Socialism - Liberalism Quotation
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened." – Norman Thomas
Client No. 9, also known as Eliot Spitzer, interviewed Kentucky's new Senator-elect, Rand Paul. Paul is a medical doctor and has said physicians pay for treatment of Medicare patients should not be cut unless all federal payrolls are cut. Spitzer thought he had Paul on the end of his pitchfork after showing the trillions spent on medicare, medicaid and social security. See the video below.
Rand Paul
Paul pointed out that further cuts in physician's pay would be on top of the already-implemented 50% cut. Spitzer wasn't interested and offered no follow-up. Then he tried to broadside Paul by asking what his income was as a physician treating predominately Medicare patients. Paul didn't skip a beat, and suggested if Spitzer wanted to talk about Rand's past, perhaps they might also talk about Spitzer's own (which undoubtedly would include the disgraced Governor of New York State being outed as "Client No. 9" in a prositution scandal which brought his resignation as governor).
Rand Paul will be a conservative voice to be reckoned with when he hits the Senate. It's a good thing.
See how successful Spitzer's recent gig is here. Read additional commentary on this story at FireAndreaMitchell - Stop The Leftist Propaganda Machine
Get this. Democrats have added five Republican senators to their "hit list," naming them BP Republicans. Nevermind that Barack Obama received the biggest donation of anyone in Congress from BP, and millions arrived in the warchests of prominent Democrats. Ah, none of that has anything to do with "the list." The list is merely...convenient - and targets hotly contested seats. To be clear (as Obama would say), it really has nothing to do with BP, and everything to do with a Democrat smear. Democrat funds will flood into these races. Read below what you can do about it.
Democrat Hit List
The Liberal battle cry ringing forth: "stop standing in the way and start working with President Obama and Democrats," the list names a Republican senator and a Republican congressman Sen. David Vitter (LA) and Rep. Joe Barton (TX). The remaining three are candidates trying to unseat Democrats: Candidates for the Senate, Ron Johnson (WI), Dino Rossi (WA) and Pat Toomey (PA).
Previously designated BP Republicans are Rep. Joe Barton (TX) and candidates for the Senate, Sharron Angle (NV) and Rand Paul (KY).
Let's keep these
people on our donations list - as little or as much as possible to give.
If you have not made online donations before, it is very, very easy. It is safe and your name can be kept private. It takes about 2 minutes, no longer. Every cent counts, and if you do donate, please put a notation that you
are donating with the Ten Buck Friday bloggers and readers. No on in Ten Buck Fridays benefits in any way by the donations made. Our
Internet presence can be a force for great good. By the time November rolls around, let's make our candidates aware that we are here, working for them, knowing they will be working for us.
Sarah Palin has endorsed Dr. Rand Paul for the Republican US Senate seat for Kentucky - endorsed him by voice and followed it up from her pocket book.
Paul's main Republican opponents vying for retiring Senator Jim Bunning's seat are Secretary of State, Trey Grayson, and Navy veteran Ben Johnson. Rand Paul is the son of the controversial Libertarian candidate, Ron Paul. He is an ophthalmologist in Bowling Green Kentucky. Visit Rand Paul on the Issues. For more, Conservatives4Palin.
According to authorities, William "Bill" Sparkman took out two insurance policies recently and then killed himself. Of particular importance: Glenn Beck cannot be blamed for Mr. Sparkman's death. Latest update 11-24-09 below.
William "Bill" Sparkman
Mr. Sparkman "acted alone" in attempting to stage his death as a murder, according to investigators. The insurance policies will not pay the claim if the death is a confirmed suicide.
Sparkman's naked body was found hanging from a tree, with his feet in contact with the ground. His eyes and mouth were were taped and an identification tag was allegedly found on his body. The word "fed" was scrawled across his chest in black marker ink.
Mr. Sparkman was a part-time substitute teacher and a part-time census worker. When his body was found in the Daniel Boone Forest in southeastern Kentucky, the Left jumped at the chance to intimate that skinheads and/or rednecks had killed the man as he was taking the census in some rugged, backwood territory said to be infiltrated with meth labs, drug dealers and pot growers. Glenn Beck, tea-party goers and other conservative radio talkers were also blamed for ginning up anti-government sentiment. Problem was, he was not taking the census and Glenn Beck and his supporters were not responsible.
Bill Sparkman was a sick man. He battled non-Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer for years, as well as chemo-therapy treatments. Friends say he was congenial, always smiling, punctual and dependable. He was single, had a grown adopted son, and presumably wanted to leave money to that son.
Autopsy results showed no evidence of any cancer or terminal illness,
officials said, although it was reported that Sparkman had previously
had lymphoma. Police would not say who the beneficiary of the insurance
was.
The report also said that Sparkman was found almost on his knees, and could have stood any time he wanted to do so.
In addition, he told a "credible witness" of his plans to commit
suicide and stage the scene to make it look like he was slain because
he worked for the federal government. The details were consistent with
how Sparkman died and was found, Rudzinski said.
Sparkman had told the witness, whom police declined to name, that he
intended to dispose of some of his personal effects, including his
laptop computer and other items. Police have not found those items,
Rudzinski said.
The Portland Progressive Examiner thinks Glenn Beck's 9-12 "protest" might have "inspired" the hanging of Bill Sparkman (William E. Sparkman, Jr.) whose body was found on September 12th, 2009 hanging from a tree in the Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky. See a video of Mr. Sparkman below. See update 10-27-09 11-24-09 below.
Bill Sparkman (William E. Sparkman, Jr.)
Michael Stone writing for the Portland Progressive Examiner just lays it out there and points the finger:
The anger and hate generated by media personalities such as Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh, and politicians such as Joe Wilson and Sarah Palin, is bound to find an outlet that leads to violence and tragedy. It was, and is, only a matter of time.
While Mr. Sparkman is know to have died of asphyxiation, police from the area, as well as FBI spokesman David Beyer, said Sparkman's "feet were in contact with the ground when he was found...."
Police say they're looking at three possibilities: suicide, accident or homicide.
Early reports said the word "Fed" was scrawled across Bill Sparkman's chest, but so far, that account has no solid confirmation. "Anonymous law enforcement official[s]" say that report contains some "inaccuracies."
There is also no confirmation that Mr. Sparkman was working in the field for the Census Bureau at the time he died. It is a federal crime to attack a federal worker during or because of the job.
ABCNews describes this part of southeastern Kentucky as "known for its meth labs and hidden marijuana fields," and reports speculations of Mr. Sparkman "simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time."
Mr. Sparkman was 51-years-old. He was a substitute teacher and a part-time Census-taker. Sparkman's mother, Henrie Sparkman, said her son moved to the area "to take a leadership position with the Boy Scouts of America." He was reportedly a Eagle Scout, himself.
Mr. Sparkman is said to have been single and the father of Todd, who is about 19 years old now. He battled non-Hodgkin Lymphoma and gained his Bachelor's Degree from Western Governor's University. He planned to be a middle school mathematics teacher.
Friends and acquaintances speak lovingly of Bill Sparkman. Michael Stone, and his musings about Glenn Beck's culpability, add nothing helpful.
The video below is of Mr. Sparkman delivering the graduation speech for WGU in 2008 in Salt Lake City.

Update10-27-09:
The cornerer has released his report and says that Mr. Sparkman died at the the tree where he was found in the woods. The report confirms that Sparkman was in contact with the ground, when he was found with a rope around his neck, "gagged and hands and feet bound with duct tape."
The word "fed" was written across his chest with a felt-tip marker, according to the corner, Jim Trosper.
Mr. Sparkman's body will now be released to the family.
Update 11-24-09:
Authorities today said that Mr. Sparkman committed suicide, and he worked alone in the act of making his death appear to be murder. Read the story here.
