Fox News Saudi Prince Alwaleed and Murdoch's Leftist Son

Diana West, a columnist for The Examiner has written about the disturbing news in the last couple of weeks of Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal's buy-in of Fox News' parent company, News Corp. You'll remember after September 11, 2001, then-New-York-mayor Rudy Giuliani  refused to accept a check from Alwaleed in the amount of $10 million, as Alwaleed's position was that American policy caused the jihadists to act.  The Prince has now upped his holding in News Corp from 5% to 7%. Alwaleed's long march through U.S. institutions is a mainly post-9/11 progression greased by his purchase of a 5.6 percent stake in News Corp. in 2005, and his purchases, I mean, gifts, of $20 million apiece to Georgetown and Harvard universities, also in 2005.

There have been other eye-catching displays of Alwaleed's largesse -- $500,000 in 2002 to the Council on American Islamic Relations, a Hamas- and Muslim-Brotherhood-linked entity, and a whopping $27 million, also in 2002, to the families of Palestinian "martyrs," aka suicide bombers.

These, along with Alwaleed's self-described "very close relationship" with Murdoch son and apparent heir apparent James, a left-wing global warmist with virulently anti-Israel views, should only deepen Americans' concerns about Fox's ties to "the prince." Recently, Murdoch and Alwaleed have discussed expanding their business relationship through the Murdoch purchase of a substantial stake in Rotana, Alwaleed's huge Arab media company....

How does this influence Fox News coverage? It's impossible to say. Alwaleed has bragged that it only took a phone call to ensure that Fox coverage of Muslim rioting in France not be described as "Muslim" rioting in France, a boast News Corp. has never denied.

HuffPo Rupert Murdoch Petition: Rupert Murdoch Barack Obama Liberal Smoke Screen

A HuffPo contributor is launching a petition to make Rupert Murdoch decide whether Glenn Beck is racist or not. The petition, according to the Huffington Post will "demand" that Murdoch "put an end to Fox's race-baiting, or admit he agrees with it." But I don't think that's what the Left is so upset about. Really, this is just a Liberal smoke screen to block out what Murdoch really said about Barack Obama. See videos below.

A short background to this story is that Glenn Beck made a statement that he thought Obama was racist. Rupert Murdoch's FOX News Channel hosts Beck's show. In an interview with an Assie, Murdoch said Obama "did make a very racist comment." And he said, "when you assess what he [Beck] was talking about, he was "right."

Murdoch said something else in the interview though, that the Left must really, really hate.  Just after the Beck conversation, Murdoch is asked how he thinks Obama is doing and  Murdoch said he is doing " badly," and then he cites a few polls. The Huffington Post deleted this conversation from their video and doesn't mention it in their article. They link to Politico who mentions nothing about Obama doing "badly."

So now a petition is launched to put Murdoch on the hot seat. Does Murdoch think Obama is a racist or not? That's the question.

Now you've been caught defending the words and behavior of Glenn Beck, the worst of the worst when it comes to race-baiting, whom more than 80 advertisers have abandoned--because of the very comments you endorsed.

Murdoch issued a statement after the interview that is giving Liberals some hope that Murdoch didn't mean what he said at all. This from a Beck spokesman:

“He does not at all, for a minute, think the president is a racist,” Ginsberg said.

I have no doubt that Murdoch will retreat from his support of Beck. There's very little spine left in anyone rich and famous these days. So abandon Beck. Abandon your conscience. Go ahead. We don't care anymore.

Most of us out here are fed-up with the weenie politically correct conversation going on. If anyone thinks Murdoch did not mean what he said - Obama "did make a very racist comment" - then you are indulging in fantasy. After all, that is a very clear statement. Does Murdoch think that Obama, every minute of every day, is racist? Probably not. So we will just bite our nails while we wait to see what this powerful petition brings about. LOL!

Rupert Murdock Supports Glenn Beck: Murdoch says Beck is right

Glenn Beck struck a nerve in August when he said President Obama was "racist" on Fox and Friends in the morning. Now, Rupert Murdock the owner of NewsCorp's FOXNews and hosts Beck's immensely popular Glenn Beck show, has told Australian political editor for Sky News, David Speers, that he believes Beck was right. See video below.

In the first video below, you will hear Murdoch say Obama "did make a very racist comment." He said Beck was right. He also says he thinks Obama is doing "badly." In 2008, Murdoch shocked much of the conservative world by calling Barack Obama a "rock star."

The second video is Beck on Fox and Friends. This conversation originated from a Cambridge, Massachusetts policeman arresting Obama's friend, Professor Henry Louis Gates. Shortly after, Obama on television, in front of a national audience, said the policeman had acted "stupidly." The gauntlet was thrown. Beck hurled it back.

Rupert Murdock: U.S., European Survival Without Israel

Rupert Murdoch, the CEO of News Corporation, addressed the American Jewish Committee on March 4th. He posed the question: can we in Europe and the United States survive if we allow the terrorists to succeed in Israel?

Rupert Murdoch, the owner of New Corp, which includes the Fox News Network, The New York Post and the Wall Street Journal, received the National Human Relations Award from the American Jewish Committee on March 4th. The World asks if Israel can survive without the West, but Murdoch turns the question around:

Tonight I say to you: Maybe we should start wondering whether we in Europe and the United States can survive if we allow the terrorist to succeed in Israel.

In this new century, the "West" is no longer a matter of geography. The West is defined by societies committed to freedom and democracy. That at least is how the terrorists see it. And if we are serious about meeting this challenge, we would expand the only military alliance committed to the defense of the West to include those on the front lines of this war. That means bringing countries such as Israel into NATO.
My friends, I do not pretend to have all the answers to Gaza this evening. But I do know this: The free world makes a terrible mistake if we deceive ourselves into thinking this is not our fight.
In the end, the Israeli people are fighting the same enemy we are: cold-blooded killers who reject peace, who reject freedom and who rule by the suicide vest, the car bomb and the human shield.
