DOJ Spends $5.6 BILLION Community Organizing: DOJ's Facist Santa

The Department of Justice (DOJ) spent $5.6 BILLION in grants for community organizing in 2009 to reduce crime and violence. According to the Government Office of Accounting (GAO), hundreds of millions were spent on children for dances, skateboarding, golfing, pool parties, rollercoaster rides and a flat screen TV - all in an effort to keep kids off the streets and away from crime. Then there's the film: Santa the Fascists Years.

As expected, there is no documentation of the effectiveness of this Many-Billioned-Dollar program. The DOJ keeps lousy records and the GOA says they cannot verify what was spent for what.

At least $200,000 was spent for officials to attend conferences at golf resorts in Florida and Palm Springs, or a film festival featuring "Santa, The Fascist Years." 

The organization paid $30,000 for the development of the Santa the Fascist Years film, which "uncovers and explores Santa's flirtation with politics and greed." I have a short clip of the film below.

In the video, the kids don't like Santa's presents, in fact "Christmas Sucks." Santa has a new idea, making war toys, and since the clip is short, I can only guess where it goes from there, but I have an imagination, and I see Santa probably portrayed as an evil and greedy capitalist before the video ends.

Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) issued a report on the program, titling it Party at the DOJ. He estimates over $100 million tax dollars have been spent on the party over the last 5 years. Coburn says someone is having way too much fun on the taxpayers dime [paraphrased].

Many of the grants are earmarked by Congress without the normal public review. Justice Department officials told the GAO that it makes them harder to scrutinize. So they rely on recipients to follow the rules: not all of them do. 

Former Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens earmarked $1.7 million to a group run by a couple who were his friends. They were convicted of stealing $450,000 and spent some of it on a wedding reception for their son - who happened to work for Senator Stevens. 

Just last month, an Oklahoma City program was found to have misspent hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal crime prevention funds on things like a giant flat screen TV, 40 pairs of binoculars and $200 Japanese-style swords. Police said most of the binoculars were never used and there was "no legitimate purpose" for the swords.

“Americans woke up to news of a car bomb in New York‘s Times Square and a national debt surpassing $13 trillion in May,” begins the report from Sen. Tom Coburn’s office. “At the same time, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) was preparing for a ―Fun Day celebration in Texas, a luau in Tennessee, and other parties and fun activities across the country.

"Twelve other federal agencies and 99 programs fund similar community programs to keep kids out of trouble."

How do we expect these kids to grow up? We have a Marxist DOJ working with these children - teaching them what?  Organize your community, open an ACORN office, protect your friends from the law when they commit atrocities,  lie and cheat because you deserve better? Get out the vote and sign-up Hanna Montana. Grow up to intimidate at the polls - we'll protect you. You deserve to rule. Whiskey is Christmas Gratuity at State Department: Hillary Clinton Enjoys a Christmas Gratuity

We already know how wildly and recklessly Congress and the State Department spends our money. To learn of thousands spent to buy liquor and wine is not news, but claiming that whiskey is a "Christmas gratuity" is appalling news. "Christmas" is not a proper word out of this White House and certainly not at the State Department, yet $9,501 was expensed for whiskey and wine for "Christmas gratuities" at our embassy in South Korea. How shameless can we be, and what happened to 'Winter Holiday?' We do not use "Christmas" in the sacred context, but use it for whiskey, and probably spell it with a small 'c.'

Cash for Clunkers Cost Taxpayers $24000: Taxpayers Paid $24,000 Per Clunker

The "wildly popular" government program called Cash for Clunkers rev'ed up auto sales until the program ended. In the end, Cash for Clunkers cost taxpayers $24,000 for each car sold.

According to a CNN report, 690,000 cars were sold using the "get free government money" program. The article says 125,000 of those sold were autos that would have sold anyway:

...the overwhelming majority of sales would have taken place anyway at some time in the last half of 2009 [Edmunds.com] That means the government ended up spending about $24,000 each for those 125,000 additional vehicle sales.

The Department of Transportation (DOT) is not happy with the way Edmunds.com analyzes the Cash for Clunkers program.

A spokesman for Ford Motor Company attributes the program with kick-starting the economy. Edmunds.com says without Cash for Clunkers, October sales would be even higher.

I read the following on a new friend's Facebook page. It's all too familiar. While Conservatives gritch about Bobby Jindal's performance after Obama's major, nationwide rehash, we are ignoring the gate closing on all that we know to be American.

America Acting Like Pigs

A chemistry professor in a large college had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab, the professor noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt. The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist government. In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked, 'Do you know how to catch wild pigs?'

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said this was no joke. 'You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side.

The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America. The government keeps pushing us toward socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc.. While we continually lose our freedoms -- just a little at a time.

One should always remember: There is no such thing as a free lunch! Also, a politician will never provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself. Also, if you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to send this on to your friends. If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life, then you will probably delete this email, but God help you when the gate slams shut! Keep your eyes on the newly elected politicians who are about to slam the gate on America. Obama's Earmarks: Valerie Jarrett - The "Other Connection"

Senator Barack Obama's congressional "earmarks" are getting little press notice, but Faultline USA has the important details. Read them at The Release of Barack Obama's 2005-06 Earmark Requests Brings up Questions. There are two issues in question: (1) $1 Million to the University of Chicago Hospitals, where Michelle Obama is employed as Vice President for Community and External Affairs. Mrs. Obama's employment is not the only connection to this earmark. This from Maggie [not FaultlineUSA]: Valerie Jarrett, a top Obama campaign advisor is the Chair of the University of Chicago Medical Center Board, as well as Chair of the Executive Committee of that Board, and Vice-Chair of the University's Board of Trustees. Valerie Jarrett Steps Up Role in Obama Campaign: "She's Always Been the Other Side of Barack's Brain." Jarrett has a close, long relationship with both Barack and Michelle Obama. Like the Obamas, Jarrett is a South Sider with deep ties to the University of Chicago. Though she will be part-time, Jarrett will be one of the most visible and powerful African-Americans in the top rungs of the Obama operation. The very top campaign jobs are filled by whites.

(2) $1.3 Million for military weaponry - this from the anti-war Senator who will pull our troops from Iraq and turn the people over to Jhadist Islam. Why would he support funding weapons? There's a connection between his campaign's Illinois finance chairman and "one of the nation's largest military contractors."
