover any evidence of Islamic extremism in Central Ohio, home to the largest known Al-Qaeda cell in the US since 9/11?

According to Jamal, the Florida court, and her Guardian Ad Litem" Krista Bartholomew, gave up the emergency jurisdiction over Rifqa and the family's illegal immigration. He also believes that CAIR is working with the parents. That cannot be good news for Rifqa.

Upon her arrival came a new set of restrictions that her parents and Muslim attorneys have been trying to impose on her from the beginning...solitary confinement!

A children's services attorney, Jim Zorn, reported said this:

Bary's use of Facebook was one issue that led to the situation, said Jim Zorn, a children's services attorney, who asked Goodrich to restrict Bary from using the Internet and her cell phone. "What we want to restrict is the other people, the other organizations, the other forces, that have interjected themselves into this case inappropriately, and has caused the additional problems that we've seen," Zorn said.

Even Charles Manson has access to a jail phone. Mr. Zorn might include the fact that Rifqa is from a Mulim family, and felt threatened...and that is what "led to the situation." As Jamal point out:

While it is legal for 17 year old girls in this country to have abortions without parental agreement, this 17 year old girl is forbidden to have unrestricted access to her phone or facebook friends of her choosing! Is she under house arrest because she is a Christian? This sounds like Sharia law in Ohio!

The overriding fear is that the family will gain custody of Rifqa and send her back to Sri Lanka. You can imagine her fate there. Muslim fathers often have no qualms about the treatment of a daughter-gone-wrong, by definition by Islam.
