Chris Matthews: Obama Guilty of Elitist Charge - Failed to Explain Economics
Chris Matthews takes a tough stance on Obama's failures, and it's a little jaw-dropping until he remembers how he earns his salary...oh yeah! I'm a Democrat shill...and remembers the current administration talking points that voter's are unhappy because the president has not explained the complexities of his economic policy, and oh yes, Obama is an elitist, yes he is. See the video below.
Matthews is confounded that Obama has not explained his progressive brand of economic, and says every Grad school student learns that a large deficit in a recession is necessary. Obama does not have a degree in economics, and perhaps he failed the undergraduate work. We wouldn't know. All his records are sealed. He has no life experience with economics. His economic policies, and the policies of his economic team, have flown in the face of sound fiscal policy. So what is there for Obama to "explain" without being laughed off the world stage.
Matthews is also disgruntled that Obama was so very patriotic during the 2008 elections, and he believed in America's exceptionalism...so very much, but then...there were the teleprompters, and Obama talked at us, not with us, and he didn't listen.
Precious few of the claims of Obama's campaign patriotism or the belief that America is exceptional were anywhere in the 2008 election. He was caught on camera not saluting the flag. Appalling. He wanted to redistribute our wealth. His father and his mentor were both communists. Showing just how out of touch with the framework of America, he thought America had 57 states, and he had visited them all. Oh, you say...he just misspoke? Surely he knew how many states in America? Apparently not. That's as absurd as saying he didn't know he should be saluting the flag.
In a speech at the home of Harry Truman in the summer of 2008, he gave a speech to prove his patriotism, because so many believed there was so little. In that speech, I was not comforted that he spoke of his "growing awareness of our nation's imperfections" as a younger adult. Those of us who were honest knew Obama's fondness for Islam would tip the scales to less protection for Israel. Why does that matter? It matters because Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East. If we cannot stand for true democracy around the world, how do we defend our own republic?
Maybe Matthews' is looking for a way to save his journalistic life as this train wreck descends from the heady heights Liberals think he ascended.
MATTHEWS: When he was a campaigner, he did nothing but talk about what a great country this is, what an exceptional country this is because a guy like me an make it here and only in a country like this could I have made it. He was very patriotic, very inclusive and he was very interactive in an interesting way. Ever since he has been president he has been elitist and he has come with his teleprompter, and he has given his speech. He hasn't listened, he has talked at us, rather than with us...
MITCHELL: At least that's what he has projected.
MATTHEWS: No, he actually does bring the teleprompter with him and he actually does know what he wants to say.
MITCHELL: No I don't mean that. I mean...you don't think that he's interactive even thought he's had these townhall meetings, you don't think he's given the sense...of...
MATTHEWS: No and I think he hasn't explained himself. Lincoln had to explain the Civil War, darn it. Roosevelt had to explain everything about the Great Depression. You have to take people along with you. I think he is guilty of that elitest charge. If you are going to spend a $1.6 Trillion deficit in one year you better explain to the American people why you did it. He never explained economics the way he was taught it. We were all taught in graduate school you had to run a big deficit during a grand recession. How about explaining that. Everybody didn't go to graduate school.

Dennis Prager with Sarah Palin and Hugh Hewitt Video
This video is a May 22, 2010 panel discussion at University of Denver, with Dennis Prager, Sarah Palin and Hugh Hewitt. Prager begins the discussion on "what is the greatest threat to America." His answer will surprise you. After Hugh Hewitt speaks with his adroit and short opinion, listen as Prager lays out the current "moment of darkness in American history." What a great panel of patriots. The short version of the video is second below. It mainly highlights Dennis Prager.
Pull Quote from Prager (at about 11 minutes in)
No one ever said Sweden, Norway or Denmark are the last best hope of mankind. At about 14 minutes in, listen as Prager speaks about the United Nations and woman's rights.

Palin: Murkowski Goes Low, Attacks Joe Miller's Military Record
Sarah Palin, "The" Mama Grizzly, said Senator Lisa Murkowski dishonored herself by attacking Republican candidate for Lisa's senate seat, Joe Miller's military record. Actually Palin said she had "never seen a candidate stoop so low," as Murkowski did in Monday night's debate. See the video below.
But perhaps the most shocking part of all in this debate was when the incumbent Senator used Joe Miller’s distinguished military service as a means to attack him. Joe Miller graduated from West Point, fought in Desert Storm, and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service to our country. I find it astonishing that a sitting U.S. Senator from Alaska would challenge the honor of a decorated combat veteran. Thanks to Murkowski, the incumbent who lost in the primaries, but nevertheless is running as a write-in candidate, Miller is facing a three-way race. Another Republican (Murkowski) setting a Constitutional-Congress up for failure. She is only barely Republican, as demonstrated by GovTrack:
Sarah makes a critical point out of Murkowski's Liberal-ways: Amnesty: yes! Border fence: no! Come on Alaska, why would you vote for that?
Palin:
I’ve seen some pretty ugly campaigning, and what they’re throwing at Joe right now is nasty. Joe’s opponents can’t run on the issues because they’re wrong on them – whether it’s repealing and de-funding Obamacare, fighting against cap-and-tax, protecting our borders, or pushing hard for responsible resource development. They can’t win in a fair fight on the issues, so they sling mud...
The sitting Senator also came out against Arizona’s right to protect its borders. She called for us to “enforce the laws that are currently on the books,” but didn’t seem to understand that that is precisely what Arizona is trying to do to protect itself because the federal government refuses to enforce our laws. Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised by her lackadaisical attitude to border security when we consider that she has repeatedly voted against funding a border fence and voted in favor of amnesty. Here's the attack on Joe Miller, and listen as Murkowski says Miller "is not fit to lead."

John Dennis Nancy Pelosi Video: A Few Good Debts starring House Witc
John Dennis is challenging Nancy Pelosi for her House seat. No one seems to think he has a chance, yet SF Weekly says "he'getting there." The video below is a FilmLadd production, and a take-off of A Few Good Men, which Pelosi has none of so, A Few Good Debts titled the video perfectly.
Before the video, look at this:
An internal poll conducted over the summertime revealed that roughly 35 percent of local Democrats and Independents were fed up with Pelosi's leadership. That led SF Weekly to do some math.
Pelsoi was re-elected last year with 220,000 votes, or 71 percent of the vote (next runner-up Cindy Sheehan received 46,000 votes, or 16 percent). If 35 percent of Democrats who supported Pelosi did abandon her and vote for Dennis, that'd be another 75,000 votes. So if they all voted for Dennis, that'd be 121,000 votes to Pelosi's 150,000.
Keep in mind that former Board of Supervisors president Matt Gonzalez endorsed John Dennis, as did Sheehan. That's getting there... but even all this is a stretch...Dennis is not the kind of candidate conservatives describe as "conservative," but he is a businessman, and an entrepreneur - hopefully favorable to business and 'real' jobs. We need as many jobs-maker as we can get in the House. We can worry about the rest later.
Rome wasn't built in a day. Perhaps this race is a precursor to November 2012. Dennis has done a great job and who knows? I expect that Pelosi owns the press, and if Dennis was hotter than a pistol, I doubt we'd know about it.

My First Rule 5 Saturday
Rule 5 posts have to do with pretty girls or beautiful women - whichever you prefer. RS McCain says I will undoubtedly get a million hits if I join Rule 5'ers, mix it up a little bit with Rules 1, 2, 3, and 4, because only a few can handle all politics, all the time. See a video below.
I've pestered my guy blogging friends who eagerly await the day for their Rule 5 posts. I've whined that they had an unfair advantage. The whining was not productive.
From The Other McCain, this is how Stacy McCain explains mixing "loveliness" with politics:
Everybody loves a pretty girl -- It's not just guys who enjoy staring at pictures of hotties. If you've ever picked up Cosmo or Glamour, you realize that chicks enjoy looking at pretty girls, too. Maybe it's the vicious catty she-thinks-she's-all-that factor, or theschadenfreude of watching a human trainwreck like Britney Spears, but no one can argue that celebrity babes generate traffic. Then I noticed that Opus_6 at American Perspective became a Rule 5'er on Saturdays. I've studied her posts to determine just how a I might move into the Rule 5 territory. You can see a few of hers here, here and here. The last one definitely has me thinking I can do this.
Then I compared her posts to the most energetic Rule 5 poster, outside of McCain, that I know, and that would be Bob Belvedere at The Camp of the Saints. See a few of his here, here and here. I recognized all of the women in Opie's posts. I haven't a clue who most are at Belvedere's place.
I've eliminated most of today's beautiful women because I can't stomach their politics. Maybe I'll get over it. Having said that, if you know Natalie Wood's political leanings, don't tell me.
So here's my first Rule 5 post. Let me know what you think.

David Zucker's "Call Me Senator - I'ts Just a Thing"
New video sent by email from someone "near and dear" to my heart. David Zucker is a conservative Hollywood producer and director, morphed from Liberal Democrat. His movies include Airplane, The Naked Gun, An American Carol and Scary Movie 3 and 4. Take a look at what he has done with Senator Barbara Boxer's infamous dress down of a Brigadier General. Zucker's video is first, and the real incident second.
Zucker "came out" about his move to conservatism in 2006 because he sees threats to both the U.S. and Israel "mounting.
"You have people like Michael Moore going into foreign countries saying Americans are the stupidest people in the world," Zucker said. "I want to tell the real America story, that America is a force for good."That was then. Note that for two years now, Barack Obama has done the same.
"I still can't believe I'm a Republican," Zucker said. "There are just certain things ingrained in our Jewish roots. Our fathers voted for Roosevelt, and we voted for JFK, [Hubert] Humphrey and Clinton. But the Democratic Party has changed."Viewed first at Proof Positive.

James Cameron Phelim McAleer: James Cameron Hypocrite Video
Phelim McAleer, a filmmaker and journalist has done a lot of heavy lifting to get the lies about global warning out to the world. Along with Ann McElhinney, McAleer exposes the hypocrisy of Avatar director, James Cameron. Cameron has told us we must "do with less," and donated $1 million to defeat California's Prop 23, which will suspend The Global Warning Solutions Act of 2006 (AB 32). New video below.
The very successful and very wealthy Progressive, James Cameron lives quite the lifestyle, and is not at all bothered that you do not, and cannot if extreme and fraudulent green legislation continues to cripple our country. Backing up my "fraudulent" accusation is the news that California lied about emission in the state by 340% to get their "landmark Diesel Law," which among other things, will require every vehicle to have a motor produced no earlier than 2010. The second video is McAleer questioning Al Gore (it's priceless)
