Pelosi Heckled: Nancy Pelosi Americas Future Now Code Pink Conf Heckled - Relentlessly

How refreshing is this? The heckling goes on and on as Pelosi speaks to America's Future Now, a progressive group...the evening said to be hosted by Code Pink. Confusion reigned. She was heckled relentlessly. Hear one of her aides say, "They're throwing stuff. We need to leave."She doesn't leave. See two videos below.

Nancy Pelosi

You'll hear protesters beg for funding for their states, and if I understand this correctly, they love the progressive freebies coming courtesy of taxpayers, but they want more money to flow.

FireDogLake reports this:
OK, so I got a little more information on the nature of the protest. The group ADAPT, which fights for the rights of the disabled, organized it. Madeleine McMahon, an activist with ADAPT, told me that Speaker Pelosi has refused to support the Community Choice Act (HR1670), which would remove a mandate in Title XIX of the Social Security Act that all states receiving Medicaid funding provide nursing home services, making community-based alternatives optional. 2/3 of federal dollars for long term care in Medicaid must support nursing homes under current law.

DC Police SEIU: DC Police Escort SEIU Protesters to Bank Exec Home

If you have any concerns about the Obama agenda, and your own sovereignty as a citizen of the U.S., The One sent you a clear message when the Washington D.C. Metro police escorted 13 buses of SEIU bully-protesters to the Maryland Montgomery County home of Greg Baer, a Bank of America executive. Baer's teenaged son was inside the home alone.

SEIU on the lawn Bank of America Executive

Five hundred SEIU bullies stood "near" Baer's front lawn, which obviously means that many others in the neighborhood had to put up with this police and union protest as well. One of those was journalist and FOX News contributor, Nina Easton,  who spoke to Baer's son by phone as the protest was happening.

Read more by Liberty Chick writing at BigGovernment here and here, and check out her blog here. If police standing by as a private home is innundated by 500 thugs, isn't alarming to you, and if hair somewhere on your body isn't standing straight-up, you are not thinking.

Rally Sign Threatens to Shoot More Police in Arizona

A picture is worth a good solid law, written, signed, and defended to protect the rights of the legal citizenry. Can't wait to hear about this in the MSM tomorrow. Isn't it against the law to threaten a police officer, and isn't it against the law to be in the country illegally?

Check out the sign here which says:

Give us free health care, jobs - no taxes, house, food.
You owe us America!
We will shoot more police in Arizona until we get free!

Dallas Rally Depicts Jan Brewer as Hitler's Daughter

Dallas protesters of Arizona's illegal alien law showed their lack of class and lack of respect for this country's rule of law, with signs depicting Arizona governor, Jan Brewer, in a Nazi uniform and the words:

Dallas Rally no class - no respect
Hitler's Daughter - She classifies people by where they were born. History repeats itself. If are not blonde and have blue eyes, be aware.
Jammie Wearing Fool has the story. Thanks to Larwyn.

St. Charles Rallies All Day: 2,225 Attend Morning Obama Health Care Protest 3-10-10

President Obama is speaking at his 3,588th health care rally in St. Charles (St. Louis) today. THE PUBLIC BANNED FROM ATTENDING! Protest events in the area all day...a morning rally had 2,225 pack a convention center ballroom.

St. Charles Rally - Morning Event
Pullout Quote from St. Louis Tea Party:
...we will gather as free men and women to tell this President, a servant by law and a ruler in his own imagination, that our will trumps his on all matters of domestic policy.
At the morning rally, where some 2000+ people packed into a convention ballroom in St. Charles (see photo above) with Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder and U.S. Rep. Todd Akin and other members of the Missouri legislature to protest a government take over of health care, a local radio host acting as moderator, asked the crowd if any Democrats were present. One man stood up. Note - Democrats were not banned.

This from The St. Louis Tea Party:
Please plan to be on 9th street between Lucas and Delmar at 5:00 PM [CDT] Wednesday March 10th. (Gateway Pundit says "Wear Black")
**UPDATE**
AFTERNOON SPEECH AT ST. CHARLES HIGH
President Obama will be at the St. Charles High School at around 3:00 p.m.  Apparently, he wants to poison the minds of our kids.
Evening Protests
The St. Louis Tea Party Coalition and many other groups will be at the Renaissance Grand Hotel at 800 Washington Ave.  We’ll be there, beginning at 5:00 p.m., to disabuse the President, the Carnie family of hoodlums and crooks, and Senator Claire McCaskill of any notion that they might have that we want their brand of socialized medicine. Please join us.
If you are on our email list, you’ve received information about some of the activities planned for downtown Wednesday.  This will be a major event.  Please try to make it.  More details by email later tomorrow morning and Wednesday morning.
Missouri blogger Bungalow Bill makes these points:
There are two developments that need to be pointed out today during Obama's visit to the St. Louis area. The first is more than three times the amount of people who showed up for Obama's healthcare pep rally have shown up in opposition at the St. Charles tea party event opposing the healthcare plan. This is a consistent ratio that is noted in many polls today as well.

It is also important to note that Obama has come to St. Louis to raise money for Claire McCaskill, one of his most loyal Senators who often looks like a lovesick puppy dog when she is near Obama. Wait a minute!  (read more about who is raising money for what and why - and who is left out in the cold, at Bungalow Bill's)
The RiverFrontTimes says there are two events today.
Later today everyone heads to downtown St. Louis where Obama is hosting a dinner fundraiser at the Renaissance Grand for Senator Claire McCaskill. The Tea Party plans a protest outside the hotel.
More from Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit (check in with him for reports later in the day):
We need ALL HANDS ON DECK, and ALL BOOTS on the Ground!! If you can take time off work, if you can leave your children or elderly parent with a sitter (or bring them)…if you can at all make this rally – DO IT!

This may be it! Pelosi is trying to bring this to the floor for a vote in the coming days…and is strong-arming all the moderate dems into voting for Obamacare Socialized Medicine – and Federally Funded Abortion. In a “nuclear option” procedure that was never intended for major social mandates, Nancy & Harry…and Leader Obama – clearly intend to disenfranchise well over half of the American People!

UCLA Student Fee Hike Riots: UCLA Fee Hike Protest Video

The Board of Regents at UCLA will vote to hike undergraduate tuition fees by 32 percent over the next two years. It is estimated the 32 percent increase will cost each full-time student $2,500 over two years. Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch of students and faculty, in my opinion.

UCLA Covel Commons

Students and union members showed up by the hundreds, as university police barricaded the entrance to Covel Commons, where chants of "Who's university? Our university." Nightsticks and Tasers were used to force the crowd back. In the second day of protests, today, a sit-in ensued at Campbell Hall, which was closed for the day:
Inside, about 40 to 50 students had chained the doors shut shortly after midnight and were issuing e-mail statements.
I have no sympathy for these little university socialist liberals, who have such disdain for conservatism. I hope they get their tax sooner, rather than later, which will likely count among their first real "life experiences."

California is broke...it desperatly needs revenue. These ungrateful students and faculty should be honored to step in and do their part to fund a long-held bastion of far-left indoctrination. Conservatives have been doing just that for most of their working lives, whether they want to or not.
Tommy Le, a fourth-year student at UC Santa Cruz, who left his campus at 3 a.m. today in a convoy of two buses headed south. Le, 21, an American studies major from El Monte, said he was worried about how he being able to afford the higher charges, starting with an additional $585 for the rest of the school year.
Mr. Le, have you taken any interest in the unemployement rate today? Grown-ups are obsessed with it. Do you have any idea how many parents are trying to figure out a way to make their mortgage payment, now that the Democrat housing bubble has decimated the market? People have real-life problems, and most people have more than just themselves to worry about.

In the 2004 Spring issue of the UCLA Magazine, Ajay Singh wrote:
Conservatives, for their part, object that far too many members of the faculty are moral relativists who eschew notions of good and evil and don't believe that certain immutable truths in Western thought are worth preserving. Worse, liberal faculty teach students to view religious and patriotic values with suspicion.
That, in any case, is the central idea behind Brainwashed: How Universities Indoctrinate America's Youth, a book written by Ben Shapiro '04 and published earlier this year. Shapiro claims that while he was a student at UCLA in 2002, he was fired as a columnist for the Daily Bruin. The reason, according to Shapiro, was that he went on a local radio talk show and criticized UCLA's "pro-Muslim stance" — a reference to the Bruin's refusal to publish two of his columns against a Muslim-student organization on campus that Shapiro asserted supports terrorism.
A 2005 study printed in the Washington Post says 72 percent of those teaching at American universities and colleges are liberal and 15 percent are conservative.
The disparity is even more pronounced at the most elite schools, where, according to the study, 87 percent of faculty are liberal and 13 percent are conservative.

Rothman sees the findings as evidence of "possible discrimination" against conservatives in hiring and promotion. Even after factoring in levels of achievement, as measured by published work and organization memberships, "the most likely conclusion" is that "being conservative counts against you," he said. "It doesn't surprise me, because I've observed it happening." The study, however, describes this finding as "preliminary.
Conservative families go though emotional angst as they try to find a way to educate their children with some smattering of the conservative viewpoint, for balance. Shopping for the less expensive option of a state university leaves no avenue to diversity in thought, but lots of diversity in ethnicity. In fact, your white son or daughter will likely fall to the back of the admissions line, no matter their test scores. Those who "get" from the government will lap-up the liberal bias. The good university-educated liberal-ales will march into the world with no understanding of conservative issues, and they won't have a clue how far-left and dangerous they are to American's founding principles.

I'm for monumental tution increases at universities all over the country. It's the only fair thing to do. More Americans say they are conservative, than moderate or liberal, and both conservatives (40%) and moderates (37%) number almost twice those admitting they are liberal (20%). In the video below, you'll see a very noisy and animated protest. Really, it could not happen to a more deserving school unless it's UC Berkely.

Caspian Makan was Neda Agha Soltans Fiance: Caspian Makan was Nedas Boyfriend: Neda Movie Coming

Caspian Makan says he was Neda Agha Soltan's fiance when she was shot down in the streets of Tehran, Iran on June 20, 2009.

Neda Agha Soltan

Caspian Makan

While the West watched in horror, the beautiful young woman known as Neda Agha Soltan, died as bystanders videoed her blood draining into the streets. She took a bullet directly to the heart - and had told her fiance, Caspian Makan, 37, that she was willing to do just that - take a bullet to the heart, to bring democracy to her country.

On the day of her death, Neda was in a car stalled in heavy traffic with her friend, Hamid Panahi, and two others. They were making their way to a protest area. While the traffic went nowhere, the story is, Neda stepped into the street for fresh air and was immediately hit in the chest. Panahi is quoted saying "All she wanted was the proper vote of the people to be counted."

Makan and Neda met in Turkey only two months prior to her death, when Neda was traveling with a guided tour through Turkey, Dubai and Thailand.

He tells the GuardianUK that Neda was politically active and dedicated to overthrowing Achmadinejad. Makan refused to join the protests and was nervous about Neda taking part. She told him he should be documenting the violence.
Neda was present at the front line of the protests from the very first day. She was a natural leader and attracted many [protesters] to her side. I think that is why she was shot. ...they wanted to extinguish her.
It is worth noting that some friends say that Neda was not a long-time activist and had just begun speaking out about the elections, so the degree of her activism is unclear.

Caspian did not learn of Neda's death until the morning after she died. He was arrested three days later,"on the personal order of Khamenei," and was detained for 65 days in the notorious Evin prison. He was released after signing papers promising to never again talk about Neda, and never to leave the Iran. Using smugglers to get him out of the country, he made it out safely.

Makan has recently given two interviews and a documentary or a movie about Neda is in the works with director Angus Macqueen:
In both interviews she emerges as a markedly different figure to the young woman depicted at the time of her death. Her fiance describes her as politically active and assertive, convinced she was fighting for "democracy and freedom" for Iranians.
Neda was 26. She was divorced, a graduate of Islamic Azad University. She was a musician and singer and had made a name for herself in

According to Makan, and contrary to most reports at the time of the protests, Neda Soltan did not support any of the candidates opposing Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Two days after Neda was shot down, violent protests followed and a Iranian cleric opposed to Achmadinejad, called for three days of public mourning. Reports vary about her burial. Some say the Iranian government withheld her body for a time, some say she was buried by the government in a grave set aside for protesters.

Other reports say the family was denied a public funeral and only family was allowed to attend. Neda's family and friends tried to gather at their local mosque for a memorial and found a sign on the door saying "there is no commemoration here for Neda Agha Soltan. The Basij military arrived and broke-up the mourners. At the time, prayers for Neda in local mosques were banned. and neighbors said the family was forced from their home - although that report cannot be confirmed.

The ACLU and the Nazi Stance

Nazism, the restraining, abolishment or defending of it, is a very current issue. Below are two differing views of an ACLU stance in the works right now. ACLU Defending Nazis Again ACLU to Defend Nazis Again 1) ACLU defending Nazis again by cao @ 3:28 am. Filed under ACLU Shortly after I graduated High School in 1977, the ACLU defended the American Nazi Party here in Skokie when they wanted to march there. I felt that was an rude and audacious move, since so many holocaust survivors and their families live in Skokie; I've met some of them, and seen their tattoos from the concentration camps of Auschwitz, Bergen Belzen, and others. The Captain has a post referring to that old debacle, plus a more recent one here: The ACLU lost a number of members in 1977 when they defended the American Nazi Party when they wanted to stage a demonstration in the town of Skokie, Illinois — a city where a number of Holocaust victims and their families had settled. Over 30,000 ACLU members staged a demonstration of their own when they marched out of the organization, even after the ACLU won the case, and even though the Nazis never did march in Skokie. It was disgusting! I was watching the news coverage over that then. The idea of these people marching through the streets of holocaust victims and their families was infuriating. The fact that the ACLU propped their right to do it, completely ignorant of the shattered lives and feelings of these people went beyond bad taste and crossed the line. Thirty years later, the ACLU proves that they have not learned their lesson. The Ohio chapter has agreed to represent the American Nazi Party again in a conflict over a demonstration permit, this time in a predominantly black neighborhood in Cincinnati. Holly at The Moderate Voice shares the e-mail: On April 20, 2007, the American National Socialist Workers Party of Roanoke, VA—a neo-Nazi group—plans to march through the predominantly African-American neighborhood of Over-the-Rhine in Cincinnati. The city initially issued a permit to the group for its march, but the permit was soon revoked and prohibitions were added by city officials limiting the group's demonstration to a three-block area. Believing their constitutional rights to free speech and free assembly have been violated, the ACLU of Ohio will be defending the demonstrators. This looks to me like a call to Louis Farrakhan, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, and seems timely because of the Don Imus firing over racism. In their world, you're a racist if you're white! To me, you're a racist if you're a leftist. If these people are allowed to do this, Don Imus should be reinstated. The ACLU condemns violent action and supports its prevention. Yet we also believe that our government must allow citizens their unhindered right to free speech. The City of Cincinnati should stand behind this basic freedom while taking steps to ensure a peaceful demonstration. As in previous cases where the ACLU has come to the defense of people or groups with whom we disagree, our position is rooted in certain fundamental principles. While we in no way endorse the views of the American National Socialist Workers Party, we believe that the constitutional guarantees of freedom of speech and press would be meaningless if the government could pick and choose the persons to whom they apply. I think the American National Socialist Workers Party is seeking our destruction, and I'm not sure that 'allowing their freedom of speech' is something anyone should sanction or approve. I agree that the government should not be in the business of determining the acceptability of political speech. I would not want to have to get permission to hold a public assembly that hinges on the political content of the speech for myself, and I would want government have the same approach for others as well. However, that isn't what has happened in Over-The-Rhine, at least judging by the ACLU's description. The city did revoke their permit, but then apparently issued another that gives them three blocks in which to demonstrate. That does not sound like an overwhelming burden for the Nazis to meet, and it does not keep them from conducting their protest. They're not being stopped from demonstrating; they want to complain because of the boundaries placed on their protest, even though such permits routinely impose boundaries on demonstrations. That's interesting…during the DNC, there was a place for protesters to protest, but it was surrounded by a fence, outside of the view of media cameras. Although many people showed up to demonstrate, the media didn't cover it. It will be interesting to see how much coverage the Nazis get. The ACLU will put themselves in the position of arguing that the city of Cincinnati has no authority to determine the geographical boundaries for a protest — on behalf of a group that would, if given the chance, strip everyone of the right to demonstrate in any form at all. They do so even though they have no requirement to represent Nazis; the Nazis could hire their own lawyers to handle this case, and unfortunately they can probably afford it, too. The ACLU has determined that they can get a lot of publicity for their flacking on behalf of Nazis, and have climbed into bed with racists as a result. They're doing nothing more than unnecessarily enabling the Nazis. Indiana Jones once said, "I hate these guys." In this context, it would be difficult to determine which group he would have meant. The ACLU's support of Islamic terrorists has become quite apparent over the past few years, why should this reminder come as a surprise to anyone? The ACLU is about destroying the spirit of the laws we have in place to convict and put away criminals to make America safe; and to prop the rights of NAMBLA, felons, drug dealers and murderers - not to mention the fascists that want to attack us of the Islamic variety. 2) ACLU To Defend Nazis Again by JonJayRay @ 2:26 am. Filed under ACLU We read: "The ACLU lost a number of members in 1977 when they defended the American Nazi Party when they wanted to stage a demonstration in the town of Skokie, Illinois — a city where a number of Holocaust victims and their families had settled. Over 30,000 ACLU members staged a demonstration of their own when they marched out of the organization, even after the ACLU won the case, and even though the Nazis never did march in Skokie. Believing their constitutional rights to free speech and free assembly have been violated, the ACLU of Ohio will be defending the demonstrators. No doubt many readers and bloggers will disagree with me about this but I think the ACLU have got this one right. Free speech is not free speech if you can pick and choose to whom it applies. I imagine however that the ACLU are just doing it to show how "unbiased" they are. It's easy to defend groups that are no real threat to you. (For more postings from me, see TONGUE-TIED, EDUCATION WATCH, GREENIE WATCH, POLITICAL CORRECTNESS WATCH, FOOD & HEALTH SKEPTIC, GUN WATCH, SOCIALIZED MEDICINE , AUSTRALIAN POLITICS, DISSECTING LEFTISM, IMMIGRATION WATCH and EYE ON BRITAIN. My Home Pages are here or here or here. Email me (John Ray) here.) In a comment left at the original post: loboinok Says: April 14th, 2007 at 2:53 am e The only disagreement I would have is, that the city restricted their right to protest but didn't deny them their right. That restriction was apparently for the safety of the protesters as well as the citizens. And secondly, the ACLU of Ohio, stated in an email; Throughout the history of the ACLU, our firm dedication to civil liberties has directed us to defend the rights of all Americans—even, at times, those whose messages we abhor. For nearly a century, we have adhered to Voltaire's principle that "I may disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." [snip] As in previous cases where the ACLU has come to the defense of people or groups with whom we disagree, our position is rooted in certain fundamental principles. While we in no way endorse the views of the American National Socialist Workers Party, we believe that the constitutional guarantees of freedom of speech and press would be meaningless if the government could pick and choose the persons to whom they apply. They defend the rights of ALL Americans, unless you are an anti-abortion protestor, protesting at an abortion mill or a student wearing a t-shirt opposing the "Day of silence". To name two.
