The Three Days to Resurrection Day - Christian Easter

Each year, I waste some time trying to understand...again...the three days to the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Every year, I come to a different understanding, and this year is no different. Understanding the days isn't what is important about the Resurrection, nevertheless I rework it every year. My method from the prior year made sense then. When I reread it in the current year, it doesn't seem quite right. This exercise for me brings me closer to these Holy days - by virtue of thinking about what Jesus was doing at almost each and every hour of his life as he traversed though the Passover, on to the Passion, the Resurrection and the Ascension. Calvary's Cross

Here is the story the way I have it figured out this year. I expect some will correct me, and that's okay, because I'm just surmising from what I read, and as I said, it is not essential that I get this right to know and believe that My Lord and Savior arose from the dead on the third day.

The date for Resurrection-Easter Sunday is connected to the historical Jewish Passover, which Jesus celebrated with his disciples on the Jewish day of Wednesday, beginning at 6 p.m. on what we think of as Tuesday.

The history of The Feast of Passover is well documented. The Israelites were delivered out of Egypt as well as from slavery, in about 1450 BC. As God dealt with Pharaoh in particularly harsh ways, the Israelites were “passed over.”

 At the commandment of God, the first Passover was celebrated at that specific time. It was the first Feast celebrated after the Tabernacle was completed, just prior to the first anniversary of the exodus out of Egypt.

 At the time of the events leading to Resurrection Sunday, the Jewish “day” began at sundown. The Message Bible explains creation and “days” in Genesis: “It was evening, it was morning -- Day 1.” So it was that the three days leading to The Resurrection began at sundown on Wednesday (6 p.m. on our Tuesday) and ended at 6 p.m. on Saturday, with Christ rising on Resurrection-Easter Sunday.

Before sundown, the end of the Jewish day Tuesday: In love and humility, Jesus washed the feet of His disciples, giving them the greatest commandment, to “love one another.”

The Jewish day Tuesday ended at about 5:59 p.m. Wednesday began at 6:00 p.m. Jesus celebrated the Jewish Passover known as The Last Supper and gave Christians the gift of the first communion - the sacred act of sharing his body and blood with us “in remembrance” of him.

Sometime after Passover, Christ was betrayed and arrested, still on Wednesday. By 6 a.m. on Wednesday, He was tried before Pontius Pilate and sentenced to death at 7 a.m. By 8 a.m. Jesus made His way to Calvary and is crucified on the cross at 9 a.m. on Wednesday - The Third Hour. At noon on Wednesday - the Sixth Hour - the darkness covered the land. At 2 p.m. on Wednesday, "it is finished." The darkness lifts at 3 p.m. - The Ninth Hour. Christ was buried at sundown on Wednesday, as the next day, Thursday, was 'a Sabbath high day," not the usual Saturday Sabbath.

 Then Christ rested in his tomb for three nights, as He said in scripture:

"For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

It was evening, it was morning Day 1: Wednesday 6 p.m. to Thursday 6 p.m. Christ rests in His tomb.

It was evening, it was morning Day 3: Friday 6 p.m. to Saturday 6 p.m. Christ rests in His tomb.

Three nights and three days - Christ was "in the heart of the earth." ~ Matthew 12:40)

Then began the Jewish day of Sunday, which was Resurrection Day. At 6 p.m. Saturday (Jewish Sunday morning), Christ rose from the dead. In the early morning hours of Resurrection Sunday, the Bible tells us "the women" arrived at the tomb and found it empty.

Over a period of forty days, the risen Christ appeared to believers, and then after "opening the minds of the Apostles, Christ "lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven" [Luke 24: 50-51] - leaving behind His assurance of His ultimate gift of grace. Happy Easter and Resurrection Blessings.

In Memory of Stephen Tyrone Johns

Stephen Tyrone Johns never held public office, never gave away a fortune to charity, and never won American Idol. He was just an average Joe, trying to earn a living. A family man with small children. Stewphen Johns has been described as one of the nicest men who worked there. He even held the door open for the killer when he saw the 88 year old man trying to enter and held the door open for him. That was the type of man Stephen Johns was. Caring more about others than himself. The Washington Branch of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) has set up a Memorial Fund for the Johns Family:

The American Jewish Committee's Washington, D.C. chapter has set up a memorial fund to benefit the family of Officer Stephen Tyrone Johns, who was killed Wednesday at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. The organization said it will soon have a place on its Web site where one can contribute, but those who want to donate immediately should send checks made out to the American Jewish Committee, with "Holocaust Museum Memorial Fund" in the memo line, to: American Jewish Committee, Washington Chapter C/O Melanie Maron 1156 15th Street, NW, Suite 1201 Washington DC 20005 One hundred percent of the contribution will go to the Johns family.

A Facebook page has also been set up. Flowers wilt and die, the Memorial Fund will last for years to help his family cope with his loss.

Stephen Tyrone Johns is Holocaust Museum Guard Murdered

Officer Stephen Tyrone Johns has been identified as the guard shot on duty at the National Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C. Updates are added to the bottom of this post as they become available.

Officer Johns is reported to have been inside the museum at the entry point when James Von Brunn walked in carrying a "long gun" and opened fire. Two other security guards returned fire and wounded the shooter. A spokesman for the U.S. Park Police gave this account:

He raised the rifle and started shooting," she said. "The second he stepped into the building, he began firing.

The following is a statement released about Officer Johns today:

Officer Stephen Tyrone Johns died heroically in the line of duty today. There are no words to express our grief and shock over these events. He served on the Museum's security staff for six years. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Officer Johns' family.

We have made the decision to close the Museum tomorrow in honor of Officer Johns, and our flags will be flown at half mast in his memory.

The man who shot Mr. Johns has been identified as James W. Von Brunn, 88 years old, a World War II veteran and known to be a white supremicist and anti-semite. Von Brunn spent 6-1/2 years in prison for entering the Federal Reserve building with a satchel and a sawed-off shotgun in 1981. A shooting has occurred at the National Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. See updates below with date and time.

This news is just breaking and all details are not yet completely confirmed. Current reports say that two people were wounded inside the National Holocaust Museum, located on Washington's National Mall near the Washington Monument. The wounded are reported to be a guard and the shooter, who it seems a second guard fired on and hit. There is no information on the condition of either the guard or the suspect. Eye witnesses interviewed by Fox News heard gunshots and saw a man wounded and on the ground outside the museum. The speculation is that the man on the ground was wounded inside the museum, ran outside and collapsed on the sidewalk. Just speculation. There is unconfirmed of a "suspicious package." The shooter is under arrest and has been taken to the hospital under police guard. "Police and other law enforcement, including the FBI's Terrorism Task Force" were on the scene. At this moment, Fox is reporting that some Museum employees are still locked into safe rooms on floors 5 and above. Another eye witness inside the Museum said she heard 5 shots. by Anav Silverman Today Israel marked Holocaust Remembrance Day. Standing on a street in Sderot, I listened quietly to the siren sound, remembering the tragedy of 6 million Jews killed in Nazi Europe, my great grandparents, uncles and aunts from Poland among them. I’ve become used to sirens sounding in Sderot during my past two years here-the click of the intercom, followed by a female voice that calmly repeats Tzeva Adom, Tzeva Adom, or Color Red. The scenes that unfold usually entail people dashing into shelters-racing for 15 seconds that may mean the difference between life and death. But now at this moment, the Holocaust siren gives me a moment to reflect. I watch passerby’s stop, Ethiopians, Russians, Uzbekistanis, Moroccans, Persians and the like; Israeli Jews from countries around the world who make up Sderot’s colorful cultural tapestry. We stand together to remember the tragedy of silence that cost the lives of so many innocent people in our nation. It is this tragedy of silence which probably strikes hardest here in Sderot. Eight years of Qassam attacks have wounded over 1,000 Israelis, destroyed hundreds of Jewish homes, and have left thousands of children psychologically traumatized. Today close to one million Israelis in southern Israel live under the threat of Palestinian rocket attack thanks to the financial aid and embedment from Iran. Who will speak up for these Israelis who continue to be the targets of radical Islam in the form of Hamas rocket terror? Sderot is targeted not because it is a city outside the 1967 green lines, nor because of an army base located in the city. Sderot is part of the UN Partition Plan of 1948 with a civilian population of 19,000, where over 5,000 residents have been forced to flee since Palestinian rocket fire began on the city in 2001. Sderot is targeted simply because it is a Jewish city on the frontlines of Israel-an easy target for Palestinian terrorists who seek Israel’s destruction. THE greatest testimony that the world is once again returning to its apathetic state of silence that defined the era of Nazi Germany was revealed no less ironically today at the Durban II conference when Iranian President Ahmadinejad was invited as a guest speaker. Moreover, Hans-Rudolf Merz, the president of Switzerland, a country that declared its “neutrality” during the Holocaust, agreed to meet with Ahmadinejad, who is a fervent Holocaust denier and has repeatedly called for the destruction of Israel. According to an Associated Press report, the Swiss president defended his meeting with Ahmadinejad and said that the criticism of the meeting was unjustified, stating that “Switzerland is neutral and not part of any alliance.” Ahmadinejad’s presence at Durban II is symbolic in that there has been no overwhelming international outcry against his views or the fact that he was invited to speak at the UN conference on racism. Iran is considered the greatest threat to Israel’s survival. Although Iran, an oil-rich country, continues to claim that its nuclear program is meant to produce electricity, it remains clear to Israel that Tehran is intent on building nuclear weapons that could potentially cause massive destruction to the state. SDEROT residents have been the silent targets of Islamic terror for too long. Last year on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day, 13 rockets fell upon Sderot. Although rocket fire has significantly decreased since Operation Cast Lead, close to 200 rockets have still been fired at the western Negev region. If Israel does not effectively stand up for her citizens at home, who will stand up for Israel in the world? As countries across the world show alarming acceptance of a blatantly anti-Semitic figure like Ahmadinejad, demonstrated in Durban II, the state of Israel and the Jewish people cannot allow silence to become a national policy in the face of anti-Semitic terror, be it rockets or rhetoric, at home or abroad.

In 1938 the world did nothing, said nothing while Hitler and his thugs accelerated Germany's slide into the madness that was the 'Final Solution'. We witnessed on Monday 100 nation rise and applaud Ahmadinejad in Geneva. There is only one nation that speaks for Israel and Jews around the world. It is Israel. It is a shame that the world has decided to turn its back and closed its ears to the cries of pain and anguish from Israelis. It is only Palestinian tears that matter to the world. Night of the Broken Glass

Cross posted from Monkey in the Middle Kristallnacht, the Night of Broken Glass, was a pogrom in Nazi Germany on November 9–10, 1938. On a single night, 92 Jews were murdered, and 25,000–30,000 were arrested and deported to concentration camps. This was the full start of what the world has come to know as The Holocaust and the horrors that ensued. Today is the 70th Anniversary of that pogrom and maybe it is fitting that on this anniversary the following was discovered.

Plans for Auschwitz found in Berlin apartment Original plans for the construction of the Nazi extermination camp of Auschwitz, including a gas chamber and crematorium, have been found in a Berlin apartment, a newspaper reported Saturday. The daily Bild published copies of some of the 28 plans, which the head of Germany's federal archives, Hans-Dieter Krekamp, called "authentic proof of the systematically planned genocide of the Jews of Europe." Bild gave no indication of where, when or by whom the plans were found. It said they were dated between 1941 and 1943 and stamped, "Waffen-SS and Police Construction Directorate." Some were signed by senior SS officials and one initialed by the head of the Nazi ideological corps, Heinrich Himmler. Kreikamp told the newspaper the documents were "extraordinarily important." One plan, drawn by a detainee as early as November 1941, when experiments in eliminating prisoners were already under way, had a gas chamber clearly labeled, Bild said. Another showed a crematorium with places for ovens marked, and storage space for bodies. Full Story

With this discovery there can be no denying the fact that the Holocaust happened and that millions of innocent men, women and children were murdered at Auschwitz as many of Holocaust deniers have claimed. The historical import of this discovery is tremendous and in the future scholars will be able to compare these documents to the actual site.

How Much Do You Know About the Holocaust?

Wake-up America posted this article in December 2006, a month before I began blogging. It is an article that our children and grandchildren should read, and then read again. It's an article that your Liberal but good-hearted neighbor should read, sometimes as a reminder...or it may be a revelation .

We have to face the fact that some humans have bestowed themselves with the right of picking and choosing who lives and who doesn't. In Hitler's day, there were plenty of warning signs but who could possibly believe that he planned to rid Europe of all whom he deemed impure? Once he began his exterminations, it was easier not to believe what you knew to be true.

I see many younger Americans who know little of the Holocaust; some think it's eccentric to even refer to it, many receive no formal education on it. To think that our siblings, our children, our grandchildren have not experienced "thinking of" and "feeling for" Holocaust victims and survivors is unthinkable.

It won't be many years before even the children who survived the Holocaust will be gone. No more eye witness accounts to be bothered with, to cringe at, to wish away from your memory bank...

unless, of course, Islam has its way.

Here's Wake-up America's "How Much Do You Know About the Holocaust"

There is no subject that makes my head want to explode as badly as those that deny the Holocaust happened. With over 50 Million documents just released from Hitlers secret archives, there can be no denying the events of the Holocaust. Even before this release of documents, there was plenty of documentation.

The storerooms are immense: 16 miles of shelves holding the stories of 17 million victims – not only Jews, but slave laborers, political prisoners and homosexuals. To open the files is to see the Holocaust staring back like it was yesterday: strange pink Gestapo arrest warrants as lethal as a death sentence, jewelry lost as freedom ended at the gates of an extermination camp. Time stopped here in 1945.

Pelley walked through the evidence with chief archivist Udo Jost. He showed 60 Minutes a list of 1,000 prisoners saved by a factory owner who told the Nazis he needed the prisoners labor. This was the list of Oskar Schindler, made famous by the Steven Spielberg movie.

"Here are the 700 men and the 300 women whose names were on Schindler’s list," Jost explains.

The 60 Minutes team also found the file of "Frank, Annaliese Marie," better known as Anne Frank. It’s her paper trail from Amsterdam to Bergen-Belsen, where she died at the age of 15.

But most of the names here are of unknown people. While the Nazis did not write down the names of those executed in the gas chambers at places like Auschwitz, they did keep detailed records of millions of others who died in the camps. Their names are listed in notebooks labeled “Totenbuch,” which means “death book.” The names are written here, single-spaced, in meticulous handwriting.

"Here we see the cause of death: executed. And you can see, every two minutes they shot one prisoner," Jost explains.

"So they shot a prisoner every two minutes for a little over an hour and a half?" Pelley asks.

"Yes. Now look at the date: it’s the 20th of April. That was Adolf Hitler’s birthday. And this was a birthday present, a gift for the Führer. That’s the bureaucracy of the devil," Jost says.

Today BBC has an article about the Holocaust denial conference held in Iran, where Holocaust deniers, white supremacists and anti-semites were all welcomed guests.
A few of the "guests" included, Australian Fredrick Toeben, jailed in Germany for incitement and insulting the memory of the dead, Frenchman Robert Faurisson, convicted in France under Holocaust denial laws, Frenchman Georges Thiel, convicted in France under Holocaust denial laws and American David Duke, a former KKK leader and white supremacist.

Let me give you a flavour of the so-called academic papers they delivered. One French speaker said: "The Holocaust is a gigantic lie and the gas chambers should be put in the rubbish bin of history."

He had already spent one year in prison because of what he called "one of his little books". Little books - but big lies - denying the Nazis had a deliberate policy to exterminate the Jewish people.

He summed up his argument succinctly. He claimed there were no gas chambers at all - millions of Jews did not die - therefore there was no holocaust.

And if there was no Holocaust then there was no justification for the creation of the state of Israel. Therefore Israel was an impostor.

It had all the simplicity of a mathematical proof - refuting the worst genocide in living memory and absolving one of the most evil and wicked regimes in history of its crimes against humanity.

Tell that to these people you sick sadistic son of a bitch. Tell THEM there was no holocaust.

In the Summer of 1939 Himmler summoned Auschwitz Kommandant Höss to Berlin and tells him, "The Führer (Adolph Hitler) has ordered the Final Solution of the Jewish question. We, the SS, have to carry out this order...I have therefore chosen Auschwitz for this purpose."

Then the claim that were no gas chambers.... if it wasn't so horrible these people would be a joke, but I can find nothing to laugh about in this whole conference, the guest list or the fact that these people either actually believe their own nonsense or they are simply trying to convince others of the lie in order to once again try to exterminate the Jewish people.

Let us start with the crudest of the gas chambers and work our way through.

Belzec extermination camp, at least 434,508 Jews were killed at Belzec and only TWO Jews are known to have survived.

Gassing operations at Belzec began in mid-March 1942. Trains of 40 to 60 freight cars, with 80 to 100 people crowded into each car, arrived at the Belzec railway station. Twenty freight cars at a time were detached and brought from the station into the camp. The arriving Jews were then ordered to disembark at the platform of the reception area. German SS and police personnel announced that the Jewish deportees had arrived at a transit camp and were to hand over all valuables in their possession. Initially, men were separated from women and children, though in later months, as transport arrivals became more chaotic due to increased awareness of the victims of what would happen, the Germans and the Trawniki-trained auxiliaries could not always implement this segregation. The Jews were forced to undress and run through the "tube," which led directly into gas chambers deceptively labeled as showers. Once the chamber doors were sealed, auxiliary police guards started an engine located outside the building housing the gas chambers. Carbon monoxide was funneled into the gas chambers, killing all those inside. The process was then repeated with deportees in the next 20 freight cars.

This of course was the alternate measure to using Zyklon B which had replaced carbon monoxide because it worked quicker on warm moist bodies.

In my piece Never Forget I showed the whole timeline from 1933-1945 of Hitler's rise and the Holocaust. There are millions of documents proving that the Holocaust DID happen and was worse than any of us can possibly imagine.

There are the testimonies of Auschwitz SS-men, one of which is from Hans Stark, registrar of new arrivals, Auschwitz:

At another, later gassing--also in autumn 1941--Grabner* ordered me to pour Zyklon B into the opening because only one medical orderly had shown up. During a gassing Zyklon B had to be poured through both openings of the gas-chamber room at the same time. This gassing was also a transport of 200-250 Jews, once again men, women and children. As the Zyklon B--as already mentioned--was in granular form, it trickled down over the people as it was being poured in. They then started to cry out terribly for they now knew what was happening to them. I did not look through the opening because it had to be closed as soon as the Zyklon B had been poured in. After a few minutes there was silence. After some time had passed, it may have been ten to fifteen minutes, the gas chamber was opened. The dead lay higgledy-piggedly all over the place. It was a dreadful sight.

After leaving the undressing barracks, I had to show the Jews the way to the gas chambers. I believe that when I showed the Jews the way they were convinced that they were really going to the baths. After the Jews entered the gas chambers, the doors were closed by Hackenholt himself or by the Ukrainians subordinated to him. Then Hackenholt switched on the engine which supplied the gas...

I could see that the lips and tips of the noses were a bluish color. Some of them had their closed, other's eyes rolled. The bodies were dragged out of the gas chambers and inspected by a dentist, who removed finger rings and gold teeth...

Michel [the sergeant-major of the camp] told me later that Wirth suddenly appeared, looked around on the gas chambers on which they were still working, and said: 'right, we'll try it out right now with those twenty-five working Jews. Get them up here'. They marched our twenty-five Jews up there and just pushed them in and gassed them. Michel said Wirth behaved like a lunatic, hitting at his own staff with his whip to drive them on...

The you have Nazi letters about "gassing vans" and testimonies of SS-men in regards to "gassing vans".

The list of documentation goes on and on and the photos... they are horrible. I have barely touched on what is out there as proof, undeniable, indisputable proof that the Holocaust not only happened, but was far worse than many people even know.

There are people that when speaking about the Holocaust, simply know the basics, that "alot" of Jewish people were killed by Hitler. That is the extent of what they have learned of the history...so it is no wonder that these people cannot see the comparison between Hitler and Ahmadinejad. Their ignorance is not really their fault, this should be taught to everyone, the only way that history will NOT repeat itself is if people are aware of what that actual history IS.

Many are not aware that there were concentration camps in addition to "death camps", were never taught that there were also horrible medical experiments conducted, including but not limited to: (Pictures)

Freezing/Hypothermia- Those experiments were conducted on men to simulate the conditions the armies suffered on the Eastern Front. The German forces were ill prepared for the bitter cold. Thousands of German soldiers died of freezing or were debilitated by cold injuries.

The resuscitation or warming experiments were just as cruel and painful as the freezing experiments.

Sun Lamps- The victims were placed under sun lamps which were so hot they would burn the skin. One young homosexual victim was repeatedly cooled to unconsciousness then revived with lamps until he was pouring sweat. He died one evening after several test sessions.

Internal Irrigation- The frozen victim would have water heated to a near blistering temperature forcefully irrigated into the stomach, bladder, and intestines. All victims appeared to have died from the treatment.

Warming by body heat- Heinrich Himmler sugested to Dr. Rascher that he try to use women to warm the frozen men. He suggested that the victim and a women copulate. This perverted experiment occured with some success. However it was not as successful as the Warm Bath.

The there were the genetic experiments:

The Nordic or Aryan Race was the most important goal of the Nazis. It was the largest part of the over all plan. The blonde hair, blue eye, super men were to be the only race. The Blacks, Hispanics, Jews, Gypsies, Homosexuals and anyone else that did not meet the race requirements were to by cleansed from society through genocide. Hitler and the German High command made a list rules for the fellow Nazis to follow. The new rules required all SS before marriage must submit to general testing to insure racial purity. The rules for marriage were unbelievably complex. Thousands of marriages were denied. If the laws for marriage were broken it could mean the death penalty.

Dr. Sigmund Rascher and his wife learned what not following the marriage laws would hold for their lives. Mrs. Rascher was sterile. They were not illegally married; they adopted two children. They were later investigated by the Gestapo and executed for the crime. In this case, after his medical experimentation, it seems fitting that this killer was caught up by his own party.

Early in power the National Science groups were pushed into research of the race and experiments commenced. First the party needed propaganda to prove all other races were inferior. Measurements of heads, eyes, nose, blood were required. The vast majority of the early experiments were a propaganda sham. It was determined Gypsies had different blood and were inclined to criminal behavior. The same type of findings were made of all races other than the Nazis.

After the camps were started, vast genetic experiments were undertaken. The range of the testing was broad and specialized. The two major groups of experiments were first to refine the master race and second to determine the cause of defects.

Dr. Josef Mengele research on twins and Gypsies exemplifies the quest for the genetic studies. Dr. Mengele was known as the "Angel of Death". He would be at every selection when the new trains would arrive at Auschwitz. After the victims were unloaded off the trains and stripped naked and divided into men, women, and children, he would sort through the thousands of people. Most went straight to the gas chambers and others to hard labor in the camps. The twins, dwarfs, and unique physical specimens were selected to be assigned to the experimental blocks. In many ways the majority who where killed in the gas chambers were much better off than the survivors that had no idea what horrors awaited them.

Then the experiments on Twins:

The twins were examined from head to toe. Measurements of every inch were taken. Dr. Mengele demanded specific and careful exams. If any detail was missed the staff, usually a prisoner doctor, would be punished. The twins were allowed to keep their hair for the first several days of the examination. After all the living data was taken the twins would be killed by a single injection of chloroform in the heart. Care was taken to insure the twins died at the same time. The twins were then dissected with the organs being sent to research centers.

Prisoner doctors tell of the fate of two Hungarian twins who arrived at Auschwitz late in 1943. Dr. Mengele was at the camp selection. The train arrived in the very early morning. Three sets of twins were found. They were taken to the experimental block. Dr. Mengele ordered the two Hungarian twins be placed in the examination room. The two Hungarian twins young men age 18 were described as "extremely athletic and handsome." They had much body hair and were allowed to keep it for the first few weeks. The twins were showered and returned nude to the examination room. The examination started at the head . All parts of their heads were examined. The head examination took almost days. They were then completely X-rayed . The next part of the examination consisted of tubes being forced through their noses and into their lungs. They were then ventilated with a gas which caused them to cough so severely they had to be restrained. The sputum from the lungs was collected for examination.

The twins were then photographed for several days . The purpose of the photographs were to show hair patterns. They were each forced to stand, bend, and kneel in many positions to accomplish the photographs. For example, they were required to stand with their arms lifted for many hours so the under arm hair could be photographed.

After the photographs were finished they were awoken very early in the morning. They were taken into a room with tables and a hot water vat. The water in the vat was very hot. They were made to sit in the water until they were ready to pass out from the heat. They were then strapped to a table where their hair was plucked out trying to save the hair root. They were put back into the hot vat several times. After enough hair was collected, they were totally shaven of every hair on their body. The twins were then again extensively photographed without hair.

The twins then received several two liter enemas which caused them much pain and discomfort. The boys on different days were strapped over a bench table and their rectums were hyper descended after which they received an extensive lower gastric intestinal examination. This extensive procedure was performed without any anesthesia. The young men were crying so loud that Doctor Mengele ordered they be gagged. The next day they received a painful and humiliating urological examination. In this examination tissue samples were taken from the kidneys, prostate, and testicles. Several semen samples were forcefully taken over two days.

After this three weeks of tortuous medical examinations they were taken two the dissection laboratory. Using two doctors, each twin was simultaneously given an injection in the heart, taking their lives. They were dissected and their organs were sent to the Institute of Biological Racial and Evolutionary Research Berlin.

The Holocaust was not about one sick man, Hitler... it was his dream, yes, but it took a large group of sick, sadistic people.

I see Ahmadinejad gather a group of people just as sick and twisted and I worry. REMEMBER these are people that believe the Jewish population needs to be wiped off the face of this earth... Ahmadinejad wishes to see the destruction of America also and has stated so.

Haven't we been here before?

The Left|Democrats are attempting to make money from Abu Ghraib, as our military protects their pathetic souls from an enemy that will gladly show them the difference between an incinerator and a leashed dog, and they will gladly do it in the heart of every town square in America. Democrat Barack Obama stood in front of this nation and publicly imaged evil as the 9/11 perpetrators, AND America's detainee prison at Guantanamo Bay AND Abu Ghraib, where a small handful of soldiers brashly humiliated, but did not kill, the enemy. Obama sees detention of the enemy as "equal evil" to bringing down the World Trade Towers. A bit of underwear on your head, a dog in your face, some nude photos and a soldier dragging a prisoner around on a leash. Yes, it is contemptible but it is not close to a comparative evil. While Obama had the camera, and while he wanted to speak of evil, why would he choose these particular American examples, among all the evils in the world? The answer, of course, is that he is appealing to those who hate America, and for the sake of gaining the office of President, he hits low. I can post photos of the real face of evil for the sake of controversy, there are thousands out there, and I can debate the merits of going into Iraq or not, cite or link to research, quote politicians, and we can disagree about American action in Iraq, BUT...how can we accept our leader's constant drumming about Guantanamo Bay and Abu Ghraib without acknowledging the deceit behind the words? It is the Democrat attempt to discredit America in the worst way, by shaming this country - and it is all for political gain. Guantanamo is legal, Abu Ghraib has been dealt with. Neither have been ignored. Fight it if you believe it should be fought, but take a hard look at real Evil, and it's deep desire to settle itself on your doorstep. The ACLU and the Nazi Stance

Nazism, the restraining, abolishment or defending of it, is a very current issue. Below are two differing views of an ACLU stance in the works right now. Filed under ACLU Shortly after I graduated High School in 1977, the ACLU defended the American Nazi Party here in Skokie when they wanted to march there. I felt that was an rude and audacious move, since so many holocaust survivors and their families live in Skokie; I've met some of them, and seen their tattoos from the concentration camps of Auschwitz, Bergen Belzen, and others. The Captain has a post referring to that old debacle, plus a more recent one here: The ACLU lost a number of members in 1977 when they defended the American Nazi Party when they wanted to stage a demonstration in the town of Skokie, Illinois — a city where a number of Holocaust victims and their families had settled. Over 30,000 ACLU members staged a demonstration of their own when they marched out of the organization, even after the ACLU won the case, and even though the Nazis never did march in Skokie. It was disgusting! I was watching the news coverage over that then. The idea of these people marching through the streets of holocaust victims and their families was infuriating. The fact that the ACLU propped their right to do it, completely ignorant of the shattered lives and feelings of these people went beyond bad taste and crossed the line. Thirty years later, the ACLU proves that they have not learned their lesson. The Ohio chapter has agreed to represent the American Nazi Party again in a conflict over a demonstration permit, this time in a predominantly black neighborhood in Cincinnati. Holly at The Moderate Voice shares the e-mail: On April 20, 2007, the American National Socialist Workers Party of Roanoke, VA—a neo-Nazi group—plans to march through the predominantly African-American neighborhood of Over-the-Rhine in Cincinnati. The city initially issued a permit to the group for its march, but the permit was soon revoked and prohibitions were added by city officials limiting the group's demonstration to a three-block area. Believing their constitutional rights to free speech and free assembly have been violated, the ACLU of Ohio will be defending the demonstrators. This looks to me like a call to Louis Farrakhan, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, and seems timely because of the Don Imus firing over racism. In their world, you're a racist if you're white! To me, you're a racist if you're a leftist. If these people are allowed to do this, Don Imus should be reinstated. The ACLU condemns violent action and supports its prevention. Yet we also believe that our government must allow citizens their unhindered right to free speech. The City of Cincinnati should stand behind this basic freedom while taking steps to ensure a peaceful demonstration. As in previous cases where the ACLU has come to the defense of people or groups with whom we disagree, our position is rooted in certain fundamental principles. While we in no way endorse the views of the American National Socialist Workers Party, we believe that the constitutional guarantees of freedom of speech and press would be meaningless if the government could pick and choose the persons to whom they apply. I think the American National Socialist Workers Party is seeking our destruction, and I'm not sure that 'allowing their freedom of speech' is something anyone should sanction or approve. I agree that the government should not be in the business of determining the acceptability of political speech. I would not want to have to get permission to hold a public assembly that hinges on the political content of the speech for myself, and I would want government have the same approach for others as well. However, that isn't what has happened in Over-The-Rhine, at least judging by the ACLU's description. The city did revoke their permit, but then apparently issued another that gives them three blocks in which to demonstrate. That does not sound like an overwhelming burden for the Nazis to meet, and it does not keep them from conducting their protest. They're not being stopped from demonstrating; they want to complain because of the boundaries placed on their protest, even though such permits routinely impose boundaries on demonstrations. That's interesting…during the DNC, there was a place for protesters to protest, but it was surrounded by a fence, outside of the view of media cameras. Although many people showed up to demonstrate, the media didn't cover it. It will be interesting to see how much coverage the Nazis get. The ACLU will put themselves in the position of arguing that the city of Cincinnati has no authority to determine the geographical boundaries for a protest — on behalf of a group that would, if given the chance, strip everyone of the right to demonstrate in any form at all. They do so even though they have no requirement to represent Nazis; the Nazis could hire their own lawyers to handle this case, and unfortunately they can probably afford it, too. The ACLU has determined that they can get a lot of publicity for their flacking on behalf of Nazis, and have climbed into bed with racists as a result. They're doing nothing more than unnecessarily enabling the Nazis. Indiana Jones once said, "I hate these guys." In this context, it would be difficult to determine which group he would have meant. The ACLU's support of Islamic terrorists has become quite apparent over the past few years, why should this reminder come as a surprise to anyone? The ACLU is about destroying the spirit of the laws we have in place to convict and put away criminals to make America safe; and to prop the rights of NAMBLA, felons, drug dealers and murderers - not to mention the fascists that want to attack us of the Islamic variety. 2) ACLU To Defend Nazis Again by JonJayRay @ 2:26 am. Kalisto89's Never Again: A Message to the Iranian Enemy

I always find razor sharp content, biting and hilarious humor, and intriguing videos at Bullwinkleblog. At Bullwinkle, I found a video from a young (17 years old) Israeli director, Kalisto89. The whole world is probably familiar with this young man's work, but I was not. I am now a YouTube enthusiast. In viewing Kalisto89's catalog of videos, this one is especially meaningful to me. Here is a young Israeli who DOES know about the holocaust and is smart enough to equate it today's terrorists. I'm confident that there are many, many Israeli youth who are very aware; Kalisto89 has the talent to tell the story. Who and What are Palestinians? - Post 1

My reference is the book From Time Immemorial: The Origins of the Arab-Jewish Conflict over Palestine by Joan Peters (published 1984). Before I begin, a big “thank you” to Dave Bender at Israel at Level Ground, who referred me to a specific book review by Daniel Pipes.

For some reason, after years of reading reviews on this book, I had not run across the Daniel Pipes review and commentary. I discovered this book about seven years ago. It is long, sometimes ponderous and it is heavily footnoted. My trade paperback copy is 601 pages, which includes 188 pages of Appendixes, Bibliographies, Indexes and extensive Notes, carefully cross-referencing page numbers with data.

Ms. Peters says: “The book was originally meant to be solely an investigation of the current plight of the “Arab refugees,”....” The book eventually questions whether Palestine has ever been a homeland for Arabs, and I believe reaches a conclusion. The book created controversy when it was published, and I suspect it is still a lightening rod today. It has been highly praised and it has been rejected as lies and distortions. At the end of this article, I link to the Pipes review as well as his “Letter to the, New York Review of Books, March 27, 1986. Two years after his review, he sums up the criticisms of Ms. Peters’ work with these words:

“...the fact remains that the book presents a thesis that neither Professor Porath nor any other reviewer has so far succeeded in refuting. Miss Peters' central thesis is that a substantial immigration of Arabs to Palestine took place during the first half of the twentieth century. She supports this argument with an array of demographic statistics and contemporary accounts, the bulk of which have not been questioned by any reviewer, including Professor Porath.

I find this book fascinating. I’m not a scholar. I’m just an interested person living in a noisy world that shouts “death to Israel, every single day. As Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, calls for “wiping Israel off the map” – as we allow the Islamic movement to proudly and defiantly commit indecencies upon us, I wonder what those who want to push Israel into the sea, would do after that is accomplished?

Below, I am referencing page numbers from my trade paperback. Within the range of pages, I have bulleted the points that are pertinent to me, as I think of “Palestinian refugees” or “the Palestinian problem”. Ms. Peters’ book cites, I think, hundreds of sources. If the information from this book intrigues you, as it has me, then buying a copy, or borrowing a copy, may be useful. The book in your hand, and viewing her list of notes, by page numbers, is quite an experience.

That’s the end of my summary of this portion of the book.

The point of Ms. Peters’ book has more to do with the creation of the State of Israel and “refugee” status in the 1940’s. The above is the history laid out by Joan Peters, before looking at current day status. I am putting up my perception of Ms. Peters’ early history as background. It is only my perception of her work. I plan to post on what I consider the core of Ms. Peters’ book (my words, not hers) – Arabs moved to Jewish lands in the early 20th century to follow the development of commerce and agriculture. Daniel Pipes’ characterizes her central thesis, as: “a substantial immigration of Arabs to Palestine took place during the first half of the twentieth century.” I see the whole as, there is no support for the historic Arab claim to ownership of Jewish holy lands. Whatever brought about Jewish refugees and Arab refugees – and whatever Palestine was, was not, is and is not, deserves more than casual thought.

Take a moment to read Daniel Pipes’ review, his criticisms and his praise of the book From Time Immemorial: The Origins of the Arab-Jewish Conflict Over Palestine. There are many other reviews out there as well. What I particularly noted in Mr. Pipes’ words, however, was that no one has been able to dispute the “bulk of her work.”
