Glenn Beck Medical Testing for Scary Symptoms

Glenn Beck announced this morning on his radio show that he will spend two days in-hospital for doctors to try to figure out why he is losing feeling in his hands and feet, and has tingling in those areas which is moving up his arms, as well as problems with his vocal chords. See videos below.

Beck is asking for prayers for "clarity," and says he believes mental and spiritual issues affect physical conditions. Glenn says that he is reaching out of the "slime" and is "pulling himself out." He says he is in a "transition period," and this is not about "depression." I have noticed that increasingly, he is more heavy-hearted on his television show. He is fighting a battle with eye disease, and has indeed, been immersed in the "slime" coming out of Barack Obama's administration - as well as tracing back the "slime" in past administrations. Ed Schultz 300000 on October 2 in DC: Ed Schultz March With Me

I wanted my title to be Ed Schultz does Glenn Beck, but decided that might be taken the wrong way. So what I am saying is, Schultz wants to emulate Beck and his Restoring Honor rally. The more I think about this, the more I think that this is the start of something incredible.  If you watched Beck’s Friday show, there are tens of thousands of clergy, of all races, ready to sign on to this idea of restoring honor.  Additionally, they are begging the IRS to take their tax-exempt status.  They have hundreds that are reporting themselves for political speech, so they can sue the IRS, and win.  It is a revolt of sorts, and I don’t think the left will win it.  They have been doing it for several years, and IRS won’t bite on it.  The general interpretation is that they know that the’ll lose, so they leave the churches alone.

The Reverends Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton were positive that the timing and the location of the rally was mimicking Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and humiliating his legacy. This because the rally took place at the same place and day, some 47 years after King delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech. The reality is something much less sinister and much more honorable. During the speeches that were given, Dr. King and his speech was mentioned time after time. Glenn Beck himself gave honor to the man who has done so much for equality in America.

Amusing Bunni's Musings has a great video of a Boy Scout leading the masses in the Pledge of Allegiance and then a magnificent singing of the Star-Bangled Banner AND a stirring slideshow of Americans loving and honoring their country. This slideshow brought tears. This is the embodiment of the America spirit.

Al Sharpton Rallies Racism: Ben Jealous NAACP: Beck Crowd Would Not Applaud I Have a Dream Speech

 Al Sharpton's White-hate Reclaim the Dream rally, only yards away from Glenn Beck's Restoring Honor gathering, was intended to protect the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, who if alive today may have been standing on the stage with Beck, or at least as his niece, Dr. Alveda King said: "would like," what was said on August 28th on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. In the video below, hear Ben Jealous, the president of the NAACP, say if MLK's speech been read at Restoring Honor, the crowd would not have applauded.

Sharpton's embarrassment hasn't been this high-profile since he evoked Tawana Brawley's fake rape. He couldn't rally a significant crowd even with help from The U.S. Department of Education, which sent out 4000 emails, on federal computers, using federal employees, urging them to attend Al Sharpton's hate rally. Sharpton is claiming a crowd of 30,000, but some who stopped by both rallies are saying, huh-uh.  Joe Schoffstall at Eyeblast says 30,000 attendees are impossible - and points out the bleachers are at a high-school  athletic field and cannot hold anywhere near 30,000:

Sharpton’s website claims that 30,000 people made the 5-mile march to the MLK memorial, but I find that a little hard to believe. Those are high school football bleachers. There is nowhere near 30,000 people there.

So far, I have found no aerial shots of the Sharpton White-hate rally, but it is clear  Sharpton the Reverend Sharpton knows nothing of Grace. You cannot see it and you cannot hear it in this rally or in any interviews Sharpton has done since. Dittos Ben Jealous, the chairman of the NAACP, who says had the MLK I have a Dream speech been read at Beck's event, the crowd would not have applauded.

Arne Duncan Tries to Find a Crowd for Sharpton - Uses Government Computers

Over 4,000 employees of the Department of Education received an email (presumably on government, taxpayer paid computers) encouraging them to attend Al Sharpton's rally at a high school football field at the same time Glenn Beck's Restore Honor rally was underway on Saturday. The email was from Arne Duncan, Obama's Education Secretary. There must have been a high degree of angst in the Sharpton entourage, knowing that Glenn Beck's crowd would dwarf his own knee-jerk reaction to Restore Honor - where Sharpton believed he could save MLK's I Have a Dream speech from all those hideous Caucasians...at the same time Dr. Martin Luther King's niece, Dr. Alveda King, was a featured speaker at Beck's event.

The Washington Examiner was told about the email by a Department of Education employee who "felt uncomfortable" with the request.

Although the e-mail does not violate the Hatch Act, which forbids federal employees from participating in political campaigns, Education Department workers should feel uneasy, said David Boaz, executive vice president of the libertarian Cato Institute.

"It sends a signal that activity on behalf of one side of a political debate is expected within a department. It's highly inappropriate ... even in the absence of a direct threat," Boaz said. "If we think of a Bush cabinet official sending an e-mail to civil servants asking them to attend a Glenn Beck rally, there would be a lot of outrage over that."

Duncan spoke from the podium alongside Sharpton, saying education is "the civil rights issue of our generation," and "...we have to stop thinking of [poor-performing children] as other people's children." Translated: poor-performing children are the responsibility of the village - don't even think about blaming parents for their underachieving children.

Ed Schultz, really peeved that Obama had an interview with Fox News' Brett Baier - in his own time slot, and didn't come to "him," mentions something about no loyalty from the White House. The look on his face tells his story - he's eaten up with sheer jealousy, saying  "I busted my ass for Obama." His face gets even redder when he says Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA 9th) would not promise to tell the Congressional Black Caucus to stay off of Fox News. In this clip, Schultz ends with  "I'm really sorry that Glenn Beck's going blind, because I think it's a travesty he won't see the country he is destroying."

Glenn Beck on Big Brother, Barney, Chris, Fannie, Freddie Video

In this video Glenn Beck points out that all of our financial troubles stem from the house crises, as orchestrated by Barney Frank (D-Mass-4th), Chris Dodd (D-CT), Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Reminder: Senator Chris Dodd engineered the fatal financial reform bill. The entire video is good, but at about 8 minutes-in, it gets really serious. Between 8 min and 12 minutes is a must see. Beck is asking what we are all asking...or if you are not asking these questions, you should be. At 11 minutes in, you begin to see your future.

Pete Stark Bill to Tax Currency: Stark Bill Mimics UN Millennium Development Goal

Democrat Congressman Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA) introduced a tax on currency trading yesterday. This is right out of the U.N. Millennium Development Goal 2000 (UNMDG), but the U.N. calls it "a currency transfer tax." My title says Stark's bill mimics the UNMDG, but maybe it is the UNMDG. Rep. Stark is the man who recently caused an uproar at his townhall by asking a MinuteMan "who ya gonna kill today." See a video below.

President Obama's Senate Bill, the Global Poverty Act SB 2433 ties us to the UNMDG. It dithers somewhere between the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and 2008 Senate calendar. It awaits the right time to strike, and it "requires" the president, whomever that may be, to "develop" and "implement" the achievement of the UNMDG.

Here's the language in the U.N. Millennium Development Goal (UNMDG):

To introduce binding codes of conduct for transnational companies and effective tax regulation on the international financial markets, investing this money in programmes for poverty eradication.

As you read Pete Stark's statement, remember that the health care legislation requires coin and bullion dealers to report to the IRS every sale over $600.00 beginning January 2010. It is in the health care bill!  They are following the money.

Here is Stark's statement:

Today, I introduced H.R. 5783, the Investing in Our Future Act. My legislation would simply impose a small tax — of 0.005 percent — on these currency transactions. The money raised would be put toward investments in children, global health and climate change mitigation.

For the average person or business, this small tax will hardly be noticed. But, due to the extreme speculation that takes place, it would raise significant funds. Studies estimate a worldwide 0.005 percent tax on dollar transactions would raise $28 billion a year and reduce currency speculation by 14 percent.

Here at home, the funds from this fee would be used to improve the quality and affordability of child care. This funding would provide more child care options, so working families can obtain the quality care their children need to begin school ready to learn.

Internationally, the bill would create a U.S. fund to assist developing countries with the impacts of global warming. At the United Nations Climate Change Conference in December, President Obama pledged to fund our country's commitment to mitigating the effects of climate change. This bill would make that promise real.

Finally, the legislation would create a Global Health Trust Fund to fight HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Tuberculosis and other diseases that kill millions of people each year in developing nations. This money will fund treatments and prevention for these diseases, as well as research aimed at eradicating them altogether.

The U.N. Millennium Development Goal is astonishingly evil.  It will set migration policies and calls for "freedom of circulation for all," or Open Borders. The Global Financial Architecture will be revamped and use alternative time-based currency, rather than "real" money.

Sets up a global habitat conservation fund with a "royalty" (tax) on fossil energy production of oil, natural gas and coal. There will be a tax on the rental value of land and natural resources. A goal of democratic political control of the global economy. The world's workers are to be respected and that will happen by regulating transnational corporations.

The plan is to control  and monitor arms with an arms registry.There will be a worldwide freeze on armed forces and a 25% cut in production and export of major weapons and small arms - with a "build-down of conventional forces.

Back to H.R. 5783, at this time there are no co-sponsors. The Huffington Post is asking readers to call their congressmen and ask them sponsor this legislation.

Glenn Beck Macular Dystrophy: Glenn Beck Losing Sight?

Yesterday, Beck aired a short segment with him telling a crowd he might be losing his sight. When the clip was over Beck did not explain. Many have been wondering about it. Now we understand that Glenn has Macular Dystrophy and could lose his sight. See a video below.

According to The Epoch Times the Macular Dystrophy is a degenerative disease that causes the eyes to lose sharp central vision - the sight that allows us to see faces clearly, drive and read.

"He said, 'You have macular dystrophy. ... You could go blind in the next year. Or, you might not,” Beck said. He wept, but also made jokes about his diagnosis. He is known for frequently weeping on his show.

“I said, ‘Did you just charge me a thousand dollars for knowing what I already knew my whole life?’ I think we know that at three! ‘You might go blind someday. You might not.’”

Macular Dystrophy is not a common disease. There is a form that makes itself known in the first 10 years of life, with vision possibly "significantly reduced" by age 20-40. The adult onset becomes known in midlife. From what I'm reading the adult onset may not cause blindness, or it may, as Glenn has said.

The ugliness has already started on the Internet. I won't quote them. In the video below, Glenn tells the story. It begins about 6:22 minutes in. Many of us will praying for you Glenn.

Puerto Rico Democracy Our 51st State Happening Now?

I didn't hear Glenn Beck's radio show today but I did see some of his TV show. The U.S. House will vote to allow Puerto Rico to become a U.S. state. This is a complicated matter but the video gives an excellent explanation of the coming convoluted action in the House of tomorrow, April 29, with a vote on the Puerto Rico Democracy Act (H.R. 2499). This involves a new political party in Puerto Rico - The Progressive Party - which has figured out how engineer the Territory of Puerto Rico into U.S. statehood, even though Puerto Rico has never wanted statehood in the past. There are sources that I cannot cite that say the New Progressive Party "advocates for Puerto Rico's admission to the United States of America as the 51st state. Since 2008, I believe I am correct saying that the Progressive Party holds a large majority in their House of Representatives and Senate.

Important: Please call your Congresscritters on Friday April 29 - early as possible, as we don't know the time of the vote. Tell them to vote NO on H.R. 2499.

The possibility is that Puerto Rico becomes a state, and the Democrats gain 6 Congressmen and 2 Democrat Senators.

Quietly sailing through the House this week is yet another piece of partisan stealth legislation aimed at manufacturing more Democrat power at the expense ofthe American people, the economy and the country.

Not only is Puerto Rico already a fully-functioning democracy, but it has also repeatedly rejected attempts to turn it into a U.S. state, for decades.

But still, desperate to create new Democrat voters and elected officials, the left is now aggressively setting the stage for the creation of a 51st state.

Due to its dense population of poverty-stricken minorities, Puerto Rico can be counted on to vote overwhelmingly for Democrats and all their handouts, and their representation will also consequently outnumber that of 25 other existing U.S. states.

Meanwhile, with Puerto Ricans having an average income of less than half that of our poorest state, they will instantly become eligible for dozens of our welfare programs. Truckloads of taxpayer dollars will also have to be perpetually dumped into the territory, by federal law, to bring it up to American infrastructure and environmental standards.

Megyn Kelly Howard Stern: Megyn Marries Sean, Sleeps with Bill and Kills Glenn: Megyn Kelly on The View

Fox News America Live host, Megyn Kelly went on the Howard Stern show for some reason, I cannot phantom. She also appeared on The View this morning. See that video below. Stern has a little game he likes to play known as "Marry, F, Kill." Stern gave Kelly three names, and she had to choose which she would do what "to" or "with." You don't even have to guess at the names: they were of course Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck. Megyn chose to marry Sean, sleep with Bill, and kill Glenn.

Glenn Beck Secret Audio of Chuck Schumer: Changing Senate Rules

If you saw Beck today you saw a very interesting panel discussion that included Judge Napolitano. The video clip below contains "secret" audio of Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) speaking to a group of "progressives," and he is allegedly not aware that he is being taped. The quote I show below is at about the 2:40 mark, but the entire discussion is about Schumer's remarks.

First thing to know is Senator Tom Udall (D-NMex) introduced a resolution on January 25, 2010, that some or all rules of the Senate may be changed on the first day of the 112th Congress, January 3, 2011, and he plans to do it with a "majority vote." And he wrote a letter to Barack Obama to tell him all about it. This was actually a speech delivered from the floor of the Senate, addressed to the President.

It is to say that, at the beginning of the 112th Congress, the Senate can exercise its constitutional right to adopt its rules of procedure by a simple majority vote.

This is the quote from Schumer that you'll hear in the video:

There have some very interesting papers written that said that the constitutional right of the Senate to make its own rules supercedes the 2/3 that you can't change the rules but only when Congress writes the new rules at the beginning of each congress, when we reorganize ourselves. That's something we want to explore. 

Schumer is talking about the U.S. Constitution, Article 1, Section 5 which says, in part:

Each House may determine the rules of its Proceedings...

So, those few words quoted above from the U.S. Constitution do not say when the House or Senate may determine their rules by changing them.

  Senator Tom Udall's  letter to President Obama dated January 25, 2010, says the Senate body cannot get anything done because of "partisan rancor:"

Article 1, Section 5 of our Constitution states in clear language that, “each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings.” Yet at the beginning of the 111th Congress, we implicitly acquiesced to rules adopted decades, and sometimes more than a century ago. Rules that most members of this Senate have never voted to adopt. Today these rules put in place generations ago make effective legislating nearly impossible.

It seems Udall believes that rule changes can only be made at the opening of each Congress. I feel certain this is what Schumer is talking about in the video.

Udall quote the rule about a 2/3 majority change:

As adopted in 1975, Rule XXII requires two-thirds of Senators present and voting to agree to end debate on a change to the Senate rules – in most cases 67 votes.

Taken together, these two rules effectively deny the Senate the opportunity to exercise its constitutional right to determine the Rules of its Proceedings … and serve to bind this body to rules adopted by its predecessors.

Opponents of rules reform argue that the Senate is a continuing body, and therefore the rules must remain in effect from one Congress to the next. I disagree with this assertion.

Udall quotes Republican Senator Orrin Hatch in a National Review article in 2005:

“The Senate has been called a „continuing body.‟ Yet language reflecting this observation was included in Senate rules only in 1959. The more important, and much older, sense in which the Senate is a continuing body is its ongoing constitutional authority to determine its rules. Rulings by vice presidents of both parties, sitting as the President of the Senate, confirm that each Senate may make that decision for itself, either implicitly by acquiescence or explicitly by amendment. Both conservative and liberal legal scholars, including those who see no constitutional problems with the current filibuster campaign, agree that a simple majority can change Senate rules at the beginning of a new Congress.”

So Senator Udall is appealing to the President of the United States to do something about how Senators handle their business. Pathetic. Maybe not, but I suppose we will have a Senate Rules Czar who is not a Senator. Okay, this was not a letter, it was a speech, addressed to the President - but Obama would have a "Rules Change Czar" to govern the Senate if he could. We know he would. Note the use of the word "precedent." 


Update 3-17-10: In Udall's speech, he said the current language was added by Johnson: 

To appease a small group of Senators, Johnson had included new language. This language stated that the rules continued from one Congress to the next, unless they were changed under the rules. It was a move that would effectively bind all future Senates.

In a "Changing Senate Rules" (CRS) for Congress document, which was prepared in 2005 to explore the "Nuclear Options," but is pertinent to any rule change, comes the following discussion, and it all comes down to "precedent." "Precedent" is the yardstick, as Congress is considered a "continuous body" from session to session:


Opening Day5 Scenario One — Majority Rules Change (page CRS-3):

The Senate has long considered itself a continuing body. Consistent with this premise, the practice of the Senate has been not to re-adopt rules in a new Congress. There has been debate about whether the rules that govern the Senate in one Congress should continue in effect to the next Congress. Supporters of this position argue that, because only one-third of the membership of the Senate changes at any one time, and a quorum of the Senate is always in existence, the body does not need to reconstitute itself at the beginning of each Congress and, thus, the existing rules continue in effect from one Congress to the next. 

Opponents of this position, however, point out that under these conditions, any change in rules must be considered under the existing rules, which can make changing the rules extremely difficult. They contend that this “entrenchment” of the rules unconstitutionally inhibits the Senate from exercising its constitutional authority to determine its own rules.

On the same page, the analyst writing this says: "Those who would seek to amend Senate rules or end a filibuster by a majority vote might use the first day of a new Congress to advance their proposal...

The analyst also indicates that precedent is very important, and uses the example of changing cloture rules [page CRS-8]:

Because the Senate has not utilized the “nuclear” or “constitutional” option before, the consequences of doing so are unclear. The potential exists for significant repercussions. In describing the Senate, most modern congressional scholars now refer to it as a “unanimous consent body.”

When a rule is changed, it effects the harmony of the Senate and the future of other Senate rules [page CRS-9]:

Another concern would be consequences for other rules of the Senate. Because it is so difficult to change the Senate’s rules, they have remained fairly stable, and therefore the basic structure of Senate procedure has remained fairly constant.

The Senate is governed by the Constitution, the Standing Rules of the Senate, permanent Standing Orders of the Senate (adopted in prior Congresses), temporary Standing Orders of the Senate (adopted at the beginning of each Congress), and statutes. It is also governed by precedents, which are decisions made by the presiding officer of the Senate, or the body itself, concerning how its rules operate in practice. The precedents tend to elaborate the Senate’s understanding of its own rules.

Precedents have tremendous weight in deciding parliamentary questions in the Senate, and the presiding officer, whether the Vice President or a majority party Senator, is expected to be guided by these precedents when ruling on a pending question.

The Standing Rules of the Senate would seem to be the obvious place to start if a Senator desired to change that chamber’s procedures. If there is no substantial opposition, the Standing Rules of the Senate can be changed by a simple majority vote; there is no supermajority requirement for changing the rules. If, however, there is opposition to the proposed rules change and if opponents seek to prevent a final vote on the proposal by extended debate and amendment, known as a filibuster, a supermajority requirement does exist for invoking cloture, or ending debate, on a rules change. For 3-1/2 hours, 5,000 Oklahomans in Tulsa's civic center confirmed their deep commitment to defeating the Democrat agenda in Washington, D.C. Oklahoma, the reddest state in the Nation, which long ago elected the the reddest (most conservative) Senator, Jim Inhofe, were enthusiastic participants in "Taking Our Country Back," and this Tulsan had to miss it because of foot surgery! The good news is, I'll at Sean Hannity's Freedom Concert in August.

According to the Liberal Tulsa World, which says the audience was 6000-large, Beck and Palin were calling for "Americans to "demand a smaller government that adheres to the principles of founding fathers." This from Palin:

"There is no need for a fundamental transformation of America...."

Beck said progressives are for revolutionary government intrusion and they misinterpret the Constitution as a living document:

Glenn Beck's Most Conservative in Congress: Beck Picks Bachmann DeMint

Glenn Beck is on Greta Van Susteren this minute. Greta asked him who he agrees with more than anyone in Congress. He said he did not want to endorse anyone, but Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) was "doing the Tea Party thing" before Tea Parties existed, and Senator Jim DeMint  (R-SC) "is doing a very good job." I paraphrased but think I'm close to Beck's exact comment.

I believe these two are everything he says they are.
