Quote of the Day: Ace on Coulter and Farah

Joseph Farah at WorldNetDaily has stepped off the precipice and printed private emails from Ann Coulter, in a dispute over Ann's speech at the GOProud "HOMOCON" convention. Really now, does Farah believe he can slay a monster by printing their private conversation? Apparently so. In general, I agree with a column at Hot Air that this takes the focus off of health care, the economy, jobs and Iran nuking Israel. I found a quote from Ace at Ace of Spades that is pretty much my position (the following are snippets - please read it all here.

The GOP cannot be an overtly, officially religious party charged with monitoring everyone's personal sins. It cannot be. Ever. I view the party on morality as I view it on economics. A government cannot create wealth; it can only, and should only endeavor to, foster a wealth-friendly environment in which wealth-creation is likely.
Similarly, a government cannot mandate what sort of sex is legal and what sex is illegal. It can only foster a morality-friendly environment win which moral behavior is likely.
There are situations when the government is required to make some kind of official legislative choice on matters typically deemed moral. The law of marriage is an obvious one; drug prohibition has typically been considered another.
But the party cannot agitate to expand and multiply the number of decisions it will make on "behalf" of citizens, against their will, to enforce a morally hygienic lifestyle.....
Coulter is not a gay marriage advocate, but an opponent, which leads me to conclude that Farah is ultimately not agitating for a policy position like traditional marriage only, but simply for that which is impermissible: taking an anti-gay-person stance, period.
It's true that 90% of gays (including conservative-leaning gays) want gay marriage. It's also true that a significant portion of the greater conservative caucus is Paulite in its hostility towards the use of military force, and a larger (but now no longer majority, I don't think) part of the caucus is neocon in its faith in military solutions.
We generally disagree on these issues without attempting to cast out the unbelievers. (Okay, admission: During the height of the Iraq War, and the height of manufactured "Paulmania," with all of his appearances on Truther Alex Jones' show, I sure did welcome the prospect of purging the party of such people. But as a general rule, we don't do that.)
Farah's position is essentially that gays simply cannot be conservatives at all and must be purged from the party. He does not seem to be an opponent of a policy, but an opponent of specific people. That doesn't strike me as fair, conservative, or keeping with the American way of doing things...
Read J.E. Dyer's Hot Air column here. If you want to read all the dreadful details, do an Ann Coulter Joseph Farah search.

Lindsey Graham Censured by Republican Party: Lindsey Graham Compromised?

Lindsey Graham is taking a verbal beating this week. After years of head-scratching defections to liberalism, all-the-while claiming he will put his conservatism up against anyone, then skittering away to another secret meeting of the Gang of 14 or the Gang of 10, America is getting a bit nervous about the South Carolinia Senator. His own state Republican party has censured him at least twice in recent months. See an excellent video below.

Lindsey Graham

Today, Sen. Graham (R-SC) is working with Democrats on a Cap and Tax Bill and an Amnesty Bill. Now that's enough to drive a voter crazy. You vote for the man, and turns traitor and pretty much laughs in your face. The Party has censured him twice, and Cap and Trade and Immigration were specifically mentioned. He is accused of failing to abide by the principles of the South Carolina GOP platform and showing "contempt and belligerence" toward fellow Republicans.

In November 2009, he was censured for a long list of misconduct: his support of TARP, his support of Immigration, his support of Cap and Trade alongside of John Kerry - which the resolution says will be a job killer in the state of South Carolina, and for joining the Gangs of 14 and 10, for weakening the "Republican brand and tarnishing the ideals of freedom, rule of law, and fiscal conservatism."

Graham is not up for reelection until 2012. That's a good thing for Graham. This week, the president of ALIPAC (Americans for Legal Immigration PAC) spoke in Greenville, South Carolina and said Lindsey Graham is compromised because he is gay. In otherwords, perhaps, Graham is doing the bidding of Democrats in key areas because he is threatened - 'join us or we will out you.'

I have no idea if this is true or not, on any level, and I do not care that he is a gay man, if he is, but his stark left turns do more than raise eyebrows, and especially when being conservative on every level is the mission of the day. If he can be compromised because of a "secret" he wishes to keep, then he needs to leave the Senate - now.

Watch Lindsey Graham's Hot Air Balloon by the Southern Avenger, and note that Graham calls an angry townhall "the fringe group."

Gen. James Conway: Heterosexual Homosexual Marines Will Not Room Together

General James Conway says no matter what happens to military policy, he will do everything possible to keep heterosexual Marines from rooming with homosexual Marines.

General James Conway

In an article on Military.com, Gen. Conway said the policy means "we have to build BEQ's [bachelor enlisted quarters] and have single rooms.

The Stars and Stripes published a letter by Army Lt. Gen. Benjamin Mixon asking military and civilians to write their Congressmen and urge them oppose repeal of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy. Mixon received a reprimand from Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, and Admiral Mike Mullen said Mixon should considering resigning over his statement. This is a portion of Gen. Mixon's letter:
If those of us who are in favor of retaining the current policy do not speak up, there is no chance to retain the current policy...
Also on March 25, Pentagon chief Robert Gates announced new guidelines intended to make it more difficult to boot someone from the service under DADT, including elevating the grade of officers able to separate gay servicemembers to flag and general officers only. Previously, O-6s could separate members determined to have committed homosexual conduct, according to a Defense Department statement.

From Gen. Conway:
In this case, I would want to reserve the right of a Marine that thinks he or she wouldn't want to [share a room with a homosexual]. And again that's the overwhelming...number of people that say that they wouldn't like to do so.
In a Senate hearing, Gen. John Sheehan, a former senior Marine officer and Nato commander blamed "open homosexuality" in the Dutch Army for the failure to prevent the Srebrenica massacre in 1995. At the end of the cold war, the General said, there was:
...a focus on peacekeeping operation because they did not believe the Germans were going to attack again or the Soviets were coming back
The case in point that I'm referring to is when the Dutch were required to defend Srebrenica against the Serbs, he said, referrring to the UN peacekeeping force deployed to protect Bosnian Muslim civilians.
The battalion was understrength, poorly led, and the Serbs came into town, handcuffed the soldiers to the telephone poles, marched the Muslims off and executed them.
Senator Carl Levin, the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee asked Gen. Sheehan if the Dutch leaders told him the failure to defend was because there were gay soldiers there? Sheehan said "yes," "they included that as part of the problem.

Levin as much as called the General a liar. The Dutch defense minister said Sheehan's claims were "complete nonsense."

Obama Uganda Gays: Bashing Christians- Ignoring Islamic Hate: Obama National Prayer Breakfast Transcript

President Obama and Hillary Clinton both spoke briefly at the National Prayer Breakfast about Ugandan legislation to make homosexuality a crime in Uganda, a crime that could draw the death penalty for "serial offenders." The hidden message is: Christians are behind the Ugandan bill to oppress gays, but he makes no mention of the most torrid gay-haters of all time - Islam. Bash Christians at the National Day of Prayer breakfast, ignore Islamic hate - go figure. See the transcript of Obama's Prayer Breakfast speech below commentary.

Religion in Uganda is divided almost equally between Catholics and Protestants, with 42% each. Twelve percent of the population is Muslim. This Ugandan bill was introduced by David Bahati, who may ties with a controversial Christian group known as The Family. Throughout Islam, homosexuality is punishable by death, although that punishment is not always carried out. Eighty-three countries have laws against homosexuality. Of the 83, 26 are Muslim countries. Seven countries carry the death penalty for "homosexual acts," but...Sharia Law allows the death penalty, at all times.

Obama's message today was subtle. You may have missed it. Leave it to Barack Obama to put the spotlight on Christianity, when it comes to the oppression of gays, but never mentions the heinous crimes against homosexuals by Muslim countries - the only countries where the call for discrimination and, often death, is loud and clear.

Homosexuals die in Afghanistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and thoughtout the Muslim world. Has the President ever condemned them? Iran's President Achmadinejad recently said there "are no homosexuals in Iran." Here's why.

If gay communities everywhere were to be a part of the President's comments today, then it was appropriate to bring up Uganda's Anti-Homosexual legislation, specifically because it calls for the death penalty, but why not call out Islam, and it's routine torture, imprisonment, and death of gays. Why not ask our Nation to pray for the safety of homosexuals throughout the world, and from the podium at the National Day of Prayer Breakfast, call out Iran, Afghanistan, and Saudi Arabia, where the citizens often take over the punishment, saving the government the bother.

In today's speech, more than once, he hinted at Christian intolerance. Who do you think he is talking about with this quote:

For centuries, entire religions have been persecuted, all in the name of perceived righteousness.
Citing the "Golden Rule" and the words of Jesus to 'Love our neighbors as we love ourselves," he quoted an Islamic hadith that cites brotherhood, but ignores that non-believers cannot be brothers with a Muslim. He said there is no religion having a central tenant of hate...but ignores the fact that jihad is called for against any non-believer. He ignores that you and I are non-believers.

Off-topic only a slight bit, but nevertheless relevant, is Obama's failure to call out Palestinian laws that call for the extinction of Jews...the death of Jews. It's no different than the call for death to homosexuals. While demanding a two-state solution in Palestine, with Israel giving up their land in exchange for a peaceful relationship with Palestinians, has Obama, or our State Department, pointed out that Palestinian Constitutions and Charters simply do not allow such a relationship with Israel... or admitted that the "solution" is folly because of the unmitigated hatred from one people toward another people? No he has not.

Other comments in this speech are just as disingenuous. He said our faith requires us not only to believe:
...but to do - to give something of ourselves for the benefit of others and the betterment of our world.
He thinks we do not give, yet the records show that he and Michelle gave next to nothing in years 2000-2004, even though he was an Illinois Senator for three of these year. In 2005 he gave 4% and in 2006 6.7% of his adjusted gross income - as he eyed the presidential campaign trail for 2007. See The TaxProf Blog for how uncharitable this power couple were. And now he denigrates our lack of giving something of ourselves.

In Obama's new budget released this week, he is trying to reduce or do away with tax deductions for charitable giving, and in a speech he accused parents of spending tuition money on gambling in Las Vegas!  He thinks we do nothing! The betterment of our world, in The Time of Obama, is directing and instructing ACORN, and moving incredible powers into the hands of organizations like them. Believe me, the agenda here is to force all "giving" from the government. if passed, the new budget will bring $291 billion to government coffers, from what was once a deduction to you, over the next ten years.  Congress shot this down early last year. Here it is back again.
The White House is expecting to collect an additional $291 billion over the next decade by reducing the write-off for families earning over $250,000 despite the fact Congress roundly rejected such a measure last year. While the administration is portraying this as a populist move, experts have said the end result will be a significant blow to charities and non-profits already reeling in the midst of the recession.

Roberton Williams, a senior fellow at the Tax Policy Center said the rule change would make it about 10 percent more expensive for individuals affected to donate to charity. He estimated that would correspond to a $10 billion drop in donations out of the $300 billion Americans give annually.
But here is Obama's real agenda, his secret agenda: enslave the people. Make them come to the government for everything:
Last year the Obama administration defended the move, claiming that the $100 million included in the Recovery Act for charities and non-profits would help cover the gap, along with the natural rise in donations following the economic recovery. Those arguments will be even tougher to make this year with the country still mired in double-digit unemployment and no second stimulus for charities in the works.
I think that can be a naive view, that charities will be specifically helped by getting potential government dollars instead of private dollars they are getting right now,” Riley said. “The idea that private money will be replaced by growth that may or may not happen, government programs that may or may not happen, seems at best a risky bet.”
Okay, that's my rant. Here's the transcript:
Good morning. I want to thank the Co-Chairs of this breakfast, Representatives Heath Shuler and Vernon Ehlers. I’d also like to thank Tony Blair for coming today, as well as our Vice President, Joe Biden, members of my Cabinet, members of Congress, clergy, friends, and dignitaries from across the world.

Michelle and I are honored to join you in prayer this morning. I know this breakfast has a long history in Washington, and faith has always been a guiding force in our family’s life, so we feel very much at home and look forward to keeping this tradition alive during our time here.

It’s a tradition that I’m told actually began many years ago in the city of Seattle. It was the height of the Great Depression, and most people found themselves out of work. Many fell into poverty. Some lost everything.

The leaders of the community did all that they could for those who were suffering in their midst. And then they decided to do something more: they prayed. It didn’t matter what party or religious affiliation to which they belonged. They simply gathered one morning as brothers and sisters to share a meal and talk with God.

These breakfasts soon sprouted up throughout Seattle, and quickly spread to cities and towns across America, eventually making their way to Washington. A short time after President Eisenhower asked a group of Senators if he could join their prayer breakfast, it became a national event. And today, as I see presidents and dignitaries here from every corner of the globe, it strikes me that this is one of the rare occasions that still brings much of the world together in a moment of peace and goodwill.

I raise this history because far too often, we have seen faith wielded as a tool to divide us from one another - as an excuse for prejudice and intolerance. Wars have been waged. Innocents have been slaughtered. For centuries, entire religions have been persecuted, all in the name of perceived righteousness.

There is no doubt that the very nature of faith means that some of our beliefs will never be the same. We read from different texts. We follow different edicts. We subscribe to different accounts of how we came to be here and where we’re going next - and some subscribe to no faith at all.

But no matter what we choose to believe, let us remember that there is no religion whose central tenet is hate. There is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being. This much we know.

We know too that whatever our differences, there is one law that binds all great religions together. Jesus told us to "love thy neighbor as thyself." The Torah commands, "That which is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow." In Islam, there is a hadith that reads "None of you truly believes until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself." And the same is true for Buddhists and Hindus; for followers of Confucius and for humanists. It is, of course, the Golden Rule - the call to love one another; to understand one another; to treat with dignity and respect those with whom we share a brief moment on this Earth.

It is an ancient rule; a simple rule; but also one of the most challenging. For it asks each of us to take some measure of responsibility for the well-being of people we may not know or worship with or agree with on every issue. Sometimes, it asks us to reconcile with bitter enemies or resolve ancient hatreds. And that requires a living, breathing, active faith. It requires us not only to believe, but to do - to give something of ourselves for the benefit of others and the betterment of our world.

In this way, the particular faith that motivates each of us can promote a greater good for all of us. Instead of driving us apart, our varied beliefs can bring us together to feed the hungry and comfort the afflicted; to make peace where there is strife and rebuild what has broken; to lift up those who have fallen on hard times. This is not only our call as people of faith, but our duty as citizens of America, and it will be the purpose of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships that I’m announcing later today.

The goal of this office will not be to favor one religious group over another - or even religious groups over secular groups. It will simply be to work on behalf of those organizations that want to work on behalf of our communities, and to do so without blurring the line that our founders wisely drew between church and state. This work is important, because whether it’s a secular group advising families facing foreclosure or faith-based groups providing job-training to those who need work, few are closer to what’s happening on our streets and in our neighborhoods than these organizations.

People trust them. Communities rely on them. And we will help them.

We will also reach out to leaders and scholars around the world to foster a more productive and peaceful dialogue on faith. I don’t expect divisions to disappear overnight, nor do I believe that long-held views and conflicts will suddenly vanish. But I do believe that if we can talk to one another openly and honestly, then perhaps old rifts will start to mend and new partnerships will begin to emerge. In a world that grows smaller by the day, perhaps we can begin to crowd out the destructive forces of zealotry and make room for the healing power of understanding.

This is my hope. This is my prayer.

I believe this good is possible because my faith teaches me that all is possible, but I also believe because of what I have seen and what I have lived.

I was not raised in a particularly religious household. I had a father who was born a Muslim but became an atheist, grandparents who were non-practicing Methodists and Baptists, and a mother who was skeptical of organized religion, even as she was the kindest, most spiritual person I’ve ever known. She was the one who taught me as a child to love, and to understand, and to do unto others as I would want done.

I didn’t become a Christian until many years later, when I moved to the South Side of Chicago after college. It happened not because of indoctrination or a sudden revelation, but because I spent month after month working with church folks who simply wanted to help neighbors who were down on their luck - no matter what they looked like, or where they came from, or who they prayed to. It was on those streets, in those neighborhoods, that I first heard God’s spirit beckon me. It was there that I felt called to a higher purpose - His purpose.

In different ways and different forms, it is that spirit and sense of purpose that drew friends and neighbors to that first prayer breakfast in Seattle all those years ago, during another trying time for our nation. It is what led friends and neighbors from so many faiths and nations here today. We come to break bread and give thanks and seek guidance, but also to rededicate ourselves to the mission of love and service that lies at the heart of all humanity. As St. Augustine once said, "Pray as though everything depended on God. Work as though everything depended on you."

So let us pray together on this February morning, but let us also work together in all the days and months ahead. For it is only through common struggle and common effort, as brothers and sisters, that we fulfill our highest purpose as beloved children of God. I ask you to join me in that effort, and I also ask that you pray for me, for my family, and for the continued perfection of our union. Thank you.

Britains War on Christians Video

Britain is waging a war on Christians. The homosexual agenda and Muslims in the country are on one side of the battlefield, and they are winning. Unabashadedly, the leadership of the country has ignored the fact that their own monarch receives her sovereignty over the Nation from an almighty God. A good question is: what is the monarchy doing about it?

Queen Elizabeth II

Below is a transcript as well as the video. Here's a pull-out quote:
"In the United Kingdom the homosexual agenda is militant," he said. "The power shift began in about 2000, and they've been arresting Christians, jailing Christians for hate crimes, shutting off grants, constant litigation with the government, constant aggression."
Transcript and video from CBN:
At her coronation, Queen Elizabeth, like British monarchs before her, promised to "maintain the laws of God and the true profession of the gospel." But today, Britain is at war with the gospel, and with itself.
British Christians who take their faith into the workplace risk being demoted or fired. The government continues to push an aggressive gay rights agenda, while threatening to criminalize Christian speech and practice.

Politician and head of the Christian party, George Hargreaves told CBN News he received a complaint for his billboard advertisement.
"Yesterday I got a letter from the advertising standards authority over complaints saying that my billboard that says Britain is a Christian country is offensive to atheists and other religions and it incites hatred against them. What nonsense," he said.
Hargreaves said Britain is constituted as a Christian country.
"Daily prayers are said in parliament whether atheists like it or not," he added. "The queen is head of the Church of England and therefore has to acknowledge God for her sovereignty over the nation. These things are written, not just into our culture and our heritage, but into our constitution."
At one time, Britain was the missionary base for the entire world, even sending missionaries to the new American colonies. But today, the cases of anti-Christian bigotry and discrimination have risen sharply.
In response, Christian legal centers like Christian Concern for Our Nation have mobilized.
Director Andrea Minichiello-Williams warns that if British Christians don't step up now, the nation is on a path to eventually criminalize the practice of Christianity in public.
"There's been a massive move by the secularist lobby to privatize religion," she said. "You can have faith so long as it doesn't affect you in the work place. So long as you don't bring it into the workplace. 'Just make it private. It can't be public. It can't affect what you do in the public square.'"
Christian Kwabena Peat was forced to attend homosexual sensitivity training at work, administered by a lesbian.
"One of things that she said was, she asked the question, 'What makes you think that to be heterosexual is natural?' At which point, I walked out," Peat said.
Then Peat wrote a letter to the sensitivity trainer, explaining the Bible's position on homosexuality, and that God loved her and Peat loved her. He was suspended.
"They said that by me telling them about the Word of God, it constituted harassment and intimidation," Peat said.
Peat was just recently reinstated. But cases like his are repeated over and over. Doctors, Nurses, adoptive parents, deemed unfit because of their Christian beliefs. Christians are told not to speak about God in the workplace or they could be punished for offending homosexuals or Muslims.
And now the British government wants to pass a new equality bill that would force churches to hire practicing homosexuals or transsexuals.
Christian lawyer Paul Diamond has been very successful in defending discrimination cases against Christians in the courts.
"In the United Kingdom the homosexual agenda is militant," he said. "The power shift began in about 2000, and they've been arresting Christians, jailing Christians for hate crimes, shutting off grants, constant litigation with the government, constant aggression.
Diamond said there is no "live and let live."
"Your Christian values are wicked and evil, and that's what they want everybody to believe," he added.
A BBC program called Bone Kickers, showed a violent Christian beheading a Muslim. Britain's government TV has also put a Muslim in charge of all of its religious programming.

Islam continues to advance in the UK in large part because the government and media give it almost a protected status, while essentially persecuting its own state religion, Christianity.
Many believe the architect of Britain's new anti-Christian culture was former Prime Minister Tony Blair, a professed Christian who championed gay rights. Both Minichiello-Williams and Diamond offered the same warning to American Christians: that any anti-life or hate crimes legislation that emerges under the Obama administration will erode America's Christian base.

"This is all coming to America," Minichiello-Williams said. "If you liberalize the laws as President Obama has done."
"Do you know who Obama reminds every British person of? Tony Blair," Diamond said. "Charming, persuasive, convincing, the appearance of moderation, and then he shoved all the Judeo-Christian values down while saying he was a Christian."
Diamond said the British know what is going to happen in America.
"We know what's going to happen to your 40 percent church attendance," he added. "It's not going to 40 percent. It's going to be 20 percent, when the Federal and state government start saying that if you criticize homosexuality, the hate crimes laws will apply to you Christians."
By some estimates it only took about 10 years for the state to almost completely undermine Britain's Christian heritage. Barring a sudden move of God, it is likely to take far longer to restore it.
Big sis says thanks to her littlest brother.

Maine Voters Repeal Same Sex Marriage Law: Maine Voters vs Maine Legislators Rejects Gay Marriage

The state of Maine has repealed their law allowing same-sex marriage. The lesson: when "the people" are allowed to vote, the outcome is often very different from what was legislated.

Maine Voters Repeal Gay Marriage

A law was passed by the Maine legislature last Spring, but "put on hold," after a petition drive was launched for a repeal referendum by Stand for Marriage Maine.
The outcome Tuesday marked the first time voters had rejected a gay-marriage law enacted by a legislature. When Californians put a stop to same-sex marriage a year ago, it was in response to a court ruling, not legislation.

Five other states have legalized gay marriage - starting with Massachusetts in 2004, and followed by Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Iowa - but all did so through legislation or court rulings, not by popular vote. In contrast, constitutional amendments banning gay marriage have been approved in all 30 states where they have been on the ballot.
With the repeal of the state of Maine's law allowing same-sex marriage last night, gay rights activists have now lost in every state that has offered the question to the voter.
The institution of marriage has been preserved in Maine and across the nation," declared Frank Schubert, chief organizer [Stand for Marriage Maine] for the winning side.

Frank Lombard is Duke Professor Gay Adoptive Rapist Dad: MSM Doesn't Care

A Duke University professor, Frank Lombard, has been arrested by the FBI for raping his 5-year-old adopted son and offering the boy for sex on the internet. Lombard confessed to despicable things. The mainstream media is reporting little. Stay tuned for unbelievable updates!

Frank Lombard
Frank Lombard is the associate director of Duke's Center for Health Policy. He is White. His son is Black. Lombard is gay. He is an academic. The FBI arrested him. He is charged with offering his young son for sex on the Internet. Interesting that initial reports from MSM failed to mention that Lombard is gay and this his adopted son is Black. Mike Adams writing at Townhall.com has the story. It will make your heart hurt. You remember the Duke Lacrosse players, all White, who were accused of raping a Black stripper. Eighty-eight Duke professors signed a statement accusing the students of racism and rape. No matter that the students denied the charges from the beginning and later were cleared of all guilt. The esteemed 88 didn't give a thought to presumed innocence. Once the not guilty verdict came down, here's what happened:
Perhaps even more stunning was the response of some professors after it became apparent that the white lacrosse players were innocent. After that became so obvious the school had to readmit the students, Professor Kate Holloway resigned her committee assignments in protest. By the way, the most common form of faculty protest these days is to refuse to work. Most people think this kind of protest is caused by arrogance. But the actual cause is a thing called “tenure.”
Here's some more about how this child suffered, from David Drake [all emphasis is Drake's]:
[An] informant told investigators he had met Lombard on the Internet four years ago. The informant described in graphic detail how he allegedly observed Lombard molesting an African-American child on four occasions over an Internet video chat service called ICUii. The informant said, according to court papers, that Lombard, who is white, said that he lived in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina and that the child was one of two adopted African-Americans in his custody. Lombard has been charged with attempting to induce someone to cross state lines to engage in sex with a child, punishable by a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. Lombard allegedly used the adult Internet service to conduct his video chats. According to an affidavit in support of the arrest warrant, the Internet service indicated that Lombard's profile "stated he was interested in "perv fam fun," a reference to "incestuous child molestation." The service also told investigators that a customer service complaint had been sent to the company in January 2007. A customer who had chatted with Lombard complained to the company that Lombard said he was "into incest" and had adopted two African-American children, court records said.

A Washington, D.C., police detective who was investigating the case set up undercover chats with someone matching Lombard's description during which the detective says he was invited to fly to Raleigh to have sex with the person's 5- year-old adopted child. In his affidavit, Det. Timothy Palchak wrote that he engaged in a chat with someone using the screen name "FL" who provided nude pictures of himself. The pictures matched Lombard's North Carolina driver's license photo, according to the affidavit. During the chats, according to the affidavit, whom he adopted as an infant, and that he had allowed others to molest his child. "FL" told undercover investigators that he had himself molested his child,"FL" stated that "the abuse of the child was easier when the child was too young to talk or know what was happening, but that he had drugged the child with Benadryl during the molestation," Palchak wrote in his affidavit.
Update 7-2-09 10:25 a.m. CDT:
Arrest affidavit available here. Extremely graphic - don't go there unless you are prepared to fully read what Frank Lombard is alleged to have done to this poor child. Lombard was a member of "commune" and the the Episcopal Church of the Advocate in Carrboro, NC. A separate post on this subject is underway.
