Socialism - Liberalism Quotation
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened." – Norman Thomas
Rep. Mike Pence, in an interview with MSNBC's Dr. Nancy, said Speaker Pelosi released PelosiCare today - a plan that has now grown from 1,000 pages to 1,900 pages and contains the word "shall" 3,425 times. Dr. Nancy Snyderman asked Pence why Americans cannot have the same "federal plan" that
members of Congress enjoys, and "why is there a firewall around your plan?" Pence
corrected her, gently, saying there is no government option in the health care Congress receives, and it is not a government plan. See video below.

That's the thing. Liberal commentators don't have a clue how the world works.
About that the word "shall," it's a mandate - someone "shall" do something. There is nothing optional about "shall."
Mike Pence said this bill is a "freight train of higher taxes, mandates and bureaucracy." Several times, Pence said Americans should have health care they can purchase across state lines, which would, like the plans covering Congress, bring down the cost of health care. We all know that our health care costs would be dramatically reduced once competition is a part of the process.
Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) on FOX News this morning makes some important points. He talked about Congress being in their home districts over holidays and said Congressional recesses are a great "antidote to Potomac fever." The people were speaking out over the July 4th holiday and they do not want a government takeover of health care. They want health care reform but they do not want to be taxed on benefits, they do not want mandates, they do want government options. See video below.

Bill Hemmer asked about the coming announcement from Vice President Joe Biden that we have have railroaded [Maggie's view] hospitals into making some huge sacrifice on behalf of you and me. In the video below, Pence says, "at the end of the day 90% of the cost will be born by the American people."
The hospitals, according to the administration, have promised $150 billion in savings through Obama's health care reform plan. If you believe past years' rhetoric, you might believe that hospitals have been in the red for years, so how will they now give up $150 billion? We know that medical care for illegals have driven hospitals and urgent care facilities out of business. With immigration reform looming, even if the now-present illegals are covered under the administration's current proposal, we will be inundated with one-way border-over-flow into this country. While Pence does not talk about illegals or immigration in the video below, he does talk about the fact that the administration has a history of strong-arming industry into accepting whatever concessions he wants. It's likely that the hospitals have done just that.
If you remember when Obama nominated former Senator Tom Daschle for Secretary of Health and Human Services, much about Obama's health care plan saw some very bright light that revealed some very ugly blemishes. Daschle was sent packing because he was just one more Democrat who had not lawfully paid his income taxes. Nevertheless, his health care views are still hanging around Washington, D.C. in the guise of President Obama's health care plan. Obama plans to adopt Daschle's views on health care. It's that simple. If you want to know some of the gritty details, read the comments of Betsy McCaughey, Bloomberg News.
