ABCNews received new photographs taken from a police helicopter after the World Trade Towers were hit on 9/11/01. There a total of 13 photos. See the remaining photo essay here.
 
Both
main towers of the World Trade Center collapsed following the attack,
and as the towers fell part of the city was enveloped in smoke, ash and
debris.
