GOProud is a group of gay conservatives in Washington D.C. Ann Coulter was asked to give the keynote address and she accepted. The fundraiser known as Homocon is scheduled for September 25th. The location has not been announced.
“I’m so tickled that she agreed to do it,” Jimmy LaSalvia, executive director of GOProud told The Daily Caller. “Think about it: She’s hilarious, she’s provocative and, honestly, our folks just love her.”
LaSalvia said Coulter was the only person the group asked to headline the party, and she immediately agreed.“Of course I’ll do it,” Coulter wrote to GOProud when they asked her to join the event. “I’m the right-wing Judy Garland!”GOProud used that quip to advertise the event, adding, “our gays are more macho than their straights!” which Coulter wrote in a 2005 article comparing liberals and conservatives.

In February 2010, former U.S. congressman, Tom Tancredo spoke at a TEA Party convention and said Barack Obama was a "committed socialist ideologue." He smacked John McCain for his 2007 amnesty advocacy and said the U.S. is steeped in "the cult of multiculturalism," and said "the race for American is on right now." The mainstream media took their liberal lash to Tancredo. They owe him a loud apology. He also warned of drug-related violence in Mexico and said it was "moving north." As most of us knew, Tancredo was spot-on.
Former Congressman and 2008 Republican presidential candidate Tom Tancredo told an audience on Thursday at the Tea Party Convention in Nashville that "people who could not even spell the word 'vote', or say it in English, put a committed socialist ideologue in the White House."
"So the race for America is on right now. The president and his left-wing allies in Congress are going to look at every opportunity to destroy the Constitution before we have a chance to save it," Tancredo told the delegates. "So put your running shoes on. Because I'll tell you, I've heard we need a revolution. My friends, we already had it. We lost. I mean, what happened to us in that last election was a revolution."Tancredo was one the most conservative members of Congress. The American Conservative Union gave him a 99% favorable rating. He ran for president in 2008. I would have voted for him in a heartbeat. The media characterized him as a candidate with one issue to run on - illegal migrants, but a review of his record shows he had his thumb on the pulse of conservatism.

The Transportation Security Administration reversed their decision to block TSA employees from viewing undefined "controversial opinion" on government computers. As noted yesterday, porn is still acceptable according to the long history of employee privilege doing so on taxpayer computers. Read that story here. Source for the reversal CBS.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has banned workers using government computers to surf over to websites with controversial opinions. Porn sites, however, have been preserved in keeping with the past history of government workers immersed in pornography.
"To manage this dramatic increase without an increase in staff required us to significantly reduce our efforts to investigate grant fraud," the inspector general recently told Congress in a budget request. "We anticipate a significant decline in investigative recoveries and prosecutions in coming years as a direct result."How sick are these people, specifically those in Management? I've had enough. How about you?

Bill Clinton was the first black president in the U.S. The Washington Post posits that Obama may be the first woman president. On behalf of all Conservative women, I take umbrage and say this is incredibly offensive to each of us. To the Washington Post, make it clear, puh-leese that Obama may be the first Democrat female president, but in no way resembles any Conservative woman.

In this video, the conversation with Chris Matthews and his guest, Politico's Jim VandeHei, is the whine that Republicans believe they have momentum, so will not help "The President" with any of his legislation. When I hear this, and I do, over and over, I find myself talking back to the screen. The point is, we agree with absolutely nothing coming out of this White House. Everything is radical, so why would we co-operate? After VanderHei drones on, Matthews breaks in and compares Republicans to suicide bombers...and says we "don't care who dies." See the video below.

Fifteen-year-old Jonathan Krohn is an amazing young man, but he still has some bubbles left to burst. He just hasn't lived enough life yet. For some reason Jonathan is dismissing Obama's background and training. That's okay - even though he thinks you and I are spreading "filth." It takes time to fully understand the breadth of the threat stalking this country. See a video below.

She is the daughter of John and Cindy McCain. She calls herself a "progressive Republican." Her Dad calls himself a conservative Republican. Neither are either.
You know what's wrong with Meghan McCain? It's not her weight. It's not her voice. It's not her looks. She's a beautiful young girl with TV-friendly poise and natural charm. The trouble with Meghan McCain is that, like her father, she has no fixed ideological principles - conservative, liberal, or otherwise....She seems to have inherited the notion that playing the "maaaaverick" imparts her with moral authority and credibility as a fresh voice for the GOP. I'm all for peaking truth to power. But like her father, Ms McCain's maaaaverick-iness appears to be rooted less in any firm set of beliefs than in the need for liberal approbation.
Take her "beef with Ann Coulter." If Ms. McCain sincerely detests Coulter's "demeanor" and "extreme" thinking, statements, and behavior because they represent "hate" and alienate young voters, then how is it that the same genteel ms. McCain can cheer the cretinous, left-wing extremist Russell Brand?Meghan tweeted about Brand being "freaking hilarious," and then linked to his website.
[Meghan McCain] is "just another Valley Girl gone awry," and "plus-sized."That's what started the "fat ass" comments.
After urging the Republican Party to stop being "so stubborn and closed-minded," McCain added that Democrats are capable of intolerance as well. She accused MSNBC's Keith Olberman of doing just as much damage as Rush Limbaugh, worrying that the tenor of their political discussions will result in a whole generation that will have no desire to get involved with politics.Pity isn't it? Rush will drive the young away from Conservatism? Oh wait - young people are more conservative today than ever, and Meghan, they don't like your message. A study by The Chronicle of Higher Education, says that 24% of conservative college students support gay marriage as you do, but that means 75% percent do not. In Meghan's mind, conservatives are:
...dying off, becoming less and less relevant to the party structure as a whole." [From the Daily Beast article]Dad, John McCain, a loose political cannon if there ever was one, supporting amnesty for multiple-millions said back in the summer of 2008 that he has heard from "the people" and learned his lesson on amnesty, but...but...his campaign stage was shared by Juan Hernandez, who quietly joined the McCain campaign staff and hung out with Meghan. Hot Air has this quote from Hernandez saying "of Mexicans who move to the US:
I want the third generation, the seventh generation, I want them all to think of of Mexico first."
They said we were going to be foundation of a new Democratic movement. They labeled us a generation upon which Democrats could build a political dynasty. They though we bled blue. They were wrong.
A little more than a year after Barack Obama won 18-29 year olds by a 2-to-1 margin, young adults are changing course. We were wooed by the promise of "change," only to find a year later that things have changed for the worse. Washington is different, but only because it is bigger...The reach of government into our lives has been altered, but only because their arm is longer. This is not the change we voted for and we're taking note."Meghan alludes to being on a campaign to "hip up" the Republican party. Being a Republican "is about as edgy as Donny Osmond," she said, and she slammed last year's CPAC speakers, young author/speaker Jonathan Krohn, and Christian-activist Stephen Baldwin, and dismissed them as though they had no political thought - especially when compared to her own.

David Lemon at Clay to Bronze 2010 just sent this heads-up about an effort to be finalized in March, to change textbooks with changes like removing Daniel Boone, General George Patton, Nathan Hale, Columbus Day and Christmas. But how about this:
Replacing the term "American" with "Global Citizen"– stating that students need to be shaped "for responsible citizenship in a global society" without any mention of citizenship in American society.
~ Removing references to Daniel Boone, General George Patton, Nathan Hale, Columbus Day, and Christmas.
~ Including the cultural impact of hip hop music, ACLU lawyer clarence Darrow, and the Hindu holiday of Diwali
~ Replacing the term "American" with "Global Citizen" - stating that students need to be shaped "for responsible citizenship in a gloval society" without any mention of citizenship in American society.
~ Replacing expansionism and free enterprise with imperialism and capitalism. The Board's next meeting is in March and the final reading and adoption of the social studies guidelines will be in May.

A new Gallup poll shows 53% of Democrats and Left-leaners view Socialism positively, with only 17% of Republicans or Right-leaners doing the same. Seventy-two percent of Republicans are positive toward Capitalism, but
only 53% of Democrats share that view. That is a scary stat: think
about it, barely half of Democrats think Capitalism is a good idea for
America.
Among those considering themselves "moderates," 39% have a positive view of Socialism, and 54% do not. Sixty-one percent of self-described Liberals view Socialism in a positive light. Among all Americans, 58% see Socialism as a negative, and 36 percent view it positively.
Among all Americans in this poll only 4% had a negative view toward small business, 10% has a negative view of free enterprise, 10% sees entrepreneurs negatively, 33% are negative toward capitalism, 51% see the federal government as a negative, and in the only tie in the poll, "big business" is deemed both negatively and positively by 49% each.
Republicans and Right-leaners and Democrats and Left-leaners, each see small business, free enterprise and entrepreneurs positively, but the divide comes when capitalism is mentioned.

Hehehe. Olbermann says conservatives are "crazy" to think his ratings are down. Can't wait to hear O'Reilly on this one. Olbermann didn't mention the FOXNews primetime star, who bashes Olbermann and MSNBC daily, but his photo, all done up in a tux does flash on the screen. In the video below you'll hear a rant about former First Lady Laura Bush's press secretary. Still blaming Bush.
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 4: I haven’t mentioned it yet, but it’s been a rough week for Keith Olbermann. January’s viewership numbers were released a few days ago, and “Countdown” was down 44% among adults ages 25 to 54 from last year at this time. He drew 268,000 viewers a night in that key group, compared to his rival Bill O’Reilly’s 964,000. The New York Post asked, “Has the countdown begun for the end of ‘Countdown with Keith Olbermann?’” Earlier in the week, Olbermann had bashed the AOL-owned website DailyFinance, not known for any particular partisan bent, as a “right-wing site” (that phrase has been erased from the transcript, but you can see it here: Link) TRANSCRIPT, SEGMENT
Tonight Olbermann fought back yet again against some of the ratings chatter that has been plaguing him all week. He boasted that his numbers grew between December and January, which unfortunately is not the relevant comparison and not a measurement anyone uses, unless they’re desperately trying to prove their own relevance. Well, for what it’s worth, Keith, you still have one loyal viewer who hopes “Countdown” has a long life on MSNBC. I really need this job.

I'm loving this list of the Top 20 Influential conservatives from the UK's Telegraph. This is the way Britain sees America - with Dick Cheney the No. 1 most influential US conservative. This is Sarah Palin's first year on the list and she is No. 4. Love Rush at No. 3. The full list from 1 -100 is below.
The Telegraph says this list covers the year from the day Barack Obama took office until now. Their description of conservative is "people identifiably - though not always self-described - as right of center.
A few of my thoughts:
What's up with Mark Sanford, disgraced governor of South Carolina showing anywhere on the list - even in last place?
Michelle Malkin deserves to be much higher.
Mary Matalin has not been an influential conservative for some time now.
Richard Lugar? Hardly influential. Dittos Olympia Snowe. Both influence no one. They just vote with Democrats
Peggy Noonan no longer influences, as she once did.
Love Dick Cheney being No. 1! There is no truer conservative, and when he speaks, his words count with many of us.On the list of 100 Influential Liberals, Obama is No. 1. His dog, Bo is No. 80, not far down the list from Keith Olbermann.

The Telegraph UK is releasing their list of the 100 most influential Conservatives, and the 100 most influential Liberals, while Barack Obama sat in the Oval Office - In the Time of Obama. The lists will be revealed, a few at a time, over the next few days, with the top 20 coming out on January 15th.
The Telegraphs says they view those chosen as "identifiably" conservative, although not "always self-described" as such (dittos Liberals).
These are not lists that rank ideological purity – the number one liberal will not necessarily be any more liberal than number 100 – but they will inevitably discriminate against centrists, technocrats, independents and fence-sitters.The first Telegraph List covered 2007-2008. If the Conservative was on the previous list, I've put the ranking in parentheses.

My friend and blog-gal-pal Jenn Sierra at Fort Hard Knox is an SEO expert. She has helped me immensely at times when I knew something was wrong with my blog, but did not know how to ferret-out the problem. I'm learning that Conservative bloggers need to "get geeky" to win the battle waged by Liberals.

Last week I posted that a fellow blogger, Maria, would be appearing on the Glenn Beck Show on November 5th. Well, the whole world knows that Glenn was in-hospital having his appendix removed. The show was rescheduled. So Maria will be there today along with fellow Black Conservative bloggers.

Remember William "Bill" Sparkman, the part time census worker found hanging from a tree, naked and bound with the word "Fed" written across his check in black marker? Police are looking closely at suicide in this case. See update 11-14-09 below.
And they even had duct tape around his neck. And they had like his identification tag on his neck. They had it duct-taped to the side of his neck, on the right side, almost on his right shoulder..."Nevertheless, police are pulling back on the idea of homicide and say there are several reasons why suicide may be a possibility:
There were no defensive wounds on Sparkman's body, and while his hands were bound with duct-tape, they were still somewhat mobile, suggesting he could have manipulated the rope, the officials said.NewsBusters says the media has gone silent, now that suicide is a possiblity. Few are talking about Mr. Sparkman these days, as there may be no one to blame. This is a very sad story. William Sparkman was a substitute teacher and has battled non-Hodgkins Lymphoma for years. He was single and had an adopted son. That I.D. tag on his neck is exceedingly weird.

The state of Maine has repealed their law allowing same-sex marriage. The lesson: when "the people" are allowed to vote, the outcome is often very different from what was legislated.
The outcome Tuesday marked the first time voters had rejected a gay-marriage law enacted by a legislature. When Californians put a stop to same-sex marriage a year ago, it was in response to a court ruling, not legislation. With the repeal of the state of Maine's law allowing same-sex marriage last night, gay rights activists have now lost in every state that has offered the question to the voter.
Five other states have legalized gay marriage - starting with Massachusetts in 2004, and followed by Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Iowa - but all did so through legislation or court rulings, not by popular vote. In contrast, constitutional amendments banning gay marriage have been approved in all 30 states where they have been on the ballot.
The institution of marriage has been preserved in Maine and across the nation," declared Frank Schubert, chief organizer [Stand for Marriage Maine] for the winning side.Graphic credit: Produced by Maria Godoy / NPR

PJTV's Steven Crowder visits the Berkeley campus. Referencing Glenn Beck's new book, Arguing with Idiots, Crowder shows us why Beck's book is a necessity for survival amid the idiocy. Watch this video confirming what we've known for a long time now, but is astonishing to actually see and hear. (You'll love the conversation about Mary Jo Kopechne).

CBS' Katie Couric treats us to a page from her "notebook," which polls say no one cares about these days. Townhalls are a "sideshow," she says, and "fear and ignorance" reign.
Couric quotes a man at one of Senator Arlen Specter's Townhall's saying that the healthcare legislation "has awakened a sleeping giant," Couric can't let that man's opinion have an ounce of respect. "Not exactly" she says. What it has done is "stirred a hornets nest." To Couric, conservatives are certainly not giants, they are hornets. "Disturbing attitudes and emotions that have nothing to do with policy," perky Katie tell us, is what conservative opinions are all about. We are "drowning out serious debate," in our Townhall "sideshows." I hope she keeps talking. We know from the polls the more she talks the lower her ratings go. Consider this, conservative authors are discussing conservative issues, and who is at the top of the best selling non-fiction book category: Michelle Malkin's Culture of Corruption, Mark Levine's Liberty and Tyranny, and Glen Beck's Common Sense. Yes, I think a sleeping giant is awakening, if not erupting. See the video here.
