Bay of Rigs Scandal Leaking: Dispersants are Where the Money Is

Bay of Rigs didn't begin leaking at the time of the oil spill. It goes all the way back to releasing the Lockerbie terrorist who was said to be dying. Could the oil perpetually abiding in our beautiful Gulf of Mexico be lingering because dispersants are where the money is, even though they seem not to be working? Wait till you hear who owns the company making the chemicals being dumped into our waters.

Oil in Plaquemines, LA Marshlands

Here's the story on a fast  track. Pan Am 103 exploded over Lockerbie Scotland on December 21, 1988. Everyone aboard died - all 270, 180 Americans. Libyan Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi was convicted of planting the bomb and sentenced to life in prison.

BP and its employees donate $77,051.00 to the Obama campaign, and a couple of million to Democrats.

The bomber spent about 20 years of a life sentence in a Scottish prison.  After a controversial terminal prostate cancer diagnosis, he was sent back to Libya. Physicians said he had only three months to live.

That was August 20th 2009. He's still alive today. Many rumors about the real story, including the part the U.S. played.

August 15, 2009:
The release of the Lockerbie bomber from prison would liberate Britain’s largest industrial company from a string of problems hampering its $900 million (£546 million) Libyan gas projects, industry sources claimed last night.
BP, the oil giant, signed a deal with Libya in 2007 to explore for gas in the west of the country and offshore. But since then it has faced a string of bureaucratic obstacles, including delays securing official permits and approvals to import equipment through Libyan customs, the sources said.
Obama didn't make much noise about Scotland releasing the bomber. He asked Libya not to have a big celebration on camera. They did it anyway.

September 2009:
The State Department notified lawmakers earlier this month of its intent to disburse $2.5 million in economic aid to Libya, including $400,000 for Qaddafi’s foundations. Of the $400,000  half will go to a foundation run by the leader’s son, Saif, and the other half to one run by his daughter, Aisha.
Republicans shut-down the $2.5 million Obama-Hillary Libyan scam.

In September 2009 the economic crisis still rages, "while government deficits are artificially showing quarterly GDP growth or stability after the free fall in Q1 of 2009, consumer spending is contracting due to massive unemployment and stagnation or reduction in real wages." The economic crisis still rages. And Hillary and Obama want to give Libya millions.

March 2010: BP CEO Tony Hayward sold 223,288 shares of his BP stock - approximately one-third of his holding. That timely sale saved him about $619,000 when BP stock plunged after the spill. Lucky guy. Reportedly he paid off the mortgage on his "mansion."

Fast forward to the BP Gulf oil spill, April 2010.

The Post and Mail Rig-Gate - Bay of Rigs - Industry giants own the dispersants, including Al Gore, George Soros, Goldman Sachs and Warren Buffet - and is connected to the University of Chicago:
The real money is in the use of dispersements. There is a company called purchased NALCO.
NALCO is based in Chicago with subsidiaries in Brazil, Russia, India, China and Indonesia.
NALCO is associated with the University of Chicago Argonne program. The Obamas both worked for the University of Chicago.  UChicago Argonne received $164,000,000 in stimulus funds this past year and just added two new executives to its roster: one from NALCO, the other from the Department of Education.
If you dig a little deeper you will find NALCO is also associated with Warren Buffett, Maurice Strong, Al Gore, Soros, Appollo, Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, Hathaway Berkshire.
Warren Buffet/Hathaway Berkshire increased their holding in NALCO just last November. (Timing is everything). The dispersant chemical is known as Corexit. What it does is hold the oil below the water's surface. It is supposed to break up the spill into smaller pools.
It is toxic and banned in Europe. NALCO says they are using older and newer versions of Corexit in the Gulf. (Why would you need a newer version, if the old one was fine?)
There are big money and even bigger players in this scam. While they are letting the oil blow wide open into the Gulf, the stakes and profit rise.
The dolphins, whales, manatees, sea turtles and fish suffocate and die. The coastal regions, salt marshes, tourist attractions and the shore front properties are being destroyed, possibly permanently. The air quality is diminished. The Gulf of Mexico fishing industry is decimated.
The stock of Corexit 9500 took an 18 percent jump after its use became public. Rodney F. Chase, former Deputy Group Chief Executive of BP is on the NALCO board of directors.

The moratorium on drilling was put in place. Our deep water rigs will move out of the Gulf. We can't stop it. We might not have the rigs back for years according to Obama's own panel of experts, who recommended we do not stop drilling.

Earlier this month, PowerLine talked about Obama's visit to Grand Isle, Louisiana:

The AP story...includes this vignette:
On Obama's trip to the Grand Isle on the Louisiana coast, his motorcade passed a building adorned with his portrait reminiscent of posters of him during his presidential campaign. Instead of "hope" or "change," the words "what now?" were on his forehead.
...the AP didn't mention the Jindal for President sign
This administration makes Watergate look like your kids birthday party. Follow the money to Obama's Bay of Rigs. (Sojourner, a reader at Maggie's Notebook left a tip in comments about this story - as I've said before, I love my readers.) Check out this blog talking about the fines BP will be hit with through the Clean Water Act, and why dispersants have been so handy for them. If the oil is "dispersed" it can't be counted.

Goldman Sachs Donates $995,000 to Obama: Obama Keeps Million from Goldman Sachs: SEC

I'm trying to understand the almost $1 million dollars donated by Goldman Sachs employees, partners and executives. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said the Obama campaign took no PAC monies from anyone, and accordingly they will not return anything. Was the money PAC money, or simply a donation from a employee?

Obama's Money Tree

Obama's latest charade is in full throttle. Make Republicans vote "for," "or" against Wall Street, when he presents his financial reform, and when they refuse to vote for his ever-tightening control over America's money, it will be clear Republicans side with the meanies on Wall Street, even though, from CNN, Barack Obama's second-highest PAC contributor, and company employees is Goldman Sachs. But White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs denied that Obama took PAC money from anyone or anything.

Did you read about the keywords the White House bought to drive campaign donors to Obama's website? If not, read this because it has to do with Goldman Sachs.

Can you guess the largest PAC donor? It was the University of California PAC and employees - which donated more than $1.5 million, topping Goldman Sachs. Who knew any university had that kind of money to elect Liberals? Take your college age student and run as fast as you can to a conservative college. Oh my gosh! $1.5 million!
Goldman Sachs contributions to the Obama campaign were more than four times larger than the $230,09t in donations to Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign....
According to figures dating to 1990, Goldman Sachs' PAC and employees have consistently contributed more money to Democratic rather than Republican candidates for federal office.
From Timothy P. Carney at The Washington Examiner:
...$995,000 -- that's the most any politician has raised from any one company in a single election since the age of "soft money" ended.
It is common knowledge that Wall Street is "conservative." Right? On the right side of the aisle? After all, Wall Street is "big business?" Well, it's not that simple. Wall Street often hedges their bets, and they do donate tokens to Republicans, but the big money goes to Liberals.
Obama is touting his proposed bank tax and fnancial regulations as a test of "whose side" politicians are on -- the bankers' or the people's. But check the numbers at OpenSecrets.org, and you get an interesting clue as to whose side Wall Street.
The Wall Street flood of cash to Democrats is not simply about buttering up those in power -- a close look at the cash looks like Wall Street wants Democrats to win. The top recipient of Wall Street PAC money is Rep. Paul Kanjorski (D-PA), distinguished mostly by his being a very vulnerable incumbent.
OpenSecrets.org says Goldman Sachs have increased their lobbying considerably this past quarter, a 70% increase from its spending during the first three months of 2009, apparently to try to waterdown the Obama financial regulations coming their.

Courtesy of Rush Limbaugh, this quote from Gibbs today:
The president doesn't take -- and didn't in the campaign take -- PAC money. Doesn't take money from registered federal lobbyists. Uhhhh, and I think anybody that contributed to the campaign at any point knew where the president sttod on regulating Wall Street and regulaing the financial industry. From, agains: That first speech on Wall Street in 2007, the second speech in March of 2008 -- the same venue we're going to go to -- and then anybody that watched the campaign from sot of mid-September on, obviously, uh, the focus was on, uh, what to do on Wall Street. See the Gibbs video here.
That is total and complete "Gibberish."

Rush unwinds the garble:
Well, wait, wait, wait, wait a minute. What about Jack Abramoff? Where's the outrage here? Isn't Goldman's money as dirty as Abramoff's is? So Gibbs' point is, "hell, no we're not giving the money back! They knew what they were in for. They knew what we were going to do. They had every idea what we were going to do to them. We make it clear we were out to destroy 'em, even from our speech in 2007 from Wall Street on. No, we're not giving the money back."
For background on what Goldman Sachs did or perhaps did not do, you'll find this interesting.

Issa Want Sec Records on Goldman: White House SEC Partnerup - Goldman in on it too?

If you haven't heard the speculations that the White House has paid Google for certain keywords (Goldman Sachs SEC) to direct googlers to Obama's campaign website "Help Change Wall Street," where Obama sucklings can donate to The One, then you've missed all the news today. But that's not nearly all: the White House denies knowing that the SEC was filing a civil securities fraud suit against Goldman Sachs...when they bought the keywords: Goldman Sachs SEC.

White House and Sec Partnership?

What a coincidence that...oh let's buy some keywords...what would be good key words? How about "Goldman Sachs SEC?" And the first hit on the page is Help Change Wall Street (www.BarackObama.com). Yes, that's some coincidence.

Issa says:
"The American people have a right to know whether the commission, or any of its officers or employees, may have violated federal law by using the resources of an independent regulatory agency to promote a partisan political agenda.
Then we find that perhaps The New York Times knew about the SEC complaint before Goldman Sachs knew. It begs the question: did the White House know before Goldman? It's all just a bit too tidy. Issa says it raises "serious questions aout the commission's independence and impartiality."
Before the commission had released its announcement, the New York Times published on its website a story describing the suit.
Less than half an hour after the Times story's publication, Organizing for America, the successor organization to Obama for America and now a project of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), sent millions of supporters an e-mail message from President Obama urging support for "Wall Street Reform."
You can read Rep. Issa's Committee questions of the SEC here.

Obama introduces his latest regime regulation...Goldman, who everyone hates, is fingered - and will be called to the chopping block and get chopped just a little bit, pay a very small fine, with no admission of guilt, which seems to be the norm for SEC civil suits. They'll pay it out of their blockbuster first quarter net profits of $11 billion, or the record year 2009, and Obama's regulations save the day for America...again, after all the riff-raff in the country call their Democrat legislators and demand Obama get his way. Okay, maybe the riff-raff won't get all pumped about it, it's boring, but the riff-raff's legislators will claim everyone wants it, in fact the White House has already said it, and they will try to serve it up to The One.

From Rush:
...they had no advance knowledge this was happening, but they happened to get hold of Google and they said, "Look, we want to buy the search terms 'Goldman Sachs SEC,' we want you to direct the first hit to our website where we are going to raise campaign funds and awareness of the effort to demonize Wall Street."  Meanwhile, the White House continues to deny that there's any link between the timing of the SEC suit and its push for regulatory reform.
Robert Gibbs, the White House Press Secretary: [paraphrased] We didn't know. The SEC doesn't notify us. [Direct Gibbs quote: "The American people want us not to play politics."

The Politico quotes White House Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel:
Everybody at the White House found out like everybody else, when it hit the news....Nobody at the White House knew anything ahead of anybody else....I think what's more important is not this particular case or what SEC did. The need for this reform has existed for over a year."
Issa:
The events of the past five days have fueled legitimate suspicion on the part of the American people tha tthe commission has attempted to assist the White House, the Democratic Party, and Congressional Democrats by timing the suit to coincide with the Senate's consideration of financial regulatory legislation, or by providing Democrats with advance notice."
I wish the fine Rep. Issa a world of luck in getting the information he needs. I doubt he'll get it. Justice and the White House disdain Congress. In turn Congress grovels. The SEC has the corrupt Mary Shaprio at the head of the snake, who turned a blind eye, even as a whistleblower told all, as chair of FINRA, and allowed Bernie Madoff to rape and pillage his investors.
